Abstract: The present study was designed to investigate the morphological description and histological structure of the pancreas gland in Bat Pipistrellus kuhlii.A total number of (20) ,10 male and 10 female bats were used in this study after taking out the pancreas gland it was fixed with fixative solutions their the sequent steps of preparing histological slides were done after that they were stained by using routine and special stains. These stains were represented by (Heamtoxylin - Eosin, Periodic acid Schiff, Chrom alum heamtoxylin, Modified aldehyde Fuchsin and Masson’s trichrome). The morphological study showed that the pancreas gland in Kuhli's bat is represented by a compact type of pancreatic tissue it is white to yellowish color divided into three divisions head, body and tail. The pancreatic tissue lies in the abdominal cavity near the mass of intestine at the mesentery network which is connected with the coiled region of the duodenum from one side and the extended mesenteries between the dorsal part of stomach and the ventral part of spleen from the other side. The pancreas gland has only one duct that originated from the pancreatic body which is opened in the upper part of the duodenum. The pancreas gland is surrounded by loose connective tissue it extend trabeculae that divides the gland into many lobules that differs in size and shape. The pancreatic tissue is characterized into two portions, the exocrine portion and endocrine portion, the exocrine portion is represented by a compound tubule - acinar gland which consists of a large number of acini and the ductal system, each acini represented by a serous secretory unit which consists of many pyramidal cells that surround a small lumen, the apics of narrow cells are headed towards the acinar lumen while their bases are wide and based on the basement membrane. The acinar sizes are variable some acini are large others are small. The acinr cells number range from (6 to 9) cells. The ductal system which eliminate the products of secretory units to the duodenum it is initiate with centroacinar cells, these cells are connected with intercalary ducts which connected with intralobular duct, these ducts lead to the interlobular duct, which their diameter is larger than the diameter of intralobular ducts. The inter lobular ducts eliminate their secretory contents in the main duct which opened in the upper part of the duodenum. The endocrine portion is represented by clusters of cells known as islets of Langerhans which appeared as masses of cells diffused among the exocrine portion units, they're separated from each other by a thin layer of connective tissue. The islets are randomly distributed within the pancreatic tissue, it is obvious that these islets are massively concentrated in the body part of pancreas inside the lobules and around the ducts as in the pancreas head. The study also revealed that there were difference in the diameters and numbers of the islets, the mean diameters of the islets was reached (1.86) micrometer with range (1 - 2.75) micrometer whereas the mean number of islets was (1.6) islet per millimeter with rang of (1 - 3) islet. Each islet consists of three types of cells arranged as irregular clusters, they are separated from each other with blood capillary network. They were differentiated by using routine and special stains, these cells are Alpha cells they have rounded shape with oval nucleus they lies at the peripheral part of the islet. Beta cells they’re oval shaped with spherical nucleus they lies at the center of the islet, while delta cells are irregular shaped, with pale color lies between Alpha and Beta cells they’re less in number and they may appear as single cell or as small clusters and mostly lies at the peripheral part of the islet. The islet stained with faint blue in routine stains (Heamtoxylin and Eosin), and they were stained with faint blue when using special stains (Chrome alum phloxine) while the nucleus of Alpha cells stained with dark red and the Beta cells nucleus stained blue whereas Delta cells nucleus appeared in pink to pale red color. When using modified aldehyde Fuchsin the islets stained with greenish blue, alpha cells stained with orang, beta cells were blueish green and delta cells stained with green

Abstract: The current study was conducted in five selected positions variety of human activities along the agricultural project named (Beat zwana River) located in Jadedat - alshat, within the province of Diyala, for the period from October 2013 until June 2014, the study included measurement of twenty - two physiochemical factors of river water environment, as well as to study the quality and quantity of community phytoplankton, has also been applied in the study a number of environmental indexes. The range of studied properties were : 10.83 - 38.75°C and 9.17 - 28.5°C for air and water temperature, water depth (16.50 - 284.33 cm), light penetration (14.50 - 152cm) , turbidity (0.27 - 106.98) NTU, electrical conductivity, EC,(514.83 - 1027.5) μS/cm , salinity (1.15 - 4.88 part per thousand), total dissolved solids, TDS (287.83 - 861.6) mg/l and total suspended solids TSS (2 - 49.87) mg/l, pH (6.25 - 7.98), dissolved oxygen, DO (3.65 - 11.25)mg/l and Biological Oxygen Demand. BOD5 (1.07 - 4.35) mg /l, total alkalinity, TA (115.33 - 178.5 ) mg /l, total hardness, TH ( 221.83 - 338.83) mg/l, Calcium, Ca (52.08 - 101.36) mg CaCO3/l, and Magnesium ,Mg (74.62 - 177.89) mg CaCO3 /l, Nitrate NO3(1.55 - 6.55) mg /l, effective phosphate PO4 (0.02 - 4.16) mg/l, Sulfate, SO4 (131.5 - 283) mg/l ,effective Silicate (4 - 2.10) mg/l, , Chlorophyll - a, ( 0.12 - 28.02) and Phaeophytin - a, (0.85 - 25.93). mg/l, respectively. Results of the present study showed that most of the studied characteristics and private (Salinity, EC, TH, PO4, BOD5, Turbidity, TDS , Ca and Mg) were of an influential or higher rates when comparing the permissible limits environmentally overall used properties of water for irrigation or aquaculture or for human consumption, according to recommendations of WHO, FAO Organization, as well as the Iraqi specifications for the river water, which shows that human activities in the region significant effect on water and environment of project. The number of phytoplankton algae that have been diagnosed in this study reached 200 species belong to 72 genera, within nine classes of the following basic algae Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Cyanophyceae, Euglenophyceae, Raphidophyceae, Dinophyceae, Chrysophyceae, Xanthophyceae, and Cryptophyceae. The diatoms algae formed the largest percentage, as record them 131 species belong to 28 genus, and consisting 65.5%, followed by chlorophyceae 30 species belonging to 22 genus and 15%, then Cyanophyceae,22 species, to 10 genus and 11%, followed by algae Euglenophyceae 8 species belonging to 3 genus and 4%, then Cryptophyceae 3species ,to 3 genus and 1.5%, while all of the Xanthophyceae and Dinophyceae recorded 2species belonging to 2 genus and 1%, and finally the Chrysophyceae and Raphidophyceae, found them 1 species belong to 1 genus and 0.5%. Also the results showed that the distribution and biodiversity of diagnosed phytoplankton at the level of the sites, It was found that there is different for each classes from the ranks of the algae, as recorded presence in the first site 90 species belonging to 43 genus, and at the site - 2, 50 and 35 genus, and in site - 3, 68 species and 38 genus, 66 species belonging to 38 genus in site - 4, while presence 127 species belonging to 45 genus at site - 5.The quantitative study of phytoplankton in the lower and the higher ranges at the five sites ( S1, S2, S3,S4 and S5) of the study area respectively recorded the following values, (1780 - 7246 , 300 - 8180 , 220 - 2950, 560 - 3020 and 540 - 6860 cells /ml, and rates generally each site respectively, as well as 2923.6, 2027.0, 871.1, 1344.4 and 2324.6 cells/ml. when comparing the amount of algae that have been counted, we find that the highest 2923.6 rate cells/ml scored St - 1 and less than the rate of 871.1 cells/ml record in S3.In the current study we were able to record six new genus and species after checking with (Checklist of algal flora in Iraq, 2014) and consisted of these algae to : Westella linearis G. M. Smith, Navicula goppertiama Bourrelly .1981, Oedogonium minus (Wittr.) Witrock 1875. Gonyostomum seme Geitler,Gomphoniuma capitum. Bourrelly .1981, Phcus tourus (lemm.) skvortzow 1928.Also in the current study, many ecological indices were used and represented as follows : Richens index (Marglef index (1968), Similarity index (Sorenson index - 1942), Difference index (Bray and Curtis index, 1957), Presence index depended on (Chandler, 1970) and Shannon Weaver index for diversity, To evaluate the relationship between the sites and the quantity and quality of algae studied and water quality. The highest value for richness 16.246, recorded ta S5 and the highest value of the similarity 0.849 was between S1 and S5, the highest value of the difference 0.491 recorded among of S4 and S5, the highest amount of the presence of his record genus Navicula spp from pennales diatoms, feather at the level of individuals in the sample, as recorded following him to the species N. goppertiana and N. cryptocephala 3200 and 2356 cell/ml in October and November in 2013, while the highest value of diversity 1.878, by Shannon Weaver index recorded in S4. This gives an indication of the variation in the quality of water and nutrients and a physiochemical factors that lead to growth provides supportive conditions andthe spread of some species and a specific one for some of phytoplankton during the months of the year and different locations. On the basis of diversity index values, that was between 1.03 - 1.878 as less and higher, can be considered waters of the five sites between light pollution to medium pollution, and classified all within the second water category according (Wilhm guide - 1975). And this gives a conclusion no matter what the view that the water agricultural project environment (Beat - Zwana River) may be directly affected by human activities practiced by the population as well as other environmental impacts experienced by the entire region from various external and internal factors pollutants.

