Sculpture in the fine and philosophical contemplates, and its role in the postmodernism arts and the evolution and crises of the industrial, capitalist society conditions that accompanied it, in addition, the increasing sense of the artist/ ceramist in creating fine artistic sculptural discourse had contributed in the replacement of the fine artistic view of the ceramics art in general, and the American ceramics in particular, by its openness to the neighboring artistic types, especially the art of sculpture.The research consists of four chapters,The first chapter : the general frame, which include the problem, significance, and the object of the research which is : - Knowing the representations of the sculptural discourse in the contemporary American ceramics.The research ambits was : 1. The objective ambits : studying the ceramic works made in America that carries a sculptural discourse.2. The spatial ambits : the United States of America.3. Time ambits : from 2000 to 2014, because of the large quantities of the ceramics that carries a sculpture theme.The second chapter : theoretical frame, former studies, and the indications made by the theoretical frame, the second chapter included four essays discussed the most important intellectual, philosophical, artistic, and fine contemporary foundations and origins, and what concerns the American ceramic art and its sculptural discourse. The first essay discussed (the knowledge discourse in the postmodernism thinking), the second essay discussed (the fine discourse in the postmodernism arts), the third essay discussed (the sculptural discourse in the American art), while the forth essay discussed (the ceramic discourse in the American art).The third chapter contained the methods of the research consisting the research society, sample, methodology, tool, and analysis of the samples which were (20) contemporary American ceramic art from a research society of (250) ceramic work.The researcher followed a descriptive analytical approach that suits the current research, depending on the indices made by the theoretical frame as a tool to analyze the sample of the research.The forth chapter contained the results of the research, which were : 1. The contemporary American ceramic in its sculptural discourse is not apart from the intellectual and philosophical arguments, its considered an artistic phenomenon that reflects the diverse thinking systems of the contemporary human in general and the American ceramist particularly.2. The contemporary American ceramist had merged, through his sculptural discourse the common objects of the pop art in formulas that changed its common function, to fragment the receiver senses, to erase the significance of those objects and search for different indications that confirms its belonging to the fine and ceramic art especially, in a way that suits with postmodernism discourse.3. In its sculptural discourse, The American ceramic approaches from the optical art technique to form the third dimension, which is the delude, imaginary, and the technical implementation with high skills.4. The value of repetition in the contemporary American ceramic as a positive response to break the monotony and disclose new treatments to the process of the structural and technical formation of the sculptural discourse, which enriches the movement of the sculptural artwork and estrange from the visual stillness.Finally, the researcher concluded the conclusions then made a recommendations and suggestions.

Abstract: فن النحت من الفنون الاكثر تماسا بالحضارات الانسانية لانه فن يمكن ان يطلق عليه الباحث انه فن بيئي المادة والموضوع، بمعنى ان الخامة المستخدمة في النحت متوافرة لاتحتاج الى عناء لاحضارها كالطين والخشب والحجر، فضلا عن استقصائه في متابعة مضامين اجتماعية، ه | Sculpture is of the most fine arts ad hoc with the human civilization as it is the art may the researcher called environmental arty in regards to the subject and material; i.e., the raw material used in sculpture is available getting easily such as clay, wood and stone, in addition to his search for social implications from a side and that fine arts in general and plastic arts in particular are constructive arts depending upon beautification constructive elements ( artistic formation) and one of such that elements is the presence of the man or animal shape so that the sculptor may form singular, duet or more shapes in one artistic work for beautification and ideological aims. The researchers studied one of such this types ( Duet Shape formation) in the contemporary Iraqi Sculpture detecting the building relation within the constructive subject as its importance is merged by attributing it with technical and ideological implications embodied by the ancient man in his artistic work making a substantiation for his persuasion and ceremonies through many raw materials and situations they lived with. Modern sculpture attempts to memorize his ideas , ego and vision through sculpture formations including that of duet forms as outlined as well as that some of which represented dramatically the activity of the scene filled with movement, embodied by divergent modes and ideas having traits and semantics of formative relations reflecting the concepts and ideas of the sculptor towards his environment while it is varied in its formative treatment in spite of the presence of common relations among its elements and then realizing new forms for these relations by which duet shape is formed. It is necessitated to identify this relation analyzing it scientifically within study empiric focusing on the constructive relations realized from shape distribution for the elements, thus the researcher studied and analyzed these elements through its relations of developed formative within the reaction of formative elements. The researchers divided his study into four chapters. The first chapter ( mainframe of the research) concerned with explanation the problem of the research , its importance and the need for which , aiming to outline by analytical study the duet formation of the shape in the contemporary Iraqi sculpture and argued the limits of the research determining the ideological terms through which the researcher derivate a procedural in compliance with the seclusion of the matter and to realize the objective. Second chapter ( Theoretical Study) consisted of three section the first one argued the duet formation in the ancient sculpture ( Iraq, Egypt, Greece and Rome) while the second section argued the due formation of the sculpture shape in the reviviscence era while third one is dedicated to study duet formations of the shape for the international contemporary sculpture. Third chapter ( Methods and Materials) includes the mechanisms of research community , electing its pattern in addition to diagnose the methodology of the analysis , tools of the researches making analytical study for this pattern. Fourth chapter is dedicated for results , discussion, conclusions and recommendations. The most important results are : 1) The Iraqi Contemporary Sculptor insists on the ideological aspect of duet relations never insisted on the shape appearance so that most duet formations appeared with shapes needs for diagnostic traits due to the exorbitance in simplification and reduction.2) It is shown the difficulty of distinguishing between the shape of woman and the shape of man as a constructive relations for duet shape but in some formations through which the femininity traits are appeared for example the conglomerate of the chest by outgoing outshoot resulted from the conglomeration in abstraction and reduction in the formation structure. 