كانت اربع تجارب مختبرية نفذت بهدف قياس اقل تركيز مثبط MIC من الـ NaCl في نم | The study imvolved implementation of five experiments, as well as the isolation, purification and classification of the bacteria (Azotobacter) and through the collection (16) soil samples from Rhaizosphre several crops from different regions of the province of Diyala. The four laboratory experiments carried out to measure less inhibitory concentration MIC in the growth and the number of bacteria Azotobacter and fixation of atmospheric nitrogen and produce GA3 from bacteria. Fifth experiment pot experiment to study the effect of two types of bacteria Azotobacter and interference with water drainage in the growth and yield plant wheat (Triticum aestevium L.) type (Aba 99).Isolate and diagnose the bacteria Azotobacter : The screening showed and diagnostic results that 11 isolation is a subsidiary of the type A.chroococcum, and 5 isolates belonging to the sensitization A.vinelandii.The isolates (A10, A2, A6, A8) was chosen from A.chroococcum and (A9, A5, A16, A14) was chosen from A.vinelandii was chosen as local isolate used in laboratory experiments based on the measurement of the soil salinity isolated ones, and selected isolates A10, A8, A5, A14 local isolate used as biofertility to the experience of pots because of their ability to nitrogen fixation by measuring the amount of nitrogen fixation in the third experiments. Laboratory experiments : The first and second experiment : Two trials were conducted Laboratory by using randomized complete block design (RCBD), each experiment included (120) experimental unit for each lap. Resulted from (8) isolates bacterial and five Trakizmn salt NaCl (0, 1, 3, 5, 7)% and (3) replicates, and incubated for three periods lap (1.3, 6) days to calculate the (MIC) in the growth and cell numbers bacterial. The results showed that the number of bacteria cells A.vinelandii rate increase all isolates A.chroococcum regardless of the concentrations of NaCl and extended incubation. Although isolates (A16, A14) isolated from soil salty surpassed isolates (A9, A5) isolated from soil is salty, and isolates (A8, A6) A.chroococcum of bacteria isolated from soil salty surpassed isolates (A10, A2) isolated from non - saline soil. The highest values of the numbers of bacteria are isolates A8, A16, amounting to (11.13, 11.0) * 104.cfu g - 1 dry soil. The increase in the concentration of NaCl led to a decrease significantly in the growth and the number of bacteria Azotobacter cells as the decline amounted to 17.13%, 45.52%, 59.50%, 76.99% at concentrations of 1%, 3%, 5%, 7%, respectively, and recorded the lowest numbers in the values of focus 7%, reaching 3.80 * 104. Cfu g - 1 dry soil. The growth and numbers of bacteria Azotobacter increased treatment effect when increasing the extended cuddling and all concentrations of NaCl. In a period of one lap on all isolates were grown in 1% NaCl concentration of the MIC for all isolates focus is 1%, while the two lap 3 days, all isolates growing focus recorded (3%, 5%) excluding A16 isolation of bacteria A.vinelandii was able to focus on growth until 7%, so the damper the MIC for this isolation focus is to concentrate 7%, while the rest of the isolates the MIC have 5%, which indicates that this isolation is more resistant to salinity of the isolates. The third experiment : The results showed that the rate of nitrogen fixation bacteria Azotobacter between (0.008 - 0.04%), but an increase in local concentrations led to a decline in moral decline as nitrogen fixation rate of 50.0%, 77.5%, 95.0%, 98.0% at concentrations of 1% salinity, 3%, 5%, 7% respectively. All isolated of bacteria Azotobacter can nitrogen fixation in the all salinity level. although A.chroococcum isolates isolated from non - saline soil surpassed isolates isolated from soil salty and all levels of salinity. Fourth experiment : A laboratory Conducted experiment by using a randomized complete block design (RCBD), included the experiment (12) experimental unit. Resulted from (4) bacterial isolates and three concentration of salt NaCl (0, 3, 5)% to calculate the MIC in the production of bacteria gibbereline Azotobacter. The results showed that the production rate of bacteria gibberline Azotobacter and all isolates ranged from 0.996 - 3.6 mg. L - 1, regardless of the concentration of added NaCl. And increasing salinity levels have led to a reduction in the production of Aljprlin, recorded A8 isolation from A.chroococcum isolated from soil salty higher values in the production of Aljprlin and all levels of salinity Experiemet of pots : The experiment was Carried out in the College of Agriculture, University of Diyala in the soil of a fusion sand using a design full sectors randomized (RCBD) in the winter season of the year (2013 - 2014). The experiment included on (60) experimental unit, resulting from the overlap between the four isolates bacterial treatment compared without the addition of bacterial vaccine and four concentrations of water drainage. The results showed that the addition of the vaccine bacterial gave a significant increase in plant height, dry weights of grouped shoot and root, leaf area, chlorophyll content, holds grains, protein and the concentration of elements of N and decrease the concentration of Na elements, Cl and proline. The addition of the vaccine bacterial and all isolates used led to a significant increase in plant height, dry weights of grouped shoot and root, leaf area, chlorophyll content, holds grains, protein and the concentration of elements of N, and decrease the concentration of Na elements, Cl and the preparation of bacteria Azotobacter in the soil compared to non - bacterial vaccine in addition to all the concentrations of water drainage. The isolates were isolated from soil salty gave an increase in traits higher than isolates isolated from non - saline soil.