Abstract: The current study covered 14 taxa of the family Ireidaceae wiled growth in Iraq ,as it has a comparative systematic study of all morphological characters , pollengrains , anatomy , molecular , environmental and geographical distribution in detail , as well as the taxonomical treatment have been down for all taxa with keys for all taxa was done.Survey for must districts of Iraq was done to determined the distribution of taxa , therefor many collection were obtained , new location of taxa distribution were fixed and all the specimens collected including those from herbaria were identified. The comparative study of all the morphological characters of plant parts were recorded down in tables , as well as photo for deferent purposes. Priority taxonomic important were notice to subterranean stems (bulb , rhizome and corm) such as dimension , shape and outer cover of the bulbs and corms especially in genus Iris and Gladiolus.Stems showed very important in isolation and diagnosis , however varied among them , some have normal stems (Gynandriris , Gladiolus and some Iris species) , others have flowering stems (scape) in genus Crocus and some of Iris species.Leaves showed large variation among taxa in shape , dimensions and having sheath , as well as some taxa having stem leaves (Gladiolus and some species of Iris) , others have basal leaves (Gynandriris , Crocus and some Iris species). The variation in bracts and bracteoles in type , dimension and shape were used to identify taxa especially for species belonging to the genus Iris , Gladiolus and Gynandriris .The inflorecences variation were used for isolation and diagnoses especially to Iris species , as well as the variation in floral parts for all taxa, also used for diagnosis such as color , shape and accessory parts showed very important value for taxonomic purpose specially in Iris . Also fruits variations such as dimension , shape and having beak or not showed a great value in identification to Iris sp. , but seed variation have a good taxonomic value which used to identify taxa. The study of Light microscope ( L.M.) and Scanninig electron microscope (S.E.M.) to pollen grains specially in type was shown grate value of taxonomic mattresses , inaperturate pollen grains in some Iris species and monosulcate in taxa of Gladiolus , Gynandriris , Crocus and some species of Iris , as well as the differences in pollen shape , dimensions , sculpturing and germination apertures . The anatomical study for the vertical section of leaves and cross section of stems showed many differentiations of the shapes and tissues among taxa. All taxa shown Anomocytic type of stomatal complex.Molecular study results using Random amplified polymorphic DNA( RAPDPCR) technique appeared great importance among taxa . It was revealed the genetic relationships among 12 taxa belong to genus Iris and Gladiolus , separation of these taxa depending on the presence or absence of bands , and the number of these bands in the gel after electrophoreses , so this is evidence of a genetic diversity or polymorphism among the taxa , as well as obtaining a number of unique bands that give genetic DNA fingerprint for the definition of each taxon . The taxa of the family Iridaceae distributed to their growth sites after collection from the Iraqi distracts , as well as the environmental study to the sites of the plant growth , also the taxa will be distributed on the maps to their geographical distracts , so recorded many of new spreading areas . As a result of this study two species Iris madonna Dykes. and Gladiolus anatolicus Boiss. were identified as new record for Iraq and added to flora of Iraq.

Abstract: In the oil industries, large amounts of oil sludge are generated through the refining of crude oil. The main reason for its composition that is when exporting crude oil various kinds of oils (heavy and light ones) are mixed together for the purpose of exportation. But , the mixing process between different types cannot be fully , due to the lack of homogeneity among different quality of crude oil . So, the heavy parts of oil are precipitated to the bottom of tank and with passage of time they accumulate to be sediments that’s known as oil sludge stated at the bottom of the oil storage tank in the cleaning process , oil tanks are emptied and discharged in some spaces or reservoir (pits) located near the tanks called "oil pits". Which are places of dump excess oil of various types of oil from different oil tanks or they are close places from oil / water separating unites .From these spots, samples of two kinds of oil sludge : the bottom of oil tank (during the maintenance of the tank) and oil pits (near the unities of separating water from oil) are collected. Also, samples of soil surrounding the oil pits from five oil locations in Basrah city are collected too. Those locations are : west of Gurna, Northern Rumela, Southern Rumela, Nahar Umar, Alzubeir. At the rate of redundantly for each location and for each type of the study samples. This investigation is considered as the first which conducted in Iraq which include firstly the isolation and identification different types of bacterial species from different oil sludge, and secondly use some of them in biodegradation studies for two kinds of carbon sources of oil sludge : (oil sludge of tank bottom , oil sludge of oil pits) .Oil degrading bacterial species have been isolated on a selective mineral salt medium Bushnell and Hass Mineral Salt Medium (BHMS), supplemented with a carbon source. They are also identified depending on the Morphology and biochemical characteristics; four genus of bacteria (out of 89 bacterial isolates of oil sludge from the tank bottom)Bare identified. They include : 32 Pseudomonas spp. , 27 Rhodococcus spp. 21 Bacillus spp. , 9 Arthrobacter spp. , Also four genera of bacteria (out of 101bacterial isolates of oil sludge from the oil pits) are identified. They include : 41 Pseudomonas spp. 27 Rhodococcus spp. , 22 Bacillus spp. 11 Arthrobacter spp. , , While 8 species and 3 genus of bacteria (out of 259 bacterial isolates of the soil surrounding the oil pits) are identified. They include : 41 Aeromonas spp., 39 Corynebacterium spp., 39 Pseudomonas aeruginosa, 36 Bacillus spp., 33 Micrococcus leteuc, 23 Enterobacter intermedius, 22 Pseudomonas fluorescens, 12 Micrococcus varians 7 Staphylococcus epidermidis, 4 Staphylococcus saprophyticus,3Staphylococcus aureus .The biodegradation percentage of the lost in the concentration of the hydrocarbon compounds of the normal alkanes and two compounds of Pristane and Phytane are measured. Also, the biodegradation of mole percentage of the lost in the area of the hydrocarbon compounds of the normal alkanes and the two compounds of Pristane and Phytane are measured for each four genus which were isolated from the oil sludge pits, and it is also done for one isolated genus from the soil surrounding the oil pits. The measuring process was fulfilled as a comparative study with the control flasks. Thus, the oil sludge (tank bottom ) was used as a source of carbone in the first experiment While, the oil sludge (oil pits) was used as a source of carbone in the second experiment . The incubate time of the experiment is 27 days during which a lost of the percentage of hydrocarbon compounds each 9 days are recorded by using( Capillary Gas Chromatography ). The results showed the biodegradation percentage of the lost in the concentration of the hydrocarbon compounds of the normal alkanes of the oil sludge (tank bottom ) with regard toCbacteria 73.8 % Pseudomonas spp., 70.3 % Rhodococcus spp. 65.7 % Arthobacter spp., 55.6 % Aeromonas spp.,51.5 % Bacillus spp., Whereas, the biodegradation percentage of the lost in the concentration of the hydrocarbon compounds of the normal alkanes of the oil sludge (oil pits) with regard to bacteria 80 % Pseudomonas spp., 74.9 % Aeromonas spp., 70.4 % Rhodococcus spp., 64.8 % Arthobacter spp.,55 % Bacillus spp., While , The results showed of the biodegradation of mole percentage of the lost in the area of the hydrocarbon compounds of the normal alkanes of the oil sludge (tank bottom ) with regard to bacteria 73.7 % Pseudomonas spp.,70.3 % Rhodococcus spp. 65.6 % Arthobacter spp., 55.3 % Aeromonas spp. ,51.2 % Bacillus spp., Whereas, The results showed of the biodegradation of mole percentage of the lost in the area of the hydrocarbon compounds of the normal alkanes of the oil sludge (oil pits) with regard to bacteria79.2 % Pseudomonas spp., 73.8 % Aeromonas spp., 69.2 % Rhodococcus spp.,63.7 % Arthobacter spp., 53.7 % Bacillus spp. It was found that there is approximately match between the biodegradation of mole percentage by using the area and those by using the concentration for each component .

Abstract: A study was carried out during the period from November 2010 to October 2011 to detect the intestinal parasites which contaminate the common fresh vegetables. A total of 303 samples were taken from three wholesale markets and three retail markets, in Baghdad province. Ten kinds common vegetables were selected. These vegetables were Celery (Apium graveolens); Parsely (Patroselinum crispum); Garden cress (Lepidium sativum); Leek (Allium porrum); Radish (Raphanus sativus); Lettuce (Lactuca sativa); Spinach (Ipomoea aquatica); Beet (Beta vulgaris); Mint(Mentha spicata) and Cabbage (Brassica oleracea).Sedimentation and floatation techniques were used for samples examination. Three different solutions (ZnSO4, saturated NaCl , saturated sucrose ) were used in floatation technique. The present study has been shown that the collected samples of vegetables were contaminated with sixteen species of intestinal parasites. It was found that the percentages of contamination with these parasites were as following : (Giardia lamblia) (29.4%), Entamoeba histolytica(24.5%), Entamoeba coli(16.9%), Balantidium coli (8%), coccidia(9.9%) and Blastocystis hominis(0.7%). For intestinal helminthes Ascaris lumbricoides (15.6%), Toxocara spp.(10.3%), Fasciola spp. (5.3%), Schistosoma haematobium (1.7%), Schistosoma masnsoni (1.4%), Taenia spp. (4.7%), Diphyllidum caninum (3.9%), Trichuris trichiura (3.3%), Enterobius vermicularis (6.9%) and Nematoda larvae (6.3%).The present study revealed that the percentage of contaminated vegetables by using sedimentation technique (72.3%) was significantly higher than that of flotation techniques (53.1%). Additionally it was found that, the different kinds of vegetables showed a significant difference in the percentages of contamination with the parasites in both techniques. Thus, the percentage of contaminated Garden cress was (93.5%), (72.4%) in both sedimentation and flotation technique respectively, while Cabbage showed (50%), (36.7%) respectively.A significant high percentage of contamination was recorded in Al - Nahrin wholesale market (89.2%) in comparison with low percentage (59.4%) in Al - Rasheed wholesale market. Additionally, it was found that the percentages of contaminated vegetables in wholesale (76.26%) were significantly higher from that of retail market (64.76%).The present study, also, showed that the percentage of detection of parasites by using ZnSo4 solution (31.2%) was more efficient than that showed by saturated sucrose (8.9%). Additionally; the soaking with normal saline (47.83%) showed a higher percentage of contamination than that by using distilled water (17.39%).The percentages of seasonal contamination were varied significantly, therefore, it was found that spring showed the highest percentage (29.7%) while summer the lowest (20.9%). The washed samples of Garden cress which obtained from the three wholesale markets, reduced the percentages of contamination with parasites but did not remove the parasites completely. Therefore, a significant difference has been noticed between washed (56.76%) and unwashed samples (76.66%).Concerning, the percentages of infections with intestinal parasites, it was found that the medical center (14 July) showed (29.4%) while Al - Ameria center (19.2%). Furthermore, the percentage of parasites infections was significantly higher in the summer (46%) than in winter (12.67%).The present study indicated that there were a positive coordination between the high percentages of contaminated vegetables and the high percentages of infection in the medical centers as in the case of G.lamblia and E.histolytica.Finally, it could be conducted that the contaminated vegetables played an important role in transmission of intestinal parasites to human, particularly, when these vegetables were eaten fresh without sterilization or good washing.

