Abstract: This study is entitled " Surat Mariam : A Linguistic study". It has come as a result for what we have taken in our courses of linguistic approaches that covered up structuralism, TGG and syllogistics. Though these approaches \..4.... '.!·"~ a European : ..... ~..... s~i<l>"',they were by origin related to Arab heritag~ in general and to Abu Othman b'i,., Geni, the pioneer of linguistic studies in Arabic, in particular. These approaches help u.i;, to study literary texts on four levels - photentic., morphological, syntactical and Semantic - The study includes four chapters. The First is an introduction. It tackles the reason behind having " Mariam'' as a title for a complete ''Surat" in the Holy Quran it also deals with its prologue focusing the number of verses it incorporates in proportion to all verses in the Holy scripture.The second chapter tackles the phonemic impact on : ( 1) the Quranic ethythm, (2) the conveyance of meaning through the repetition of a letter, a word or a phrase, (3) the intonation of single words in relation to other words in context.Also, it highlights the significance of verse endings not only for meaning but very ' Surat'. The chapter finds out a relationship between words in their verbal forms and their meanings Chapter Three incorporates three sections. The first stresses themorphological structures of the Quranic vocabulary and their impact on differences in meaning...The second handles the semantic differences among lexicons focusing 'synonyms' as a case - study. It finds out1the Quran employs its lexions semantically in a miraculous way. The third section studies what is termed as " foreign lexicons" in the Quran. It concludes that the foreign in the Quran is what is alien to the features of Arabic language.Chapter Four deals with the relationship of syntax to semantics. It seeks account for all variations in word order, repetition or ellipsis or the use or non - use of definite or indefinite articles etc.... The chapter also attempts to elaborate on the use of'statements' in relation to the repetition of the letter 'Waw' (i.e, 'and'). It also emphasizes the significance of "brevity", circumlocution and agreement as features that go beyond stylisticsand medicine.

Abstract: The Quranic text is characterized by its brilliant composition and precise choice of words. It has its own manner by which it challenges what the Arabs were exellent in. Since then up to now, the Quranic style has been for a considerable study and meditation when the jurist, these jurisprudent, and the linguist have tend tn irrigate themselves from its sweetness in an attempt to contemplate 011 the distingnishcd connotations of its various manner. The linguists have been reflecting on the iilimitability and rhetoric nature of Holy Quran through using accurate vocabulary items or excellent formation of its installation in an endeavour to justify the intended significance of these marvelous points in spite of their efforts to get the semantic purpose but there was barely an uuanimous concept to happen among the schlars of the Qunrnic text not to reach to an access of the peremptory Quranic text and the real secrets behind using certain structure rather than the other or select an item instead of the other, so this study is bascdon the views of the former semantic meanings of the items and tl1eir occurrence in the context attempting to offer an opinion or to render an idea concerning the the idea of the Quranic Rhetoric through chosing a procedure based on semantic differentiation rising from thevarious Quranic style in a certain context rather than the other considering all Iinguistiv tendencies beginning from Al - Sufy to Al - Mu'jamy and this what distinguish this study from the previous ones. It comprises four sections : section one deals with the semantic discriminativity on the phonetic level through two ways; the first studies sound inside the item structure and the other investigates the comma differences because of its different places.In section two, studies the semantic differences on the level of Morphology through studying the aspect and its divergences such as replacement, suffires, elision, and the study of masculine and feminine forms. Abstract: he research is a critical study of "Urban Love Poetry in the Ommaiyd ge among Modem Scholars". It is a study of a general human subject ecific to a certain age, i.e. "Ommaiyd Age".It studies a special manner of love poetry, "Urban Love Poetry". It s determined by a spatial determinant which is the poets of Mecca and edineh.The poets include Omar lbn Abi Rabei'a, Al'rjee, Al Ahuas, and Al Harith Al Makhzumi. Although Omar has been studied a great deal ; the other poets have been studied in a very limited way. Most of these studies focused on the social, historical and political sides. Few or them tackled the artistic side, namely the critical one.Departing from this nation, the research plan includes an introduction, a preface, three chapters, conclusion, bibliography, and an abstract in English.The introduction first contains a theoretical entry to the Urban Love Poetry. It second studies the manners of Love Poetry in the. Ommaiyed Age : the virgin love poetry, the Urban Love Poetry, and the · traditional one. In the conclusion, the research uncovered that most of the opinions of critics have been inaccurate and slightly subjective. Besides, the view of the modem scholars of love poetry and its kinds need to be revised critically. The research uncovers that much of Omar Ibn Abi Rabei'a, Al'rjee, Al Ahuas', and Al Harith's poetry totally hold a mild meaning of love poetry that is to some extent of the extremely eccentric and the extremely obscene. Abstract: / the text in terms of meaning and intention which used to be the text represents an essetial and most important core for modern and post - modem studies and the theories of the new critical scene. It has become a fertile field of knowledge in which critics and linguists indulged. Thus several and different theories and theses emerged, each tackling 'text' in view of its own principles , methodological and epistimological procedures, such as the russian Formalism, Neo - Criticisim, Structuralism, ~ermutics,andTextualism ,etc..These critical theories have produced different and contradictory v1s10ns of 'text' that intersects with the old vision both in its methodological and epistimological field. With the new critical visions, a bouycot has been established between the text and the writer, who used to dominate ultimate concern of critics and scholars. This bouycot eventually led to the announcement of"the writer's death".After this death of the writer, the text began to be associated with the reader, according to the 'Reader Response theory' which inserested itself in the reader and his/her reading and response.The idea of the present research started with my reading of the Lebanese writer Ali Harb's writinigs which, I believe, include an epistimological and methodological approach of the 'text' and its reading that deserves to be chosen for study. When I told my supervisor, I found that he agrees with me in his assessment of the topic's theoretical and epistimological richness embodded in the introduction of of a comprehensive and integrated textual vision enriched by a reading vision that goes along with it in addition torevealing the bases and epistimological principles out of which this vision came and flourished.The philosophical ahievement of post - modernism has become an important source from which this vision took a lot.Furthermore, this vision is an investable and applicable critical approach that can be adopted in text reading.Besides, this topic is a novel one that has not yet been studied before.The first chapter of the thesis falls into three sections. The first one deals with the etmology of the term 'text', covering its linguistic meaning, multiple meanings,and its metaphorical meanings. The second section tackles the concept of 'text' in scholastic circles and its integration into the other intermingled and overlapping concepts and its fluctuation from one specific scholar to another. Section three touches upon the definition of the term, revealing the difficuty faced in this task due to the differences among schools that used the term.Chapter Two deals with the term 'text' in Ali Harb's critical discource.It falls into three sections,too. The first tackles the the theme of textual identity; the structure of the text can be said to have two aspects : the phonological and the reading aspects. The section tries to show the characteristics of both. Section Two studies the text features; it tries to clarify each to open the way to Section Three which is devoted to study the concept of 'text' in Ali Harb's critical discourse.The third chapter studies the types of text and the bases for their differences due to which they are classified into types, showing the features of each text type. ··Chapter Four falls into two sections. The first deals with the critical possiblities for the reader and the possibilty of multi - readings for the same person of the same text. Section Two tacles the the reading of the text showing its nature, requirements, characteristics, and purposes.It, also, tackles the types of readings clarifying the epistimological vision that makes a specific treatment of a text determined by the text type. The chapter concludes with an account of Ali Khattab's reading approach which he uses in his critical endeavours.Lastly, the results of the study are introdused.

