Abstract: تناول البحث تاثير الاختزال على الزجاج المؤكسد العالي الحرارة, اذ ان مشكلة البحث, معرفة التاثير على النتائج اللونية ونسيج السطح بالياته المختلفة بالمقارنة مع نتائجه بالحرق في الجو المؤكسد, وقد هدف البحث وضع قاعدة بيانات لتلك النتائج باختلاف الاجواء.تناول | This research dealt with the effect of reduction on the high temperature glaze, as the problem of the research is to know the effect on the color obtained and the effect on the surface texture in comparison with the results obtained in oxidized environment. The goal of the research was to establish a database for those results obtained in different environment.The second chapter dealt with the historical roots for the reduction technique used in the old civilization where different methods and techniques used.The research also studied the types of kilns and the methods used in both reduction and oxidization using fuel burn kilns. The research studied the most effective oxides used in reduction kiln especially Iron and Copper oxides in different ratios as well as different burning program.Three different glazing mixes was prepared, added to each one of them seven different quantities of the following : Three different glass mix been chosen after several experiments, then different percentage of oxide added was determined, red Iron oxide (Fe2O3) in percentages, 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32, Copper Carbonate (CuCO3) in percentages of 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16, the third mix was exactly the same second mix added to it 2 percent of Tin oxide (SnO2).A serious of firing program made in a Gas fired kiln with a firm downdraft controlled for both reduction and oxidation firing. Mean time all experiments done according to specific program through controlling the rate of temperature rise and timing the firing environment, the glass maturity temperature was set to be 1250 C°.Chemical and physical tests applied on the result of above which unveil a wide variation depending on the firing environments and the type of mix, all results shown in a comparison tables.Glaze mix was calculated according to glaze master program which shows the relation between the three oxide mix used (RO, R2O - R2O3 - RO2) accordingly the temperature and the property of glaze surface determined using Seger’s rule and Matrix dimensions system.Results were evaluated according to approved standards and scientific resources, as well as on the theoretical knowledge and previous studies.results were studied to find out the reason behind the color changes and the changes in surface texture in different firing environments.Most important conclusions are : • Reduction achieved good results for the high temperature glaze through increasing the activation of the material.• Celadon and Copper red colors obtained by adding low percent of coloring materials.• The desired copper red color was obtained by adding Stannic oxide (SnO2) which is quadratic ion (Sn+4 ) in oxidized environment to transform it to Stannous oxide (SnO) which is divalent ( Sn+2 ), in turn it will deoxidized during cool down process.• There was more shining and more even surfaces obtained in reduction process due to weakness in its structure for losing its binding Oxygen. The researcher recommended and suggested the following; • Studying the effect of reduction of high temperature glaze on porcelain clay.• Studying the variety results achieved by adding Copper and Iron oxides on high temperature glaze.• Studying the production of crystalline high temperature glaze in reduction environment.

Abstract: يعد فن الخزف من الفنون التي تعكس المهارة والابداع وتعد بمثابة سجلا تسجل فيه ابداعات الخزاف طوال مسيرته الفنية، ويبحث عن الذاتية والتفرد في العمل الخزفي ومايميز الشخصية الفنية من تقنية واسلوب كظاهرتين اساسيتين متميزتين للشخصية الفنية، وكان للخزافات العراقي | Is a ceramic artist and art that reflect the skill and creativity and serves as keep a record of the potter's creations throughout his career, looking for self - uniqueness in the work characteristic of ceramic and artistic character of the technique and style phenomenon two basic distinct personality of art.The Iraqi presence of potters and a key role player in the field of ceramic art and the posts it as a great space and reflect their ability to reveal the ideas and philosophical and aesthetic vision that has characterized the specificity of each Potter distinctive. This study is in five chapters, which included the first chapter of the research problem and then the importance of research, objectives, and limitations, has been determined by research into three Borders, which included the substantive attributes of the product in the contemporary the potters during the period between (1960 to 2003). The second chapter, the annexation of the theoretical framework and previous studies in which structure the three detectives, namely : The first topic : which was divided into two parts, I talked about 1 - Introduction to the concept of shape and definition and what it is, levels, shape and form an independent phenomenon and the meanings of the shape. 2 - Construction of the form formative and any which is consisting of himself, which dealt with (a) structural relations of the form, features and specifications. (B) elements and form the basis of composition, which included a number of elements intertwined and overlapping elements make up and nature. (C) The intermediary material (raw materials) and its impact in the shape of the characteristics of investment through to arrange the elements of form material. 