Abstract: The Problem of the Research : Theoretical aspect in preparation the student(trainee) is considered a main objective of any educational institution, especially technical institutes. But the negligence of other aspects is considered dereliction in preparation the student (trainee), its consequences are reflected on the person and the community in general so that the function of these institutions never determined by got specific results of science and knowledge but it is exceeded to the life in whole aiming to build his personality and increase his efficiency, abilities and skills to perf~rm his duties by himself through creating an intact thought , studied learning and utilize from what he was learned in his practical world. So it can be determined the problem by the following question : 1 Should the summer training at Technical Institutes fulfill the requirements of acquiring the students the required skills for work? The Importance of the Research : The importance of evaluation the performance summer training is through getting the opportunity for each person to be upraised his vocational level in the social, economical and political fields. As to the increase dependence upon organizations, the attention to develop manpower is iricreased so that the output of training system is considered as a vital input infused within the comprehensive national development efforts, the most important output of this systems is that the quality of trainees as they are merged category of students who completed secondary stage either general, vocational or Industrial to be admitted Technical and vocational training institutes for the sake of supporting them with the experiences and different skills. Summer training is considered a complementary part to prepare the student for jobs and different occupations, as it is an important part of rehabilitation program which the student is learned in his specialization prior to his graduation.Here, we find that improvement of education and training , upraise the performance of trainees should be rectified and evaluated to identify the weakness and strength points of training programs through which Technical Institutes Foundation can review its policies and programs especially in the field of training applying the concept of putting the relevant person in the concerned position through holding continuous training programs assisting in providing distinguished and consistent staff. Present research aims to : 1. Build an evaluation tool for the performance of summer training in the five fields (Performance, Work Environment, Bio - physics, Psychological health & Sociology).2. Identify the performance during summer training by the views of graduates.3. Apply a tool to identify the weakness and strength points of its all fields by the views of graduates.Research Determinations : Technical institutes, the graduates of Basrah Technical Institute - Electric Department in particular for the academic years from 1996 to 2000 of male only for the academic year 2004 - 2005.Methods : Study of variables imposed preparation a tool to evaluate the performance of summer training in view of graduates of Technical Institute - Electric Department. Researcher followed the following steps : 1. Prepared open questionnaire form applied on a pattern of 50 graduates of Technical Institutes, through analyzing their responses and considering the previous literatures and studies, it is formed an initial items distributed on five fields ( Performance, WorkEnvironment, Bio - physics, Psychological health , and sociology).2. The items of the tool are subjected to a group of experts and consultants of teaching methods , education and electrics and upon the attitudes of the experts, it is reformed some of which without modifying its contents so that the number of items of the tool is distributed on the above mentioned five fields and thus it is realized the truth of content buy its two types (the apparent and the logic).3. Statistic analysis has been made on a pattern of 80 graduates were elected randomly to extract the distinguishing strength so that it is shown that 87 items out of 101 were distinguished at the evidence level (0.05) but (14) items as to it is never reached the level of statistic evidence. 4. It is extracted the stability by re - test technique so that it is applied the tool on a random pattern of 30 graduates so that the correlation coefficient (95.95) is very high and it can be depended.5. It is performed the final application on the members of main pattern of the research totaled 250 graduates representing 21.46% of the total research community as the application was on 04.04.2005 and ended on 16.05.2005 by the researcher himself through his visiting for the establishments, state departments, public an private sectors to supervise proceeding of application evaluating the performance of summer training in view of graduates of technical institutes.Statistical Means : Researcher used ( percentage, means, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient, T - test and percent weight). Conclusions : The researcher concluded the following : First objective is identified by building a tool for evaluation the performance of