It is easy to understand the first one but it is difficult to attribute the second one.The way of the quotation and the implementation , Al Emam uses , shows his great ability in memorizing and the good handling of analyzing the texts.The thesis is divided into two parts : The first is entitled as " The quotation in Nahjul Balaga " and the second is " implementation in Nahjul Balaga ". Each one has three chapters The first chapter is allotted to show the kinds of both the quotations and mplementations. The second chapters sheds lights on their functions. During his search for sources about the different times of the Andulsian era , the researcher found out great interest in those aspects of life that recalled painful sad memories of grief and distress. As examples of such studies , we may notice : Sari Mohammad Al - Samadi "Sadness in the Andulsian Poetry in the Fifth Hijri century " M.A. Thesis , Yarmuk University , Jordan , 1990 ; Baseem Abd Al - Adheem Abd Al - Qadir " Poetry of Captivity and lmprisonment in Andulsia " Ph. D. Dissertation , Ein Shams University ,1994 ; Abd Al - Lateef Mahmood Majeed " war poetry in Andulsia From Conquer to Collapse of the Khilafa " M, A. Thesis , Mustansiriya University , 1987 ; Fawaz Ahmed Muhammad Al - Taei " lmage of the Foreign Enemy in the Andulsian Poetry in the Fifth Hijri Century " M.A. Thesis , Mosul University , 2002 ; Ibraheem Abd Wehayib " Poetry of Calamity in Andulsia From Establishment of Al - Muwahadeen State till Collapse of Bani Al - Ahmar State " M.A. Thesis , lmam Muhammad Bin Sauood lslamic University , 1984. There were also the studies of different types of elegy that also evoked sadness. The researcher had not found a study or a research either directly or indirectly that tackled feelings of joy , delight or happiness or that described the Andulsians as happy , glad and optimistic people living in a peaceful beautiful place that gave them satisfaction and entertainment. As a result , the researcher attempted , in this study , to investigate the reasons behind the smile , happiness , delight and gaiety of the Andulsisns by studying the different aspects of their life that their poets depicted. The aim was to study the features of delight in the Andulsian poetry from the conquer till end of Al - Tawaif (cults) era. This period was selected for study because of the very little disturbance that eccurred during it. The study made use of many sources of language , literatare , history , psychology and religion in addition to biographies and it included an lntroduction , five chapters , conclusions , bibliograghy and abstract in Arabic. ln the introduction , the linguistic and semantic meanings of delight and its synonymes were highlighted. Chapter one describes nature as the purest and most inspirong factor of motivation for poets. The Andulsian poets chanted for nature and , in turn , it presented to them happiness , pleasure , gaiety and ecstasy. That was reflected in the way they brightly coloured their images and meanings with delight and call for entertainment and happiness. Chaptr two showed how the Andulsian poets admired the charming , tender and beautiful Andulsian woman who created smile , enjoyment , hope and radiance and who was the real motivator of delight and happiness that every Andulsian was looking for. Chaptr three reviewed delight in the parties of the Andulsian Artists where we could notice different activities of literature , singing or drinking. Those parties documented the cultural , social and psychological aspects of the Andulsan society and the way the Andulsian people used to entertain themselves. The Andulsian people were relaxed and gentle with the smile always covering their faces with gaiety , humour and happiness. Chapter four studied delight in both religous and secular occassions and celebrations of the Andulsians and shed light on the inherited habits and customes that they adopted to delight them. There were those poets who were keen to establish and deepen these traditions in the Andulsian heritage. Some periods in history were brihgt and full of happiness and tranquility that all people looked for to enjoy and refine the soul. Chapter five identified the prominent artistic characteristics of poetry of delight in Andulsian as far as language , style , imagery and music were concerred. As for language and style , the researcher picked out the words that expressed delight and discussed some linguistic styles the poets used to express delight. As for imagery , the researcher referred to the different models (same of them were new) that the Andulsian poets used to show delight. ln the artistic musical side. the researcher noticed that poetry of delight had music of very high taste which reflected the state of the poet within the very atmospheres that motivated delight , tranquility and psychological relax. Finally , study of delight in Andulsian poetry was determined by the condition of the poet which was an outcome of the events. Thus , it was not out of the motivators of happiness and gaiety to attain hope. Man is a group of feelings of both happiness and sadness and happiness is the origin because it is the closest to the innate psyche of the human.

Abstract: The Semantic subject can be consider as one of the most important subjects in linguistics. With it, grammar earns value. Ibn Husham is one of the famous linguistics. According to Ibn Husham, semantic was a clear and wide subject and it is one of those subjects that I liked a lot during my preliminary studying period. I consulted the specialist and discussed it with my supervisor who encouraged me so I decided and trusted in God to go ahead with this subject. The research comes with three chapters proceeded by a preface and followed by a conclusion. In preface, I meant with the semantic thinking and I simply pointed to the life of Ibn Husham Al - Ansary and then mentioned something about the Arab heritage. Then I discussed the semantic studies of Ibn Husham that can't be inserted in the chapters that followed the preface. The first chapter was of three studies proceeded by foreword that dealt with his criticism spirit, his style and how widely he was in criticism. I specialized the first study to the explainers' criticism, the second to the grammarians' and the third to the jurists'. The second chapter was about semantic interpretation of Ibn Husham and it was - like the first chapter - of three studies. The first study was meant with the inclusion, the second with the deletion and the third with reverse morphology. The third chapter was about the semantic guidance. In the preface of this chapter, I mentioned something about the meaning of the expression in language and terminology and also mentioned something about the its benefit. In the first study - of the third chapter - I specialized it to the guidance of what has a relation to the expression. The second study to the guidance of what doesn't have a relation to expression in which I discussed the resumption and links. After I have finished the the three chapters, I concluded the research with the conclusion that I have got through my inspection and looking for. Then - after the conclusion - I have written down the sources and the references that I used to complete the research. At the end, I have to say that this research is a humanitarian effort done by the researcher with scientific and material potentials that he has got. We depended on some references and the opinion of some authorities and the way these terms are employed by modern writers. Besides, the Quraanic usage is also adopted. So, this study, to our knowledge, is the first study specialized in the critical effort of saeed AL - Ghanimy. We have found that his critical outcomes are classified according to three domains : Theoretical and practical criticism of poetical texts,Theoretical and practical criticism of arrative texts,and general criticisms.so, it was necessary to form the plan of the study according to these three domains.so, the study falls into three chapters preceded by an introduction then a preamble and coneluded by the final resnlts. It is clarified in the following The preamble which is classified accoreding to three points : The autobiography of saeed AL - Ghanimy,his culture components, and his works list. Chapter one : Reading poetry in saeed AL - Ghanimy criticism it deals with AL - Ghanimy's reading of the poetical texts in both the theoretical and the practical levels. Abstract: Andalusian Literature represented a shining page in the History of the Arab Literature for its creativity and enrichment of the literature; and the Poetry of Banu - al - Ahmer was only one part of that literature for its real enrichment.As the Age of Banu - al - Ahmer was the last of the Andalusian literary age,I decided to study an artistic angle no researcher has ever tackled ,i.,e., (The Arts of Rhetoric of the Andalusian Poetry - Banu - al - Ahmer as a sample).This does not mean that there were no such studies that proceded this one. There were many studies in the field that tackled the poetry of the Age, which we referred to i9n the Introduction of the research. I decided to make my study to the poetry of this age in following way : a forward and three chapters precede by an introduction, followed by a conclusion and results. The forward is a kind of entry to the study, which came into two subjects : the first is a bird's eye - view about rhetoric and our point of view and the other is a general view about the Poetry of Banu - al - Ahmer.In Chapter One we study (the Musical Arts) represented by : alliteration, studding, reversing the first part of the line with the second, all types of repetition, division, recreation, reverse and replacement and "the necessity of what is not possible".Chapter Two deals with (The Arts of Playing) - these arts are given this name "playing" ,as we mentioned and explained in the Introduction - we gave it a short definition - represented by puns and emphasizing praise to resemble slander, and good reasoning an ignoring the knower.In Chapter Three we studied the (Moral Arts) ,which include : counterpoint, synonymy, peer account, citation, embedding and exaggeration. There is a point I would like to draw attention to ,viz., the inequality in their dealing with the arts of rhetoric and ours in talking about them. The conclusion illustrated the most important resulted the researcher got to followed by the resources we made use of in competing our