Abstract: تعتبر الترجمة عملا حيويا للتواصل,وهي احد اهم المواضيع المستخدمة لتدريس اللغة الانكليزية لغة اجنبية في الجامعات العراقية , وعملية التدريس هذه تتخللها مشكلات وعقبات جمة يواجهها متعلمو اللغة الانكليزية لغة اجنبية , ولاجل ذلك فان هذه الدراسة تعالج نقاط ضعف تقنيات تدريس النصوص الصحفية بالاضافة الى ذلك فانها تقدم في المقابل بعض الحلول للرقي بهذه التقنيات.ان هذه الدراسة تهدف الى تقديم استعراض لتقنيات التدريس الحديثة والمعاصرة في شتى انحاء العالم لتدريس مادة الترجمة الصحفية وتقويم التقنيات المستخدمة حاليا في اقسام الترجمة في كليتي الاداب في جامعة تكريت وجامعة الموصل, وكذلك تهدف الى تقييم مستوى طلبة اقسام الترجمة في جامعتي تكريت والموصل.تفترض هذه الدراسة ان طلبة هذه الاقسام يواجهون مشكلات جمة في تعلم مادة الترجمة الصحفية, وانها تفترض ايضا بان التقنيات الحالية المستخدمة من قبل مدرسي هذه المادة بحاجة الى الارتقاء والنهوض الى مستوى افضل من اجل الوصول الى نتائج افضل.ومن اجل الوصول الى اهداف هذه الدراسة فقد تم بناء قائمة مهام مؤلفة من اربعين فقرة لمراقبة وقياس تقنيات تدريس مادة الترجمة الصحفية في تلك الجامعتين.وتم بناء اختبار تحصيلي لقياس مستوى تحصيل الطلبة من خلال هذه العملية. يتكون هذا الاختبار من قطعتين : الاولى تترجم من اللغة الانكليزية الى اللغة العربية والثانية تترجم بالعكس. ولايجاد مصداقية كل من قائمة المهام والاختبار فقد تم عرضهما على لجنة من الخبراء في هذا المجال في مجموعة من الجامعات العراقية.اما موثوقية هاتين الاداتين فقد اوجدت احصائيا من خلال استخدام معامل ارتباط بيرسون.وبعد معاملة البيانات احصائيا فقد توصلت الدراسة الى نتائج من اهمها الافتقار الى الكفاءة في تقنيات التدريس المستخدمة حاليا كما ان التدريسيين لا يستخدمون التقنيات الحديثة من اجل الحصول على نتائج مرضية في التعلم وكذلك مستوى الطلبة كان ضعيفا مع استخدام التقنيات الحالية, ومن خلال النتائج فقد وجد ايضا فارق احصائي في معدل التحصيل لطلبة الجامعتين وهو يشير الى تفوق طلبة جامعة الموصل مقارنة بطلبة جامعة تكريت. وقد قدمت بعض المقترحات وهي تدريب مدرسي هذه المادة وترك تقنيات التدريس القديمة واستخدام تقنيات تدريس اكثر حداثة من اجل الوصول الى تعلم افضل. | Translation is considered a vital act of communication. It is one of the most important subjects which is taught at the Iraqi universities where English is taught as a foreign language. The process of teaching translation has its own problems and obstacles encountered by the prospective translators. For that reason, this study tackles the weaknesses in the techniques of teaching political texts and to improve them.So, this study aims at presenting a survey of the modern and up - to - date techniques used for teaching journalistic translation. Moreover, it also aims at assessing the level of students in translation in departments of translation at Tikrit and Mosul universities.The hypotheses of this study assume that the students of those departments have many difficulties in learning the material of journalistic translation due to the current techniques used in teaching journalistic translation. The other hypothesis states that the instructors' currently used techniques in teaching journalistic translation need to be improved and modified for the sake of reaching better level in learning.For the achievement of these aims, a forty - item checklist is constructed as an instrument to observe, measure and suggest the techniques of teaching journalistic translation at those two universities. Another instrument is an achievement test which is used to measure the prospective translators' achievement during this whole process of learning. This test includes two extracts to be translated. The first one from English into Arabic; the other one is vice versa. The validity of both study instruments has been found by exposing them to a jury members from different Iraqi universities. The reliability of both instruments have also been found statistically