Abstract: This study investigates The Effect of the Two Guidance Approaches "Guided Visualization" and "Re - imagination" in Reducing Daydreaming in the students of intermediate stage. It can be achieved through investigating the following hypotheses : ? There is no statistically significant difference on the level 5.05 between the averages of the scores of the students of the three groups : the first experimental group, the second experimental group, and the control group after the application of assessment instrument as in the following? There is no statistically significant difference between the averages of the scores of the students of the three groups : the first experimental group on which the guided visualization approach is applied; the second experimental group on which re - imagination approach was applied; and the control group which has never been exposed to guidance approach to assess daydreaming during the posttest.? There is no statistically significant difference between the averages of the scores of the pretest and posttest in the first experimental group on which guided visualization approach is applied in assessing daydreaming.? There is no statistically significant difference between the averages of the scores of the pretest and posttest in the second experimental group on which re - imagination approach is applied in assessing daydreaming.? There is no statistically significant difference between the averages of the scores of the pretest and posttest in the control group which has never been exposed to guidance approach to assess daydreaming.For the sake of ensuring the validity of the study hypotheses, the researcher implemented the model of two experimental groups and a control group with pretest and posttest. The study community included the students of 24 intermediate and secondary schools distributed on the Directory of Education in Diyala, Baquba Center. The number of students reached 7114. The sample of the study were the students of the second intermediate class. After that, 30 students of those who obtained high scores in above the virtual average on the scale of daydreams were chosen. Then, they were randomly distributed on the three groups. Each group had ten students. The three groups were equalized in some variables like the score in daydreams pretest, birth order, underachievement, student's job, losing parent(s), residence ownership.The first experimental group received a guidance program according to guided visualization approach according to Raimy's Theory of misconceptions. The second group received a guidance program according to re - imagination approach which is based on Meichenbaum's theory of cognitive behavior modification. The control group did not receive any guidance program.The researcher has built two scales use in the study : 1. Daydream scale which was made of 32 items distributed on the two sides of daydreams (positive and negative). The validity (face validity and construct validity) was ensured. The reliability of the scale was calculated by retesting and Cunbach formula alpha. The results were 0.87 and 0.82 respectively.2. Two guidance programs based on guided visualization and re - imagination approaches. They were conducted in 14 sessions, twice a week, for each program.For processing the data, the researcher used the following statistical aids (T - test for independent and related samples, Cunbach formula alpha, Person correlation coefficient, Chi square test, one - way analysis of variation, Mann - Whitney - U Test, and Wilcoxon test.The results of the study showed the affectivity of the two approaches in reducing daydreaming. In the light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended the following : 1. Enlisting the program of the study in the curriculum of training and preparing educational guides due to its affectivity in detecting and correcting wrong conceptions, conventions, and thoughts.2. Utilizing the daydream scale prepared in the study.The researcher also proposed certain suggestions for further study : 1. Studying the effect of other guidance approaches in reducing daydreaming like Psychodrama, problem - solving, Neuro - linguistic programming, thought stop, desensitization, and psychological engineering.2. Studying the two guidance approaches, revisualization and re - imagination, in preparatory schools and comparing morning and evening classes of intermediate schools.