The study included aspects of anatomy and the differences included the qualities of epidermis leaf and stem and stomata as well as study transverse sections of roots, stems, leaves and petiole and peduncle, fruits, Nutlets and seeds, also studied the system of Venation in the leaf where he studied the type of venation as well as study the direction of midrib, thickness, branching as well as the study of secondary veins, Arrangement, Aerioles and Veinlets that showed clear differences between species. The study showed that pollen grains in the species are Tricolporate in all species except H.bacciferum it contains four grooves and pollen grains of contain Psaudotricolporate found in all species except H.lasiocarpium was completely absent of false grooves have distinguished this species by this character, showed the study of pollen grain Psaudotetracolporate in species H.bacciferum only and did not appear in the rest of the species. the study noted that there are variations evident in the two axes equatorial and polar as well as in the length of the groove, width, the rate of the thickness of the wall of pollen grain, the rate of diameter germination aperture in all species. The study showed clear difference between species in dimensions of upper and lower epidermis leaf, as well as a study stomata index on the surfaces of upper and lower leaves where show that all species were the lower surface more than the upper surface in density of stomata and Trichomes were studied in all parts of plants under study it was observed that there is variation in the distribution of hair and their locations as well as the lengths of hairs and thickness of the walls and shape of apex and base. Studied species in pathway of photosynthesis showed that two species are C4 plants H.noeanum, H.suaveolens either species H.bacciferum, H.ramosissimum, H.lasiocarpium was belong of intermediate C3 - C4 species while the rest were from C3 plants after analysis qualities and similarities of these qualities were very important to isolate the species from each other because present of bundle sheath, thickness of leave in cross section, thickness of cuticle, thickness of chlorenchyma and collenchymas tissues, frequency of stomata and it distribution, the number of aerioles and veinlets density and size. Has also been studying the chemical content of alkaloids and found that there are six alkaloids isolated for the first time from inflorescences for plants belonging to the genus Heliotropium were isolated using the technique liquid chromatography for identified six alkaloids compounds (indicine and supinine, indicine - N - oxide, heleurine, heliotrine and lindelofidine), which included the study of compounds Alkaliods type, concentration and percentage and the pyrrolizidine alkaloids that have a biological importance of cure tumors and cancers. The study showed high percentage of heliotrine in four species of Heliotropium H.bacciferum, H.ramosissimum, H.europaeum, H.noeanum were (48%, 54%, 51%, 54%) while heleurine was high percentage in two species H.suaveolens, H.supinum were (33%, 56%), while the study showed lower percentage of indicine - N - oxide in three species H.ramosissimum, H.noeanum, H.supinum were (2%, 4%, 1%). The current research identified for the first time on the content of the Glycosides from inflorescences in eight species of Heliotropium from mid and north of Iraq. These species are H.bacciferum, H.ellipticum H.europaeum, H.lasiocarpium, H.noeanum, H.ramosissimum, H.suaveolens, H.supinum by using the liquid phase chromatography diagnosis of six compounds (heliotrope, isopyrrolidine, isorhamnetin, naringenin, quercetein, triterpene) results showed that plant species studied vary their content of these compounds, with absent of naringenin in the species H.noeanum while absent of triterpene in species H.ellipticum, H.europaeum, H.supinum. They also showed the studied differences in concentrations glycosides and percentage of species as shown H.europaeum, H.lasiocarpium, H.noeanum, H.ramosissimum, H.supinum, H.suaveolens lower concentrations (12 - 37 mg / ml) and percentages (1 - 9%) for quercetein compared to the rest of the species studied and the species H.europaeum, H.lasiocarpium, H.noeanum, , H.supinum, H.suaveolens were higher concentrations (99 - 442 mg / ml) and percentages (26 - 51 %) for heliotrope compared to other species. These results indicate the possibility of the adoption of the content glycosides for inflorescence criterion for the separation between species as well as use for medical purposes, especially pyrolizidine and isopyrrolidine important in the treatment of tumors and cancer. Studied the genetic variation through the study of random variation indicators RAPD for eight species of the genus Heliotropium, and using 14 primer showed variation between the species under study and were divided into two groups are : 1. Group A : Included only two species H.bacciferum, H.ramosissimum where the genetic distance between these two species (0.249) where the two species are similar in genetic traits and genetic content in the absence of many bands of the primers and appear in the other. 2. Group B : Included six species of the genus Heliotropium under study and was less genetic distance between H.ellipticum, H.europaeum where (0.105) and this is a great similarity in appearance bands between the two species in some of primers, then the following two species were also two other, where he was the closest genetic distance between the two species H.lasiocarpium, H.noeanum where (0.153) and was very close two species of H.ellipticum, H.europaeum were was (0.125). The data were analyzed and characteristics after into the program (NTSYSpc) to study morphological and anatomical, chemical, genetic and find a genetic distance inter - species on the basis of similarity So was isolated species to groups and based on a large number of morphological characteristics and anatomical, chemical, genetic possible distinguish species from each other and show the variation at the level of species belonging to the genus Heliotropium.

Different cross sections were shows variability cuticle thickness and epidermis, vascular cylinder tissues, collenchyma and sclerenchyma in different species studies. Variations were noticed among these tissues in the variable species.Thickness of cuticle epidermis of leaves were variable, and unifacial and bifacial mesophylls were noticed for the first time in some species studies. Some cross sections were obtained for scale leaves in Tamarix florida, Tamarix macrocarpa, Halocnemum strobilaceum, Haloxylon salicornicum and Salicornia herbacea. The anatomical characters of these plant parts has not been studied before for these species, at least for Iraqi specimens. The following species Launaea capitata, Oligomeris linifolia and Zilla spinosa were glabrous in all vegetative and reproductive organs. In time that the other species, Haloxylon salicornicum , Salicornia herbacea, Launaea mucronata, Reichardia tingitana, Strigosella grandiflora , Peganum harmala, Lycium barbarum, Tamarix florida and Tamarix macrocarpa were glabrous just in the vegetative parts, but hairy (pubescent) in the reproductive organs. The indumentums was variable in thickness within variable plant organs and parts, even on the lower and upper leaf surfaces. Different kinds of crystals were found and verified in the stems and leaves of different species. Size and density of these crystals were variable in variable locations of stem and leaf tissues.. Geographical distribution was investigated for all the studied species using Iraqi satellite maps by GIS program. Neotorularia torulosa was the most distributed species, and Rumex versicarius was the least distributed one. Schedules, schemes, illustrations and micrographs were presented for the different species studied in this work. Lastly results were discussed depending on available references and reasons.