summer training so that it is realized through extraction its truth and stability through research methods and pIdreocnetidfyu rthees. second objective which is identifying the performance of summer training so that the means of the pattern totaled 218.85, standard deviation is 34.21. in compare it with the means and standard deviation of the tool totaled 217.5 it is shown that there is a difference between the two means ; i.e., the pattern never received the satisfied level of training prior to the graduation. In respect of the fields of the tool, it is sequenced downwarding using probable means and percent weight as the bio - physics occupied first ranK by a means totaled 3.289 and its percent weight is totaled 82.23% while the sociology occupied second ranK by a means totaled 2.885 and percent weight 72113%. Performance occupied third ranK by a means totaled 2.266 and percent weight totaled 56.62% while the work. environment occupied first rank by a means totaled 2.07 4 and percent weight 51.85%. psychological health occupied fifth and last rank by a means totaled 1.971 and Tpeortacle nntu wmebigehr to f4 9re.2a7l%ize. d items is 62 out off the 87 ones distributed on the five fields of evaluations as follows : In the field of performance , the item titled( Should you practice your specialization during training duration) occupied first rank as its means is 3.2 and percent weight is 80%.• In the field of work environment, the item titled( Training day is interfused by rest times) occupied first rank as its means is 3.025 and percent weight is 75.625%.• In the field of bio - physics , the item titled( Should the smoke of your fellows effects on your performance) occupied first rank as its means is 3.342 and percent weight is 83.55%.• In the field of psychological Health , the item titled( Should you find that the training supporting you with skills for troubleshooting within your specialization) occupied first rank as its means is 3.757 and percent weight is 93.95%.• In the field of sociology , the item titled( Should your relation with the scientific and practical supervisors is good depending upon respect and instructing) occupied first rank as its means is 3.792 and percent weight is 94.8%.After then, it was discussed four items of each field. Recommendations : It is necessity supplying application and training laboratories , furnishing it with all and most modern instrumentation and systems required to realize the technical education process taking in our consideration the future expansions proposed for existing technicalcolleges and institutes. Put the mechanisms of cooperation among colleges, institutes and technical research centers of Arab Homeland for the sake of mutual exchanging of information, experience, from professors and lecturers, missions and visits as well as execution mutual and common programs for studies, researches and training to develop technical institutes and colleges intending to be erected.Perform similar evaluation study could be applied on Engineering and Technical Colleges. Build a program for amended summer training ( such as that proposed by the researcher) and then perform extra studies to identify the performance of trainee students identifying the range of advancing and the points of weakness, if any.

Abstract: هدفت الدراسة الى معرفة اثر انموذج (مارزانو) لابعاد التعلم في تدريس مادة اللغة الانكليزية في التحصيل والتفكير اللفظي لدى طالبات المرحلة الثانوية ومعرفة مدى ارتباط التحصيل في مادة اللغة الانكليزية بالتفكير اللفظي لدى طالبات المرحلة الثانوية في الاختبار الب | The current study aims at finding out the impact of the effect of using Marzano's Dimensions of Learning In The subject of English Language on Achievement and Verbal Reasoning In Secondary School Female Student. To achieve this aim , the following hypotheses are posed : 1 - There is no statistical difference between average means of students in the experimental group taught English Language subject according to Marzano's Dimensions of Learning and students in the control group taught English Language subject according normal method in the post test of Verbal Reasoning. 2 - There is no statistical difference between average means of students in the experimental group taught English Language subject according to Marzano's Dimensions of Learning and students in the control group taught English Language subject according normal method in the post test of Achievement. 3 - There is a correlation between Achievement and Verbal Reasoning.This study includes ( theoretical background ,Marzanos model , Verbal Reasoning and Achievement). Also it deals with previous studies.The equivalent of the two groups is checked regarding asset of variable (age, pre - knowledge test in English and Academic achievement for parents ). To achieve the objectives of the research , the researcher use the experimental design with seizure of partial with post test. The result of the study show the following : 1 - There are statistically significant differences at the level of (o.01) between the experimental group and control group in i achievement. 2 - There are statistically significant differences at the level of (o.01) between the experimental group and control group in i verbal reasoning 3 - There is a correlation between achievement and verbal reasoning. In the light of the results of this study , a set of recommendations and proposals are made by the researcher : - 1. Conduct a study entitled the effectiveness of a training program for teachers of English language according to Marzano's model of teaching in the development of teaching skills.2. - a comparative study between the specimen (Marzano) of the dimensions of learning and other models in the light of the teaching of English teaching material