There are no statistically significant differences among degrees rank of control group in the pre and post tests on personal maturity scale at the level of significance (0.05(.4. There is no statistically significant difference between the average scores of the three groups (the first experimental group),( the second experimental group) and (the control group) in the posttest on personal maturity at the level of significance (0.05(. In order to test the hypotheses, the researcher used the experimental design (two experimental groups and one control group of pre - posttest design). The research population included students at preparatory stage of (25) schools were distributed to The Directorate - General for Education in Diyala. The total number of students (8095), (30) were selected from secondary stage who received less marks from the hypothetical mean in personal maturity scale and distributed on three control groups, and two experimental in amount of 10 students in each group. An equivalence has been done among the three groups in some of the variables, namely, (the degrees of personal maturity scale, ego flexibility, psychological and social compatibility, sequence congenital, live with their parents or of one of them). Then , the researcher tried as possible to adjust some extraneous variables (non - experimental), which were deemed to affect the safety of the experiment which (the maturity, the time of the experiment, the place of the experiment, the sample identification, the person who carried out the experiment.... etc.). The first experimental group received a guidance programme according to the precognitive method, while, the second experimental group received a guidance programme according to the interaction integrative - interactive method, whereas the control didn't receive any guidance programme. The researcher has designed : 1. Personal maturity scale, as the initial form included (36) items distributed to the six areas (‏The sense of self - extension, the intimate relationships with others, self - acceptance, self - awareness of reality, self - objectivity, unified philosophy of life). After the scale has been exposed to the jury members and the statistical analysis for items were verifying, the scale validity has been achieved through the face validity. Also, the reliability has been achieved by test - retest which received (0.88), while the alpha coefficient for internal consistency received (0.81), so the final number of scale items was (27) items. 2. The researcher prepared a guidance programme for the precognition and interaction integrative - interactive. The programme consists of 14 guidance sessions in the amount of twice session per week for each method. According to data research processing, the researcher used statistical methods to achieve it, namely; (T - test for two independent samples, Factor analysis affirmative, Alpha - Cronbach formula, Pearson correlation coefficient, Chi - Square test, Kruskal - Wallis test. The current study results showed the effectiveness of the two cognitive guidance methods; precognition and interaction integrative - interactive in developing personal maturity among students at secondary stage. The researcher reached to a number of conclusions, recommendations and suggestions.

Abstract: The study deals with Rhetorical Formation as a critical idiom which works in effective poetry field and it is very clear in procedural use. The picture in the poem or the portrait needs the senses and feelings of the receiver and it colours his experience. Thus the drawer and the post use certain means to fulfil his works.As it is known poetry is based on rhetorical arts and means from linguistic and rhetorical view point to create motivation and astonishment. The thesis aims at revealing the art movement of rhetoric and describing it inside the poem structure and outside it. The poem includes in its multi - understanding. The poem is considered as abase the field for poetic rhetoric. AL - Saaleeq and Al - fattacks poetry was chosen to be the subject of the present study because it has literary importance. it gathers two literary eras.Which are considered the most prominent literary eras for poetry production. They include poetic interest and researchers tackled this rich literature. Since the researcher is interested in old literature and has a great wish to study and read it he chose this topic. The study falls in to the following parts : Preliminary (Rhetorical formation in Language) was studied from two sides , the first studies the formation and its relation with poetry. The second deals with the rhetoric term and its development. The study falls into three chapters. The first chapter deals with assimilation formation and its activity.The decoding assimilation structure was studied in the first part and the rhetoric assimilation structure is studied in the second part.The second chapter studies metaphorical formation. The chapter is divided in to three sections.The first deals with metaphorical structure the second part deals with the body metaphorical structure and the third deals with recognize able decoding structure. The third chapter deals with the exceeding rhetorical formation. The study arrives at the following conclusions and suggestions : - The study identifies formation concept.It investigates its concept deeply. - AL - Saaleeq and AL - Fattacks poetry have a great ability in poetry. - They were able to re form environment from poetic viewpoint. - They deal with poetic language as scientists who know every thing concerning its content. - In the assimilation structure