Murr. It is an ornamental and medicinal plant not cultivated in Iraq. Seeds were sterilized by sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and cultuared on full strength Murashige and Skoog medium(1962) (MS). Nodal segments, apical shoots, and leaflets explants were taken from seedlings and cultured on (MS) medium enriched with different concentrations of Indol acetic acid (IAA), Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) Benzyl adenine (BA), and 6 - furfurylaminopurine (Kin.). The study include the effect of node orientation vertically and horizontally on induction of shoots formation. The effect of the interaction between IAA and BA, IAA and Kin. on shoot multiplication was investigated. Rooting was also studied after inclusion of IBA and IAA to full and half - strength (MS) medium. At acclimatization stage, different ratios of river sand and peat moss as agricultural media were tested and plantlets survival was recorded. DNA isolation was carried out from fresh and dry plantlet leaves as well as from seeds and Agarose Gel Electrophoresis (AGE) was done. Results showed that 1.5% sodium hypochlorite for 15 min was very effective for disinfecting and survival. The nodes cultured vertically exhibited relatively highest response as compared with apical shoots and leaflets culture. Supplying the culture medium with 1 mg/L. BA was effective for lateral shoot induction. The mean number of shoots obtained from nodes were 7.43 with a mean length 0.9 cm. Adding IAA at 0.1 and Kin. at 0.5, 1.0 or 1.5 mg/L. to the growth medium was effective for multiplication. Mean number of the developed shoots were 12.00, 14.20, 13.60 shoots/ explants with a mean length of 3.40, 2.60, 1.40 cm, respectively. Adding 0.1, 0.5, 1.0 mg/L IBA to the half strength MS medium was very effective in root formation which produced 45.0, 42.5, 40.0 roots, respectively, with mean length of 3.25, 3.80, 3.80 cm, respectively. Plantlets were acclimatized successfully achieving 100% survival after four weeks when transferred to agricultural medium consisted of river sand and peat moss at 1 : 1 v/v ratio. This study showed the ability of in vitro micropropagation of Spilanthes acmella (L.) Murr. DNA isolation from drying leaves was butter than fresh leaves with the precense of liquid nitrogen.

Four stations were selected for sample collections over the distance of 25 km. Two stations were in Tigris river and two were in the treatment unit. The first selected station was close to the old water purification unit in Tikrit - city. The second station was selected at the treatment unit in AL - Dubaee before the mechanical treatment unit. The third station was selected at the treatment unit after the biological treatment. The fourth station was selected in Tigris river about ten km south of the treatment unit at AL - Dijla town. The study involved an investigation of some physical, chemical and biological aspects of Tigris river and the residence waste discharges to the river. This included air and water temperature, conductivity, PH, dissolved oxygen, BOD, Turbidity, total hardness, calcium and magnesium hardness, chloride, total alkalinity, nutrients (i.e., phosphate, nitrite, silica) , and the concentrations of heavy metals (i.e., cadmium and cupper). The biological factor included the total bacteria counts cultured on nutrient agar. Results of the study clarify the close relation between air and water temperature which varied (8.5 - 36) C0 and (9 - 27) C0 respectively. Conductivity values were relatively high and ranged (128 - 3530) microsemens/cm. River water almost was alkaline during the period of the study. PH values of the first and fourth stations were close in the river, although a value of 6.12 was recovered at station on during May. In all stations, PH values ranged (8.8 - 6.12). River water has a good ventilation, dissolved oxygen values ranges (8 - 11) mg/L at the first and the fourth stations, while these values were (0.1 - 1.34) mg/L at the second and third stations. Mean dissolved oxygen values pointed out the availability of good oxygen concentration for the continuity of living organisms which ranged (0.3 - 5.8) mg/L in Tigris river, while BOD values at the stations second and third were high and ranged (5.6 - 131.2) mg/L. Turbidity was high during April at the stations one and four and ranged (2.03 - 788) NTU in all stations. Total hardness in Tigris river was slightly low - very hardness and ranged (120 - 360) mg/L at the first and fourth stations, while these values were (180 - 480) mg/L at stations two and three. The high total hardness values coincided with the high conductivity values. Concentrations of calcium ions responsible on the calcium hardness ranged (211.4 - 120.7) mg/ L was higher than magnesium ions responsible for magnesium hardness range (5 - 265) mg/L.Records of chloride ions ranged (14.16 - 169.99) mg/L at all stations. However, chloride values at stations first and fourth were among the allowed world values and ranged (14.16 - 42.48) mg/L.Alkalinity values were due to the carbonate and bicarbonate and ranged (35 - 725) mg/L.phosphate values ranged (0.168 - 25.2) µg phosphor atom - phosphate/L. Low nutrient values recorded in Tigris river, while the highest values recorded at second station (treatment unit).Nitrite values fluctuated at all stations and ranged (0.078 - 14.778) µg Nitrogen atom - Nitrite /L. Silica values ranged (648 - 5961.6) µg silicon atom - silica /L. Heavy metals values (Cadmium and Cupper) clarify that, Cadmium were (un sensible), except one value (0.008) mg/L that recorded at November, and un sensible for Cupper. Results of the statistical analyses of all involved factors showed significant differences at stations first and second, and between the first and third stations as well as the fourth station. While there was no significant differences between the second and fourth stations. And no significant differences between stations first and fourth.Total bacterial counts indicated high bacterial counts, and the average of total bacterial count ranged (2.605X105, 5.44X108, 2.265X108, 2.385X105) / ml at the four stations respectively, so the Tigris river considered pollutant - very pollutant.