research. I traced, in my study, the poetry of the Age from the books and poetry books I could get and from the books that studied the poets along with their poetry.Finally, this humble effort is nothing but a fruit of continuous hard work.For what suffices is that I did my best ; so if I made something good ,then thank Allah. Abstract: The current study addresses the cultural norms in the Iraqi prose poem, as it represents a trial to detect the control and prevalence of such norms in the discourse of the poem. The study also reveals the directions of norms domination in the message of the prose poems, as well as the detection of the revival of old cultural norms in new verses. The current study takes the Iraqi prose poem as field of researching as the latter represents a phenomenon that apply the same conditions of cultural criticism and norm requirements. The prose poem indeed is a puzzling and encrypted production having the potential of cultural mystification around it. The study is made of three chapters, introduction, and a conclusion, followed by a list of references and bibliography, with an abstract and a table of contents. The first chapter is entitled "The Prose Poem and Cultural Norms" which starts with introduction of two sections; the first of which is entitled "Norms (emergence, concept, and interference)", while the second section is entitled "Norms between Breach and Revival". The last section carries two directions; the first of which is "Prose Poem and Breach of Norms", and the second is "Prose Poem and Revival of Norms". This section represents theorization about the norms, their emergence, interference with culture, then their domination, and prevalence in the prose poem examined to detect its breach of cultural norms, with applied texts of that breach, then the way of norms revival thereto, the way of getting norms back into original forms, and the untold in their discourse. The second chapter is entitled "Poem of Centre and Cultural Norms" which is made of an introduction and three sections. The first of which is "Prose Poem and Domination Norm" while the second section is "Prose Poem and the Norm of Abuse" formed of two directions; the first direction is "Abuse of Others/ The Black", and the second direction is "Abuse of Others/ The Woman". Then comes the third section, which is "Prose Poem and the Norm of estrangement". The last chapter includes applied texts concerning the issue of cultural norm and its revival in the discourse of prose poem. This chapter revealed some inherited and normal ideas like (Masculinity / Class) and Death haunted the Iraqi individual. Therefore, the poetic verses come to sustain such ideas and reinforce them with the idea of old norms revival with new aesthetics.The chapter also make clear the modality of the return of center and margin in the poem texts claiming the margins equity, in time other centers are created in conflict with new margins. The third chapter is entitled "Margin Poem and Cultural Norms" also formed of an introduction and two sections; the first of which is "Kurdish Prose Poem, which in turn consists of two directions (The first is Prose Poem and Ego Norm, and the second is Prose Poem and Revenge Norm), while the second section is entitled "Femininity Prose Poem". The second section carries three directions. These directions are "Prose Poem and Subordination Norm", "Prose Poem and Centrism Norm", and "Prose Poem and Violence Norm". This chapter is also an applied one as well, as the researcher employs poetic verses implying the cultural norm, with the potentiality of cultural interpretation, encrypted texts, showing Revolutionary characteristics, implying the norm or appeasement. Thus, the chapter shows the creation of cultural norms and their inheritance in various people classes, whether centered in culture or Marginalized. As shown above, the study revealed the control of cultural norms over our discourses, their effect our vision of life, and communication with others. Later, the poem is seen to have created a new center parallelized to the center of old texts. Therefore, the Iraqi accomplishment of prose poem may have potential reactionary roots and dictatorship, as well as having the possibility of revolutionary origins and progressiveness. Hence appears the effect of cultural norm, which gets deeply rooted as more as it is thought to be retroactive or impairment. That's what is revealed through the course of this study, and tried to be shown in this thesis.

Abstract: Quranic Readings are considered of holy rank as it illustrates how to perform the pronunciation of Quranics wordings which convey the meaning of the divine message in order to deliver it to the people so they will have no plea against Allah after the Messengers. This thesis (Readings of Ahl Albait, The Infallible, Semantics Study) contributes towards the investigation and research process of the reading that represents an extension to the reading of the prophet pbuhap in performance and manner to become effective factors in delivering the divine message successfully.To meet this target, this thesis adopted the following methodInductive method; this will be through inducing the wording that the infallible Ahl Albeit used in their reading. Then working on objectively classifying this wording based on the semantics of the pronunciation that was delivered. This thesis is studied from three aspectsFirstly : the theoretical side. This is will be via the explanation of the infallible’s character and his reading features. In addition, what this thesis has revealed about the unique nature of this reading that segregate it from all other public readings; that is its focus on the illustration side in reading, and in particular, the illustration at the ideological level which represents the essence of religion and the divine message.Secondly : researching derivative and spiritual approaches of the references of the reading, considering the first lexical, reading, as a reference to explain the wording, and the second lexical as a reference to explain jurisprudential rule. All that by leveraging of : the common points and the joint connector which refers to the linguistic lexical. That is in addition to, the effort of the researcher to establish a “Semantics approach” between the reading, as a performance, and the Quran, as the theater of this performance. This thesis revealed the meeting of the pronunciation, lexical, reading and Quran on a common Indication that links them all to the deriving’s origin from that tripartite term.Thirdly : The analytical side. Wordings that Ahl Albait expressed its readings will be analysed and classified into two indicative levels, the morphological level and the grammarian level. This paper will not deal with pronunciation and lexical semantics due to the fact that Ahl Albait reading is not preoccupied with sound resources like “Alemala”, “Alaalal” or substitution or any other audio study resources. The focus of Ahl Albait is directed towards the explanation of the meaning and enlightening the receiver with guidance that Quran has come with. Their reading has not bothered with pronunciation performance but made pronunciation as mean of contact and communications between spokesperson and the receivers. As of the lexical level, their reading did not come up with wordings that are sufficient to establish a chapter on this subject. However, it may be noticed that this subject is slightly referred to in the study of morphological and grammarian levels.This paper has been presented in an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion as per the following : The Introduction, where the reason behind selecting this subject is explained. As well as highlighting the importance of the subject and its intended goals. Then winding up with a plan of study of this paper.Chapter one, is a research study on the characteristics of Ahl Albait reading at the reader’s level and at reading materials’ level. Adding a research study to explain the relation between the lexical material, the reading and Quran due to their common lexical and semantics material. This chapter is wind up with a semantic approach between Quran and the narrations to illustrate the explanatory reading.Chapter two : presents a research study on the morphological level in Ahl Albait reading within three aspects. The first is on the morphological level and its relation with the explanatory reading. The second on conjugation morphology in Ahl Albait’s (pbut) reading. The third on the derivative morphology in their reading (pbut).Chapter three : a research study on grammarian level of the reading of ahl Albair (pbut). This chapter contains foreword and two case studies. The first case study addresses (increase and decrease) in ahl Albait’s reading and its effect on the structural indication. In terms of Arabic critical methodologies , they represented the central crystal with which the discourse was concerned. It is indeed a methodological discourse based on methodical bases as specified by Modern Western methodologies , taking in consideration cultural Arabic particularity. The most important outcome of this research is the confirmation that The Modern Arabic Critical Discourse compared with Al NAQA'ID was coinciding with critical shifts that touched the modern Arabic discourse structure in general and they furthermore approved the dominance of thematic sides in the heritage text at the expense of artistic ones. Moreover , they manifested the strong presence of the historical and social methodology with a relative absence of the psychological one in terms of themes. Concerning artistic sides , the researcher noticed the intensive care that Arabic critics and scholars lavished so as to disclose the recognized artistic structure of Al NAQA'ID text through their works of disclosing the linguistic nature therein and the denotation of metaphor element in its structure. I also disclosed their endeavors in studying the rhythmical level , poetic imagery , as well as the critics ' interest in studying the involvement of the thematic phenomena such as Irony phenomenon , meaning exploration , expatriation , cultural involvement. Moreover , involving artistic phenomena such as bi - antagonism , argumentation and repetition. Furthermore , The research showed the critics ' agreement over the emptiness of such art from organic unity which was replaced by line unity on the poets part thereof equal to the heritage texts in Old Arabic Poetry.