art is mixed with psychology. - Most of Al - saaleeq and Al - Fattacks poctic assimilation pictures are very clear. - Al - saaleeq and Al - Fattacks poctic were able to change the task of the main assimilation structure from being printed on the poets conscience to being printed on the receivers conscience. Abstract: The present study, which is entitled "Rhetorical Portrayal in Qur'anic Cosmic Scenes : A Study in Patterns and Functions", is in the core of the Glorious Quran studies as it is full of a great number of cosmic verses that are counted by researchers to mount up to sixth of its verses. These verses are dealing with various cosmic elements. When the Holy Quran tackles the (cosmic scene), it deals with it for the sake of accomplishing a variety of functions; ranging from those indicating divinity, an evidence of resurrection, a reminder to humans of Allah's blessings for them, or an identification of the relation of the universe in all its minute details to Allah the Creator. Rhetorical portrayal is regarded on of the phenomena of expression in literary language. The text of the Holy Quran is the apex of such texts. It is characterized by the clear and distinct presence of the rhetorical portrait inside of it along with its distinguished tackling of rhetorical patterns (simile, metaphor and metonymy) in the production of portrait. Of the most significant previous literature is a thesis entitled "The Concluding Sentence in the Qur'anic Cosmic and Humanistic Verses : A Stylistic Study" by Noor H. Mohammed that aimed at dealing with the concluding sentence in the cosmic and humanistic verses with no due reference to the rhetorical portrait except within the scope of her study method.The thesis comprises a preface and four chapters. The preface concentrates on the trilogy of image, imagination and the Qur'anic cosmic scene so as to uncover the concept of image and its relation to imagination among ancient and modern writers. Afterwards, the study moves on from the preface to the practical side. Therefore, the first chapter entitled "Simile in the Cosmic Scenes System" is subdivided into five sections. The first of them is the two sides sense image, the second is the intermingled sense image, the third is the image in the implicit simile, and the fourth is the effectivity of representative image, while the fifth section is the employment of transformational devices in simile. Chapter two focuses on the "Metaphor in the Cosmic Scenes System". It is split into four sections; the first is the employment of personification in the cosmic scenes system, the second is inserting the metaphorical portrait in the cosmic scenes system, thirdly is modes of embodiment in the cosmic scenes system, and the last is the antithesis binaries. The third chapter is entitled "The Mental & Hypallage Trope in Cosmic Scenes System". The researcher favored studying these two types in a separate chapter because they are dangling between metaphor and metonymy as well as due to the huge portrayal energy innate in them that opens forth to both types with regard to their various connotations and relations. I preferred to put this chapter in two sections due to the nature of the analytical, inductive method which is close to descriptive approach of the study; the first is the mental pattern in the scenic system, and the second is the Hypallage pattern in the cosmic scenes system. Chapter four is allocated to the study of "Metonymy in the Cosmic Scenes System". It lies in five sections; the first is the employment of the human and his/her related matters in the cosmic scene, the second is the use of plant and its related issues in the cosmic scene, the third is the usage of time and its related matters in the cosmic scene, and the fourth deals with the metonymy of sighted and chilly cosmic phenomena in the cosmic scene, while the last tackles color implementation in the form of metonymy image. The most significant conclusions perceived from the study are : 1. The letter (Kaaf) comes with the word (mithl/ like) to assure the state of intermingling between the two ingredients of simile.2. The researcher has founded that the rhetorical pattern exceeds the limits of portraying the form into abstract and imaginative worlds, and that the elements forming the cosmic scene participated in the eccentricity of portrait and the activation of its poeticity. 3. Cosmic scenes are mostly count on visual images that are related to natural elements, especially plants. They might address readers' eye to associate more than one human sense with the aim of accomplishing many functions, most importantly, purgation

Abstract: There is a huge critical movement around the works of Fuad Al Tikirli that can be traced back to the mid - fifties of the past century. This is because of the unique characteristics of Al Takarli's works that are marked by intellectual attitudes of development, renewing, and modernism towards writing fiction. Al Tikirli has an exclusive touch that can be noticed by his stories, novels, plays, and articles. This exclusivity is marked by the various literary genres with the accuracy and incredibility of the style at the same time. Al Tikirli has his special style that distinguishes him from other Iraqi writers of his age. Accordingly, critics had followed his writings from his first short story. Nihad Tikirli is regarded as the first critic who reviewed his successful story "Al Uioun Al Khudhr" (The Green Eyes). Before that, many critics tried to analyze his experience according to their intellectual and academic attitudes towards stories and novels like