Abstract: تم في هذه الدراسة البحث عن امكانية ايجاد مؤشرات وراثية ترتبط بمؤشرات فسلجية وذلك من خلال الدراسة على مستويين : ا - المستوى الفسلجي : زراعة صنفين من الحنطة الناعمةL Triticum aestivum في حقول كلية الزراعة/ جامعة تكريت لموسم النمو 2010 - 2011، وذلك بزراعة بذو | This study was conducted to investigate a genetic marker linked to physiological marker through a design an outdoor experiment which includes two parts : - 1 - Physiological part : Included planting two cultivars of soft wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) in the fields of the college of Agriculture, university of Tikrit, during growth season (2010 - 2011). The stage of work had been done by cultivated the seeds of two cultivars of wheat (Sham - 6, Abu - Ghraib) in pots, when they reached the stage of (4 - 5) leaves it had been exposed to two dryness periods 7 and 10 days. It spread with growth regulator Indole Acetic Acid (IAA) (150 ppm) to know which type is more resistance for dryness through estimation of proline concentration as a physiological marker and to indicate the effect of IAA to reduce the dryness effect in some features of growth physiological function and yield component according to complete Randomize Design (CRD). Some markers of drought tolerance have been estimated including : proline content, chlorophyll concentration and the degree of membrane stability then plants were left for harvesting period. The results of the outdoor experiment were : 1 - Exposure the plants to dehydration periods during their growth caused reducing of the most studied characters (leaf area, plant height, tillers number, concentration of chlorophyll A and B and the total chlorophyll), while there was an increase in the content of the proline and the injury index of plasma membrane. 2 - Some characteristic did not showed effect by drought periods (dry weight of plant, number of days of flowering, spikes number, spike length, number of grains/ spike and weight of 1000 grains).3 - Sham - 6 cultivar was superior than Abu Ghraib - 3 in three characteristic (number of days of flowering, leaf area, weight of 1000 grains), while Abu Ghraib - 3 cultivar was superior in the grains number /spike than sham - 6 cultivar.4 - The concentration of IAA (150 ppm) had a different effect. It had a positive effect in the decrease drought for some characteristic (proline content, injury index of plasma membrane, leaf area, plant height, dry weight, spike number and grains yield).2 - Genetic part : DNA has been isolated from fresh leaves of two types of wheat, arrange yields of DNA were in the range of (40 - 150) micro gram per 1.5 gram of plant leaves, and the purity ranged between (1.2 - 1.7). The reaction PCR was done by using 11 primer of the Random Amplified Polymorphism DNA (RAPD) in addition to two pair of specific primer to detect the genes which are responsible for coding of two enzymes which involved in anabolism and catabolism of proline. The results obtained are as follows : - 1 - Five primer of RAPD did not appear any binding site (OPA - 18, OPL - 20, OPA - 11, OPQ - 17 and OPH - 14).2 - Six primer of RAPD have appeared main and monomorphic bands (OPO - 16, OPH - 07, OPN - 16, OPM - 20, OPJ - 13 and OPQ - 06), in addition to the absent of the other bands from some treatments. 3 - The two pair of specific primer have given three monomorphic bands with different molecules weight.4 - The primer (OPH - 07) has appeared a unique band with molecular weight (1670) pb for Sham - 6 cultivar during second drought period (10 days without hormone). These results obtained from this study were identical with physiological part in the ability of both types to drought tolerance

Abstract: تناولت الدراسة الحالية, دراسة مظهرية وتشريحية مقارنة لـ(10) انواع تعود لـ(9) اجناس من العائلة المركبة Asteraceae (Compositae) في العراق, كما وتبعت الاجناس قيد الدراسة الى عشيرتين Tribes : العشيرة الاولى : (Cardueae), وقد ضمت الانواع : (Arctium tomentosum, Ca | The current study dealt with the morphological and anatomical aspect that compared the (10) Species that followed (9) genera, These Species followed the family Compositae (Asteraceae) in Iraq. It also divided the genera under study to two tribes. The first tribe : (Cardueae), It included the Species : (Arctium tomentosum, Carlina vulgaris, Chardinia orientales, Cnicus benedictus and Notobasis syriaca). The second tribe : (Lactuceae), It included the Species : (Geropogon glabrum, Geropogon hybridus, Hedypnois cretica, Koelpinia linearis and Urospermum pecroides). The morphological study involved the roots according to the characteristics, the form and dimensions (the length and the diameter), the study of the stem by the character, the color and the indumentums, also the dimension (the high and diameter) it resulted good characteristics, enabled us to use it in isolation of the types. It is also discussed the leaf on the based of the quantifier and qualifier that involved the form of the leaf and the form of the peak and the base, the character of the blade margin and the epidermis. The study also high lighted the dimension of the blade (the length and the width), The morphological characteristics of the leaves have given a great Taxonomical value rather than the root and the stem. It also mentioned in this study the Inflorescences in general : the form and the diameter of the receptacle, the dimension of the inflorescence (length and width), and the characteristics of the phyllaries, the study of Achenes, the length of the beak, the character of the filaments that connected by the peak of the beak. The proper morphological characters of the Inflorescences made the contrastive among the characteristics of the Inflorescence in unique type. This great advantage is useful in the classification of the species. The anatomical study contains the study of the dermal tissue system that belong to the types under study, specially the stem, the leaf. It make clear the differences among the characters of the epidermis cells for the stem and the leaf (the upper and lower epidermises), It tackled the study of the Stomata at the leaf and the stem, and measure of the frequency at these members. It also discussed the fundamental and vascular tissue system of the root, the stem and the leaf through the study of their characteristics of the transversal sector. It is also studied the vascular bundles according to the thickness of the regions belonged to the xylem and phloem; the number of the xylem arms in each bundle and the number of the vascular elements in one xylem arm. The study involves the system of the veins into the leaf blade or that called (Venation), and the thickness of the veins and its course, the behavior of the vein's ends and the method of its contact with the leaf margin. In addition, the study dealt with the method of the joining veins the secondary by the primary and the third veins by the secondary. Thus, the study make clear the considerable advantages that distinguish the types each other. It is observed the characteristics of the leaf's venation is a constant character that depends upon to classify the species. At end of the study, It is used the results of the morphological and anatomical characteristics in comparison of the two tribes; Cardueae and Lactuceae that the studied species followed.