Abstract: Ahmed Matar is known for his own peculiar style, in particular his Lafitat, i.e. ‘Banners’, that has made him a well - known poet in the Arab world filled with anger against their political systems and governments. His poems are characterized by a sarcastic style. Therefore, some like to call him ‘the king of poets’. His poems have studies from different perspectives by a number of researchers. While some researchers, such Ahmed Ghuneim who has dealt with the elements of creation in his poetry and Abulkareem Al - Saeedi who has focused on the poetic narration in his poetry, some others, such as Khalid Jaffal Lafta and Tahsin Hasan Jasim have studied the stylistic aspects of his poetry concentrated and the techniques of the poetic formation in his poetry respectively. However, none of them has spell out the rhythm in his poetry. After having consulted my supervisor, I have come up with this title : THE RHYTHMIC STRUCTURE IN AHMED MATER’S POETRY This study adopts two approaches, viz. historical and descriptive; it is divided into three main chapters preceded by a foreword and an introduction and followed by a conclusion. Chapter one which is titled ‘The Structure of the Prosodic Rhythm’ spells out the poetic meters along with their contexts and the types of rhymes in Ahmed Matar’s poems.Chapter two, for its turn, which is titled ‘The Structure of the Phonic Rhythm’ confines itself to different types of rhyme, such as that of lexical items, lines, texts, rhyme.As for the third chapter titled ‘The Structure of Musical Rhythm’, it focuses on the most important factors that contribute to enriching his poems’ rhythm, such as repetition, foregrounding, back grounding, paronomasia, antithesis, and so forth.The rhythmic structure in Ahmed Mater’s poetry has been studied by means of identifying the most important elements of such a structure and the main factors that influences and enriches the rhythm in Ahmed Mater’s full collocations of poems. Having carefully examined the poems, I have discovered that the Ramal Meter is the most dominant one in his poems, followed by the Rajis Meter, and then the rest of meters.In his poems, the rhyme has played a significant role in enriching the rhythmic structure of his text. The study shows that the poet, Ahmed Matar, banking on his linguistic and stylistic ability, has utilized a great number of stylistic features, such as repetition, foregrounding, back grounding, paronomasia, antithesis, and the like in an attempt to add artistic touches to his poems. To sum up, this study has focused on one of the most famous poets in the Arab world filled with anger against their political systems and governments. I hope that this study could provide the reader with an explanation to the most important elements of the rhythmic structure utilized successfully by the poet.

Abstract: Science of sounds is regarded as one of those sciences that the study of which is significantly developed after is witnessed a long period of stagnation. This science has become to represent the developed manifestation of Modern Linguistics more than any other branch thereof. This development is reflected through it various methodologies of research, different devices and advanced equipment's that assisted in the field of linguistic sounds. Orientalist's endeavors have been directed to study Arabic language at all phonetic, morphological, grammatical and denotative levels. Using Arabic language by orientalists as a means to understand the Hebrew of Torah in the 16th century and the beginning of 17th century helped to elevate Arabic language to move ahead. In the 17th and 18th centuries, European Linguists were concerned with the language international structure hierarchically and this in fact influenced their orientations to study Arabic and some other Semitic languages such as Hebrew. They focused on the study of those two languages which belong to the ancient centuries. There was a drastic development in the field of linguistic studies in Europe in the 17th century, specifically in the field of Indo - European languages when Franz Bob made a comparison among the morphological systems of verbs in Sanskrit, Persian, Germanic and Greek languages. Accordingly ,this has made its own influence in the context of Semitic Languages Study by Orientalists especially after the discovery of many Assyrian.Aramaic and old Southern Arabic transcripts.This discovery widened the historical depth of comparison. Researchers concerned with the study of standard language by itself and they considered accents branching from the standard language as erroneous types but in the 19th century, after scientists discovered that rural accents contain the forms of structure in the standard language. Orientalists spent massive efforts to record the various accents of Arabic language. The initiative of studying Arabic sounds appeared in 19th century by some of the Western and Orientalists.Research has been widely developed in the respect alongside with the development of life and various types of science. Orientalists ,researches of Arabic sounds were brought up varied in compliance with the variation of both ,their studies on one hand and methodologies of research adopted by them in these studies on the other. Science of sounds is a branch of linguistic, and it is divided into two branches.First, Phonetics which deals with the linguistic sounds in isolation of the context. Second, Phonology which deals with sounds when forming speech sequence, phonetic rules governing such context and various linguistic phenomena such substitution , Diphthong , Al Emalah (pending) , Kl Tafkheem (Amplification ), Glotallization and other phonological issues. In the light of translated books , the research sought to introduce the methodologies adopted by Orientalists in studying the sounds of Arabic language. They involved Modern Linguistic Approaches in their study : - Historical approach - Comparative Historical Approach - Descriptive Approach - The Approach of linguistic Geography which is regarded as one of the applied linguistic approaches. The researcher noticed that Orientalists disagree over the number of the places of articulation.Brokelman arranged them into five places of articulations while Kanito did so into nine ones, flish in six ones.Billa , into eleven ones and he joined the features with the articulations. Moskati did so into seven places of articulation. Furthermore, Orientalists disagree over the arrangement of some places of sounds articulation that some of the arrange such places of articulation initially while others delay them compared to that arrangement adopted by Arabs such as(? ), and (?).Some Orientalists state that these articulations of( Arabic Kaf), that is , they are velar but others regard them as being pharyngeal articulated from(?) , and (?). Moreover, Orientalists disagree over the description of some places of articulation such as the articulation of (Arabic lam sound) that some of them regarded it as being lingual.Others regarded it as a palatal sound , others regarded it side - dental. Orientalists conducted deep researchers to study the sounds of Arabic Language and they read the books of early grammarians and the books of readings. They promoted wide range research concerning phonetic phenomena. Despite their being significantly accurate in describing the phonetic phenomenon, yet they wouldn't pay enough attention to some phenomena that they didn't explain thereof clearly enough nor they analyze such phenomenon sufficiently such as Emalat (bending) of (Ha'a), Al waqf and glottalization phenomenon. They mentioned only specific sides of such phenomena. Some Orientalists such as Kanito and Brajbishrasar cited Quran verses during their research to substitute some of language sounds or make them diphthong. Kantino was not precise in translating some of verses or the numbers thereof. Irrespective of the reason that motivate Orientalists to study Arabic language so their studies were highly helpful and even though the phonetic research was emerged out of the works of the works of Arabic linguists long ago yet, its development is accomplished at present by Orientalists.