The two lobes located at the sides of trachea (1 - 5) rings of trachea. they appear without Isthemus. The colour of the gland is reddish brown. The shape of the lobes either to be oval or elliptical. On the other hand the thyroid gland in H. auritus showed a clear similarity with that of H. javanicus with the exception of the oval shape of the gland. Thyroid gland of H. javanicus surrounded by capsule of connective tissue consist of external layer of collagenous and elastic fibers, fibroblast and internal layer consist of collagenous fibers with smooth muscle fibers, the capsule also contain blood vessels and nerves. Thin trabeculae extend from the capsule divided the gland into incomplete lobules. The capsule of thyroid gland in H. auritus showed clear similarity with that of H. javanicus with the exception of the adipose tissue between the capsule and gland tissue in H. auritus.Histologically thyroid gland in H. javanicus consists of follicles, parafollicular cells, blood vessels and nerve. The follicles appear in different shapes (oval, rounded and irregular shapes, and have different size (small, medium and large). The thyroid gland tissue in H. auritus has the same appearance of that in H. javanicus. The follicules in H. javanicus lined by epithelial tissue either to be Lwo simple cuboidal or simple cuboidal epithelium. In H. auritus lind by Lwo simple cuboidal, simple cuboidal or even simple columnar epithelial tissue. The follicular cavities contain different quantities of colloid, and few of them lack of collid in both under investigated animals. Parafollicular cells are spreading in gland tissue; they also called calcitonin cella or c - cells. These cells have different shapes either to be rounded or polygonal shape, and found as single or clusters. They are either to be interfollicular or intrafollicular position. The immunohistochemistry reaction revealed clear positive reaction for calcitonin , and the appearance of brown colour represented evidence for the immune reaction .• Parathyroid glandResults of the present study revealed that parathyroid gland situated closely with thyroid gland in both animals under investigatin . The gland surrounded by a capsule of connective tissue represented as an extension from the capsule , which consist of collagenous fiber, elastic fibers, smooth muscles fibers and blood vessels and nerves. The parathyroid gland situated at two position (lateral terminal / apical terminal) the trabeculae wich exted from the gland capsule to the gland tissue separated the gland into incomplete. In H. auritus the parathyroid gland formed from (2 - 4) lobes with rounded or oval shapes and surrounded by thin capsule separated from the thyroid gland follicles.Three types of cells have been differentiated in the parathyroid tissue in H. javanicus represented by chief cells wich apper the most abundant in comparison with the other two types, the second type are the oxyphil cells and the third are water - clear cells, they are similar in both animals and appear as a cellular cords within the gland tissue. The immunohistochemical study in parathyroid gland of H. javanicus reveald positive reaction for calcitoninin, where ̛s the cells appear ̛s in brown color giving the evidence for the immune reaction in cytoplasm and plasma membrane of the chief cells In H. auritus there was clear immune reaction but less than H. javanicus . Result of the present study related with the amino acid analysis of the thyroid and parathyroid glands extraction in H. javanicus (mals &females) declear (13) amino acid in males and (11) in female while in H. auritus (male &females) there were (12) amino acid in both male and females.

Abstract: Mammaglobin A is a member of the superfamily of secretoglobins. Its expression is highly specific for mammary tissue and has been shown to be overexpressed in breast tumor tissue, indicating that mammaglobin A might confer a growth advantage to mammaglobin A - expressing tumor cells. The present study was undertaken to develop the mammaglobin A as a serum biomarker for the early detection of breast cancer, and breast cancer patients follow up after treatments. This study had taken ten months, it involved 84 patients with age ranged 15 - 74 years who had diagnosed with either stage I to III breast cancer or benign lesions of breast at certain Iraqi hospitals and breast cancer centers, and a total number of 10 apparently healthy individuals, with comparable age range of patients as control group.Ten ml of venous blood was collected from studied groups in order to be used for measuring estrogen and progesterone levels, Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT - PCR) test for detection of their serum m - RNA mammaglobin A existence, and serum mammaglobin A levels using Enzyme - Linked ImmunoSorbent Assay (ELISA) technique. Demographic study revealed that most cases enrolled in this study were women within their reproductive age 25 - 44 years old. Distribution of patients according to age group, marital status, and lactation status showed no statistically significant association (P>0.05) with any of these variables, in all comparison. The hormonal study states that elevated levels of estrogen were observed in 52 (62%) patients, also decrease in progesterone levels were observed in 50 (59%) patients out of the 84 cases studied. This indicate a highly significant SUMMARYassociation (p < 0.01) between breast cancer risk, elevated estrogen levels, and decrease in progesterone levels. Mammaglobin A protein was detectable by ELISA in 100% of breast cancer patients (65 case), and not in any benign tumor patients (19 case) nor healthycontrol women (10 females) which indicate the highly specificity of ELISA test (P<0.01) for measuring mammaglobin A levels in patients serum. With high concentration of protein in sera of women with late stage of breastcancer compared with a low protein concentration in sera of women with early stage of breast cancer. By applying a statistical analysis on the result it was found that serum mammaglobin A ELISA test is highly significant (P<0.01) for, differentiation between patients with metastatic breast cancer and patients with early diagnosed breast cancer. In this work, SCGB2A2 gene which coded for mammaglobin A was detected in 64 out of 65 breast cancer cases, but not in the benign or healthy individuals indicating its high specificity as a marker gene (SCGB2A2) for cells derived from mammary glands. A statistical analysis was made for comparison between the three groups, E - Malignant Tumors \ Early Stage, L - Malignant Tumors \ Late Stage, and B - benign, (E, L, and B) which show that the results of molecular study of mammaglobin A detected by RT - PCR is statistically high significance (P<0.001) when used for the differentiation between E group and B group, also between L group and B group. The results showed that mammaglobin A can become an important tool for detecting primary and metastatic breast cancer, and predicting disease outcome.

The study included the gross general morphological and micromorphological characters, the Pollen grains also studied and the chemical compounds, Ecological and geographical distribution and taxonomic treatment have done. Also botanical key was putted to separate the species. General survey for the Phytogeographical districts where the taxa spread in, and the result was a large crowds of samples, and new locations of taxa distribution were recorded. The specimens studied, and correct the mistake naming, specimens were identified and reidentified some miss identified specimens in the Iraqi herbaria. A comparative morphological study was undertaken to all plants parts of taxa appeared from habit and duration of taxa to the quantitative and qualitative attributes the members of the vegetative and floral parts included the roots, stems, leaves, stipules, flowering parts and fruiting parts and drew charts diagrams, tables and accompanying with natural images for different morphological characteristics, as well as the field images. This study showed that all species was herbs, shrubs and succulent and semisucculent annual and perinnal, the major taxonomic importance was for flowering parts includeing the specific Inflorescence, installation of a cupped and its regularity on the branches of the plant, glands forms, numbers, presence or lack of appendages, bractes and bracteoles shapes, dimensions and color fruits shape, indumentum and seeds forms, dimension and her surface sculpturing; and the presence or lack of caruncle, as well as the qualities of roots, stems and leaves, and the morphological characteristics of all plant parts mentioned above have a taxonomic importance in identification and separation of the studied taxa. The study of the micromorphological characters of hairs, leaves epidermal cells and the stomatal complex which included anomocytic, paracytic, anisocytic and tetracytic, have a taxonomic importance of supporting the morphological characters in separation and identification of the genus taxa. The pollen grains have a taxonomic importance because their different in shape, dimensions of polar and equatorial view, the wall thickness and their ornamentation. They are mostly of Tricolporate except two species were Hexacolporate, also the differences in their shape in the polar and equatorial view. They were spheroidal, ovoid and oblate - spheroidal in the polar view and oblate, spheroidal, subprolate and oblate - spheroidal in the equatorial view. The ornomentation they were reticulate, microreticulate and foveoate. The chemical study also importance in separation of the genus taxa four compounds Flavonoids diagnosed in all the studing species but different in concentrations, by using HPLC, they are Myriscetin, Quercetin, Kaempferol and Coumarin esculetin and this confirms that there are a common evolutionary link between the species in terms of their chemical properties, which suggests belonging species to the genus Euphorbia.Through field surveys and information installed on the herbarium samples, the taxa where distributed on their growth areas, and maps have been drawn for taxa distribution in the Iraqi natural geographical districts. the species of Euphorbia were distributed in all Iraqi districts especially in LCA, MSU, MRO, and DWD and some species were farmed in gardens and nurseries either to the beauty of their bractes colors or because their acceleration to the environmental changes such as succulent species, As well as wild species were spread in mountainous areas, oak, nuts forests, in orchards, cultivated fields, flat plains and desert areas in loam soils, clay, gravel, and sand. Through this study some new taxa where founded in Iraq and they are E. cyparissias Kunth ; E. maculata L. ; E. serpens L. ; E. tirucalli L., and this study suggests to recorded them for the first time in Iraq.