Abstract: This study examined the current survey of the vascular plants of dicotyledon wild during the study period (2013 - 2012) In the area of Sudoor - Diyala, the study was based on the 774 samples of plants with their duplicates as collected by The Researcher. All of these collections have been cacched in the Iraqi herbariums. To be specific there are 186 species which relate to 133 genus and 43 families. All these, have been scientifically classified with thier local and common Iraqi or arabic names.Besides, their duration and economic importance (medical, toxic, nutritional or forage, artificial, harmful, aromatic, ornamental, fuel plants or other uses). Moreover, their geographical distribution in the districts of Iraq and thier geographical existence in neighboring countries to Iraq (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Turkey, Iran, Syria and Jordan) , and the study results statistics have shown that the vast majority of the collected species are Herbal Plants totalling 164 species out of 179 species in all. This, in fact, can be ascribed to the impossibility of txonomizing 7 plants species for the incapacity to obtain their flowers or fruits. As for the shrub species it amounts to 13 species where as the number of woody species of trees is 2 only. As for the economic plants and their significance, let s mention the fact that the number of plants used as forage amounts to 86 species, the medical plants are 83 species, the toxic plants fall into 43 species, the ornamental plants are 23 species, the industrial plants are 14 species, the weed plants are 11 species, the aromatic plants are of 6 species, and the plants used as fuel are of 4 species. It also appears that the majority of the plant in the area of study is widespread in the various districts of Iraq, i.e. the number of such plants amounts to 110 species, however, there are plants of medium spread in the districts of Iraq, i.e. the number of such plants amountsto 54 species. There still are some plants whose geographic distribution has no been identified in the districts of Iraq and their number is 15 species, and as for their geographic extension into the neighboring Countries, these plants amount to 116 species in Saudi Arabia, 84 species in Turkey, 81 species in Iran, 79 species in Kuwait, 69 species in Syria and 26 species in Jordan. Furthermore, the species of plants collected perviously and have not been found during the period of study amount to 32 species and these relate to 13 families. The shrinkage of the vegetation cover in the area of Sudoor is attributed mainly to the drought conditions and the wind soil erosion which the area has undergone in the previous years. Besides, there are some other reasons including the overgrazing, the expansion of agriculture and the unstudied projects of construction, which have resulted in the disappearance of natural plants in the area.

The two experiments were conducted at the field of College of Agriculture/Al - Qadisiya University during the period from 31/10/2012 to 14/3/2013. For the field experiment, dry and fresh leaves of Eucalyptus were used at the rate of 0, 2, 3, or 6 g dry leaves/Kg soil or at the rate of 0, 4, 8, or 12g fresh leaves/kg soil. Plant height, changes in height during plant life time - course, number of branches, number of flowers, and flower diameter were measured. In addition, chlorophyll content in leaves, anthocyanin in petals, dry weight, nitrogen percent, potassium and phosphorous content in leaves were also determined. For the laboratory experiment, ethanol extract, oil, terpenes, alkaloid, and phenols extracted from Eucalyptus leaves at different concentrations were used. Seed germination, coefficient velocity of germination, plumule and radical length, sugar, protein, melanodialdehyde, glutathione and proline content were evaluated. The results were as follow : 1. Ethanolic extract was negatively affect the percent and coefficient velocity of germination in addition to plumule and radicle length. The reduction in these parameters was greater at the highest concentration of the extract, especially in Calendula officinalis. 2. Treatment with oil extracted from Eucalyptus leaves caused a significant reduction in percent and coefficient velocity of germination, plumule and radical length. 3. Terpenes, alkaloids or phenols treatments at different concentrations resulted in significant reduction in percent and coefficient velocity of germination, plumule and radical length. The reduction was increased as the concentration of the treatments increased. 4. Plant height decreased significantly due to the treatment with dry or fresh Eucalyptus leaves, the reduction in plant height increased as the concentration of the treatment increases in all plants except Asteriscus graveolens plant which showed that the small concentrations of both treatments. It was close to ward in an increase in plant height. 5. Number of branches also significantly decreased when ornamental plants treated with dry or fresh Eucalyptus leaves; the Calendula officinalis plant was the most affected. 6. For the changes in ornamental plants height, as a result of treatment with dry or fresh leaves of Eucalyptus, during life time - course, it was clear the growth curve was close to the S - shape growth curve with obvious significant differences for most treatments compare to control. 7. Dry weight percent was significantly affected in all ornamental plants when they treated with dry or fresh Eucalyptus leaves, If decreased with the concentration of the treatments increased. 8. It was obvious that treatment with dry or fresh Eucalyptus leaves resulted in significant reduction in flower number and flower diameter. Number of flowers decreased as the concentration of the treatments increased. on the other hand, flower was diameter increased as the concentration of the treatments increased, but in both cases it was less than the control. All one obvious that reducing significant in flower diameter, It was reducing great in low levels. 9. Chlorophyll content was also decreased in leaves, while anthocyanin content in petals was increased when the ornamental plants treated with dry or fresh Eucalyptus leaves. 10. Nirogen percent, phosphorus and potassium content in leaves of the four ornamentals decreased when they treated with dry or fresh Eucalyptus leaves. 11. Using terpenes, alkaloids and phenols caused significant increase in sugar content in leaves of the ornamentals, reaching its highest values at the highest concentration of the terpenes. For protein content, it was gradually decreased as the terpens, alkaloids and phenols concentrations increased in Calendula officinalis. In Tagetes patula, protein content was noticeably increased with the increasing in concentrations of the treatments. 12. Malondialdehyde, glutathione and proline content increased significantly in Calendula officinalis and Tagetes patula plants when they treated with terpenes, alkaloids or phenols. 13. Interaction between treatments concentrations and kind of plants had significant effect on all parameters measured.