Abstract: Modern studies of rhetorics are interested in persuasion as one of the objectives in realistic prosodic discourse that involves displaying personal thoughts and ideas by employing certain technique to contribute to persuading the addressee of the discourse directed to him.Aristotle was the first who talked about persuasion and described in details the techniques and stages in prosodic discourse in his book ‘Oratory ’. Thus, the researcher preferred this book to be the main source and guide in our study of the techniques of persuasion in essays of Ghazi Abd Al - Rahman Al - Qusaibi, which were gathered from newspaper a journals and edited in a book.A question might be raised about the validity of studying such essays that belong to an independent genre with its own characteristics and aims. The answer is that the two genres ( essay and oratory) are similar in type. Both of them are realistic prosodic discourses and thus can be built by the same tools of persuasion. On the other hand, Aristotle began his work in this book by classifying oratory into three types : argumentative, consultative and proving. He assigned specific characteristics for each type as we will mention in details later. The researcher found an artistic and objective similarity between consultative oratory and essay specially in the aims behind using them.Additionally, Greek oratory at that time, in addition to drama, was a well - known and common tool of communication with people to convey thoughts, ideas, suggestions, and reforms. With time, techniques of communication developed and the press emerged and thus essay becomes one of the genres that can achieve the same aim intended by oratory. Furthermore, topics and subjects of ancient and modern Arabic and western rhetorics were influenced by the Greek rhetorics and ideas of Aristotle. Those subjects and ideas were not assigned to be conveyed in a certain specific genre. Rather, they were conveyed both as prose or poetry and not in a specific genre. All the reasons mentioned above led us to study rhetorics of persuasion and the techniques it utilizes in essay writing in light of the techniques that were set as bases for oratory.Our main source in this study is Aristotle’s ‘Oratory’, translated from Greek and introduced by Dr. Abd Al - Rahman Badawi and published by the House of Public Cultural Affairs in the Journal of Afaq Arabbia, Baghdad, **edition.The researcher adhered to Aristotlian principles in persuasion. Accordingly, the study is divided into an introduction and three chapters. The introduction highlights three points. The first point is abaut rhelorics in language and terminology and its status and development for the Greeks and its relation to persuation. The secand is persuasion in language and terminology, persuasion in verbal communication, introducing the idea of persuasion by Aristotle and stages and participants of persuasion. The third point tackles the essay and its types.Chapter one ‘ Source of the Proofs’ starts with preliminaries in which we show what it is meant by the source of the proofs and Aristotle’s opinion of them. The chapter includes three sections; a section for each source. The first section is about the speaker ( the orator) and his impact on persuasion and his scientificity and ethics that help him achieve persuasion. Section two sheds light on the speech of the orator and what participants and proofs it should contain to contribute to achieving persuasion. Section three talks about the listener (the addressee) and what should be the effect on him so as to persuade him of what is said.Chapter two ‘ The Style’ starts with a long section of preliminaries because of the much details about Aristotle’s style. The chapter includes three sections. Section one is about the linguistic style that contribute to achieving persuasion whereas section two is about the rhetorical styles as represented in the rhetorical images. Section three tackles the other styles including those mentioned by Aristotle i.e. narration, saracism and rhyme as techniques that support towards persuasion.In the preliminaries of chapter three ‘Sequence of the Discours’, the researcher talks about the parts of speech of Aristotle and the method that should be followed to classify them. In section one of the chapter, the researcher discusses the introduction and its types in essays of Ghazi Al - Qusaibi : section two discusses the intext and section three is about the conclusions.The Study arrived at some conclusions concerning the most important techniques that Ghazi Al - Qusaibi used to persuade his readers about the thoughts, ideas that he wrote to them and that might developed the society culturally, politically, and economically. Definitely, the researcher faced some difficulties; the most complicated of them is that the text of the book of oratory itself is translated and not the origin. The style is sophisticated and some of the expressions are ambigious; its terms are different from those known in books of Arabic rhetorics and in modern rhetorical studies. This difference can be obviously seen in the illustrative examples put by Aristotle for every term. The expressions were very abbreviated and shortened especially those when Aristotle talked about ethics of the speaker and how they could be reflected in his speech. Abstract: The cultural references in the poetry of the Iraqi poet "Adeeb Kamaladeen" has formed a significant presence through their abundant frequency. Such references are various in their frequency and difficult in their source. Some of them have had obvious presence while the others are less frequent in his poetic texts. The diversity of cultural references have made the research consisted of four chapters based on six references, Quranic reference is one of them that featured by the most prominent presence in the experience of "Kamaladeen". Such experience has varied in its role into two kinds. One of them has inspired its presence from Quranic story, while the other has derived it from Quranic verse. The second reference is the mystic one, by which the poet has derived the mystic heritage from mystic conditions and stages. He has also employed the prominent figures, such as "Annefery, Alhallaj, and Altawheedi" in his poetry. Whereas the other references are historic and mythological ones which have been included in one chapter, because they are less frequent than the previous two references. Regarding the historic reference, the poet has manipulated "Karbala incident" and "Imam Hussain", who is the the most important person in that incident, Iraq¬¬ - Iran war in 1980 and other wars, which followed. In connection with the mythological reference, the poet has employed several myths, one of them is "Gilgamish myth" which has formed a striking presence in "Kamaladeen's poetry" In addition, the poet has used the artistic and literary reference, that has been combined in one chapter, through which the poet has employed the most famous Iraqi and Arabic singers. He has also used Iraqi and Arabic poets and novelists, as well as foreigners through the literary reference. Hence, all these references have signified variety of the poet's education and his continuous acquaintance with multiculturalism that has consequently served his poetic experience.

