The reality of life has become fraught with risks, events, and tough experience. And one's psychological security is deemed threatened if it is exposed to psychological, social and political stress which he can not bear. Moreover, that will cause failure in meeting security needs for someone which makes him not harmonious psychologically and socially, So, some of the behaviors, that are not preferred like gossip ,appear.Gossip is one of the social and cultural phenomena which have been addressed by many psychologists recently. it has been turned out that gossip may achieve some psychological needs through the exchange of information and this information covers everything about ones' life. But at the same time, if gossip is overused, that will affect the relations between individuals and their closely ties. And that what motivates the researcher to deal importantly with another variable which is need for belonging that is considered a strong source to bring members for the group and resist to abandon it (group).However, this variable is able to supply others with a sensitive stimulus that will not make life get bored and they can give kindness and protection against risks. subsequently, one's need for other lies in meeting his needs that he can not solve or meet by himself, so, they will make him feel secure and self - respect will increase. Hence, the importance of studying the relation between gossip and need for belonging for Iraqi society specially State employees came.The study aims at identifying : 1. Gossip among State employees.2. Significance of the difference among state employees according to the gender variable (male - female).3. belonging among State employees.4. Significance of the difference in the need for belonging among employees of State Ministries depending on gender variable (male - female).5. Nature of relation between gossip and need for belonging among employees of State Ministries.This current research has been determined to the employees of both genders in State Ministries in Baghdad for the year 2016.Regarding the theoretical framework, the researcher showed a number of theories specific to gossip and another number of theories specific to need for belonging. The researcher, in her study, adopted Foster theory, 2004 for gossip variable and Hagerty theory; 1992 for need for belonging variable in order to achieve the goals of the research, the researcher followed the necessary procedures to translate the two measures of gossip and need for belonging in which measures of gossip, in its final form, is composed of 23 items and the measures of need for belonging, in its final form, is composed of 18 items. Moreover, the validity of translation and face validity and construct validity have achieved for the two measures.while reliability was extracted for the two measures ways : split - half reliability method and cronbach's method. so, fortitude in split - half reliability method is in two alpha (0.86), and in cronbach's alpha method (0.87) for gossip measure while in the measure of need for belonging, reliability in split - half reliability method reached to (0.86) and in cronbach's alpha method (0.91).After applying the two measures to a sample of employees composed of 450 male and female employees, the research results showed the following : 1. State employees have a high degree of gossip and they have a high need for belonging.2. The absence of differences, according to the variable of gender (male - female), in each of gossip and need forbelonging.3. There is a correlative and relation between the two variables of gossip and need for belonging in employees of State Ministries.According to these results, the researcher presents Rec - ommendations and suggestions to conduct further studies.

Abstract: يستهدف البحث الحالي التعرف على : - 1 - استراتيجيات التحكم بالتفكير (الالهاء/التحكم الاجتماعي/القلق/العقوبة/اعادة التقويم) لدى طلبة الجامعة.2 - دلالة الفرق في كل استراتيجيه (الالهاء/التحكم الاجتماعي/القلق/العقوبة/اعادة التقويم) على وفق متغير النوع(ذكور - اناث)ل | 1 - Thought - control strategies (Distraction/Social control/Worry/Punishment/Re - appraisal) by university students 2 - Significance difference in the use of thought - control Strategies according to gender (males - females). 3 - University students mindfulness.4 - The correlational relation between thought - control strategies and mindfulness.5 - finally , the study aims of testing the following hypothesis : The possibility of prediction of existanee of each thought control strategies in the presumed of mindfulness the current study determined to the students in Al - Mustansieriya university. To achieve these aims the researcher translated Wales and Daves 1994 thought Control strategy Scale and it Was submitted to a group of professionals and experts Who Confirmed the scale's validity. Then it Was applied on a sample of (400) students (males and females) to obtain The Scale's psychometric Characteristics. Items discriminations face validity , translation validity , factorial validity Construct validity and reliability are computed. Reliability by Cronbach's Alpha method Was ( distraction 0.38 / social control 0.43/ anxiety o.71/ punishment 0.55/ re - appraisal 0.46). so the scale is ready to be applied, with (30) items and a hypothetical mean of (75) the reaches also adopted mindfulness Scale langer's 1992, with (20) items and a hypothetical mean of (40) witch Was submitted to a group of and experts for validity confirmation. Then the scale Was applied on the some sample to obtain its psychometric Characteristics. Items discrimination Difference significance , face validity , translation validity , construct validity and (reliability) are computed. By the use of split - half method reliability was (0.38) before correcting , (0.55) after correcting with Spearman Brown equation and (0.56) by the using of Cronboach's - Alpha method. thus , the scale was ready to be applied.The results of the current study show that the sample students have both thought - control strategies and mindfulness and that the mostly used strategies are (re - appraisal social control and distraction) respectively. It is also shown that there is significant differences in the use of some thought - control strategies according to gender in favor of. Females in (worry / social control and re - appraisal) strategies , But no significant difference is shown for (distraction and punishment) strategies , Finally it has been shown that there is a strong relation (0.99) Between the two variables (thought - control strategies and mindfulness) and that mindfulness can predict thought control strategies used by student which proves the above - mentioned hypothesis to be true. Based on these result the researcher presented a set of recommendations and suggestions for future research's.