Dr. Ali Jawad Tahir, Dr. Abdulilaah Ahmed, Dr. Umar Talib, Dr. Muhsin Al Mousawi, Dr. Shuja' Al Ani, and the critics : Fadhil Thamir, Yaseen Naseer, and Basim Abdulhameed Hamoudi.The Tikirlian Experience was a subject of many critical studies. All of which tried to find an approach to describe its nature with different procedural devices. This gave his works a critical richness especially in the intellectual fundamentals and the various vision procedural devices. What encouraged the variety of critical approaches of the narrative experience of Al Tikirl is his humanitarian attitude, artistic beauty, and the definite ideological message. His experience is open yet comprehensive with various attitudes, which is a subject of many interpretations. The most important reason behind conducting this study is the variety of critical topics about Tikirli's fictional experience as one of the leading figures of fiction and novel in Iraq as well as the genuine, deep, and continuously developed experience. Al Tikirli was able to take a prestigious status among the Iraqi and Arab novelists.The strong interest in narrative literature participated in choosing this study. It is well known that Fuad Al Tikirli wrote in various literary genres like story, novel, drama, essay, translation, and diaries, but this study will be devoted to narrative literature. Other genres, especially drama, will be left for two reasons. First, those plays did not reach the desired level. They were sole dialogs in which he aimed at trying to write in other genre near to his type. Secondly, the rarity of critical studies that dealt with his plays. The researcher found about two or three essays on his plays, which means that it is regarded as a secondary to his first interest, i.e., stories and novels.Some of the few essays that were concerned with dramatic criticism are "Fuad Al Tikirli : the Dramatist" by Dr. Dhia Khudhayir which was published in the journal Aqlam 3 (1989). The second essay was entitled "The Structure of Dialogue Scenes in the Plays of Fuad Al Tikirli" by the critic Abid Ali Hassan that was published in his book Drama and Application and republished in the journal Emdha 5,6 (2014). The third essay was written by the researcher Mudhafar Salim Shakir and entitled "The Foreign Shadows in the Plays of Fuad Al Tikirli" which was published in Emdha (ibid). The methodology of the study will be based on the textual analytical approach that utilizes the narrative techniques and their aesthetic achievements and the two main narrative streams : traditional novel and Formal Structural Narrative that dealt with the relations between narrative units in a literary work.The study chapters were based on the elements and components of narration as well as the modern techniques of Fuad Al Tikirli's works. The study consisted of four chapters as well as an introduction, a conclusion, a bibliography, and an abstract in English. The introduction contained two aspects. The first one was concerned with Al Tikirli's biography, his narrative innovation and its sources, and his characteristics according to critics and researchers. The second aspect was an introduction to the most important modern narrative elements and techniques contained in the study. The first chapter studied the components of narrative discourse in the works of Fuad Al Tikirli. It is the longest chapter of the study and contained many sections like style, dialogue, and the narrative setting represented by time, place and characters. All those elements participated in the development of his narrative works through the role played by each element in forming and organizing the structure. Style is regarded as the front of the writers work. Dialogue reveals the extent of the writer's attention to people interaction, as well as the monologue that reveals the inner worlds. Narrative setting (time and place) has a great effect on preparing the circumstances to embrace the characters and affect their role in the novel. Characters represent the main factor in narration. Main and secondary characters are the reason behind the existence of the novel.The second chapter contained the components of narrative discourse that is almost similar to the first chapter except with the analysis and scripts.The third chapter entitled "Criticizing Psychological Structure". It was divided into preliminaries and two sections. The preliminaries dealt with an introduction to psychological approach theory and its way of analyzing literary text according to a comprehensive social vision. It showed the relation between fiction and society and the effect of each one on the other in a controversial relation. The first section discussed the issues of sexuality, woman, and adultery in the works of Fuad Al Tikirli. It also discussed the attitude of critics towards this vital and important issue as an advanced topic in this type of literature. The second section was devoted to study the character of the cultivated in his novels and the critics' explanation of the cultivated psychological and financial problems. The fourth chapter contained the criticism of formal structure. Critics have structurally analyzed the scripts Al Tikirli in a punctual and subjective way in building organized relation between narration techniques. This chapter was divided into preliminaries and three sections. The preliminaries were devoted to investigate the formal structural method and its most important techniques. The first section studied the movement forward and backward in narration time. The second section dealt with narrative novel or writer's perspective