Abstract: This research studies modernism of Abu Tammam on the basis of the theory of classical Arabic criticism which consisted of rules and conditions put by the Arab critics and applied by the poets to make their poetry eloquent and solid with clear and vivid meanings.But Abu Tammam was keen to deviate from all these rules and principles in his poetry. Al - Amidi considered him as a rebel against the common foot of poetry because he played on words in his poems and became fond of rhetorics and figures of speech which he used extremely. Consequently,his poetry was corrupted by the heavy use of antithesis and paronomasia. Thus, he became the target of a strong movement of criticism that represented the conflict between the old and the new.Classical Arabic poetry was a summary of the experiences of the old poets. It directly expressed the social, cultural and intellectual aspects of their life. It was characterized by features of clarity of expression, agility and simplicity of language because it was natural and not superfacial. That was the case in the Arab poetry during the pre - Islamic time, beginning of lslam and the Ummaid era in addition to the majority of the poetry of the Abbasid era during which the way of living of the Arabs changed from nomadism to urbanism. Thus, there appeared a type of new Arab poets who had special knowledge and high education like Bashar Bin Burd, Muslim Bin Al - waleed and the most prominent of them was Abu Tammam.Modernism of Abu Tammam went far beyond the familiar in his illogical and unreasonable similies and metaphors. There was no appropriateness in his metaphor and no approximation in his similies. Besides, he played on words and used too much antithsis and paronomasia. He was good in some of them but not so in the others. That caused the Arab critics to attack him and refused his poetry which they said it deviated from the common foot of the Arabic poetry that was defined by Al - Marzooqi to have seven categories. any studies of criticism were conducted about Abu Tammam and his poetic school. This study is made up of an introduction,three chapters and conclusions. Chapters one and two consist of three sections each. Chapter three contains two sections.The introduction highlights modernism of poetry as viewed by the classical Arabic criticism both literally and as a term. It also reviews the concept of modernism since its appearance till the time of Abu Tammam. Chapter one is interested in the questions of imitation and nnovationin that Arabic criticism. Section one of the chapter shows the attitude of the linguists and narrators of the modern poetry, the position of khalef AL - Ahmar and his experience in criticism and the position of the critics of the classical poetry which they considered as the highest model that Arab poets should imitate and create in their poetry as a product of the individual liking. Section two is devoted to discuss modernism in relation to the theory of the foot of poetry that was represented in the seven categories as introduced by ALMarzooqi in the introduction of his book Commentary on Diwan of Ardor of Abu Tammam. The section also explains the principles of the poetic imagery in similie and metaphor and the role of poetic imagination to bring about new images and novel meanings that reflect beauty and psychological effect.Section one of chapter two discusses modernism in the poetry of Abu Tammam and the rules of the poetic language in the theory of Arabic criticism. The section also shows what was accepted and what was not in his language. The section shows how Abu Tammam, very heavily, used the rhetorical patterns especially antithesis and paronomasia where he was unsuccessful in some of them and good in others. Section three tackles the poetic meaning and the logical and mental characteristics that should be available in these meanings to be correct so that the poetry be undertood. This was agreed upon by the old Arab critics such as Qudama Bin Jaafar, Abi Helal Al - Askari, Abd Al - Qadir Al - Jirjani, Hazim Al - Qirtajinni and others. The section includes description of the meanings and their relation to the levels of description as far as exaggeration and excessiveness are concerned in that Qudama Bin Jaafar considered excessiveness as the best of the two schools of description.Finally, the section discusses ambiguity and complexity as products of corrupted poetic composition. Chapter three deals with modernism in the rhetorical image, modernism and the changes modern poets add to poetry in this concern. Modern poets paid more attertion to the form rather than to the meaning in their poetry. That led to the appearance of a new poem with specific features particulavly concerning the rhetorical image that depended on similie and metaphor. The poets started using these styles in new ways that were unfamiliar to the Arabic liking and taste. The first section of this chapter deals with similie and description and the rules put by the Arab critics to achieve approximation between the two sides of the similie; otherwise the similie would be exotic and not allowed. It was conditioned that the description contained most of the cases being described. The section mentions some samples of the similie and description in the traditional poem which the critics considered as better in comparison to the modern similies and description that deviated from the artistic critera and the common poetic taste. Section two talked about the metaphor and its definition by the Arab critics and availability of the conditions of approximation between the metaphoric expression and what it stood for. However, modern poets, particulary Abu Tammam, did not adhere to these conditions. Thus, Some of their metaphors were controversial. The conclusion presents the results of the study; the most important of which are that the classical Arab critics had a theory of criticism reflected in the opinins they stated in their books and set by Al - Marzooqi in the 5 Hijri century in a systematic approach that was finally shaped in what was later known as the foot of poetry that included seven categories and each of these categories represented a critical measurement of a certain question in poetry.

Abstract: This study starts with a preface discussing four points : AlAamily translation, the reason behind calling his book (Tasneem), and his method in Tafsir, the meaning of Secrets according to Al - Aamily, and the meaning of expressions in linguistics and terminology. In the first chapter (the secrets of words in Koran) the researcher discussed the linguistic meaning of the word in three sections : firstly the reason behind choosing a word in particular, secondly the secret of morphological form, thirdly the secret of definiteness and indefiniteness. The second chapter (the secrets of sentence in Koran) studies the meanings of the sentence and it is of two section : the first one is the secret of declarative sentence and its processes as deletion, backward and forward, and restriction. The second section is the secrets of the construction of the sentence as the imperative, negative, interrogative, and proclamation sentences. The third chapter (the secrets of the text and Koran) discusses the meanings and linguistic structures and rhetorical themes in more than a phrase as being intervented and the text title. It is of three sections : the first one is the secret of apostrophe. The second is about conjunction and disjunction. The third is about the secret of agreement in which the researcher mentioned the meanings of agreement and holy Koran. It is of three sections : agreement among Ayat in one Surah, agreement of the title of the Surah with its contents, and the agreement of the beginning and the end of Surah. Research methodology : The researcher’s method in this study is choosing the subject followed by a general overview about it. Then mentioning the most important samples mentioned by A - Aamily in the title and discussing each one respectively after viewing the opinions of the interpreters. After that the study shows the opinion of AlAamily to see what is the new addition. Results : The researcher has ended with recognizing the meaning of the secret according to Al - Aamily in linguistics and the reason behind it. Also the researcher detected the secrets of the word, sentence, and the text and what purposes and meanings they have and connecting all these things with external facts because the interpreter sees that all of these recording words of Koran express universal facts in existence because it is an inspiration from the Almighty Allah. The researcher also tried to expose several rhetorical themes such as clarifying forms of the text like apostrophe, conjunction, and agreement among Ayat by applying the modern textual norms of sentential multiplicity, cohesion and coherence. Then identifying the notion of text and modern linguistics and applying it to rhetorical Arabic heritage.