In order to achieve the aims of the research , the researcher has developed compassion fatigue scale which consists of (40) items in its final form. , The researcher has adopted Haffedh scale that consists of (50) items in its final form , The researcher statistically analyzed scales items to compute the discrimination power , The validity is also calculated by computed the relationship between items degree and the aggregate degree of the scale , The reliability is computed in two methods : the split - half method and cronbachs alpha formula of both scales. After applying the two scales on a sample of nurses in hospital that consists of (250) nurses and a sample of workers in elderly homes consists of (50) workers in the city of Baghdad , the study achieved the following results : 1 - The hospitals nurses are suffering from compassion fatigue beside they enjoy a high level of feeling the meaning of life.. 2 - There are no significant differences in accordance with gender years of service , studying achievement variables in compassion fatigue among the hospital nurses. 3 - There are no significant differences in accordance with gender , years of service , studying achievement variables in the meaning of life among The hospitals nurses. 4 - There is not significant relationship between compassion fatigue and the meaning of life among The hospitals nurses 5 - Workers in homes elderly do not suffer from compassion fatigue and possess a high degree of sense of the meaning of life 6 - There are no statistically significant differences in accordance with gender , years of service variables - and the presence of significant differences according to studying achievement in favor of those with low studying achievement (elementary and below), in compassion fatigue of workers in elderly homes. 7 - There are no statistically significant differences according to gender , years of service and studying achievement variables in the meaning of life amng workers in elderly homes. 8 - There is not significant relationship between compassion fatigue and the meaning of life among workers in elderly homes 9 - There is not statistically significant differences in relationship between compassion fatigue and the meaning of life among The hospitals nurses and workers in elderly homes. The researcher aimed to identify the organizational affiliation to the workers in media institutions, and to identify the differences between them according to the institution kind and gender, and to identify the Conflict handling of Styles among workers in media institutions, and to identify the relationship between the Conflict handling of Styles and organizational affiliation with the media. To achieve the goals of research, the researcher adopted the Conflict handling of Styles of scale to deal with the conflict of Roih (2007) and constructive organizational affiliation scale according to pattern of Meyer and Allen (1997) and a number of items in the final is (44) items were distributed among the three organizational affiliation components, the emotional has (16) items, the continuous has (15) items and the standard has (13) items. The application of current research applied on a sample of (382) employees in the media, and current research results : showed - 1. The media people (the research community) are characterized by a high degree of the organizational affiliation, and the females are more organizational affiliation than the males, and it did not show any differences in the organizational affiliation according to the variable of type of institution (government - independent). 2. The style used by the media people in handling with the conflict are (the integration, compatibility then avoidance and finally the styles of harmonization and coercion.3. There is a statistically significant difference in style of handling with the conflict (integration, compatibility, avoidance, and harmonization) among the workers in the governmental and non - governmental institutions and in favor of employees in government institutions, while it did not show any clear difference in style of coercion.4. The Research has shown that there is no statistically significant difference between the media people according variable Gender (Female - Male) in their tendency to use the methods of dealing with conflict (integration, compatibility, avoidance, harmonization) except for coercion style, as there was a statistically significant difference between the media males and females in favor of males.5. The results showed the existence of a strong positive correlation between organizational affiliation and styles of integration and compatibility, also it showed a weak relationship between the styles of avoidance and harmonization and organizational affiliation, and it showed an inverse relationship between organizational affiliation and style of coercion. Based on the outcomes of the research, the researcher recommended a number of recommendations and proposals.