Without this m eans which man created to relax, he cannot family, tribe, state and empire.Here appears the role of art in the life of individuals and societies in order to cover the whole life which enables them to formulate their ideas aesthetically due to an accumulated skill. They acquire the ability to appreciate man's innovative expressions during different ages. One of those civilization is that of the Mesopotamia which we are not able to recognize it without its antiques and we may forget it.Art has a great effect in our life since it moderates and prepares it to have pure conceptual and aesthetic.Connotatious that are sometimes characterized with guidance and judjement which aim to educate and teach individuals. It is this concept that leads to paying attention to art and artistic herit~; : ~ wether it belong> to Iraq or the t,ra\ : i Nation or the Wc;rld. l [nks c : fi.its maturity cannot be completed and they cannot reach individuals without highly efficient executive means that makes the art education lesson and the art education teacher who has to practise his profession in the spirit of science and culture as aliving pattern which combines the past and the present to be a source of building a future that has the orginilaity of innovation and its aesthetic values.The educational and teaching foundations, with its different orientations, pay attention to art as education and aesthetic values that enable individuals to increase their consciousness l and to reveal their innovations so as to serve countries. One of the practical attention to the importance of the art education teacher and the methods of his training is the focus given upon him. This study has appeared to show, on field, the need to educate and teach the pupils waht fulfil the aim and objectives of the educational and the teachning institutions in Iraq by constructing a criterion for the preparation of art education teacher of which its probelm arises clearly since it lacks (quality and quantity because of the absence of the criteria to be dependent on in his preparation. Also, to make these institutions follow this criteria as a scientific approach to be considered in the progrmmes of the art education teacher preparation to become as a hand - book in his teaching task in intermediate and secondary schools in Iraq according to the aforcesaid situations. Construction of criteria for preparing Art's education teachers in Iraq. 2 - Knowing whether there are differentiations of statistical indication to the importance of the criteria in its final shape. within the individuals of the research sample according to the variant of the level of study as follows : a - Master vs. Doctor; b - Master vs. Bachelor; c - Doctor vs. Bachelor. Limits of the Study and It's ProceduresThe sample of the research is limited to the follwoing : 1 - Teachers of the college of Art Education Babylon University.2 - Teachers of the Department of Art Education in the College of Fine Arts - Baghdad University.3 - Teachers of the Department of Art Education in the College of Teachers - Basrah University.4 - Teachers of the Insitute of fine Arts in Basrah Governorate.5 - Teachers of Art Education in Intermediate and Secondary Schools 111 Basrah Governorate in 1996/1997.The study contains a theoret;cal framework which i1 eludes th~ tea - : hers preparation if! A - ~b and Islamic education and in Iraq. lt also includes the beginnings of the teaching of art education and its development in Iraq and in some of the Arab and world countries(comparison and analysis and some Arab and foreign studies totalling to (10) Arab studies and (9) foreign ones which are helpful to the results of the study methodalogically.In order to obtain the objective of the research, the researcher conducts the following procedures : 1 - A view - point questionnaire was delivered to a sample of Headmasters of the art education teachers totalling (30) headmasters and it includes three questions.2 - A view - point questionnair was prepared and distributed to a sample of teachers of the College of Art Education and the Departments of the Art Education in the Universities of Babylon, Baghdad, Mosul and Basrah which is totalling to (30) teachers.3 - Some previous stuidies and literatures, whose aims deal with the establishing of criteria and standards to develop the curricula and the methods folllow in the programms of teachers preparation, were taken into consideration.4 , A First - Formula questionnaire was prepared consisiting of (119) items distributed as ( 48) items for the scientific field, ( 45) items for the vocational field and (26) items for the cultural field. Then the questionnair was presented to