3 - Effect of metaphor in characterizing the shape and types of these metaphors and their applications in the art form. The second part was a 1 - systems installation in the shape of a ceramic system and the law of any structure in the shape of a ceramic. 2 - modulation methods and techniques in ceramics, which included work on the modalities for the implementation of the clay and ceramic body. The second topic : the address of the historical foundation of the system form, which included 1 - Characteristics of the art form in ancient times human knowledge at the start and at the age of the caves. 2 - The characteristics of the art form in the old Iraq has covered developments in the study of form in the historical stages in the old Iraq stages. 3 - The characteristics of the art form in the Islamic era, and how different form in the Middle Ages and made his own mark, Art Islamic era, and then 4 - styles and trends affecting the restructuring has been accompanied by contemporary ceramic art pottery modren Iraq artistic schools and trends that have crystallized within the global art movement.The study singled out the third part, references influential in the formation of ceramic output in Iraq and monitor the most important these references, and then shifts the cultural and social co - founder of attributes to form when potters in Iraq, and previous studies that showed the two studies was the points of convergence and divergence, and the indicators gleaned from the context theory. The third chapter represents the proceedings of research and analysis and monitoring of the research community, which consists of a set of ceramic works accomplished by the Iraqi potters for the duration of (1960 - 2003) The number of potters research community (33) Potter, and produced a sample according to the willful manner a number of controls that were produced by depend upon personal and professional has been selected (9) potters research sample, has been chosen for each of five forms of ceramic Potter then analyzed within the framework of criteria and indicators of the theoretical approach to the method of survey and descriptive analysis of the ceramics curriculum description and extrapolation of research and reliance on scientific studies and research dealing with analysis of content of porcelain in Iraq, has been divided into two generations of potters , the first generation represented by the period of time (the sixties, seventies, eighties) and second - generation (eighties, nineties, two thousand). The fourth chapter singled out the findings and conclusions, the results have been divided according to potters attributes of the inventory at each Potter.The conclusions were : 1. The topics of life that represent human forms, especially the man or woman and animal shapes like birds, fish and horses, the main topics selected by the potters and worked within them.2. Social relations have emerged, particularly the relationship of men and women in much of the potters. 3. Any forms characterized by the double is often the representation of the relationship of men and women a diagnosis or by implication, mother and son relationship in the frequency and therefore a clear and readable. 4. Characterized by geometric shapes circle formations - the box - the cube - the rectangle - the ball - the cylinder in the starting line - or internal design. 5. potters adopted the first generation of breeding color and showiness in it, while the second generation relied potters Unification color or the number of colors, sometimes dark, harmonious and blurry at times. 6. Abstract: يتناول هذا البحث وضع قاعدة بيانات ومواصفات للزجاج المعتم وباستخدام ثلاثة انواع من الزجاج ( Lead , Borax , Alkaline ) وبدرجة نضج حراري واحدة هي (960 م)، وتم تحديد نوعين من خلطات الاجسام الفخارية (طين كاؤولين دويخلة الابيض، وطين خان بني سعد). وتم استخد | This research deals with the database and specification of opaque glaze by using three types of glaze (Lead, Borax, Alkaline) and the degree of thermal maturity of one (960c), have been identified two types of mixtures of clay bodies (white clay Kaolin Doeakhla and Khan Bani Saad clay).The use of three types of parity opicity Quartet (ZrO2, TiO2, SnO2) was added in different proportions, starting from 4% and up before damage or distort the glaze.The results have been evaluated and the selection of a sample search through all the models to the system,, the beginning point of opacity and the highest point of opacity before glaze cooled down and stiffened.Was conducted several tests on samples of the glass sample analysis, the most important color and intensity of emulsion and the glaze factory and break it and assess the degree of transparency and shiny and hardness, scratch test, resistance to abrasion and chemical materials.Tests showed that the opaque material used in this research have an impact in giving the mixed color glaze, The whiteness color or close to white and the cubic equivalent opaque (ZrO2, TiO2, SnO2) its ability to opaque the ceramic body make deferent obesities such as shiny opacity, semi opacity, matt smooth, hard matt., and that the causes of darkness resulting from the zircon and tin oxide (ZrO2, SnO2) in the temperature (960 c) remain stuck in the glass of liquid (not melted) and the interaction between them and the vehicle increases as the glaze and add more value attributed to the saturation point of darkness, while the oxide titanium (TiO2) have melted and interacted with the glass of vehicles contributed to a new crystal glaze in the opacity.The microscopic imaging of the samples that there is a direct correlation between the amount of bubbles in the glass and the opaque and the size and opaque, as it turned out that there was a relationship between surface roughness and matt ness waviness and reflected light and its scattering.The laboratory tests conducted were as follows : - - test the hardness Tin gave the highest resistance to the glass harder, while the hardness of the titanium oxides and zircon. - test of scratches The tin and titanium was equal or less to resist scratches, it either zirconium scored higher than the resistance of transparent glaze. - test of acid Tests showed that the glass had not been affected by chemical and acid due to an increase in the proportion of acid in mixtures of glaze and opaque