Abstract: يسعى البحث الحالي الى مقارنة الخصائص القياسية لاختبار فليب كارتر المتقدم للذكاء لدى طلبة الجامعة على على وفق القياس (معياري ومحكي ) المرجع.ولتحقيق هذا الهدف اتبع الباحث خطوات علمية في اجراءات تحليل اختبار فليب كارتر على على وفق القياس معياري المرجع، فق | The present study aims at comparing the psychometric Properities Of IQ Advanced Test by Philip Carter For University’s Students According to (Norm - Criterion) Referenced Measurement. To achieve this aim , firstly Philip Carter Test has been translated into Arabic language , then translated back into English language, and vice versa and showing the tow original copies to an expert in English language , then , the researcher shows the Arabic version to an Expert in Arabic language to check, Then the translated Philip Carter Test, and showing Educational and Psychological Sciences to assume the translation validity of the test item and the an ability of the appropriate character's tics of these items and their options in respect to their form and content, Accordingly, the test items were considered suitable to achieve the aim of the present study. The Test applied on a sample consisted of(50) students selected randomly from Al - Mustansiriya university and university of Technology and it shown that , this practice was clear and understood and the average of answers was only(50)minutes. The test has been applied on (1000) male and female University students who has been selected by the random multi - stage sampling from Iraqi Universities. In terms of the of psychometric Properities of the test, the validity has been achieved , according to Norm - Referenced measurement , by three indices (Translation validity , and face validity , and construct validity) by finding discrimination power and the correlation between the item score and the total score of the scale. Reliability of the scale has been computed by using analysis of variance method (formula) The Test applied on a sample consisted according to Criterion - Referenced measurement based on Rasch's uni - index model which is me, In order to verify Rasch's model assumptions, the following steps are done : 1 - Uni - dimension : To verify this assumption factorial analysis of the test is applied by using the essential components. One meaning full factor of the test is obtained which is interpreted by the lower limits of Guttmann which considers the factor to be statistically significant since its Eigen value equals or up the one, and depending on a ratio of 0.30 - up to the items saturation ratio by the general factor according to Guilford's norm. No item has been deleted from the test by the applied statistical program. In addition to this method, the compellation coefficient method is applied by finding out the relation of the items come to the total score of the test. 2 - Item fitness is another indication that the items do measure the uni - dimention trait. It is found out by computing the Chi - square value on a level of significance of (0.05) as computed by the ICL program, consequently no item is eliminated.3 - Measurement independence which achieves objectivity represented by Rasch's model, for no item is eliminated. After analyzing data in terms of, the(Norm - Criterion) Referenced Measurement below results have been obtained : 1 - Both two Measurements' have construct validity.2 - There are statistically no significant difference is found in favor of reliability coefficients, depending on both methods of two Measurements' (0.05) level of significance.3 - When comparing the criterion error value between the two Measurement, it has been no significant difference is found the criterion error value.4 - The number of the items for both styles has been equal in its final version. Then the researcher to conclusions and to develop a set of recommendations and proposals.

And the of the privacy regulation which is defined as the set of strategies that enable a person to retain his private information or share it with someone else. after reassuring him, and that run within the limits set by the person range from the simple to the most immunization ).It has formed a research challenge to the researcher motivated her for trying the nature of the relationship among social networking users ( Face book ) through aims that current research achieve tries to. In order to achieve the aims of current research , the researcher has developed a scale of ( social penetration ) and the scale of (Privacy regulation ) , and the application of scale on sample consists ( 400 ) of users of social networking ( Face book ) and then extract validity, discriminating power, and reliability of the two scales and, the reliability penetration scale social is ( 0.95 ), internal consistency , and in test - retest is ( 0.88 ), while the reliability of the privacy regulation scale is ( 0.84 ) for internal. Consistency and (.83) in test - retest. After confirming the standard characteristics of the two scales they were applied on research sample, which consisted of (400) user of social networking (Face book) data has been processed statistically by using appropriate methods. The research has achieved the basic following results : - 1. The presence of a high level of social penetration among the search sample.2. lack of research sample college to privacy regulate.3. There is an inverse relationship between the social penetration and regulation privacy.4. Abstract: يعد التهور من المظاهر السلوكية الشائعة خلال فترة الطفولة، ويتمثل بسلوكيات معينة قد تستمر الى مراحل عمرية لاحقة لتتحول الى سمة شخصية لدى الفرد. ويعرف التهور على انه ميل الفرد ونزعته الى الاستجابة بسرعة وبدون تفكير او تان. وقد تم في هذا البحث تناول سلوك الت | Impulsivity is regarded as one of the familiar behavioral phenomena during childhood, and can be represented in certain behaviors that may continue into later age stages and turn into trait personality of the