During the twentieth century some western studies has focused light upon this theory. Thus, it is open to the different requirements of writing and rhetoric through which thoughts and beliefs are conveyed to the reader. It highlights the diverse concepts which shape the way a narrative is written. One of the most prominent concepts that is taken into consideration is The Narrative Representation and how to embody it in novels. Since it is contains the problem, similarity, visualization, conversation, impersonation and embodiment of what is present in the human mind into a narrative format. In other words, how to transform what can be imagined into live words in the form of narrative. This thesis will discuss the narrative in Alia Mamdouh’s novels and is divided into an introduction, three different chapters and an appendix. Each of the first and second chapter contains three sections while the third chapter contains two only. The introduction discusses what representation is in terms of definition and its different concepts. Then it moves on to reveal its origin starting with Plato then Aristotle and ending with the Arab philosophers such as Ibn Rushd, Ibn Sina and al - Farabi. Abstract: Undoubtedly, the texts of Alsahifah Alsajjadiyah belong to the creative texts whose features are very distinguished. They need to be discovered and stand at, researchers have raced to gain the honor of researching their structures and discovering the secrets of their rhetoric. This study (Figures of Speech in the Prayers of Alsahifah Alsajjadiyah) was a trial to gain this great honor. The study is interested in the semantics of the figures of speech in Alsahifah Alsajjadiyah by Imam Ali Bin AlHussein (Peace be upon him). This depended on the activity of the semantics of the figures of speech in the structures of its texts. Good employment of the figures of speech and the Imam's knowledge of the value of the creativity in literary texts enhanced the vitality of the figures of speech. I believe that he tried to uncover the latent expressive power of these arts that help contribute in enhancing the texts, showing their references, and highlighting their artistic features. The study consists of three chapters preceded by an introduction and a prelude and followed by the conclusion, which summed up the topic and the results, and the list of references. The prelude includes a theoretical preface about the concepts, emergence, and function. It deals with the importance of Alsahifah Alsajjadiyah and its rhetoric, a summary about the emergence of rhetoric, its development stages and its function. Chapter one deals with the (Arts of Harmony) in four sections : (antithesis, analogy, congeries), it is followed by an appendix that tackles (arts of fusion). Chapter two is about (arts of delusion). It contains three sections : (pun, feigning ignorance by the learned, resemblance). It is followed by the art of (abstraction, praising in blame like style, good justification). Chapter three deals with the arts of elaboration and summarization. It includes three sections (epanodos, plurality and division). I added an appendix that deals with the art of (Combining and differentiating, Combining with differentiation and division). I looked at each section from two perspectives : the theoretical perspective and the practical one. Then I draw the conclusion which is the gist of the topic and the results of the study.The most important thing that the study reached at is that the arts of embellishments gain an extra importance for studying them in such creative texts, because their being well employed in the texts gave them a vitality that greatly impacted the text, which met the requirements of coherence and continuity and harmony. The study has also hinted that the use of these embellishments in the text of Alsahifah Alsajjadiyah cannot be considered as rhetorical embellishments only that complete the references, but the Imam had employed them to structure his texts as an expressive and vital tool which has a great impact on the two levels of rhetoric and semantics

Abstract: This study entitled “Curricular Interference in Poetic Text Analysis Modalities - Semiotics as a model” examines one of the most controversial and problematic contemporary criticism curricula amongst modern criticism studies. Semiotics at its theoretical form is an old existing science which was emerged from the womb of knowledge theory; hence it contributed to philosophy, logic, mathematics, human and social sciences. Its critical importance lies by the fact that it stands at the border between human and social sciences; as well as its integration of the direction that accredited linguistic aspect (linguistics) and the direction of philosophical aspect that accredited the new phenomenology. The value of this critical study rises as it monitors the shifts of knowledge and intellect arguments of this approach, their transfer into the field of applied methodology, the way Arabic critical studies dealt with such shifts, the nature of receiving such mechanisms by Arab critics, and the methods of applying and representing them in Arabic poetic texts. This thesis is composed of an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. The first chapter - made of two sections - deals with the intellectual and philosophical fundamentals of semiotics, and examines their origins and approaches as presented by semiotics pioneers; American Philosopher Charles Sanders Peirce and Swiss Linguist Ferdinand de Saussure. In the first section of the chapter, we focus on the image of semiotics in ancient Greek philosophy, as well as different other philosophies followed. In addition, we examine deeply the way Arab and western critics had dealt with the nature of that image. In the second section of the first chapter, we review in details the hypotheses of Peirce’s and Saussure’s theories analyzing their philosophical and intellectual arguments; as well as explaining relevant attitudes of Arab and western critics.The first section of the second chapter examines semiotics in terms of its developed theoretical boundaries and its applied methodological image. Also, we detail the period that followed the foundation stage, and account for modern semiotics approaches that we present by the approaches of semantics, communication and culture. Then we scope the light on literature semiotics as being the theoretical and applied image of general semiotics. In the second section of this chapter, we review the mechanisms of applied semiotics, the ways of Arab and western critics’ interaction with that mechanisms, how they were put into application, and the reasons that lead to curricular interference amongst applied models. As for the third chapter, it deals with Arabic applied models as we examine the phenomenon of curricular interference within those models following the criticism - of - criticism mechanism. This poet was not paid any considerable attention concerning his verse only in scattered articles and papers. Even in modern literary works, there are little references to his art, further, these references do not contribute in showing his artistic and aesthetic writings in verse that may put him in competition with other great poets of his time. This study mainly focuses on the rhetorical perspectives in his poems in an attempt to show the deep meaning of his lexical and syntactic choices in addition to his manipulation of cadence and poetic structure as well as imagery. The current study consists of a preliminary, three chapters and a conclusion. In the preliminary, rhetorical branches are introduced and explained and how these branches are shown to have a role in exposing the poet's artistic writings. This chapter also includes the poet's biography and the themes that he addressed in his verse. Chapter one is attributed to inspecting the cadence level in his poetry. It comprises three sections. Section one is concerned with alliteration. Section two is devoted to explaining repetition and its types and effects in relation to cadence. Section three comes under the title " Other Rhetorical Aspects" that contribute to make rhythmical patterns prominent. Chapter two is essentially devoted to the structural level of his poetry. It comprises three sections. The first one, which is entitled "Recantation in Structure", deals with things such as foregrounding and back - grounding, ellipsis. This is so because the ultimate end of investigation is to follow accuracy and objectivity to reflect the poet's book or collection of poems as the poet intends.Concerning this area of investigation, a variety of researchers do their best to study old - fashioned texts. Throughout their investigations, they introduce their attempts as well as sufferings in this field. Their efforts reveal different capacities and distinctive scientific abilities. As a result of this serious work in the field, an apparent role has been observed upon the difference among their approaches of investigation although they agree on introducing texts in the correct way according to the scientific rules with a high degree of correctness and documentation. Their work follows a number of acceptable scientific and procedural bases.As a practical area of these investigations is those periodicals whose specialization is to re - exist the Arabic heritage such as the journal of Al - Mawrid. Due to the availability of the textual data of literary investigations in this decade, this dissertation comes entitled "The Approaches of Investigating Literary Texts in the Journal of Al - Mawrid in the decade of Seventies : an Analytical Study".This work involves an introduction, three chapters and conclusions. Accordingly, the introduction gives a preliminary overview about the journal under study including its foundation and historical development in the 1970s. As regards the chapters, the first two deal with the approaches of literary investigations of books and collections of poems which are investigated depending on handwriting manuscripts or printed manuscripts (the second novel). Chapter Three concerns the approaches of criticizing literary investigation in the journal of Al - Mawrid in the 1970s. The study has come with some conclusions. It reveals the amount of the investigated literary heritage including books and collections of poems in the 1970s by this journal. In additions, it shows the difference among investigators' approaches. One group follows the methodological rules of scientific investigation whereas another one ignores such rules through their investigations. Such ignorance is represented by lacking the premises of investigation, neglecting the set - up of the investigated text, the author's name, the title of the book, the identification of the book, documenting well - known scholars, quranic verses, poetic quotations, formatting lists of references and printing reproduction.Finally, the researcher does not claim perfection of this study which is indeed the result of hard work. Abstract: The Holy Quran has different methods to attract and convince people towards religion. Telling stories is one of these methods. Stories in the Holy Quran are used to serve the basic human task which is leading people to belief by the styles of looking at the previous nations and learning lessons from their positions towards their prophets. Besides, Mohammad, as the last sent messenger,made use of reference to those stories about the previous prophets and how they patiently stood agains the unbelievers and resisted difficulties to accomplish their missions.Introducing the stories in the texts of the Holy Quran suits the intention behind employing those stories. Linguistically, Quranic stories are not isolated by themselves or separated from the main linguistic structure of the Holy Quran; but they are placed in a very highly rhetorical artistic style with in the miracleous Quranic context. Moreover, the linguistic and rhetorical phenomena and styles used in the Quranic text also make use of the stories. Deletion is one of the styles that syntasts consider as linguistic phenomena whereas rhetoricians consider it as a kind of abbreviation that characterizes the linguistic structure of Arabic. The Holy Quran uses deletion in a rhetorical way fall of indications to convey the meanings and intentions targeted in the text.The purpose and the idea behind deletion in the Holy Quran is in harmony With the linguistic and artistic build up of the story.The approach adopted in this study is the syntactic rhetorical one. Chapter One is devoted to study deletion in the predicate of the sentence and whar is more than the predicate like the object. Chapter two is about deletion of the independent clause and the syndesis sentence in the Suras in addition to deletion in syndesis and conditional sentences. Chapter three studies deletion of many sentences and this move from syntax to the area of rhetorics to achieve the artistic brevity in the story.After full study of the intentions and pragmatics of the story texts in the Holy Quran and identifying places of deletion by the descriptive inductive method and discussing opinions of the syntasts, the interpreters and the commentators and preferring the opinion that agrees with the text of the Quranic story, the researcher concludes that the linguistic structure of the Quranic stories has achieved the rhetorical, semantic and aesthetic purposes That benefit these stories to achieve their purpose of serving the religious objective.