Abstract: Few studies on terrestrial snails in general, and garden snails in particular, existin Iraq. The group being important apparently for its wide - spread distribution in various habitats. One species of this group which has been previously recorded in Baghdad, is the garden snail Candidula gigaxii, class : Pulmonata, family : Hygromiidae.Available samples of the land snail C.gigaxii were collected from four locations within Baghdad province; a Taji, the Army Canal area, the Zafaraniyah, and Al - Jadiriya district, the study period of June 2013 to May of 2014.Environmental measurements were recordedat each site. Results showed that air temperature range was 10 - 34? C, soil temperature range was 5 - 26? C, pH range of the soil was between 4 - 8.9 and the content of the soil organic matter was between 0.3 - 2.0%.Snail samples were divided into seven size - classes according to the dimension of the shell and these were <2, 2 - 4, 4 - 6, 6 - 8, 8 - 10, 10 - 12, >12 mmPercentages of each size class were calculated. Having measured shell dimensions, shell growth index (Ia) was also calculated. The range of growth index value for this snail was 1.9 - 3.86 where the highest value was recorded at the Taji site in January 2014 which was probably attributed to low temperature range and high soil moisture and organic matter content. Results also showed that C. gigaxii favored soils with moderately high pH values and rich in organic content. Soil moisture appeared to be a limiting factor for growth; and a loamy soil texture for existence of the studied species. Average highest population density of living snails and empty shells were 44 and 32 individuals / m2 respectively. The overall population density was also calculated for the purpose of obtaining realistic population density of the species.

Abstract: The present study was conducted to investigate the effect of the water body type on the density of crustaceans zooplankton of the cortical Cladocera and two orders of copepod (Cyclopoida, Calanoida), addition to the physical and chemical effect of lake of Baghdad Tourist Island and Tigris river within the water of the lake near the site and electric and know the effect these characterties on density of crustaceans Zooplankton and for doing this study. We choose five places, tow on Tigris river and three places on the Island in AI - Fahhama in north of Baghdad The samples of water were collected every 15 days all these stations from beginning of December 2013 to May 2014. This study had corrected the temperature of air and water and the pH, electrical conductivity. and Dissolved oxygen, BOD5, NO?¯, PO?¯ and the density of Crastaceans Zooplankton. This study showed that the temperature of the air was nearly in the river and the lake and that because of their being in the same geographs area. The temperature was between (16°c - 34°c)in Tigris while it was (11.9°c - 33°c)in the lake Hydrogen Ions, it was (7.3 - 7.9) in the river and (8.18.8)in the lake because that were a lot of water plants and phytoplankton. This study shows that water of the river and the lake in the areas of study have a good of air and that was shown by recording the heigh values of oxygen. The values of dissolved oxygen (DO) was between (8.11 - 11.5) mg\L in river between (7.9111.37)mg\L in lake and showed from the study that the values were few. It was less than 5mg\L it was (0.33 - 2.6) mg\Lin the river and (0.64 - 3.55) mg\L in the lake. The values electrical conductivity of water in all the placed the study in the permissible range the water, it isn't over than 1500?s\cm. The electrical conductively records were between (851 - 1184) ?s\cm in the river, and it was (755 1270) ?s\cm in the lake. From the other hand nutrients, the phosphor records between (0.025 - 0.0563)mg\Lin the river and in the lake between(0.00310.0429)mg\L The Nitrate records its values highs in the month of winter because of the rain and it was increased in the river, it was (0.345 - 0.9135)mg\L compare with the lake, it was (0.028 - 0.626)mg\L in the places of the study that were appearance of two clear increases in the density of Zooplankton one was in winter and the other was spring. The density of zooplankton in the lake much more than it was in the river. The density of the zooplankton belong to Cladocera between (0.019 - 0.307) ind.\L in the lake and the density of the Calnoida was between (0.003 - 0.065)ind. \L in the river and (0.0078 - 3.37) ind. \L in the lake. The results shows differences if there are changes in places and month on most of physical and chemical biological characteristic the measured during the period of this study. The kind of water body effects on most characteristics and soon the density of crustaceans zooplankton.the results of the study mention the binding morale relation between the density of zooplankton the values of electrical conductivity and value of BOD(Biological Oxygen Demand) while there isn't any morale relation between the density of zooplankton and the value of Hydrogen Ion and Nitrate and dissolved oxygen that because the value of these changes was near to be equal in all the places that eayses the reduce of its effective on the average of density of these organism. The study shows that Baghdad lake have the environmental ingredients makes the lake natural protected to forming and breeding a fish in the lakes in addition that it is a place for Tourism.

اظهرت (489) عينة ملوثة بالبكتريا وبنسبة | • Five hundreds swabs were collected from patients suffered from burns in three hospitals of Baghdad city, for the period from 1st June 2006 to 1st November 2007. The swabs were implanted in order to be isolated and diagnosed by morphological and biochemical tests. • The results showed that 489 swabs were contaminated with bacteria (97.8%), while 11 swabs were not (2.2%). The identification and prevalence of the bacteria was as follow Pseudomonas aeruginosa was found in 148 swabs (30.27%), Klebsiella pneumoniae in 102 (20.26%), Staphylococcus aureus in 79 (16.16%), Escherichia coli in 70 (14.31%), Proteus mirabilis in 52 (10.63%) and Enterobacter cloacae in 38 (7.77%). • Information card for each patient was assigned included age, sex, time of suffering from burns, social status and address.• The degrees of suffering were as follow : - First degree of burns, 201 cases (40.2%). - Second degree, 187 cases (37.4%). - Third degree, 112 cases (22.4). Sensivity test to antibiotic and was done for all the isolated bacteria, and it was found, that, they were sensitive to Vancomycin, Ciprofloxacin, Amikacin, Tetracyclin and Fusidic acid within the percentage ratio of 0.0, 59.1, 3.7, 58.5 and 11.6%, respectively. Also it was found that the investigated bacteria showed high Vesistance to Penicillin G (87.9%), Erythromycin (93.9%), Trimethoprim (100%), Carbencillin (83.9), Cefotaxime (63.4%), Ampicillin (75.9%), Gentamycin (67.9%), Streptomycin (83.6%), Nalidix acid (89.4%) and Linomycin (83.2%). o Searching for the active compounds in the extracts of investigated plants (Linum usitatissimum, Nigella sativa and Eruca sativa) was conducted. It was found, that, the seeds of the three plants contained Glycosides, Alkalis, Flavonoids, Soapiness and Resins, which are not water soluble, but could be detected by the alcoholic extraction. Cumarin was noticed in the seeds of N. sativa and E. sativa only. o Different concentrations of water and alcohol extracts were prepared in addition to the isolation of oils, soapiness and Flavonids. The effectiveness of the extracts was tested at the concentration of 16, 32, 64, 128, 256 mg/ml for all the plants, against the bacteria.o The Phenol, water and alcohol extracts of L. usitatissimum and E. sativa showed high effect against the bacterial species, while that of N. sativa was less affective.o The Minimum inhibition concentration (MIC), was found to be different according to the type of extract and the species of bacteria.o The effects of the organic acids (Acetic, Citric, and Lactic) were tested at concentrations of 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 3 and 4% of each acid. An increase in the diameter of inhibition area, related with the increase in the acid concentrations, was detected. It was found that the acetic acid was more affective against the microorganisms, followed by the Citric acid and then the Lactic acid.o on the base of ratios of inhibition area diameters (in vitro), the results illustrated that E. coli was more affected by Acetic acid when the diameters reached 18.75, 21.75, 30.75, 38.25, 40.00 and 44.75 mm, respectively. The concentration of 1.5% was the effective enough against E. coli as diameters rates for P. mirabilis were 19.25, 18.25, 18.0, 22.56, 27.75 and 31.0 mm, respectively, followed by Ps. aeruginosa, S. aurues and En. cloacae when exposed to the optimum concentrations of Acetic, Citric, Lactic acids. The diameters at concentration of 4% were 23.50 and 23.66 mm. o The water extracts from all the involved plants, in addition to the organic acids showed good levels of effectiveness against the different studied bacterial species, when suffered by burns rats were exposed to them. A clear decrease in bacteria numbers in these rats in comparison with non - treated animals, in the swabs removed from the treated and non - treated rats, in addition to the absence of any histophathalogical changes in livers and skins of the treated animals. o Biochemical tests of serums from animals treated with the water extracts and organic acids at concentration of 16 mg/Kg and 18 mg/Kg for seven days and the microscope investigation, proved that these compounds were not toxic.o The effects of the water extracts and the organic acids were studied too from the point of the immunity point of view. An increase in the Levels of IgG and IgA of the supplementary systems C3 and C4 was noticed in the suffered from burns in general. The levels of IgG and IgA tended to be normal after the treatments with the water extract from the studied plants and with the organic acids.o The L D50 of N. sativa and E. sativa was 18 mg/kg while it was 16 mg/Kg of L. usitatissimum.