individual. Impulsivity is defined as the tendency of an individual and his inclination to respond quickly without thinking or deliberation. In this research, however, the impulsive behavior has been dealt with from the perspective of trait, where the relationship between impulsive behavior and the need of exhibition has been investigated among female sentenced inmates in Iraqi prisons. Here, the need of exhibition is the individual intention to form a general impression to attract others attention deliberately so as to make himself seen or listened to. However the two variables have been dealt with depending on Murray theory. The present research aims at knowing impulsive behavior and the need of exhibition of female sentenced inmates according to age, educational achievement, the kind of the criminal behavior and the relation between impulsive behavior and the need of exhibition. In order to achieve the research goals, the researcher has prepared a scale for measuring the impulsive behavior and a scale for measuring the need of exhibition through following the scientific methods in this respect. The two scales have been administered on a sample consists of (300) of female sentenced inmates in Iraqi prisons. The result show : - The present research community is not characterized by impulsive behavior and there are statistically significant differences according to (age, educational achievement, the kind of the criminal behavior). Where the female sentenced inmates whose age between (20 - 30) years, female sentenced inmates whose educational achievement is low (primary) and female sentenced inmates who sentenced of criminal behavior of violence and prostitution are characterized by impulsive behavior whereas the other groups of female sentenced inmates are not. - It also appears that the present research community is not characterized by the need of exhibition and there are statistically significant differences according to (age, educational achievement, the kind of the criminal behavior). Where the female sentenced inmates whose age between (20 - 30) years, female sentenced inmates whose educational achievement is low (primary) and female sentenced inmates who sentenced of prostitution are characterized by the need of exhibition. - There is a positive correlational relationship between impulsive behavior and the need of exhibition. Finally, the researcher has put forward a number of recommendation and suggestions.

Abstract: يفترض مفهوم التحرر من الالتزام الخلقي ان اغلب الاعمال السيئة في المؤسسات هي من الناحية النفسية مقبولة اخلاقيا، ويشير باندورا (Bandura,1999) الى ان الفرد المتحرر من التزامه الخلقي لديه قيم اخلاقية تمكنه من تبرير سلوكياته المنحرفة في سياق موقفي معين على ان | The concept of moral disengagement proposes that most bad actions in institutions are moral and accepted from the psychological point of view. Bandura(1999)points out that the morally disengaged individual has ethical values, but he is able to justify his deviated behaviors in specific situational context as appropriate to that situation ,even though ,the individual hardly try to maintain their high personal criteria.Because unless doing that , he will feel guilt, shame and self accused.Feeling Shame comes from negative thoughts and feelings where it focuses on the feeling of lack of value especially when they find out that others know their guilts. In the light of the aforementioned the research aims at achieving the following objectives : 1 - Identifying the of moral disengagement of employees. 2 - Identifying the significance of differences in moral disengagement according to the variable ( Gender - age - academic achievement ). 3 - Identifying the of shame of employees.4 - Identifying the significance of differences in shame according to the variable ( Gender - age - academic achievement ).5 - Identifying correlational relationship between moral disengagement and shame of employees.The current research is determined by the employees of state. the sample consists of (400) male and female employees who are chosen according to stratified random method.In relation to the theoretical framework the researcher has reviewed a number of theories that attempted to interpret the concepts of moral disengagement and shame. The researcher has adopted the Bandura(1986) theory.To achieve the aims of the current research, the researcher has built a scale for moral disengagement which is in its final form consists of (48) items. The scale has achieved two kinds of validity, face validity and construct validity. The reliability computed by two methods, test - retest reliabitity , which is about ( 0,91) and cronbachs alpha which is about( 0,95).Asker scale (2010) has been adopted to measure shame, Because the scale has been constructed for 6 years the, its psychometric characteristics have been ascertained by using two types of validity which are the face validity and construct validity. As for reliability, it has been ascertained in two method, test - re test which is about ( 0,84) and cronbachs alpha ,which is about ( 0,95).After using researcher statistical methods, the following results have been achieved : - 1 - There is a low score less than the average in moral disengagement among the employees. 2 - There are no significant statistical differences in moral disengagement according the variable ( gender - age - academic achievement). 3 - There is a low score less than the average in shame among employees.4 - There is no significant statistical differences in shame according the variable ( gender - age - academic achievement). 5 - There is a significant positive correlational relationship between moral disengagement and shame among employees. Based on current research results, the researcher has presented a number of recommendations and suggestions