Abstract: “The current research dealed with fourteen taxa belonging to the genus Ranunculus L., Family Ranunculaceae that grown in Iraq. The study included the gross general morphological and micromorphological characters, the Pollen grains also were studied and the chemical compounds (Flavonoids), Ecological and geographical distribution and taxonomic treatment have been done. Also botanical key was puted to separate the Taxa”.“General survey for the Phytogeographical districts where the taxa spread in, and the result was a large crowds of samples, and new locations of taxa distribution were recorded. The specimens in the Iraqi herbaria were studied after ensuring that it was correctly identified”. “Comparative morphological study was undertaken to all plants parts of taxa including the roots, leaves, stipules, flowering parts and fruiting parts. Charts, diagrams, tables were drawn and accompanying with natural images for different morphological characteristics, as well as the field images that are important for the study. This study showed that all the taxa of the genus were herbs that are annual or perennial. There was agreat important for the roots, stems and there Indumentum, the presence orabsence of stipules, shape and size and margin of basal leaves and cauline leaves and leafy bract, the shape of sepals and their numbers and their Indumentum, the numbers and shape of Petals and their colors, the number of Stamens and the colors of Anthers, the shape of ovary and their indumentum, presence or absence of style as it was very useful for the taxonomic identification and separation of the studied taxa. As well as the fruiting parts including the length of fruiting peduncle, the fruiting receptacle, the fruiting head and its shapes and their dimensions, the number of Achene Fruitlets and their sizes, colors and Beak shape. Also the surface configuration of the fruitlets Surface has been studied by (SEM) as it wae either hairy or tuberculate - hairy or Transversely rugose or muricate or reticulate or reticulate - minutly rugose or granular or granular - hairy or granular - hairy tuberculate or spinulose”.“The study of the micro - morphological characters of hairs, leaves epidermal cells and the stomatal complex, have a taxonomic importance of supporting the morphological characters in separation and identification of the genus taxa”.“The study show that the pollen grains have a taxonomic importance because of their difference in shape, dimensions, the wall thickness and their ornamentation. It was either apolar which was spheroidal and pantoporate, or isopolar which has different shapes in the equatorial view it was spheroidal, subprolate and oblate - spheroidal, it was either 3 - colpate, 4 - colpate or 5 - colpat.the colpate where either zonocolpate or syncolpate in the form of parasyncolpate. The ornamentation were verucate, echinateand scabrate”. “The chemical study also has an importance in separation of the genus taxa, six flavonoid compounds were diagnosed by using” HPLC wich are Kaempferol, Vitexin, Orientin, Quercetin, Iso - vitexin and Iso - orientin. According to the presence or absence of those structures cluster analysis where done for the results of the flavonoid compounds and the taxa where divided into groups that reveal the chemical relationships between them.dendogram where performed which also show the chemical relationships between the taxa by using UPGMA method and NTSYS program issue 21. the study shows that the presence and distribution of those compounds vary according to the variation in the plant distribution the study shows that some of the taxa have “the same compounds which enhance its belonging to the Ranunculus genus”. “Through field surveys and information installed on the herbarium samples, the taxa where distributed on their growth areas, and maps have been drawn for taxa distribution in the Iraqi natural geographical. Most of the taxa were distributed in N. and N.E of Iraq regions districts especially in MAM, MSU, MRO, and FBF districts. We notice that MSU district has a great number of the plants under the study as we found there are all the taxa accept one”. This study helps to detect distribution areas for some taxa that have been not mentioned in the Iraqi flora or other records which are R.kotschyi and R.trichophyllus var.trichophyllus. Also the study records distribution for the new species R.chius in MAM district which hasn't been mentioned in the Iraqi flora in this district before. Finally all the taxa were classified and the botanical key was done to separate them.

وقد صممت الدراسة الحالية لفحص عينات للحليب الخام التي جمعت | Milk is subjected to various physical, chemical and biological pollutants duo to producing, transporting and marketing processes such as certain heavy metals, pH, temperature and bacteria. The current study was designed to examine fresh milk samples were collected randomelly at early morning from six different locations at a rate of once each month during study period which commenced in October 2013 and ended in march 2014 and powder milk brands which were examined again for six months as in case of fresh milk where these milk brands were collected from local markets each month. The results of heavy metals showed that : • The investigation of Lead content in raw milk revealed that the highest mean value (1.801±0.311 ppm) was scored in Abo - Ghraib sample and the lowest mean value (0.941±0.104 ppm) was observed in Ghazaliya sample. For the Cadmium content in raw milk that the highest mean value (1.532±0.124 ppm) was found in Abo - Ghraib sample and the lowest mean value (0.063±0.044 ppm) was found in Fal'loga. The Copper content in raw milk also investigated and resulted the highest mean value was (0.931±0.092 ppm) in Azizia milk sample and almost similar value (0.931±0.301 ppm) was found in Madain sample while the lowest mean value was (0.308±0.029 ppm) in Fal'loiga sample. The highest mean value of Potassium in raw milk was recorded in two samples in Azizia (9718.8±246.6 ppm) and (9718.3±482.2 ppm) in Abo - Ghraib but the lowest mean value (4156.3±268.3 ppm) was recorded in Essaouira. Regarding Sodium content in raw milk, the results have found that the highest mean value was (2968.8±312.2 ppm) in Essaouira sample while the lowest mean value was (1432.5±156.8 ppm) in Abo - Ghraib. The Chloride content in raw milk samples, the highest mean value was (3053.0±128.6 ppm) recorded in Fal'loga sample and the lowest mean value was (639.0±198.4 ppm) was found in Azizia sample. Analysis of variance of these data showed significant effects (P?0.001) of both sampling sites and collecting months on milk (pb, Cd, K, Na and Cl) contents while analysis of variance of these data reveals no significant impact of sites on milk Cu content (P> 0.05) where no differences were observed between mean value of different collecting sites but shows highly significant (P? 0.001) effects of collecting months.• While powder milk has shown that the highest mean values of Lead (1.225±0.052 ppm) were found in Al - Mudhish brand and the lowest mean value (0.088±0.002 ppm) was detected in Anchor. The highest mean Cd value was (0.184±0.005 ppm) in Nido brand and the lowest mean value was (0.069±0.003 ppm) in Altunsa sample. While the highest mean value of Copper was (1.656±0.254 ppm) in Dielac powder brand and Anchor milk brand had the lowest copper mean value which was (0.767±0.014 ppm). The concentration of Potassium was (9625.0±462.9 ppm) which is the highest recorded in Dielac milk sample and the lowest mean value (3356.8±225.6 ppm) was found in Al - Marai milk sample. While the highest average of Sodium was (2625.0±342.6 ppm) scord in Dielac brand and the lowest average was (1745.0±338.4 ppm) recorded in Al - Marai sample. The highest mean value of Chloride (193.0±41.0 ppm) was recorded in Nido milk brand and the lowest mean value (122.7±22.2 ppm) was found in Altunsa milk sample. However, analysis of variance shows significant differences (P?0.001) between examined milk brands while no such differences were found between these brands (P>0.05) regarding collecting months. From the above results, it seems that the highest content of (Pb, Cd and Cu) are higher than those of standards of the International Dairy Federation (IDF) while contents of (K, Na and Cl) are within the standard requirement according to National Research Council (NRC).Microbial tests of raw milk samples were positive for bacterial growth, as different bacterial species were observed such as Lactobacilli spp. 63.8%, Streptococcus spp. 61.1%, Staphylococcus aureus 44.4%, Escheritia coli 88.8%, Bacillus spp. 72.2%, Salmonella typhi 72.2%, Staphylococcus epidermidis 30.5%, Pseudomonas spp. 47.2%, Micrococcus spp 27.7%, Clostiridia spp. 66.6%, Enterococci spp. 11.1% and K. pneumonia 75% from bacterial contamination of raw milk samples. However, only (11.1%) of the total collected samples of raw milk were suitable for human consumption and (88.9%) unsuitable, indicating that the source of infection or contamination of milk may be due to the animal health, human handler and the environmental factors, e.g., contaminated vessels, polluted water, flies and dust, etc… Obviously, bacterial contamination test of powder milk samples was carried out and negative results were obtained. However, it seems clearly that the opportunity of finding bacterial contamination in powder milk samples may be very rare since milk powder is produced in well designed and modern techniques. Nevertheless, a single bacterial contamination test has indicated to a positive growth of Staphylococcus aureus colonies.