Abstract: This study was conducted on 20 male of Swiss albino mice, where the main target of this study was to identify the influence of copper nanoparticles (Cu - NPs) on some organs of the male reproductive system. Animals were orally administered with 0.1 ml of 100 mg/kg Cu - NPs for 7, 14, 21 days. Then the animals were dissected in the next day after the end of the dosing period and took from them testes and epididymis (head and tail) to study the parameters in which these particles have affected, and this parameter as follows : 1 - Changes in the weights of each of the animals bodies, testes, tunica albuginea, and epididymis (heads and tails). 2 - Changes in sperm characteristics in testes and epididymis (head and tail), which included : the percentage of live sperms, abnormal sperms and sperm concentration. 3 - Changes in the percentages of the spermatogenic cells, which included : a - Spermatogonia. b - Primary & Secondary Spermatocytes. c - Spermatids. d - Sperms. 4 - Changes in numbers of leydig cells and nuclei diameters. 5 - Changes in diameters of seminiferous tubules and their lining wall thickness. 6 - Changes in thickness and height of epithelial cells in both the head and tail of the epididymis. 7 - Histopathological changes in testes and epididymis (head and tail). Phenotype description of testes from mice treated with copper nanoparticles for a period of 21 days occurrence of congestion and a few amount of fatty material around the testes. The results also revealed a decline in the average body weights on the period of 7 and 21 days of treatment when compared with the weight of the same animals before treatment and the decline was significantly at (P<0.05). Whereas the testes and tunica albuginea weights recorded a significant decrease in their average weights (P<0.05) when compared with control groups. As well as the epididymis weights where showed significantly decrease (P<0.05) in the average of the epididymides heads weights for all three periods of treatment, while a significant decrease (P<0.05) in the average weight of the epididymis tail appear for two periods 7 and 21 days compared with control groups. The study also reported a decrease in the percentage of live sperm and the average sperm concentration and an increase in the percentage of sperm abnormalities extended to all periods of treatment compared with control groups and this change was significant at the level of (P<0.05). The number of leydig cells and nuclei diameters, the results show a decrease in their averages and all the extended treatment period when compared with control groups, and this decrease was significantly at (P<0.05). Treatment with particles of copper nanoparticle indicated a decrease in the percentage of spermatogonia, primary spermatocytes and sperms in all periods of treatment compared with control groups and this decrease was significantly at the level of (P<0.05). While the results of the study revealed a significant increase at the level of (P<0.05) in the percentage of secondary spermatocytes and spermatids compared with the control animals. The study also showed a significant decrease at the level of (P<0.05) in the diameter of the seminiferous tubules of testes and the wall thickness of the seminiferous tubules for all periods of treatment compared with control groups. As well as a reduction in wall thickness and height of the epithelium in epididymis (head and tail) for all periods of treatment compared with control animals and this decline was significantly at (P<0.05). The current study also recorded a textile damage in the testes and epididymis (head and tail), which summarized the crash of some seminiferous tubules, degeneration of lining cells in tubule, the appearance of vacuole between cells and lifting epithelium from the basement membrane. On this basis, this study has shown for the first time that particles of copper nanoparticles have a negative impact on the effectiveness and activity of the male reproductive system in albino mice.

Abstract: تناولت الدراسة الحالية دراسة تشريحية مقارنة لتسعة مراتب من العائلة القرعية Cucurbitaceae المستزرعة والبرية والتي زرعت في الحديقة النباتية لكلية التربية للعلوم الصرفة ابن الهيثم والمراتب هي : 1 - Citrullus colocynthis Schrad2 - Citrullus vulgaris Schrad3 | The present study included comparative anatomical study for nine taxa of Cucurbitaceae family for cultivated and wild types, which were planted in the garden of College of Education for Pure Sciences/ Ibn Al - Haitham. These taxa included : Citrullus colocynthis Schrad, Citrullus vulgaris Schrad, Cucumis melo Linnaeus, Cucumis melo var.flexuosus Naudin, Cucumis sativus Linnaeus, Cucurbita maxima Duchesne, Cucurbita pepo Linnaeus, Lagenaria siceraria (Mol.) Standl, Luffa cylindrica (Linnaeus) M. Roem. This study focused on some the anatomical characterization as compared study for the first time to these taxa in Iraq. This study included the features of ordinary epidermal cells, leaves petioles, stems, pedicles and sepals of the studied taxa. The results found the appearance of stomata in the stems and petioles in straight line as adjacent planar shape to the epidermal cells and not scattered as found in the leaves, this result was seen for the first time in the current taxa. Furthermore, the stomata have been shown in pedicel and sepals in same type as the stomatal complexes in leaves. The importance of phenotypic variation for the length and types of eglandular trichomes and the presence or not of glandular trichomes were found to carry out the role of indumentum in the different isolated taxa. Additionally, this study included the examination of the cross sections of the roots and also exposed the constituent tissues of it, the variation in the thickness of epidermis, cortex, vascular cambium as well as the arrangement of phloem cells have an important role in the studied taxa. The cross sections of stems, leaves petioles and pedicles showed shape and studied a significant role in the studied taxa and split them into groups. Moreover, this study concluded that the following of above sections from the outside into the inside has an important role to find out their constituent tissue. Thus the results of the study clarified the importance of epidermis tissue through the explanation of the outer and inner tangential walls of their cells and the variation in their dimensions, thickness and kind of stomatal complexes; therefore it has been given the importance of those features in the studied taxa in this study. Cortex tissue showed an extension of angular collenchyma and chloronechyma from stem to pedicel and have shown variation in the thickness in these two layers which was useful in the classification of studied taxa. Vascular tissues differed in the shape of vascular bundle, the number of rows and xylem units and the arrangement of the internal phloem, and all of those characteristics have helped in the studied taxa. In addition, the vascular tissues helped to find their arranged in the stems and found as vascular cylinder shape, while in the petioles and pedicel shown as vascular ribbons were which took the shape of sections petioles and pedicel. The medullar cells and medullary rays have been studied and also their similarity in the morphological characterization and function. Moreover, the anatomical features of the vertical sections of the laminae of leaves in mesophyll tissue have been examined, in the thickness of palaside and spongy layers in midrib, the variation in number and arrangement of vascular bundles have an important role in the studied taxa. In the current study, the ordinary and petal leaves venation and the type of venation have been studied in the studied taxa. Moreover the vertical sections for sepals were examined and also their similarity with laminae of leaves which was useful for studying the constituent tissues of some parts such as pedicel and sepals and anatomical features; and all of the studied characterization helped to study the vegetative parts through following them in studied taxa.

Abstract: The morphological and histological structure of digestive tract in one species of Iraqi fish that resides in Iraqi inland fresh water (Liza abu) was studied. In this study used (43) fish were in different lengths, the gut of these fish have removed to study the relationship between the length of gastrointestinal tract and the standard body length as well as for morphological and histological study. The value of relative digestive tract length (RGL) was 2.9. Intestine was the longest part of the digestive tract, the average length of intestine was (32 cm). The shape of the folds of the mucous membrane lining the walls of digestive tract showed some differences in different parts of digestive tract, in esophagus the folds were longitudinal running along the wall and it was straight, unbranched and the mean of their number was (9 - 8) folds. In the stomach the folds were longitudinal and (7 - 6) in their number, they were branched into fingerlings structures. In pyloric caeca, anterior and posterior part of intestine and rectum the folds were fingerlings in shape, unbranched and their number were (20 - 19), (27 - 26), (25 - 23), (19 - 18) respectively. Histological study was shown that the wall of the digestive tract is consist of four major coats, from the inside to the outside they were as follows : Tunica Mucosa which characterized by its clear three parts, epithelial tissue, lamina propria and muscularis mucosa. Epithelial tissue in esophagus was thick stratified squamous epithelium, in stomach was thin simple columnar epithelium and gradually increase in length in each of pyloric caeca, intestine and rectum and it was simple columnar epithelial tissue. Mucous which is secreted in esophagus is made of a large proportion of neutral and acidic mucopolysaccharide, while the mucous secreted in the cardiac stomach consist of a large proportion of neutral mucopolysaccharide and less proportion of acidic mucopolysaccharide, either, in the pyloric stomach is consist of very small proportion of both neutral and acidic mucopolysaccharide, in pyloric caeca mucous consist of a small proportion of neutral mucopolysaccharide and less proportion of acidic mucopolysaccharide, and the mucous secreted in an anterior, posterior parts of intestine and rectum consist of small proportion of acidic mucopolysaccharide and large proportion of neutral mucopolysaccharide. Lamina propria consists of connective tissue containing capillaries and lymphoid cells and it represent the basis of the folds, in the cardiac stomach it contains simple tubular glands. Muscularis mucosa characterized by the presence of muscle fibers that are not continuous, the higher thickness of this layer was in pyloric stomach. Tunica Submucosa consists of connective tissue that contains capillaries, the higher thickness of this coat was in the stomach and less thickness of this coat was in the rectum. Tunica Muscularis consists of two layers of smooth muscle fibers, the internal layer has a circular arrangement, the external layer has a longitudinal arrangement in stomach, pyloric caeca, intestine and rectum. either in esophagus tunica muscularis was arranged in inverse manner. The circular and longitudinal muscle fibers in esophagus were skeletal muscle fibers, and they were smooth and non - striated in stomach, pyloric caeca, intestine and rectum. the higher thickness of this coat was in the stomach and less thickness was in the rectum Tunica Serosa is present in all regions of digestive tract.