And identifies research in study outcomes the Fatimid porcelain executing materials and different oxides on the surfaces of these porcelain productions in Egypt, within the specified of time period between (969 AD - 358 AH), (1171 AD - 567 AH). The second chapter : has included theoretical framework and previous studies , and which contained three sections : the first section deals and which included two axes ,the first axis significance between the concept and terminology , the second is understood place and the data in the arts , the second section deals with study of the structure of place in the art of ancient civilization ( Iraqi and Egyptian ), the third section included two axes the first axis deals with the study of the place in Islamic art while the second axis deals with approaches of place in products of Islamic porcelain. And seal the theoretical framework with set of indications and previous studies. the third chapter deals with procedures of research which include identifying research community and selection of the research sample the amount of (15) porcelain work, then the search tool and description and analysis of sample. While the fourth chapter included the research results and conclusions, as well as the recommendations and suggestions, Among the findings of the researcher is : 1. The aesthetic connotation for place plays prominent role in the Islamic porcelain products and through osmosis properties the shape and meaning where mobile. 2. Islamic porcelain products showed clear interest in the nature of visual of the realistic place as in the models ( 11, 12, 13 ) and the imagined as in models (2, 9) and symbolic as in models (1, 3)3. Affected by the nature of the place in graphics executing on the products of Islamic porcelain, what is essential to the formal inclusion of the structural units (linear and colorimetric and volumetric and touch and space) as in models of search sample. And the conclusions reached by the researcher is : 1. Influenced the nature of the technical characteristics for systems formation the Islamic art and specifically (photography) on methods produce porcelain Islamic in terms of unity and diversity , lack of interest manddour, and stay away from materializing animate beings , abstraction , repetition and vacuum processing. 2. Some works of contemporary artistes are distinguished by making ceramic figures on ceramic surface.The monographic of this study aims at explaining the conception of the aesthetic system producing the ceramic body. Doing so enable us to enrich the knowledge medium with the research thesis ( The Aesthetics of Decoration Figures In Contemporary Iraqi Ceramics ). This research paper includes for basic chapters.The first chapter is concerned with the research main issue , importance , and need. It aims to identify the decorative figures in the contemporary ceramics and fined related terms and definitions.The second chapter is related to the theoretical frame it's result and results of previous studies. This chapter is further concerned with four topics. The first topic is intended to study the aesthetic philosophy ; the second one is about history entrance on ceramics art , the third topic is about shape and the fourth one id about history of decoration.Chapter three is concerned with procedures of the research using descriptive and analytic style. The research selection includes works of some ceramic artists during a limited time.The research sample includes ( 25 ) ceramic works chosen from the original selection in an intentional way. Chapter four is concerned with the statement of important results as follows : 1. Shapes balance in terms of contents and units on ceramic surface which showed aesthetic appearance. This created stability state result from the balanced ceramic works in addition to color harmony and mass balance.2. Among the aesthetic characteristics of ceramic components are the symmetrical decorative shapes which symmetrically depend on both ' X ' and ' Y ' axes.3. Ceramic figures beauty is made prominent by repetition characteristic in which units and items are related closely by drawing ceramic items repeatedly with out change.4. The Arabic letter appeared to be elegant with an arranged position with other letters , especially when it is used as a decorative figure in the contemporary ceramic. Therefore the ceramic artist manipulated the letter in two ways : Firstly , calligraphy was done with recognized script rules but in an occasionally repeated letter shapes and drawings. The letter was also drawn in a way so that repletion and symmetry were clearly apparent.In the second way , the letter was drawn and made with free - script rules.5. The geometrical elements decorative shapes with arrangements , symmetry , repletion , balanced and counter linear relations among them contributed to clear manifestation of the aesthetic aspect of the contemporary ceramics. The materials caused crystallization (ZnO) and (TiO2) in various