Abstract: اجريت الدراسة في كل من مزرعة العرهون التابعة لقسم وقاية النبات - كلية الزراعة ومختبرات قسم علوم الحياة - كلية التربية للعلوم الصرفة في جامعة تكريت خلال المدة 1/9/2013 - 10/6/2014 تضمنت دراستين الاولى تم فيها تقدير تاثير اضافات متنوعة من المدعمات الكاربو | The study was conducted in each of the Al - Mushroom farm in Department of plant protection, College of Agriculture and the laboratories of Biology Department - College of Education for Pure Science at the University of Tikrit for a duration of 1/9/2013 to June 2014. The first studies were included the adding of carbon, nitrogen and other additives at casing period on productivity, quality characteristics and chemical composition of Agaricus bisporus mushroom. The results showed significant increased (p<0.05) in total production and biological efficiency when adding carbon supplement at 1% of starch and became 26.41 kg/m2 and 88.03% respectively, also with nitrogen supplement at 1% from Erbil feed (EF) that’s became at 23.20 kg/m2 and 77.33% respectively, compared with the same value in control group which at 21.68 kg/m2 and 72.26% respectively. Also both treatments were recorded earlier in production at 15 and 16 days after casing compared with 18 days in a control, while the qualitative characterizes has been the treatment of 3% from methionine the highest content of total antioxidants and became at 1975 µg/g dry weight compared to the 1572 µg/g dry weight in the control treatment, and the highest protein content was became at 40.32% in treatment of 1% of LB compared with 22.36% of their content in the control treatment. The treatment of 1% of EF was recorder as higher content from mineral of calcium, magnesium and iron at 390, 2574, 50.74 µg/g dry weight compared to the content in the control group at 290, 1683 and 37.64 µg/g respectively, and the treatment of sodium selenite 5% was recordes a higher content of selenium at 5.00 µg/g compared to the control treatment which at 4.00 µg/g dry weight. The treatment of EF also recorded a higher copper content at 108.60 µg/g dry weight compared to the control treatment which at 37.00 µg/g. The other study was apply to assessment the effects of replacing casein at 5, 10 and 15% by the Agaricus bisporus product from the treatments with starch and multi - vitamin and EF on some growth and physiological parameters in female rats feding for 28 days. The results showed that the presence of mushroom in food has caused a significant decline in weight. The present of mushroom powder at 5% in rats feed lead to significant increasing in hemoglobin and total account of RBC resulting in 12.53 and 6.36× 106 cell/mm3, 13.13 and 7.06× 106 cell/mm3, 7.36× 106 cell/mm3 for starch, multivitamins and EF, respectively, compared to 12.25 and 6.8× 106 cell/mm3, respectively. As well as the significant increased in the total counts of white blood cells that were at 5.50, 5.20 and 5.00 x 103 cells/mm3, respectively, with the starch, and at 5.70, 5.40 and 5.20 x 103 cells/mm3, respectively, with multivitamins and at 5.90, 5.50 and 5.40 x 103 cells/mm3, respectively, for the EF group compared with the control group were at 5.15 x 103 cell/mm3. also was significant increased in differential WBCs as lymphocytes with increasing the replacing percentage for treatments above. Also due the replace of casein by mushroom on proportions referred to in the above change in blood biochemicals parameters which significant decreased in urea, total cholesterol, triglycerides and low density lipoproteins and increase the concentration of high density lipoproteins, as well as reduced the activity of enzymes Alanine amino transferase (AST), Aspartic amino transferase (ALT) and Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) with increasing the percentage of replacing. As for the effect of replacing the same proportions of the mushroom instead of casein on growth and physiological characteristics of female rats with experimental diabetes induced by Alloxan and fed for 17 days. The results showed that the development of diabetes trial led to a reduction in the rate of animal weights and an increase in the relative weight of internal organs such as the heart, liver, spleen, pancreas and kidneys of infected sugar group, and became at 0.46, 4.39, 0.60, 0.46 and 1.19 g/100 g respectively when compared with the control animals, at 4.07, 0.42, 0.39, 0.23 and 1.04 g/100 g, respectively. And decreased of red blood cells that were at 5.93 x 106 cells/mm3, respectively, for the group affected by diabetes, while at 7.36 x 106 cells/mm3 respectively the healthy control group. And decreased WBCs in the infected animals with diabetes trial and became at 4.83 x 106 cells/mm3 compared with the healthy control group which at 7.03 x 103 cells/mm3. Also there was caused in significant increased in glucose concentration, which was on the first, 7th, 14th, and 17th days at 428, 405, 431.60 and 432.20 mg/100 ml respectively, in comparison with a control without diabetis that was at 123.33, 124.66, 126.33 and 125.33 mg/100 ml, respectively. Further to increased concentrations of urea, cholesterol, triglycerides and low density lipoproteins and a decrease in the values of high density lipoproteins also, increased the values of enzymes activity of each Alanine amino transferase(ALT), Aspartic amino transferase (AST) and Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) compared with the non - diabetic infected control group. That feeding female rats of experimental diabetes on the replacement rates of the mushroom instead of casein in their diet has led to the significant decline of the weight and relative weight of internal organs such as the heart, liver, spleen, pancreas and kidneys compared with animals infected with the induced diabetes with increasing rates of substitution. The results also showed that increased in total counts of red and white blood cells that was at 6.40 x 106 cell/mm3 and 5.00 x 103 cell/mm3 respectively when replacing 5% casein from mushroom compared to the infected control group were at 5.93 x 106 cell/mm3 and 4.83 x 103 cell/mm3 respectively. The substitution of casein with 5, 10 and 15% from mushroom was caused to significantly lower of glucose values to became 273.40, 251.60 and 302 mg/100 ml compared with control group infected which at 432.20 mg/100 ml. Also, because of the found of mushroom in the food was caused a changed in the biochemical blood, which significantly reduced the concentration of urea, total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL and increase the concentration of HDL. As well as significantly reduced the enzymes (AST), (ALT) and (ALP) activity with the replacement rate increase compared with values in the animals infected with diabetes induced by Alloxan. The results concluded that the possibilty of use starch and EF at 1% for the commercial mushroom production. Mushroom also can be used as a food for lowering blood glucose, cholesterol, triglyseride, LDL and liver enzymes with increase in HDL for the people suffered from diabetes, obesity and heart diseases.

