The study of the history of countries depends on several factors and factors, the most important of which is the study of figures that had a great role in making this history, which cannot be completed without going through the study of characters that are a pivotal and fundamental penalty from it, and that the history of the United States of America is replete with many important figures that have emerged on its military field And politics, and contributed in various ways to making that history, as well as contributed to the formation of American society and its social and economic ideas, laws, and internal and external affinities.
Henry Clay is one of the most prominent and prominent American politicians in the early nineteenth century, although he was not elected president, but he had enormous influence in the American Congress, and the most important characteristic of Clay was his rhetorical abilities, and this made his popularity very large in The United States, however, this political leader was also vulnerable to many political attacks at the time humiliated by many enemies during his long career.
Despite the emergence of a lot of literature that dealt with Henry Clay's personality in the United States and elaborated on the details of his personal life and political activities, the Iraqi library lacks an academic study on the subject, and this was what motivated and motivated to choose the subject of the message, and from this standpoint the choice was made On the topic (Henry Clay and his political role in the United States of America 1795-1849)

The fourth chapter dealt with (his political and legislative role 1834-1852), which included six topics, the first topic touched on his legislative role in the Senate between 1834-1836, and the second topic dealt with his legislative role between 1837-1840, and the third topic was devoted to showing Clay's position on the elections The presidential elections of 1840, and the fourth topic highlighted his political role between 1842-1844, his participation in the presidential elections in 1844, and the fifth topic touched on his position on the war with Mexico that erupted between 1846-1848 and his position on the presidential elections 1848, and discussed the topic The sixth legislative role of Henry Clay between 1848 - 1852 .