towards certain topic. The third section contained the subject of textuality of multiple texts to form a new meaningful text. The researcher would like to express his deepest thank to Assistant Professor Saeed Abdulridha Kamees Al Tamimi Ph. Abstract: My dissertation which is entitled " The Visual Image in Modern Poetry Mahmood Darwish and Saadi Yousif as model ", is based on studying the visual occurrence which provides a type of picturing, for a structure assumes, before all, a full perception. It is beyond dispute that seeing is one of the most influential sense in conceiving the world around us due to the linkage to reality gained by vision through seeing. The eye senses beauty in its different forms and colors, because it is the most vital sense concerning imaging. Thus, poets tend to use seeing significantly in their texts via the means they delineate, especially the quick shot in receipt's mind, in addition to the direct and indirect gestures as the imagination, which receives various pictures finds that the visual image is a product of a visual and actual world, so it makes use of imagination to enrich the produced image.The study aims at clarifying how to read poetry visually, improving the visual sighting in the recipient via the image and the artistic sensing level, as well as improving his aesthetic sense. Therefore, the dissertation is entitled"The Visual Image in Modern Poetry Criticism". It comprises three chapters, preceded by a prologue. The prologue deals with "The Image Vivacity and its Formation Elements". Chapter one labors to find out the reception philosophy, its originality and newness attempts. It is entitled "Reception Argument : Originality and Newness". It contains entries that figured out reading and receiving from old Arabic criticism point of view, Arabic receipt types, and the problem of receiving in western criticism.The second chapter is entitled "Visual Image Dynamism". It tackles the semiotics of visual discourse and meaning production. It signifies (a reading in visual semiotics) dealing with formative or visual poem. It comprises certain titles concentrating on the impact of old poetic forms on the making of formative or visual poem, visual poem shifts in modern poetry, and the visual image as one of the sorts of visual formation. Chapter the third comes to probe the semiotics of the written form and its influence on visual image formation, black and white and their time - spatial sense, along with punctuation marks and their constructional functioning. The chapter bears the title "Poetic Line and Spatial Formation". Modern criticism approaches vary in their procedures. I come to choose the reception and semiotic approaches due to their power in conceiving the visual image phenomenon, because hinting, gesturing and implying in the selected texts are the things that founded a visual reader embarking on filling the poem's blankness with words, with a fullness and emptiness allowing the written to devour the page's whiteness, letting the whiteness then to embargo the written so as to afford a sense of creativity to the texts. The written form began to draw the attentions as a signifying element assimilated inside of the text's wholeness. Bearing this in mind, the defamiliarization phenomenon is breaking the familiar composing system, which is regarded as a significant approach in studying selected texts. Defamiliarization tries to shift to express via the visual image in many forms as : breaking the word through disconnecting its typographical linkage, scattering its words on the page, in addition to vacuumtechnique.The dissertation afforded a variety of results as : 1. Both Mahmood darwish and Saadi Yousif frequently combine linguistic writing and visual phenomena in the poetic knitting. Through this process, they aim at increasing the text's visual undertones. Such visual usage added aesthetic and connotative levels to the body of the poem.2. The shift that took place in modern reception is the accompaniment of seeing to hearing and reason to form a complete apprehension of the poetic text. Therefore, the poem became a vision poem, and reading started to be moving to and fro the picture to the text to generate communication. The poem moved from the sound rhythm to the visual rhythm thus becoming a factual visual poem producing a visual image. 3. The function of the visual image is to draw the attention and assisting in moving the page out to produce the hidden meaning, whether it is artistically or composedly connected and interrelated to it, because poetic discourse is no more a mere combination of words and notions. It became to encompass a number of other elements that cannot be reached unless with seeing in order to comprehend the text and the form which became of deep connotations for the place the text is composed in and the way of writing it on blankness are now entering its meaning and framing its route. I can then safely assume that the poetic work is a composite one that bears certain visions. The objective behind it is not only experimentation and coping with modern writing methods, but it is bringing together more than one creative in his/her artefact and affording the text with a chance of newness and multiplicity, and fixing it in the memory of the reader through its lingual, written and artistic excellence. This is due to the fact that the text cannot be derived from multi - readers, as there are text reader, language reader, image reader and form reader, and as writing, in this sense, became readings that are harmonic with directions of the modern age and its philosophies.