a committee of expertsto prove the credibility of its items.After making the required modifications, it became ready in its final formula containing (104)items distributed as (45) scientific items, (35) vocational items and (24) cultural items, A scale was given to each item represented as (very important, only important, and less important), This scale was applied on the sample of the study which totals to ( 102) individuals distributed as (70) university teachers holding master and doctorate degrees, and (32) teachers of institutes, intermediate and secondary schools holding bechelor dergrees, In order to make sure that the steadiness of the criterion is trustworthy, the half - partitioning method is used since it is a favourable means that is adaptable to the nature of this research, It is calculated by three statistical equations so as to obtain the best degree for the steadiness of the items of the criterion, Thirty forms have been chosen renadomly from the total number of the forms where it valued (0,87) according to Guttman equation, (0,86) according to Rulon equation, and (0, 78)according to pearson equation, It was corrected according to Sperman - Brown equation where it values (0,88), Then the general average of the steadiness of these equations was calculated where it values (0, 87) which is regarded to be the final steadiness of the criterion, Getting this percentage indicates that the criterion has a high degree of steadiness in the response of the individuals of the research sample towards its items,The Statistical Means Used are as Follows : 1 - Percentages,2 - Fischer's equation to acquire the degree of the sharpness of the items,3 - Guttman, Rulon and Pearson equations to obtain the steadiness,4 - Sperman - Brown equation for correction,5 - The mean equation to ohtain the difference of assessment between the replies of the sample of masters and docotors, on the one hand, and the sample of the bachelors on the other hand,6 - T - Test to obtain the objective of the research secpndaly, The Most Important Results of the Research are1 - (39) itmes from the total (45) items of the scientific criterion - art education are taken into consideration, The most important items include the following : a - He shows the importance of art education in the life of individuals and it enables him to clarify it to others,b - He has knowledge about the formations of the islamic and enviromental ornaments to help his pupils to adapt the adequate elements of design, c - He has been acquainted with the philosophy and the educational objectives of Iraq,2 - (33) items from the total (35) items of the vocational criterion - art education areconsideered. The most important items consist of the following : a - He has the ability to convey the artistic skills from and to the learner throug~ the analysis of art works.b - His ability to make the participating pupils effective in writing, imagination and performance in the atrical show.c - He is acquainted very well with different methods of teaching.3 - (22) items from the total (24) items of the cultural criterion - art education ate considered. The most important items include the following.a - He masters well one of the foreign languages in order to read about what is new in the world arts.b - He beleives in the originality of the Iraqi civilization and its artistic heritage.c - He beleives and works to obtain the Arab NAtion objectives through bis artistic works.4 - By the assessment of the mean of the general criterion items to the replies of the study sample, it has appeared that there is an agreement among their view points that the general assessment is about (good and fair). This is indicated by drawings.5 - To obtain the objective of the research secondly, the statistical results indicated that, by u·;ing the T - test, there ar~. no differe : i~itations of statist;cal indication ·vheiher at the level in indication (0.05) or (0.01) between (the sample of the masters and thesample of the docotrs), (the sample of the doctors and the sample of the bachelors) and (the sample of the masters and tile sample of the bachelors). This matter sustains the results of the research in the outcomings of the results of the first objective of thisstudy. The study makes some recommendations of which the most important ones are : l - The necesity to consider the items of the general criterion - art education in th programmes of the preparation of the art educaton teachers.He must pay them enough attention to be within the plan of his curricula in th college and departments of art education. He must give them scales approperiate wit the need of the college or the educational insititution in which he teachs his lesson 2 - These criteria (scientific, vocational and cultural) for the preparation of the education teachers are considered as a complete uint that credits the meaning of t concept of preparation.3 - These art education teachers whose do not graduate from the colleges and departmen of art education should participate in training courses prepared to such purpose order to elevate their scientific artistic cultural potentialities, abilities and efficien yon the light of what appears in the items of this criterion.