Abstract: استهدف البحث الحالي التعرف على : ? التهكم السياسي لدى افراد عينة البحث ( اعضاء الهيئة التدريسية في الجامعة ومدرسو الاعدادية والمعلمين).? دلالة الفروق الاحصائية في التهكم السياسي لدى افراد عينة البحث ( اعضاء الهيئة التدريسية في الجامعة ومدرسو الاعدادية وا | The current research aims at cognit on : - The political cynicism for the individuals of the research sample (members of the teaching staff in university, teachers in secondary schools and instructors). - Indication of the statistical differences in the political cynicism for the individuals of the research sample (members of the teaching staff in university, teachers in secondary schools and instructors)according to the following variables : (kind - age - specialization - function). - Belief in the conspiracy theory for the individuals of the research sample (members of the teaching staff in university, teachers in secondary schools and instructors). - Indication of the statistical differences of believing in the conspiracy theory for the individuals of the research sample (members of the teaching staff in university, teachers in secondary schools and instructors) according to the following variables (kind - age - socialization - function). - Differences in the political cynicism according to the levels of believing in conspiracy theory (high - middle - low).The researcher has shown a group of differences for the two variables and concluded after that to put his own special definition to the political cynicism "the individual's negative beliefs towards the government - politicians or the political order in general", based on an arrangement of experiences and information with negative implications which express the weakness of the political confidence ,the negative assessment of the political performance and to direct towards abstention from political participation.He also put his own a special definition for the belief in the conspiracy theory which is " the individual's explanation for the events and the unusual situations which happen within his surrounding and controlling on his cognitive system and he sees that they are related with each other in a way involves the idea of the secret planning by a group or certain parties to achieve an aim or a hidden illegal or harmful aims accompanied with beliefs that may exist altogether or singularly for (the individual) as being exposed to oppression ,internal exhaustion for the society ,the external targeting and the secret controlling of the events in addition to the disability of the conscious".The research has put two definitions for the two variables depending on the thoughts which were mentioned within the theoretical frame for the two variables in addition to the varied thoughts which were brought by the previous definitions for the two variables.The researcher has also shown a group of theoretical trends which dealt with the two variables of the study and concluded after discussing them to adopt the cognitive curve which contained the theories of (Cognitive Balance Theory ,Heider 1944, Congruity Theory ,Charles.I.Osgood& Percy Tannenbaum ,1955 ,Affective Cognitive - Consistency Theory whci were developed by Rosenberg& Abelson in 1956 ,in addition to Cognitive Dissonance the theory which was put by Leon Festinger in 1957 as a theoretical frame used to explain the two variables.The current study consisted of (25444)individuals represent the members of the teaching staff in Baghdad University ,teachers in secondary schools and the instructors of the primary schools in Baghdad from both genders for the year (2015 - 2016).The researcher used (the random class way with equal distribution) in choosing the sample ,where the sample of the current research was (450 ) individuals were distributed equally among the teaching staff in the university and the teachers and instructors. The researcher put a scale for every variable from the variables of the research where he has built a scale for political cynicism consisted in its final figure of (34 ) item distributed on three fields ,where all of its items were distributed at the level of indicator (0,01), in which the stability factor in Alpha equation and (0,92) in kitman equation. The researcher extracted also the truthfulness for this scale via the superficial truthfulness through displaying the items on a group of specialists arbitrators in psychology and political sciences and the relation of the degrees of every item with the total degree of the scale ,in addition to extracting the truth global and in what related with the scale of the belief in conspiracy theory ,the researcher built a scale for this variable and was consisting in its final figure of (30) item distributed on five fields.All the items were distinctive at the level of indicator (0,01)and the factor of stability was (0,90)in Alpha equation and (0,92 ) in Kitman equation.The truthfulness was extracted for it In the same way of the first scale.The research concluded the following results : - - There is a political cynicism for the sample of the research higher than hypothetic median with statistical indication. - There are no differences statistically indicating in the political cynicism for the sample of the research according to the following variable (kind - age - specialization - function). - There is a belief in the conspiracy theory for the sample of the research in a higher level than the hypothetic median with a statistically indication. - There are no differences of the statistically indication in the belief in the conspiracy theory for the sample of the research according to the following variables (kind - age - specialization - function). - There are differences statistically indicating between the political cynicism according to the levels of the beliefs in the theory of conspiracy for the sample of the research.The researcher has presented a group of recommendations based on the results, in addition to a group of proposals for the next scientific studies.