Tribulus terrestris L.Some of these species have been anatomically investigated for the first time.Anatomical characters might be useful for plant biologist for the identification of important wild plants as an additional character at global level. Comparative anatomical characters were used; such as characteristics of ordinary epidermal cells of stems and leaves and stomatal complexes. The epidermis possesses number of important diagnostic character that offer valuable clues for identification, like size, shape, in addition to indumentum of both stems and leaves. Venation system was investigated and compared. Cross sections of root were useful taxonomically especially the thickness of epidermis, cortex, phloem and xylem. The study observed presence of sclerenchyma tissues in the root cortex of some species. Cross sectioning of stems and petioles were also studied. Epidermis, cortex, pericycle, vascular bundle shapes and numbers, pith characters, presence of crystals and tannin filled cells were useful aid in distinguishing species. Vertical sections of leaf blades, shape and number of vascular bundles, thickness of palisade and spongy layers and other mesophyll characters were important taxonomically.ccording to some of these characters, species were divided into groups. This study concluded the presence of variations in characters and these were presented for the first time comparatively, so that, the anatomical characters were a good support to the exomorphological characters in the studied species. Field photographs of the different studied plants and sections of organs were put in addition to numerous tables in this work. The above results were discussed scientifically regarding mainly the environmental factors.

Abstract: تضمنت الدراسة الحالية عزل وتشخيص طحالب كبيرة من بيئتين مائيتين محليتين مختلفتين. تم عزل ثلاث طحالب كبيرة هي Cladophora glomerata (N) وEnteromorpha rafsii من منطقه بحر النجف في محافظة النجف, في حين عزل Cladophora glomerata (R) من احد مبازل منطقة الراشدية ش | The present study includes isolation and identification of Macro - algae from two different environmental water bodies. Three Macro - algae were isolated, Cladophora glomerata (N) and Enteromorpha ralfsii from Baher Al - Najaf region in Holy Najaf city. In addition, C. glomerata (R) was isolated from Al - Rashdiya, north of Baghdad.Phytopathogenic fungi from soil and some infected fruits were also isolated. They were identified as Pythium ultimum and Rhizoctonia solani.Water and ethanol were used to extract each algae to evaluate their antifungal activity against isolated phytopathogenic fungi. Different concentrations of these algal extracts had been prepared which are (10, 25 and 50) mg/ml and the antagonistic activity against the isolated phytopathogenic fungi were evaluated, the hot and cold water extracts did not show any antagonistic activity against fungi. However, all these extracts were ignored in the future work for this study. Furthermore, the hot ethanolic extract was more efficient than these of cold ethanolic extracts. Results have been shown that there were significant differences when macro - algal ethanolic extract were used.C. glomerata (R), which isolated from Al - Rashdiya, was more efficient against tested fungi than the same alga what isolated from Baher Al - Najaf region. However, E. ralfsii extract was more efficient against tested fungi than C. glomerata (N). Percentage of inhibition against P. ultimum when hot ethanolic extract of E. ralfsii, C. glomerata(R) and C. glomerata(N) were (88.8, 83.3 and 63.3) respectively. However, results for cold ethanolic extract of the same algae were (63.3, 52.2 and 32.2) respectively when 50 mg/ml of algal extracts were used.Percentage of inhibition against R. solani when hot ethanolic extract of E. ralfsii, C.glomerata (R) and C.glomerata(N) were (94.4, 100 and 78.8) respectively. However, results for cold ethanolic extract of the same algae were (66.6, 64.4 and 48.8) respectively when 50 mg/ml was used. According to the difference in biological activities against those phytopathogenic fungi caused by the same species of macro - algae or different genera from different environments. Due to difference in biological activity of the same macro - algae species Physiochemical parameter for each environments obtained such as air and water temperature, Turbidity (NTU), Electrical Conductivity(EC)and Salinity%, Water pH, CA+2 concentration, Mg+2 concentration, Total Hardness and Total Alkalinity. Results indicated that soaked Cucumis sativus and Capsicum annum seeds in cold and hot ethanolic macro - algae extracts of (E. ralfsii, C. glomerata (R) and C.glomerata (N) for 24 hours were able to protect seed germination that have been grown in a Petri dish contaminated with P. ultimum and R. solani comparing with control. In addition, results indicated that spraying C. sativus and C. annum seedling with these algal extracts within two weeks old again protects these seedlings from the same phytopathogenic fungi either before or after 24 hr. However, results indicated that adding the algal extracts within two months age to the C. sativus and C. annum plants again protects these plants from the same phytopathogenic fungi comparing with control and fungicide treatment. Moreover, results indicated that the active chemical compounds in E. ralfsii was Tannins, Saponins and Flavonoids. While C. glomerata was contained Tannins, Saponins, Alkaloid and Phenols. Results indicated that both hot crud methanolic extract of C. glomerata (R) and E. ralfsii have a lot of active chemical compounds against micro - organisms by using the GC - Mass Spectrometry technology.