Abstract: There is no doubt that the terms that distinguish a section of science is an important matter without which concepts will be confused and become hard to be separated. This doesn't mean that these concepts should spin in the circle of terms but they must be linked with their semantics in the context. If we suppose that terms are the keys to the doors of the house, this means that the builder finish building that house. Resident has to either keep that building or divide it again. He might extend its limits or make it narrower. He might put other doors which will make different issues. Or, he might keep the doors but change the keys. The material of this study is found in books theses as well as researches especially those dealt with grammatical terms. Those researchers study these terms after deep searching. So, one can say that these studies are comprehensive. They depend on scientists'opinions and they search in such books as Al - Kitab, Al - Muktathab, Asul Al - Naho, Shareh Ibn Yaesh, Al - Rathi and others. This study doesn't care with all those who study the grammatical terms but it deals with those who study themseparately. And since there is a large number of sources so the researcher passed time factor and he doesn't restrict himself to a certain era in his study. Also, this study doesn't care with following up the industry of dictionaries of terms as they are too much. This might be a subject to independent thesis. The researcher chooses this titlefor two reasons : First, the grammatical term is a key to understand the texts and a door to enter science. Thus, searchingthese terms means reading all the grammatical subjects and then knowing the opinion of the early grammarians as well as the modern grammarians who study this subject.Second, it was the researcher's supervisor's Dr.MakiNaumanMathloom suggestion that this is a subject which isn't studied before and one that is worth studying. This study depends on many procedures starting with the historical one in documenting the researchers' thoughts and their study of grammatical terms of the early grammarians. It is done according to their historical series. This doesn't mean that our study will not concentrate on the study of grammatical terms of modern grammarians but,it deals with Grammar heritage such as Arabic dictionaries as well as the old sources. The second procedure is the criticism and analysis of these terms through the way of thinking of those scholars. Also, to highlighting the procedures of this study and through it the researcher presents and criticizes the opinion of those scholars under study. The study is divided into four chapters with an introduction and a conclusion. Those chapters are as follows : Chapter one : Rooting the Grammatical Terms. This chapter is divided into two sections,Section one : Rooting the Grammatical Terms in Al - Basriin's view, represented by,1. circumstantial phrases, predicate, adjective and adverbial object.2. sentence.3. the predicate of 'La' of negating gender.4. indeclinable for the object. 5. article and letter.Section two : Rooting the Grammatical Terms in Al - Kofiin's view, represented by,1. metonymy and surnamed.2.dogmatization.3.arrangement.Chapter two studies the correspondent terms in Al - Basriin and Al - Kofiinview and it is divided into three sectionsSectionone : Grammatical terms in AlBasriin's view.Section two : Grammatical terms in Al - Kofiin's view.Section three : the correspondent terms between Al Basriin and Al - Kofiin.In this chapter, the grammatical terms of AlBasriin and Al - Kofiinas well as the correspondent terms that are different in names but similar in concepts are studied. The opinions of the scholars their analysis of these terms are also studied.Chapter three presents the terms mentioned by scholars in form of books or researches that show the value of these terms. Chapter four, on the other hand, deals with the relationship between the grammatical terms and their semantics. Early grammarians pay attention to the semantics of terms. This chapter is also divided into three sections. The first one synonymous Grammatical Terms in Grammarians' view. This is done by mentioning grammatical termsfound by scholars while dealing with these terms. It seems that there are more than a term that has one concept and one meaning. That is called ''synonymity of grammatical terms''. The second section studies the shared grammatical terms between grammarians. Scholars follow up the nature of the terms and their effect on developing thegrammar lesson. The results is the multiplicity of meanings of the same term. The third section studies scholars' modern grammatical terms. The researchers borrow for these terms what scientists always tell ''terminology is indisputable''. They consider the idea of reformatting some terms according to the feature of universality of some early grammarians.Finally, the conclusion summarizes what the researcher reaches at and it is as follows : 1. It seems that some modern scholars found a confusion while studying some grammatical terms such as ''dogmatization'' and ''circumstantial phrases''.2. It seems that universality and particularity phenomena predominate the grammatical terms ( sentence, speech ) , ( article and letter) and others. 3. It seems that' synonymity of grammatical terms comes from modesty and agreement that terminology process aiming at in the nature of labels and titles. Synonymity of terminology hadn't been given a suitable account in this study. 4. Some scholars call for reviewing the titles and the concepts of the grammatical terms because of the overlapping among some terms.