by the use of Pearson's Correlation Coefficient Formula. Finally, analysis of the collected data has come up with some conclusions and findings; the most important one is the lack of effectiveness in the currently used techniques in teaching journalistic translation. There is a statistical difference between the students mean scores of Mosul university, which is higher than the mean scores of Tikrit university students. Many up - to - date techniques are not used in teaching journalistic translation at Tikrit and Mosul universities. Suggestions are given to train instructors teach this material, to abandon the traditional techniques and to shift to more modern techniques for better learning styles

Abstract: اكد علماء النحو في اللغة الانجليزية ان اكتساب ادوات التنكير والتعريف هي من اهم النظم الفرعية لطلبة اقسام اللغة الانكليزية في كلية التربية لغة اجنبية وهذا النظام يوصف بانه مشكل (صعب). وهذا سبب اختياره حيث يستحق الدراسة في الجامعة. المشكلة تكمن في سوء اكتساب الاثر النحوي لادوات التعريف The وادوات التنكير a , an وكذلك ø اذ توجد تراكيب من غير اداة. وتهدف الدراسة الى : - - ايجاد المستوى العام للمتعلمين في الاكتساب باستعمال (ادوات التنكير والتعريف). 12 - الاشارة فيما اذا كان هناك اي فروق ذات دلالة احصائية بين اداء الطلبة الكلي للعينة في استعمال ادوات التنكير والتعريف في مستوى التميز من ناحية ومستوى الادراك من ناحية اخرى . 3 - الكشف عن مدى اكتساب الادوات ( التعريف والتنكير) ما بين طلبة السنة الاولى والسنة الثالثة. 4 - اكتشاف اختلاف انتقال الاثر النحوي للادوات بين طلبة المرحلتين ( الاولى والثالثة) عند مستوى الانتاج. 5 - وقد اثبتت الدراسة بان هناك فروق ذات دلالة احصائية بين الاداء الكلي للعينة عند مستوى التمييز وادائهم عند مستوى الانتاج وذلك لصالح التمييز لقد تم صياغة خمسة فرضيات ومن اجل اثبات صحة هذه الفرضيات وتحقيق اهداف الدراسة , تم بناء اختبار تحصيلي يتالف من خمسة اسئلة مبينه بالتفصيل في الفصل الثالث. وقد تم تحقيق الصدق الظاهري وصدق المحتوى للاختيار بعرضه على ذوي الخبرة والاختصاص وتحقق ثبات الاختبار باستعمال طريقة ( كنرنبخ الفا ) وجرى ايضا اختبارا استطلاعيا لعينه مكونه من عشرين طالبا قبل تطبيقه وقد طبق الاختبار كذلك على العينة المختارة المؤلفة من مئة طالب من المرحلتين الاولى والثالثة في قسم اللغة الانجليزية في كليه التربية بجامعة سامراء ، وبعد تحليل المعلومات توصلت الدراسة الى النتائج الاتية : - التركيز على النطق السليم للحروف واتقان اللغة له نوعان (اساسي ظاهر, وفردي غير ظاهر) النوع الاول له صله بنطق المتعلمين الاجانب اذ يظهر بانهم اكتسبوا القواعد الاساسية لاستعمال ادوات التعريف والتنكير بالممارسة المستمرة ، والنقل النحوي يصنف ايجابي وسلبي اذ وضحت بالفصل الثاني. تتضمن الدراسة خمسة فصول : الفصل الاول يدرس المبادئ الاساسية للدراسة (مقدمه) والثاني هو محاوره لعرض الخلفية النظرية للدراسة المتعلقة بادوات التعريف والتنكير في اللغة الانجليزية وغرض الدراسة والفصل الثالث الاجراءات المتخصصة لتحقيق اهداف الدراسة الرابع يحتوي على العرض ومناقشه النتائج والفصل الخامس يعرض خلاصه الدراسة وهي مجموعه من التوصيات والمقترحات في ضوء النتائج التي تم التوصل اليها.وهي ان انتقال الاثر النحوي بالنسبة لادوات التعريف والتنكير مقبول ولم يصل مستوى الاكتساب . | As a fact attested by most of the grammarians, English articles constitute one of the most significant subsystems in English grammar for the EFL learners, this system is described problematic. That is why it is chosen and it is worthy to be studied at the university. The problem lies in the misuse of the definite article the and the indefinite articles a, an and zero. Some aims of the present study are : 1 - Finding out learners' general level of acquisition of articles (definite and indefinite).2 - Pointing out whether there are any significant differences between the (whole sample's) performance in using definite article, on one hand and indefinite article on the other hand at both recognition and production levels.3 - Revealing in the extent of acquisition of articles between the first and third years.4 - Discovering how the syntactic transfer of articles vary at the two different years the first and third at the production level.Five null hypotheses have been formulated in this study.In order to verify these hypotheses and achieve the stated aims, achievement test has been constructed. The test consists of five questions explained in details in chapter three. The test is exposed to number of jurors who agreed on its content validity and face validity. Reliability is ensured by using Cronbach Alpha. VII The adopted test has been administrated to the selected sample of 100 hundred EFL first and third year students at the University of Tikrit. After analyzing the results of data the researcher concludes with specific conclusion such as Language acquisition is known as the internalization of formulas and rules used in communication focused on the correct pronunciation of articles is of great value for EFL such an aspect might be neglected. Language acquisition has appeared of two types conscious or subconscious. The first is relevant to the speech production foreign learners have learnt or forgotten in proper usage while the latter is concerned with the internal rules and structures of language. A part from the above classification, syntactic transfer, is basically categorized in to positive and negative. and specific suggestions and recommendations.The present study includes five chapters. Chapter one deals with the introduction of the study. Chapter two is an attempt to present the theoretical background of the study in respect to the English articles system and a review of relevant studies. Chapter three is concerned with presenting the methodology and procedures followed to achieve the aims of the study. Chapter four contains the presentation and discussion of the results. Chapter five presents conclusions, recommendations, and suggestions for further studies. Finally, a bibliography of the reference books used in the present study is introduced, followed by the appendices and an abstract in Arabic

Abstract: تهدف هذه الدراسة الى البحث عن فعالية استخدام تقنية المحاكاة لتدريس طالبات الصف الرابع الاعدادي ولغرض تحقيق هدف الدراسة وضعت الفرضيات الصفرية الثلاث الاتية عند مستوى الدلالة 0.05 : 1 - لا يوجد فرق ذو دلالة احصائية بين متوسط درجات امتحان نصف السنة ومتوسط الامتحان النهائي لطالبات المجموعة الضابطة .2 - لا يوجد فرق ذو دلالة احصائية بين متوسط درجات امتحان نصف السنة والامتحان النهائي لطالبات المجموعة التجريبية .3 - لا يوجد فرق ذو دلالة احصائية بين متوسط درجات طالبات المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في الامتحان النهائي ( التحريري والشفهي ) .تم بناء اختبار تحصيلي (تحريري وشفوي) وعرض على لجنه من المتخصصين لغرض تاكيد صدقه كما استخدم معامل بيرسون لحساب ثبات الاختبار. تكونت عينه الدراسة من 50 طالبه من الصف الرابع الاعدادي حيث اختيرت من اعدادية الخنساء للبنات خلال السنة الدراسية 2011 - 2012 . موزعين على شعبتين (ا) و(ب) وقد كوفئت في بعض المتغيرات المهمة والتي هي : التحصيل الدراسي للوالدين وتحصيل الطلاب في امتحان نصف السنة. يتضمن التصميم التجريبي مجموعتين ; الضابطة والتجريبية بدات التجربة في 19\3\2011 وانتهت في 1\5\2011 . وقامت الباحثة بتدريس الوحدتين الثالثة والرابعة من كتاب اللغة الانكليزية Book VII المقرر تدريسه للطلبة ولكلا المجموعتين . استخدم الاختبار التائي لتحليل البيانات التي تم الحصول عليها . اظهرت نتائج هذه الدراسة بان 1 - لا يوجد فرق ذو دلالة احصائية بين متوسط درجات امتحان نصف السنة ومتوسط الامتحان النهائي لطالبات المجموعة الضابطة .2 - يوجد فرق ذو دلالة احصائية بين متوسط درجات امتحان نصف السنة ومتوسط الامتحان النهائي لطالبات المجموعة التجريبية .3 - يوجد فرق ذو دلالة احصائية بين متوسط درجات طالبات المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في الامتحان النهائي(التحريري والشفهي).