3) Creating gaps inside bodies of the formations of the similar relations for both shapes within the formation embodied by the Iraqi contemporary sculptor by areas may take half of formation evidencing the effects of European art in general and Henri Moor ;the English Sculptor in particular. 4) Number of Iraqi Contemporary sculptors used to abstracted man body from arms in addition elongation of the shapes and its meager reduction the skull making it just outgoing merge free from formation traits of the man face so that these formations are referred to the works of Swiss sculptor Alberto Chiakomitti. 5) Stylistic divergence of the Iraqi contemporary sculptor through tracing international works considering the contemporary international empiric and to benefit from in using his elements within self Singularity of real; effects detecting the continuous and developed looking at new styles of formative relations enrichment the artistic movement and the rendezvous culture.6) Sign through its derivatives in the symbol and icon appeared intensively in all samples ( pattern of the research) especially iconic sign representing the real situation but symbolic signs appeared lesser than it relatively while the denotation sign is disappeared slightly. Which confirms that samples of the research are expressive and reductive artistic achievements approaching to the abstraction.7) As the art is deemed the supreme community value in conveying the behaviors of the community trustfully in addition to that the surrounding and the community are the source effecting on the artistic achieved work , thus, their ad hoc with the behavioral values of the community is the truth imagination for these behaviors and the achieved work and the circumstance are related deeply in embodying the folklore surrounding the artistic achieved work especially the sculpture.

Abstract: استهدفت الدراسة الكشف عن مضامين الاساطير العراقية والدلالات الرمزية الاسطورية التي استلهمت في النحت العراقي المعاصر. وهي في اربعة فصول خصص الاول منها الى الاطار المنهجي، الذي شمل مشكلة البحث واهميته وحدوده واهدافه، ثم تحديد لاهم المصطلحات فيه. والفصل الث | This study aimed to know and learn about the contemporary Iraqi sculpture Which inspired by Iraqi legends. and to study these sculptural pieces of art.The study contains four chapters : First chapter explains the importance and need for the study and also it's objectives and scope. The researcher define some important expressions and term used in the study. Second chapter consists four sections : Section one studies the concept of the legend and it's causes of emergence and discusses the relation between and superstitions. Section two study Iraqi legend according to historical periods. The researcher here divides it into tow groups : 1 - Ancient legends.2 - Legends before and after Islam.Section three discusses the relation between legend and sculpture, some examples of sculptural pieces of art relating to some important ancient cultures were also mentioned with a brief presentation of the history of Iraqi sculpture and the effect of legend on it. Section four about the contemporary Iraqi sculpture Chapter three begins in collecting information and photographs about Iraqi sculptural pieces of art which are basically inspired by legends after this scanning of the materialistic evidence of the research was done starting with first work finished in 1950 until the end of 1992. The total number of works was 63 pieces created by 12 Iraqi contemporary sculptures. The researcher selected 20 works out of the whole as specimen for study, and the conclusion he reached resemble direct answers to the objectives of the study, and was introduced together with suggestions and recommendations in chapter four. About the first aimed , there are 63 sculpture works inspired by legends, done by 12 Iraqi sculpture. The number of sculpture works inspired by legend of the first group (ancient Iraqi legend) is 48 sculpture works. And there are 13 pieces sculpture works taken from Iraqi legends of the second group most of them taken from the tales of (thousand nights and night). Scenography is a system of aesthetic to itself to the action of performance in manifesting in its techniques even if its interlinked with the system of its connection to the artistic work as the idea and the concept and emitting of meaning and the mechanism of connection. When the researcher was aware of the scenography in sculpting and looked for it. He found that subject is worth studying for master degree in addition to the increasing of the problem. The researcher tried hard to end that or at least to reduce. Thus, the researcher preferred with all effort to investigate and excavate the prospect in the formal structure for the shape in the post - modernism.This study did not aim at employing post - modernism scenography as a mechanism of description and analysis of the sculpting art only. It also confides it into narrow limits and applications realized and or supposed on the display and applied levels.The researcher managed to shed light through the basis and point of the scientific research and mechanism in its theoretical frame. In the second Chapter his study, the researcher shed light on searching for the concept of scenography and the origin and the hisotricla background for it and the environment as one of the milestones and elements of the scenographic structure in the first theme, and to reveal the history of scenography in the academic and critical references and the points of occupation and the points of agreement and disagreement in language and the application. And to reveal the historical root of the concept and the history of its development and mechanisms in addition to investigating the relationship between it and the other plastic