Abstract: الصرع هو حالة مزمنة تتميز بنوبات متكررة دون سابق انذار، سببها خلل في نقل الاشارات الكهربائية داخل الدماغ، وعقار Levetiracetam (LEV) من العقاقير المضادة للصرع، ذو خصائص دوائية ملائمة وتظهر فعاليته في تحسين السيطرة على النوبات، ويكون امتصاصه في البلازما سري | Epilepsy is a condition characterized by recurrent abrupt seizures episodes caused by the defect in the transmission of electrical signals to the brain. LEV is one of antiepileptic drugs which has appropriate pharmacological properties and show its effectiveness in improving the control of the epileptic seizers, its rapid absorbance, and its excretion through the kidneys by glomerular filtration and it is re - absorption into the tubular portion.Kidney arise from intermediate mesoderm and it consists of three execratory organs in all vertebrates : pronephros which is transient and present in all vertebrates, mesonephros which also present in all vertebrates embryos and their activity depends upon the type of embryo, and metanephros which is the functional kidney during life after the embryogenesis in reptiles, birds and mammals. The first signals for kidney initiation in albino rat embryo take place in the 10th days of pregnancy. The current study is designed to demonstrate the effect of LEV (350 mg/kg/day) on the kidney development of Albino rat fetus from the age of 8 - 18 days of pregnancy and its effect on the kidneys of the 3 and 7 days aged newborns. In addition to its effect on pregnant rat kidneys treated with the drug for 17 days. Hundred pregnant Albino rat (Rattus rattus) are enrolled in this study, classified blindly to 50 control and 50 pregnant rats are orally treated with LEV (350 mg/kg/day). The histological results of the current study revealed that there is no effect on embryonic kidney in fetuses aged 9 days of pregnancy, whereas, the pronephros of the fetuses aged 10 days shows death of the cells in comparison to control group. Moreover, the kidney of the 11th aged fetuses showed degeneration of the mesonephric duct represented by decrease cellular mass, death and hypertrophy of some cells comparing to the cells of control group. Concerning the kidney of the 12th aged fetuses and subsequent days, there is degeneration of the epithelial cells of the metanephros duct, their detachment from the basement membrane and their congestion in comparison to the cells of the control group. The kidney of the 13th aged fetuses showed swelling, damage for some of the epithelial cells of the glomerulus and collecting tubules, accumulation and shrinkage of glomerular cells, damage, death, and detachment of some collecting tubules cells demonstrated in the 14th aged fetuses. There enlargement of capsular space in addition to the most previous defects was seen in the 15th aged fetuses in comparison to the control group. Most of the previous defects are seen in the 16th, 17th and 18th age fetuses. Scanning electron microscope revealed nuclear enlargement of the podocytes found in the visceral layer of the renal corpuscle of the 16th aged fetuses (mean diameter 64.6 µm compare to 39.2 µm of the control group). Regarding the kidney of 3rd and 7th aged newborns, the histological defects seen in the latest aged fetuses was also seen and there was statistically significant differences (p?0.05) between the diameters mean of the glomerulus of the 3rd and 7th aged newborn. Whereas, there was no significant difference in the diameter of the kidney tubules of 3rd but there was significant difference of the 7th aged newborn. Regarding the kidney of the 17th day treated pregnant rat, there was enlargement of the capsular space caused by accumulation, and degeneration of glomerular cells characterized by loss of the nucleus, shrinkage of the glomeruli, and atrophy of most of them. Loss of the nucleus and detachment of the cells, and swelling of most of the collecting tubules. There was a statistically significant difference between the diameter of the kidney tubules of the pregnant rat and the control group. In conclusion, LEV had histological effect on the kidney of the 10 - 18 aged fetuses and on 3, 7 days aged newborns in addition to its effect on the kidney of the pregnant female treated with the drug for 17 days.

Abstract: تمثل الدراسة الحالية دراسة التركيب المظهري والنسجي وكيميائية النسيج للقناة الهضمية للحمام البري فاختة النخيل Streptopelia senegalensis, لثمان عينات من النماذج الحية البالغة من الحمام البري التي تم اصطيادها حية باطوال مختلفة, وبعد تخديرها بمادة الكلورفورم, | The present study represent the Anatomical, Histological and Histochemical structures of the alimentary canal in the laughing dove Streptopelia senegalensis, for eight adult specimens of these wild birds were trapped alive in different lengths, The specimens were anaesthetized by chloroform, and then carefully dissected for studying the gross anatomy, the alimentary canal from the proximal esophagus to the cloaca was carefully removed from the body cavity, lengths have been taken for alimentary canal and for each part of it, the alimentary canal divided into small pieces for each part, then fixated with Bouin's solution for general histological studies.Transverse sections of the different studied samples were cut at thickness of 5 - 7microns and the prepared sections were stained with routine stains Haematoxylin and Eosina and special stains for histochemical studies ( (Periodic acid - Schiff (PAS) technique, Alcian blue - PAS method and the Mercury bromophenol blue) ). The present Anatomical study showed the esophagus as long tubular organ, the cervical part of it is longer than the thoracic part and the crop was merely enlargement sac in shape which locate at the entrance of the thorax. The stomach is differentiated into a glandular proventriculus and a muscular ventriculus or gizzard. The small intestine distinguish into duodenum, jejunum and ileum which is the longest part of it, whereas the caeca are very small pair, and the rectum is short tube which end with cloaca, the last part of the alimentary tract. The histological study revealed that the alimentary tract composed of usual four layers; tunica mucosa, tunica sub mucosa, tunica muscular and tunica adventitia or serosa. The mucosal layer of esophagus was arranged in folds which was longer in the cervical part and constituted by nonkertenized stratified squamous epithelium, esophageal glands found just in submucosal tunica of the thoracic part. The crop has the same histological structure as in esophagus but it’s folds are less high than them in esophagus and there is no glands on it. The superior gastric glands of proventriculus were simple tubular glands and the deep gastric glands were compound alveoli glands which involve the submucosa tunica.A thick layer of koilen covers the mucosa of the ventriculus it’s lamina propria had loose connective tissue with simple alveolar glands. The villi of small intestine become shorter toward the rectum, which lining by simple columnar epithelium with striated border, and contain goblet cells which gradually increase in number frequently from the duodenum to the rectum. The histochemical studies revealed that PAS and alcian blue / PAS stains were given positive react in the esophageal glands, mucosa layer of esophagus, crop, stomach, and superior gastric glands and the goblet cells of small intestine and rectum. whereas the alcian blue / PAS were givin weak react in deep gastric glands in the provetriculus and gastric gland of gizzard but goblet cells were givin positive react in small intestine and rectum.Proteins were observed in the mucosa layer of esophagus, glandular stomach, intestine and rectum, when they had taken positive react with Mercuric bromophenol blue stain, but the reaction appeared weak in esophagea glands, intestinal glands and goblet cells.

اجريت الدراسة الحالية على مواقع اقفاص تربية الاسماك في نهر دجلة شمال بغداد للتعر | The present study took place on fish farming cages located in the Tigris River in the north Baghdad, to in order to study the effects of high fish densities on zooplankton communies in addition to study of some physical and chemical factors. The environmental effects of fish farming in cages in Iraq have not been studied well, knowing that this activity is practiced increasingly and there was a significant need to study the implications of this important mater. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of carpfish farming cages on the density of zooplankton in the Tigris River, The samples were taken twiece a month form the three stations for six months from January to June 2014 in three selected stations in the river stream : the first place was Al - Rashidiya station which located in Al - Rashidiya area (Kadhim Al - Ali), 5 km from tourist Baghdad island and the second station was Algriaat 1 which located in Algriaat area in Rusafa side of Baghdad city corresponding to the Kadhimiya near the bridge of riverain pedestrian (Al - Duab bridge) connecting between Al - Rashidiya, while the Al - Kadhimiya and the third station was Algriaat 2 which located in Algria’at zone corresponding to the area of Kadhimiya. The study included the identification studying the density of three grops of zooplankton which were Calanoida, Cyclopoida and Cladocera in addition to the measurement of some physical and chemical characteristics of river water and its effect on the three zooplankton community according to their importance, which included velocity of water current, water temperature electrical Conductivity and Salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen(DO), biological oxygen demand (BOD), phosphate concentration and nitrate concentration. The results of the present study showed that the density of Cladocera. Was lower than the densities of Calanoida & Cyclopida in the three station. on the other hand the current study showed that the densities of both Calanoida and Cyclopoida were oscillatory during the months of th study between highest and lowest, without in statistically significant differences, but the highest densities in June, and this study shows that the highest densities of the three groups of zooplankton were recorded in June. The present study showed a negative effect of the high density of the fish in the cages on the density rate of planktonic crustacea by reducing the numbers and the density of planktonic crustacea community inside cages. Compared with planktonic crustacea community outside the cages and with those within 100 meters far from cages, the differences were statisticaly singnficance. On the other hand regarding to the results of the physical and chemical factors it was found a highest that the velocity of water current rate was 82.50 cm/s in Algria’at 2, while the lowest was 43.33 cm/s in Al - Rashidiya station.Water temperatures ranged between 9C° in Algria’at 2 to 32C° in Al - Rashidiya station during the study period. The highest rate of electrical conductivity was 1032.00 ?S/cm in Algria’at 1, while the lowest was 765.25 ?S/cm in Al - Rashidiya station, while the highest rate of the salinity concentration in the fish cages was 0.66 mg/L in Algria’at 1 and the lowest concentration of salinity was in Al - Rashidiya 0.48 mg/L.pH values ranged between 7.20 in Algria’at 2 to 8.05 in Algria’at 1 in March for both stations, whil the concentration of dissolved Oxygen in water concentration ranged between 5.95 mg/l in Al - Rashidiya to 7.70 in Al - Rashidiya and Algriaat 1. and the Biological Oxygen Demand ranged was between 4.11 mg/l in Algriaat 1 to 6.50 mg/L in Al - Rashidiya station during February for both stations. It was also found that the lowest concentration of phosphate was 0.016 ml/l in Algriaat 2 in april while the highest concentration was 0.075 mg/l algreaat2 in march Also it was found that the lowest cocentration of nitrate 0.82 mg/l was recorded in al griaat 2 in fabruart while the highest conceneation 1.90 mg/l was recorded in Al Rashidya in june. All the results of the physical and chemical factors founded were within normal allowable environmentally boundaries and which have no effect on the aquatic planktonic crustacea community.