وعليه تم قبول الفرضية الاولى ورفضت الفرضيتان الثانية والثالثة . هنالك فرق دال احصائيا بين المجموعتين وان طالبات المجموعة التجريبية افضل من طالبات المجموعة الضابطة وهذا يدل على ان تقنية المحاكاة لها دور مؤثر على ارتفاع تحصيل الطالبات في اللغة الانجليزية. واخيرا ... وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة توصلت الباحثة الى عدد من التوصيات والمقترحات. فيما يلي يعض منها : بعض التوصيات : 1 - يجب ان يتدرب مدرسي ومدرسات المدراس الاعدادية على استخدام مختلف الاساليب التدريسية في تدريس اللغة الانكليزية وخصوصا اسلوب المحاكاة .2 - على مدرسي اللغة ان يتدربوا على كيفية استخدام استخدام اسلوب المحاكاة في المواقف الصفية .بعض المقترحات 1 - اثر بعض الاساليب التدريسية مثل التخطيط القصصي والتجسيد على تحصيل الطلبة في اللغة الانكليزية . 2 - فعالية استخدام اسلوب المحاكاة في تدريس اللغة الانكليزية للمراحل الاخرى , الابتدائية والمتوسطة. | This study aims at determining the effectiveness of using simulation as a technique for teaching English to fourth preparatory school female students .In order to achieve this aim , three hypothesis are formulated : 1 - There is no significant difference between the mean scores on the Mid - year test and that on the Post - test of the control group.2 - There is no significant difference between the mean scores on the Mid - year test and that on the Post - test of the experimental group.3 - There is no significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group and that of the control group , on the achievement test (oral and written). An achievement test (oral and written) is constructed and exposed to a jury of specialists for the purposes of ascertaining its face validity. A Person Correlation Coefficient Formula is applied to calculate the inter scorer reliability . The sample of this study consists of fifty preparatory school female students selected from Al - Kansa'a Secondary School for Girls during the academic year 2011 - 2012. The sample is divided into two groups A and B .Both groups are equalized in the variables of parents' academic level and mid - year exam . The experimental design of the study involves two groups ; control group and experimental group . The experiment started on 19th of February and ended at 1st of May . Both groups are taught units 3 and 4 by the researcher herself. The collected data have been analyzed by using t - test formula .Results show the following : 1 - There is no significant difference between the achievement of the control group in mid - year test and that of the post - test .2 - There is significant difference between the achievement of the experimental group in mid - year test and that of the post - test.3 - There is significance difference between the post - test scores of the experimental group and those of the control group , and in favour of the experimental one.Hence, the first hypothesis is accepted , whereas the second and third ones are rejected. This indicates that simulation has an effective role in students' achievement in English .In the light of the study findings , a number of recommendations and suggestions are put forward .The following are some if them : Recommendations1 - Teachers of preparatory schools should be trained well on how to employ a variety of teaching techniques, specially simulation, in their process of teaching EFL .2 - Teachers of English should be trained on the procedures of implementing simulation inside classroom settings.Suggestions1 - The effect of other EFI teaching techniques, such as ,story mapping and dramatization on students' achievement in English.2 - The effectiveness of using simulation technique in other stages of study, i.e. primary and intermediate schools