arts and the art of sculpting specifically. In the second theme of studying the basic concept and the philosophical of post - modernism art and the connecting relationship the idea of post - modernism as a philosophy and post - modernism as an application that requires scenography and its reaction in that artistic performance on the level of analysis in the scenography thinking in addition to its stylistic references.The third theme is to reveal the bases and point and trends of post - modernism and its references and the relationship connecting it with the scenography as a mechanism and structure and the showing and display. Abstract: تكون البحث الحالي والموسوم (الابعاد الفنية للنحت المعاصر في بلاد الشام) من اربعة فصول. اختص الفصل الاول بالاطار المنهجي للبحث الذي تناول مشكلة البحث وحدوده وهدفه وتحديد مصطلحاته وتلخصت مشكلة البحث، بالتساؤلات الاتية : هل هناك ابعاد فنية في النحت المعاصر ف | The current research and be marked (technical dimensions of contemporary sculpture in the Levant) of four chapters. Chapter singled out the first systematic framework for the search, which dealt with the problem of research and its borders and its target and determine the terminology and summarized the research problem, the following of questions : Is there a technical dimensions in the contemporary sculpture in the Levant? Is there any effect of these technical dimensions of public taste in the Levant?The first chapter also discussed the importance of research and the need for it, and also contained a goal of current research, (you know.... the technical dimensions of contemporary sculpture in the Levant), either limits Find the period between (1972 - 2014), as well as determine the terms contained in the Title of the study.The second chapter of the theoretical framework and indicators and previous studies, it has dealt : first topic : the technical references in the Levant which is on two axes : the first axis : About civilizations (Phoenician, Canaanite, Aramaic). The second axis : technical references.The second topic dealt with form and content, while the third section of contemporary sculpture has been addressed in the Levant, and Chapter III (research procedures), the research community and a sample search and search tool, as well as research methodology and analysis of the amount of the sample (16) model.The fourth chapter (results) include : results and discussion, conclusions, recommendations and proposals.The most important findings of the researcher : 1. sculptural diversity of subjects in the Levant from realism to abstraction than Sort artistic dimensions with a variety of aesthetic values.2. we find that the self - carving in the Levant resorted to rapid performance in the completion of work after what has been in the search for the essence of things is no longer an interest in simulations actually aspired to as much as in all his research sample models.3. affected Nhato Levant experiences postmodernism, which fell into under Rdaoualpop Art through the execution of the sculptures inspired by the popular tradition.4. invested Nhato Levant worried about the budget as a means Azaarah produced a valuable aesthetic and expressive high.But the conclusions1. the severity of the dimension aesthetically influential in the overall shape of the artwork.2. This artistic change was pave by replace of items and derivation many recent raw as a result of the technology and industrial advance that synchronized with this period , and the artist entered the test operation that leaded him to know the new non - classic items m and study its descriptions and referendum from it , and investment it at the plastic arts, and for what submitted the chance for performance methods have over to the scrutiny and the discovery by his supervision this items. The using of iron, aluminum, plastic, and another various items have leaded to contrary showing at structure of the contemporary sculpture.. Therefore this study (Traditionalism materials at structure of contemporary sculpture ) aimed to knowledge of the effects of the non - classic ore upon the structure of sculpture form, as well as to knowledge of new materials that was used for the contemporary sculpture. This study included four chapter : first chapter was specialized for methodical frame.such as problem of research.that it was abstracted by question about the reason that lead the sculptor to search from new raw to carry out his sculpture works. Are the classic sculpture materials do not respond for technical problem, and new notions? As well as the important ofresearch and its limits was that define between year 1950 up to 2000 , and its aims, then limit the idioms. The second chapter included the theoretical field and previous studies, that formed from three researches, such as the fist about the materials, as it was considered master element at the sculpture formal.the it included study about the widespread classic materials in the sculpture , such as ( clay , bronze, stones, and wood) and showing its effect and its formal and expression ability. The second research included the affects of non - classic raw at the formal system in the historical studies that included stylistic change during the twentieth century , and the third research included the study of the structural relations systems at the sculpture formation.The third chapter included the procedures of the research that its contents the research society such as European and American contemporary sculpture, and sample of research that was formed from (20) samples. It was choose according to the aim of this research. As well as performance of research based upon the analysis form, and this chapter included the following method at sample study as the analytic descriptive method in order to reach to the results, and conclusion that fixed in forth chapter, as below : 1 - The contemporary sculpture have became an achievement direct to the faraway imagination from the classic by using the non - classic item's. Sometime the sculpture structure to be same the building construction, or industrial tools, or scrap heaps.2 - Freedom that was granted by the raw to the sculptor to make him Carry out the sculpture's structure by improvisatory and Spontaneously that indentical with his disposition and his creation.3 - The using of the non - classic materials have produced big structures, specially works of art of ground, that fit with the environment, and it go out this work from gallery.4 - The using of the electronic devices as senser of movement, Transistors, an another in the sculpture ,has changed the classic Structure sculpture exactly, and created a new style of reactive relation between the artistic work with the watcher.