proportions after treating (ZnO) and (TiO2) screening it to secure its melting in glazes. The results that researcher had done are valued and a selected ,sample has chosen ,after doing many modifications on the group of (ZnO) and (TiO2) upon the appearance of the clearly crystal by ( sight ). Titanium Dioxide was added to the group of zinc to know the influence of the in the crystal of zinc after that the colored oxides averse added which they were (CuO), (CoO), (MnO2), (TiO2.FeO) and (Fe2O3) in various proportions to show the beauty of the crystallized Stoneware. The researcher concluded within the experiences that there are many reasons that confine the produce of the crystallized Stoneware pottery in perfect way like the solid material and the addition of oxides which cause the crystallization in huge a mortal more than it is usual and the right application of equality and thickness and appoint the degree of crystallization and duration and cooling time upon scientific an accurate base.In the laboratory many tests had done and the result was that the examination of (X.R.D) showed that many crystals of new materials appeared after the disappear an of glazes

It sheds light on the systems of formalitive relations in the creative process and also on the nature of the Contemporary Pottery Formation in Germany, specially pottery and earth ware which bears the characteristics of and senses of the formaltive relations and the aesthetics of the pottery in expressing the new raw material and methods, and that manner of treating these relations focusing on the structuralism of component units of the pottery work through the formal distribution of the artistic items.The study was divided into four chapters. The first chapter is concerned with the problem which is the aesthetic and formalitive treating of the relations and the elements common in the Contemporary Pottery in Germany and importance, objectives, limits of the study as well as determining the terminology. The second chapter is the theoretical framework, which tackles the importance of the form in terms of appearance and the method of appearance for the philosophers and critics and artists inside the structure of the art work. the chapter included four inquiries. The first inquiry included the importance of form in Contemporary pottery and the dialectic relation between form and content. It also included several pivots such as the showing the alterations of form for the movement of art like the modernized classic, Romanticism and for the critical attitudes like structural, semiotic, deconstruction, and modernism and what follows reaching up to the concept of aesthetic in the modern art.The second inquiry treats the nature of the formaltive structure of Contemporary pottery in Europe through citing some of the school of arts starting with realism and ending with brutalism. The third inquiry tackles in general the theme of pottery represented in Contemporary pottery in Europe and in stating the most important European potters who practiced pottery and whose works are studied. The fourth inquiry states the nature of contemporary German pottery through reference to some of the German potters, the pioneers in particular. The third chapter is a base for the application of that base according to systematic method that makes the studied sample of the researcher of the original community in order to reveal the objective of study and analysis the formal relation of the German potters.The results were attained through the stating and studying the pottery samples to which the fourth chapter is allocated. The researcher reached to the following results : 1. The correlative relation between the art of pottery and pottery of sculpture which comes through the elements of plastic art and the primary principle as common shared unit.2. The appearance of the formatlive relation in the Contemporary Pottery Formation in Germany as tight relations through a common mechanism which used in achieving.3. The study tackles in this field the form and its significances in the Babylonian and Greek ceramic and pottery works. The study was limited to the Babylonian and Greek ceramic and pottery works of art, specifically the Babylonian ceramic and pottery of the two old periods (1595 - 2004 BC) and the Hittite period (627 - 601 BC) and the Greek ceramic and pottery in the century (1800 - 500 BC). The study includes four chapters which cover the determined objectives. Then, the significance and its reading were applied. The second includes the referential and intellectual pressures in the plastic arts of Babylonia. In chapter four the study comes up the following findings of the study which can be summarized as following : * The significance of the forms in Babylonian and Greek ceramic and pottery works are clearly reflected through the realistic forms and the organizations which represented in iconic and symbolic forms. Also, we found some unrealistic forms like the compound and abstract forms to represent some forms with significance the ceramic and pottery works. * Some significance has come with purposes of completing the level of the colorful functions on the level of Babylonian and Greek forms. * Ceramic and pottery works revealed the inspiration of natural themes and effects on pressures through which can artistic tendencies. The analysis sample analysis of ceramic and pottery works resulted in approaches in the significances.Finally, the most important conclusions of the study are tackled and based on that the researcher put some of the recommendations and suggestions. We use seven local material included sand (Arzama) ,Cawolen (Dwelka),Calcium carbonate(AL - Jabha)Bentonite and unlocal material included Sodium carbonate ,Sodium bicarbonate, feldspar soda added in different ratio after sieving and grating and chemical analysis to determined the properties and the continent of materials added to five mixture managed from references and internet adjusted according to researches s' aims.We evaluated the results and select the sample of researches from the whole models depend on researches s' aims and we made several tests on the sample s' models such as plasticity test, efflorescence salt test, porosity,absorption , density , linear shrinkage ,hardness, scratch hardness of surface,the analysis chromatic , glaze surface topography , formula units.From tests we know that the rise of clay ratio to (30% - 45% ) increasing Plasticity and produce body in a different dimension and the rise of water percentage to a specific level produce slip glaze stuck on pottery body beside using of alternative feldspar made suitable results and the rise of Fusing material ratio led to reduce porosity , absorption , density increasing and forming bound body.and the mixtures s' glaze appear so opaque in spite of ratio of (R2O3 - RO2 ) produce transparency glaze. The reason of darkness is the adding of colored oxides (RO ) group to earthenware glaze beside silica percentage (Higher than the equilibrating ) and gasses resulting from reaction. The slip stationary on pottery body depended on paste texture and body pores ability to absorb liquid and salts which work after firing to fix slip on the body , and the appearance of glaze on surface depended on self glazing of mixtures s' contents and ratio of efflorescence salt weight which reach to surface , beside the heat s' effect on surface

Abstract: The research sets to study the relation between Ceramics and Architecture.It concentrates on functioning Ceramic murals in Iraqi Contemporary Architecture, and the link between these murals and the internal and external spaces of the buildhings that make use of them.Ceramics has special artistic chara - cteristics that make it a significant entity and present it as an independent artistic genre. Because of the close symmetry of Ceramics with Architecture , many artworks have been produced that transfer Ceramics from beneficial and functional fields to the horizons of creativity and beauty and enable Ceramics to make aesthetic formative relation and produce transformations in the disciplines of shape and genres through the use of metaphor and symmetry Language among arts.This is resulted from the artists endurance to create aesthetic transformations in shape ,so categorizing has appeared between Plastic Art and Architecture since the thirties of the last century with the appearance of (Bauhaus) which seeks to integrate arts with each other and with other genres. The study deals with the functioning of Ceramic murals on inner and outer Architectural entities. The study has three chapters ,which involve covering the aim of it.The first chapter deals with the problem of the study and aims at finding out ,whether Ceramics has an effective presence in Iraqi Contemporary life ,and the extent of its applications on this level, and if there is a culter of reception and communication of this art.The chapter also includes the significance of the study, and the aim of it which tries to find out the communicative and aesthetic applications of Ceramics in Iraqi Contemporary Architecture Sections.It also states the Locative and periodical limits of the study. It presents the experimental definitions of important terms. The second chapter includes three sections ,the first one deals with the references of Iraqi Contemporary Ceramics.the effects of Mesoptamia civilization , Islamic Arts and world Art on Ceramic productions.The second section deals with "Ceramics " from Modernism till Contemporariness, and the periods that pass over the total plastic Arts and the changes that Modernism and PostModernism have made in form and content and the installation of shapes and the effect of that on world Ceramics generally , and Arabic & Iraqi Ceramics , specifically. While the third section deals with "Ceramics" in Iraqi Contemporary Architecture , initially from pioneering in Ceramics and the most well - known Ceramics with their stayles and artworks and the functioning of Ceramics in Iraqi contemporary Architecture sections, then the Ceramic murals with their applications on buildings walls and Public squares Regarding Architectural interior, the section deals with the works that made by one artist ,and various cooperative works of many artists.The Ceramic murals have varied in technique ,raw material ,genre , and them & concept. They all unified in the Ceramics inspiration from folklore , Mesopotamia civilization , Islamic Art and the effects of European Art on group of Ceramic murals. The third chapter includes the results and conclusions : I - Achieving architectural environment that has the ability to inspire from Mesopotamian heritage and functions it in murals aesthetically with the addition of modernism forms in Iraq Architecture. 2 - suggestion of functioning of Arabic letter which is considered as a type of refreshing memory towards lettering formation in Islamic arts which has its effect on Iraqi artistic taste on the level of communication.3 - Mesopotamion heritage with its shapes, abstract and symbols has its presence in ceramics shapes which parallel with the materials that Iraqi Architecture has used. As a result it has a kind of symmetry on the level if row materials and reproduction of them.