Abstract: According to the importance of language in general and the grammar in particular in solving the problems of the structure and the clarification of its meaning , I have made up my mind to give my research the " omission, Inversion and syntaxes styles in Al - naml Qur'an verses ( A grammatical study") , getting the advantage of the elements of this Indication in understanding the Quranic verses and discovering their Indications. The research consists of : The introduction , the preface , three chapters and conclusion. In the introduction I defined AI - Naml Quranic Chapters as a noun , an order , a virtue , a content and then as a grammatical indication through the clarification of its meaning Linguistically and terminologically , and determining its importance in the interpretation of the holy Quran.In terms of the three chapters , they are presented as follows.Chapter 1 : In this chapter 1 discussed the phenomenon of deletion 1 and clarified its meaning , its importance , its features , and the efforts of the grammarians in studying it , in addition to its relation with metaphor , preciseness , its purposes , its divisions , its conditions , and its applications in AI - Naml Quranic Chapter.Chapter 2 : I allocated this chapter to show the reversion , so I mentioned its definition and the influence of the word position on it in addition to the argument among the grammarians in some of its kinds. I also showed its types , purposes and its existence in AI - Naml Quranic Chapter.Chapter 3 : I used this chapter to explain the difference in syntax and its influence on the verity of the interpretational meanings and the importance of the syntactic marks and the difference in this importance. Abstract: This study seeks to monitor a distinguished aspect of Ibn Abi Al - Khissal's literature represented by his prose letters, which have reflected his value and position among other writers at that era. It was taken into consideration letters of Ibn Abi Kissal collected and checked by Dr. Muhammad Ridhwan Al - Dayya, as well as some letters that were attributed to the writer, and found in the body of references and bibliographies. The importance of the topic comes from the fact that Andalusian literature was and still is a rich field of review and study. It was found in the letters of Ibn Abi Kissal what made the Andalusian prose be enlightened, and disclosed the rank of Andalusian prose in the fifth Hijri century, and how it participated in shaping life images in this area, as well as knowing writing styles used and were prominent there.Methodology used in this study was analytical, descriptive and aesthetic. This study of three chapters preceded by a preamble about the writer, his childhood, his educational background, and how his education has influenced his character, and preamble closed up with a brief about the style of the writer and his school in writing. The first chapter is devoted to the study of formal composition in letters of the writer, which was classified into three sections : in the first section, introductions of his letters were dealt with, in the second, its abstracts were discussed and in the third, conclusions were handled. Second chapter is included to study linguistic composition of these letters, which includes two sections; the first deals with lexicon of the writer, its terms' nature and their compatibility to the topic, the second is for styles adopted by the writer represented by the report, composition, objection, anastrophe, synonym, adaptation and implication. As to the third chapter, it is for studying descriptive and audio composition in his letters, which includes two sections, where we discussed an artistic rhetoric used by the writer to shape his images such as similes and metaphors. In the second, literary techniques were discussed which were used by the writer to get the letter's content coated with a beautiful rhythm, enriching semantic issues and consolidating meaning in the hearer's memory.

Abstract: The study of lexes is the means for every study and every language of the world's languages to reach at the end which is meaning. Lexes, in this study, are our means to reach at the intended end which is standing at this encyclopedic scientist's approach who mastered different fields of knowledge; philology, linguistics, syntax, prosody, arithmetic, and knowledge of sects. He was one of the distinguished Arab linguists in the seventh Hijri century who gained a wide fame. This study aims at investigating his approach for studying lexes which was recognized of its multiplicity of procedures. The study falls into three chapters preceded by an introduction, explaining the motives of this study and other issues, and a prelude that included two sections; the first of which deals with the concept of approach linguistically and idiomatically, the second sections dealt with Abi Albakka' Ala'kbari's biography, his writings, and his impact on the studies of old and contemporary scholars. Chapter one, which is entitled (Lexes : their morphology and meanings). It consists of three sections; section on deals with the morphological structure, here we explained Abi Albakka' Ala'kbari's approach in the study of lexes according to their derivations, meter and rhythm. Section two is devoted to the lexicon meaning. Section three deals with the metaphoric reference.Chapter two is entitled (Semantic development). In this chapter, we explained Abi Albakka' Ala'kbari's references to the development of lexes from different perspectives. Abstract: The Abbasid era had witnessed the emergence of an inspiring poet who represented a unique phenomenon in its vagueness and clarity towards the conflicting poetic streams at that time. Taking this as a standpoint, we found that the thrill to discover the secrets of this vagueness in this poet would make his poetry closer to the hearer to understand his meanings, references and causes. Our study which is entitled as (The Poetry of Mansour Al - Nimry : A Thematic Artistic Study) shed lights on the hidden and revealed attitudes in his poetry. He is a distinctively problematic poet who perplexed old and modern researchers to reach the depths of the essence of his poetry. Vagueness had accompanied him all the period he spent in the palace of Haroun Al - Rasheed. The study fell into two chapters preceded by an introduction and preliminary and followed by a conclusion : The preliminary is entitled (Mansour Al - Nimry and the trends of the Abbasid poetry), in which we dealt with the trends poetry in the Abbasid era and the poet's position towards them. We highlighted Al - Nimry's poetic status and critics and researchers' opinions in his poetry. Chapter one is entitled (Thematic Structures in Mansour Al - Nimry's Poetry). It included a prelude followed by the most important themes of poetry that in his poems collection like; political praise that the poet devoted to praise the Caliph Haroun Al - Rasheed and the ruling personnel of the Abbasid State; shiism for the progeny of prophet Mohammed (Peace be Upon his and his progeny); elegizing and old age complain; description and pride; in addition to other themes like; flirtation; satire and wisdom. Chapter two is entitled as (Artistic Structures in Mansour Al - Nimry's Poetry), it consists of three sections : section one is devoted to study poetic language and poetic lexicon. It also deals with the stylistic patterns like; interrogation, vocation, command and inhibition. Then, we talked about the linguistic patterns that occupied a space in Al - Nimry's poetry. Section two studied the poetic music in its two axes; the inner and outer. Section three is devoted to the study of the poetic image and the styles of artistic imagery that the poet followed like; the figurative image and the declarative one. Depending on what was previously stated, we see the poet's employment of a variety of poetic themes, his high ability to compose the words, in addition to the wideness of his poetic lexicon, rhythmic variety, strength of artistic imagery. All these indicate the poet's culture and his openness on the cultural demands of the Abbasid era. Finally, I pray to Almighty Allah to guide me to what He loves and satisfies with. He listens and responds to the call of whoever calls unto Him.