Abstract: “The current research dealed with fourteen taxa belonging to the genus Ranunculus L., Family Ranunculaceae that grown in Iraq. The study included the gross general morphological and micromorphological characters, the Pollen grains also were studied and the chemical compounds (Flavonoids), Ecological and geographical distribution and taxonomic treatment have been done. Also botanical key was puted to separate the Taxa”.“General survey for the Phytogeographical districts where the taxa spread in, and the result was a large crowds of samples, and new locations of taxa distribution were recorded. The specimens in the Iraqi herbaria were studied after ensuring that it was correctly identified”. “Comparative morphological study was undertaken to all plants parts of taxa including the roots, leaves, stipules, flowering parts and fruiting parts. Charts, diagrams, tables were drawn and accompanying with natural images for different morphological characteristics, as well as the field images that are important for the study. This study showed that all the taxa of the genus were herbs that are annual or perennial. There was agreat important for the roots, stems and there Indumentum, the presence orabsence of stipules, shape and size and margin of basal leaves and cauline leaves and leafy bract, the shape of sepals and their numbers and their Indumentum, the numbers and shape of Petals and their colors, the number of Stamens and the colors of Anthers, the shape of ovary and their indumentum, presence or absence of style as it was very useful for the taxonomic identification and separation of the studied taxa. As well as the fruiting parts including the length of fruiting peduncle, the fruiting receptacle, the fruiting head and its shapes and their dimensions, the number of Achene Fruitlets and their sizes, colors and Beak shape. Also the surface configuration of the fruitlets Surface has been studied by (SEM) as it wae either hairy or tuberculate - hairy or Transversely rugose or muricate or reticulate or reticulate - minutly rugose or granular or granular - hairy or granular - hairy tuberculate or spinulose”.“The study of the micro - morphological characters of hairs, leaves epidermal cells and the stomatal complex, have a taxonomic importance of supporting the morphological characters in separation and identification of the genus taxa”.“The study show that the pollen grains have a taxonomic importance because of their difference in shape, dimensions, the wall thickness and their ornamentation. It was either apolar which was spheroidal and pantoporate, or isopolar which has different shapes in the equatorial view it was spheroidal, subprolate and oblate - spheroidal, it was either 3 - colpate, 4 - colpate or 5 - colpat.the colpate where either zonocolpate or syncolpate in the form of parasyncolpate. The ornamentation were verucate, echinateand scabrate”. “The chemical study also has an importance in separation of the genus taxa, six flavonoid compounds were diagnosed by using” HPLC wich are Kaempferol, Vitexin, Orientin, Quercetin, Iso - vitexin and Iso - orientin. According to the presence or absence of those structures cluster analysis where done for the results of the flavonoid compounds and the taxa where divided into groups that reveal the chemical relationships between them.dendogram where performed which also show the chemical relationships between the taxa by using UPGMA method and NTSYS program issue 21. the study shows that the presence and distribution of those compounds vary according to the variation in the plant distribution the study shows that some of the taxa have “the same compounds which enhance its belonging to the Ranunculus genus”. “Through field surveys and information installed on the herbarium samples, the taxa where distributed on their growth areas, and maps have been drawn for taxa distribution in the Iraqi natural geographical. Most of the taxa were distributed in N. and N.E of Iraq regions districts especially in MAM, MSU, MRO, and FBF districts. We notice that MSU district has a great number of the plants under the study as we found there are all the taxa accept one”. This study helps to detect distribution areas for some taxa that have been not mentioned in the Iraqi flora or other records which are R.kotschyi and R.trichophyllus var.trichophyllus. Also the study records distribution for the new species R.chius in MAM district which hasn't been mentioned in the Iraqi flora in this district before. Finally all the taxa were classified and the botanical key was done to separate them.

The two groups were found in range 20 - 40 year while the control group include individuals with different age due to the randomly collection. The occupation factor play arole in the prevalence of infection with highly significant differences (P<0.05) in (house wife, workers) with a percentages 35(70%) 35(64.8%) in OT and uveitis groups respectively but the control group expend to include house wife, workers and officers with a total rate 92.7%.The education level also showed significant differences (P<0.01) among the studied groups, the most of ocular toxoplasmosis and uveitis samples were found in highly frequency at the primary, intermediate and secondary educational level with total rate 74% and 77.81% respectively while the control group was found at the secondary and under graduate educational level in 77.1%. The residency character was also examined and no revealed significant difference (P<0.05).The infection path was also set by the presence of animals especially cats which ware existed leading to statistical differences, p? 0.01 for OT group with rate 18%. The visual activity character showed no significant difference (P?0.05) between the patients of OT and uveitis who affected their visual acuity in right eye while the doubling response was recorded for uveitis patients with rate 55.6% in comparable with OT patients with rate 38% for the left eye. The intra ocular pressure was normal in both groups and for both eyes without significant difference.Latex and ELISA IgG. IgM serological tests were used in this study. The results were showed that latex test is easier and it is appear that OT patients were diagnosis with 100%, while the uveitis patients didn't show any positive result. Control group showed that 21 individuals were infected with rate of 21.9%.ELISA - IgG toxo. antibodies confirmed that the infection rate of OT patients was 39 (78%) versus 11(22%) with negative result, while the study also confirm that uveitis patient that have OT disease was 12 patient from 54 case, 42 case didn't diagnosis for OT. The control group was re - evaluated showed 28 case with toxoplasmosis infection from 96 case which from the subclinical group. The antibodies levels were measure by international unit/ ml for all groups, the IgG level was 3.186 ± 1.703 Iu/ml in positive control group followed by OT patients with 2.927 ± 2.417 and uveitis group 0.637 ± 0.803, finally the negative control group 0.276 ± 0.163. IgM levels were low and its presence didn't have any positive case. This study also showed that there was a relation between the IgG level and the pathological effect on eyes which resulted from infection for both groups OT and uveitis, it was high rate 73.5% with 50 patient, for posterior uveitis causing significant differences (P<0.05) followed by anterior uveitis with rate 13.2%.As for the results of cytokines there was a high level of IFN - ? in positive control group 793.7 ± 3461.6 pg/ml followed by OT group 550.6 ± 210.6 pg/ml, the uveitis group that in infected with ocular toxoplasmosis and negative control recorded 524.1 ± 173.6 and 506.6 ± 104.6 pg/ml levels respectively, this rise in the level of IFN - ? cause a significant differences at (P<0.05) for OT, uveitis (non infected) and positive control groups. TNF - ? recorded arise of its level in positive control group 34.89 ± 12.29 pg/ml followed by OT group 32.24 ± 9.91 pg/ml then positive uveitis group 23.61 ± 12.91 pg/ml after them negative control 14.62 ± 5.43 pg/ml finally negative uveitis group with 7.76 ± 4.04 pg/ml.High level of 1L - 12 was gotin positive control group in a concentration 827.00 ± 224.25 pg/ml followed by OT group with 811.28 ± 179.40 pg/ml. An increase in 1L - 17A was recorded in positive control group with mean 327.65 ± 77.89 pg/ml while converged concentration in OT group 263.73 ± 47.48 and positive uveitis group 252.57 ± 61.55 pg/ml. The lowest level was in negative control group 421.6 ± 168.14 pg/ml. MCP - 1 showed a rise in its level in positive control group 274.09 ± 92.05 pg/ml and reduce in OT patients 217.68 ± 98.70 pg/ml, while the two groups negative and positive uveitis recorded levels 155.71 ± 99.51 and 132.60 ± 99.02 pg/ml respectively. The lowest level was register in negative control 97.56 ± 79.17 pg/ml.

Abstract: نبات الصبار Aloe vera L. من النباتات المهمة والتي تستعمل حاليا بشكل واسع في مجال صناعة الادوية ويضاف هلام الصبار الى اغلب مستحضرات التجميل مع بعض المواد الغذائية في جميع انحاء العالم, لذا تم دراسة التاثيرات السمية الخلوية والوراثية لتراكيز مختلفة من المس | Aloe vera L. is one of the important plants in the world. It is currently and widely used in pharmaceutical industry, and its gel in some time added to some foods all over the world. Therefore, the present study was conducted to evaluate the cytotoxic and genetic effects of crude, alcohol and aqueous extracts of Aloe vera gel toward the onion(Allium cepa L.) roots (as a biological system) exposure at different periods. Onions roots were treated with different concentrations of the extracts : 2% , 5%, 10%, 20% and 40% (v/v)of the crud extract , 5%, 10%, 20% 30% and 50% (v/w) of alcohol extract and the concentration 25%, 50%, 100%, 150% and 200%(v/w) of aqueous extract of Aloe vera gel exposed for different period (24, 48 and 72) hour. The investigation were focused on the effect of these extracts on onions roots length rate and some cellular properties (mitotic index, phase index, the percentage and type of chromosome aberrations, as well as a genetic study using Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) of onions roots treated with different concentration of this extracts. Results showed that all Aloe vera gel extracts had inhibit activity toward onion roots length rate. The inhibition associated positively with the increasing concentration. The effective concentration (EC50%) were 10% of the crude extract, 20% of the alcoholic extract and 100% of aqueous extract, indicating the effectiveness of the crude extract followed by alcoholic extract and then the aqueous extract. Cytological study showed that all Aloe vera gel extract revealed a significant decrease in mitotic index (MI%) of the onion roots cells compared with the control group, and the effect was positively associated with the increasing concentrations of the extract. However, the effect was independent on the exposure period. The concentrations 10%, 20% and 150% of the crude, alcohol and aqueous extract respectively indicated a reduction of the mitotic index to almost 50% of the control treatment. Therefore, this concentrations considered as sub - lethal concentrations for this extracts respectively while the higher concentrations than 30%, 50% and 200% of the crude, alcohol and aqueous extract which reduced the mitotic index to almost 22% of the control treatment were considered as lethal concentrations. The results also showed a significant decreases in prophase and an increase in metaphase in onion roots cells treated with extracts comparison with control treatment. Many of chromosomal abnormalities were appeared due to the treatments of the onion roots with different concentration of the extracts, the percent abnormalities was increased with the increasing concentration of the extract and exposure period. The most frequent of chromosome abnormalities were chromosomal stickiness, disturbed chromosome, chromosomal bridges, C - mitosis, vagrant chromosomes in addition to the other chromosomal abnormalities star telophase. The toxicity effect of Aloe vera gel were studded on molecular level by using random amplification polymorphism of DNA(RAPD). Ten random primers were used, seven of them gave polymorphic bands in all the studied samples and their molecular weights were ranging from 100 to 1600 base pair. The results of Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) showed significant difference in the number of DNA band and their molecular weight of the onion roots treated with Aloe vera extracts compare to control treatment. The high concentrations(higher than EC50%) of extracts were showed to be more effective on the DNA through the appearance or disappearance of larger number of DNA band in comparison with control. The genetic template stability (% GTS) was significantly decreased in DNA of onions root treated with high concentrations (higher than EC50%) of Aloe vera extracts, therefore the high concentrations of Aloe Vera extracts were considered to be genetically toxic. The genetic dendrogram was obtained using Jaccard factor of genetic divergence and the result showed segregation of the samples treated with heights concentrations (%40 200% and 50%) of crude, alcohol and aqueous extract from other samples and control treatment. Therefore, the RAPD method can be considered as an efficient method in detecting for assessment of genotoxicity of crude, alcohol and aqueous extract of Aloe vera gel.

These fungi were related to 23 species or isolates, where Aspergillus spp. prevailed over all others (11 species) with CF of 14% for all Aspergilli, Aspergillusniger and Aspergillusflavus showed the highest CF 7.2% and 3% respectively, other Aspergilli represented Aspergillusparvulus (CF 1.6%), Aspergilluscandidus (0.4%), Aspergillusraperi, Aspergillusclavatus, Aspergillusglaucus, Aspergillusornatus, Aspergillussclerotioniger, Aspergillusterreus and Aspergilluswentii were all showed CF of 0.2%.Other isolates fungi from leaves fragments were four morphologically different isolates of Penicillium with 0.4% CF for each. Additionaly, isolates of Cladosporium sp. (2%) and Cladosporiumcladosporoides (0.4%), as well as Cunninghamella sp., Drechsleraaustraliensis, Alternariaraphani, which showed 0.2% CF for each, Paecilomyces variotii (0.6|%), and different isolates of sterile fungi (White and Hyaline colonies) were also obtained. - Study the antagonistic activity of isolated endophytes using dual culture method against five plant pathogenic fungi(Fusarium oxysporum, Fusarium graminearum, Fusarium sp., Macrophomina phaseolinaandRhizoctonia solani)taking into account the percentage of inhibition of pathogenic fungi, results revealed variation of antagonistic activities between endophytes and pathogens. Different cases of antagonism were also appeared ranged from mycoparasitism of the endophytes on pathogens or vice versa, to competition between the two fungi and to the appearance of inhibition zone between them, this result may indicates the affinity of using some isolated endophytes in biological control applications against or controling fungal plant diseases. - Effect of ethylacetate extracts of culture broth of active endophytes shown in the last experiment against two bactria E.coli, S.aureus and the yeast Candida albicans using disc diffusion method, where filter paper discs were imprignated with different concentrations of fungal broth extracts. Results showed variation of inhibitory activity against bacteria with different endophytes, bacteria and conc. of the extract. Regarding the effect onC.albicans and filamentous fungi, most fungal broth extracts showed no inhibitory activity against yeast and no extract as well showed inhibitory activity on filamentous fungi. These results give indication thatbroth extracts contain antibacterial compounds. - Addition of 20% crude fungal broth of some endophytes to the culture medium showed significant inhibitory activity against filamentous fungi which did not respond to broth extracts, percentage of inhibition ranged between 0 - 77.08% and maximum inhibitory activity was shown by Penicillium sp. Isolate. These results give indication that some of crude filtrates contain antifungal compounds. - Analysis of broth extracts of some endophytes using TLC technique showed the content of extract of number of UV illuminated spots isolated on TLC pates having different Rf values, Bioautography showed inhibitory activity of some of these isolated spots against E.coli, S.aureus and the Filamentous fungus F.oxysporum. - Testing the extracellular enzymes activities of isolated endophyles on solid media, enzymes included amylase, lipase, pectinase, laccase, cellulase and protease showed variation in secretion of these enzymes, as well as, no endophytes showed the affinity of secreting all tested enzymes. Results also showed the high affinity of some endpohytes to secrete enzymes that could be use in multiple important applications after separation andcharacterizationof these enzymes.

Abstract: Studies have linked FOXP3 and TGF - ? expression to the outcome of certain cancers. FOXP3 is a marker known to be expression in T - regulatory cells while TGF - ? is a secreted protein usually detected in the extra cellular matrix. The present study aimed at focusing on the identification of immune markers namely FOXP3 and TGF - ? with their expression patterns in lung cancer patients as a useful tool to predict disease progression. Also it is aimed to design molecular evaluation of m RNA expression of both FOXP3 and TGF - ? in peripheral blood mononuclear cells and bronchial (brush) cells of patients with lung cancer and benign lesions, using qRT PCR; determining the T - reg level in the peripheral blood employing the High Rsolution Melting (HRM) as a novel method to detect Treg - specific demethylated region (TSDR); molecular DNA analysis of somatic mutation of exons 3, 6, 7 of FOXP3 in patients with lung cancer tissue and benign lesions and immunohistochemical (IHC) estimation of FOXP3 and TGF - ?1 in T - reg and cancer cells in formalin fixed paraffin embedded(FFPE)lung cancer tissue and benign lesions.Blood samples were collected from 30 patients with newly diagnosed, non small cell lung carcinoma and 30 patients with benign lesions.Patients were recruited at The Specialized Surgery Hospital and Oncology Teaching Hospital/Baghdad.Samples from 16 apparently healthy donors were used as control during the period from June 2012 to June 2013. The samples preservation with TRIzol reagent were subjected to molecular study including RNA and DNA extraction; reverse transcription; RT - PCR; HRM assay and DNA sequencing were done in the Molecular Oncology Unit/Guys and ST Thomas? s hospital/ King College/London/UK.The expression level of FOXP3 was high in 16(61.5%)in lung cancer cases.A significant difference was noticed between cancer cases from one side and benign lesions or healthy control on the other side p<0.05.Mean of FOXP3 expression(fold change)was significantly high(2.64±0.09)in cancer cases than in benign cases(1.32±0.04)and healthy control(1.38±0.06)with p<0.05.A significant association between high expression level and >60 age and squamous cell carcinoma in cancer cases P<0.05.The expression level of TGF - ? was high in 16(61.5%)in lung cancer cases.A significant difference was noticed between cancer cases from one side and benign lesions or healthy control on the other side p<0.05.Mean of TGF - ? expression (fold change) was significantly high (6.27±0.56) in cancer cases more than healthy control (2.87±0.09) with p<0.05.The association was significant between TGF - ? expression level (high and low) and age>60in cancer and benign groups (p<0.05), while no significant association with gender and cancer types were noticed. For FOXP3 mRNA expression in bronchial brush cells, the result showed no significant difference between the mean fold change of malignant(3.57 ± 0.06) and benign(4.02 ± 0.06) patients. The low expression was predominated both in cancer and benign cases. No significant differences were found between FOXP3 expression (high and low) and age; gender ; cancer types..According to FOXP3 T - reg specific demethylated region detection, results showed that the mean percentage of FOXP3demethylation in lung cancer patients (4.32 ± 0.04) was significantly higher than in benign lesions (3.22 ± 0.02) patients andhealthy controls(3.33±0.04). A positive correlation coefficient with high significant, was found in the group of cancer samples (R² = 0.6653;r = 0.69;P : 0.0017)on correlating percentage of Treg and demethylation of FOXP3 from one side with its m RNA expression on the other side.In benign lesion group was(R² = 0.5334;r= 0.59;p= 0.0027), While in the control group a positive correlation but a weak significance was found (R²= 0.2383;r=0.28;P=0.0437).FOXP3 gene sequencing revealed high frequency of missense mutations c.715 GTA>CTA : V 239 L in 17 (94.44%) in malignant sample and non cancerous cases7 (87.5%)without statistical differences. Missence mutations were also detected in exone 3 in 3(16.67%) cancer cases and in 1(12.5 %) benign lesion. No missense mutations could be detected in exon 6. Intronic mutations and silent mutation were variable in three exons without statistical differences. Many cases of adenocarcinoma have shown multiple mutations either of missense or Intronic types. Missense mutations of exon 7 were correlated significantly with an age of 60?years. Exon 3 mutations were significantly associated with adenocarcinoma. Positive FOXP3 Immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining in tumor cells was associated with high missense mutations frequency 10(55.55%) in exon7, while in exone 3 was 2(11.11%). Negative FOXP3 IHC staining in the tumor cells was associated with seven missense mutations in exon7 and one (5.55%) in exon 3, in addition 4(23.53%) cases of the exon 7 missense mutations were associated with negative FOXP3 expression in lymphocytes. The result showed that FOXP3 by using IHC staining was positive in 21(70%) of nuclei of cancer cells, and 22(73.3%)in Treg infiltrates. The positive cancer cells and Treg infiltrates associated significantly with age>60 (p<0.05).No significant association was found withgender, cancer type, while there is association with moderate differentiation compared to poorly differentiation (p<0.05). High frequence of FOXP3 expression score 3 and high intensity were appeared in nuclear cancer cells compared to benign lesions cells, while Treg infiltrates with score 1 and high intensity was high frequency in malignant and benign. The result showed that TGF - ?1 by using IHC staining was positive in 25(83.3%) in the cancer cells and 21(70%) in stromal cells. No significant difference was noted between positive expression in malignant and benign lesions p>0.05.No significant association was noticed between positive cells expression and age, gender, cancer type and differentiation p>0.05. High frequency of TGF - ?1 expression score 3 and high intensity in malignant cells and benign. Also stromal cell expression score 3 and high intensity were predominated in malignant and benign lesions. The high and moderate intensity expression was more frequent in matrix surrounding cancer cells compared to non cancerous.Total agreement and kappa coefficient between FOXP3 and TGF - ?1were poor in malignant and benign epithelial cells and stroma, while the perfect agreement was between expression of TGF - ?1in stromal cells