The percentage of this random sample constitutes 40% of the original soci Secondly : Means of the study : The researcher uused the leadership behaviour scale of secondary schools hea4 masters and mistresses which he constructed to achhieve his research objectives.Thirdly : Now to test the validity and reliability of the scale : ' ** Validity : The reseacher used three ways to ensure the validity of his scale ; content vaJ lidity , face validity and distingushilg? ** Reliability : Many statistical means were used to investigate the reliability of the scale.Scale stability coefficient was extracted by spli - half ocucording to spareman - Brown formula , it approximates (0,97). According to getman formula , it approximates ((0,98)) and ((0,98)) according to rolson formula. Scale consistency coefficient approac ((0,89)).Fourthly : AppUcatian qf the smfe : After presenting the : items of the scale to the jury and after doing some proced s and the required modifications, the items primarily applied to a random sample of (4 ) healh : nasters to be sure ofv the clarity of the instructions and the interprelation and e meaning of the items. The researcher also applied the scale to another random sample itseached (75) head mascers and mistresses. The reason behind that was to find out the v+.lidity and consistency by statistical means. After proving the above mentioned matterS , the fundamental application of the sc+ ' took place on original sample of (75) head masters and mistresses to measure the leadef - ' ship behaviour level and to know the implication of the differences among the head m~ - ters and mistresses in order to set the comparison.F!fUtly : Statistical Means : The researcher used the following means : 1 - Pcrcentages 2 - Analysis of variance 3 - The coefficient deviation. 4 - Spereman - Browit, Person , Jennan , Rolon , coder Richardson coefficient correlation to find the consist : u cy of the instrument. 5 - The T - test.71te ReS!dts : The results of the present study are summarized as the following : 1 - The secondary school's hedd masters and mistresses have very high leadership behav4 our which proves their efficiency in leading and controlling their schools. ! 2 - There are no differences of statistical significance between the head masters and mis tresses in the general application of the scale except in respect of ((resposibility and skill). Within these two respects , the scale shows significant statistical differences for the sak of the head mistresses.

Abstract: The concept of Social Belonging is one of the most important central concepts of belonging in general. It determined the nature of the individual relationships with groups in all periods of time and everywhere. The importance lies in the social level because it is the excel theme of the groups without which the group loses its firmness specially the latter is group's individuals closeness, which depends on the scope of achievement of the groups to the needs of their individual since that the group did that then it can effect his thoughts and behavior. Every group has standards and values that its individuals must acquire by being one of the group and he can acquire also when belong to certain group cultural inheritance that enable him to interactive positively with his neighbors.Study Objectives : The study is aiming at the following : 1 - Verify the level of the social belonging among the students of the university.2 - Verifying methods of Social Belonging at university students as per variables (sex - specialization - stage) 3 - Designing instructional program for development of Social Belonging among students of the university.Limits of the Study : The study is restricted with a sample of community from College of education I Basra University for Academic Year 2008 - 2009.Procedures of the Study : Verifying the recent objectives of the study to use the measure (Al - Tamimy 1996) for the Social Belonging after verifying the procedures recognition validity and internal coordination and firmness for the measure when measurement is at its final format consisted of 65 paragraphs distributed among (5) aspects.The measurement is applied on the sample that consisted off 450 students (male & female) to verify the level of the feeling with Social Belonging among the students of Collage Education when the medium among the sample is (693,664) and standard deviation (9,334). When the sign was tested for the differential versus assumption medium, the statistics sign for the medium and this means that sample persons had low level somehow of the Social Belonging than that of maintaining the personal relationships with thee others, with emotional assistance and social evaluation and interesting and social comparison.As sequence to the results in the second objective, instructional program was designed according to sample steps (Dousary) for the instructional programs, after determining the needs of the individuals of the sample. The instructional sessions demonstrated according to theoretical strategies (Social Exchange) b are (simulationreincarnation - communication - realizing the role and acting for it - inspiration - social facility - social realization).Thus, throughout the results of the study, researcher recommended : 1 - Get benefit from instructional programs which are designed in this study at instructional centers and units in the university.2 - Training instructors of the stages in the university within developmental courses on using the instructional program to represent the educational context for them with students.3 - Conducting scientific synopses to shed the light on aspects of Social Belonging level reduction among students in the university and verifying reasons of it and developmental methods in feeling with the Social Belonging.4 - Bringing up students' festivals in the field of literature, sport to encourage the citizenship and the community.5 - Making students travels to the universities to enhance the unity among students.6 - Making students publications , advertisement and expressing the national products of students

The style of live which one formalized depends largely on his individual circumstances. if he has a feelingof deficiency for special reason (real or imaginary), the style of his life may tend to compensate or extra compensate this deficiency.Beside the child could. formalize a style to him self similar to some one has as deep impact on him.The ways of breeding the child play an important role in formalizing the style of his life , his thought of him self , the measuring of the right and wrong and his attitudes to words others.consequently , the man's style of life determines the aspect of life he will concentrate on. It also gives the man his identity be\!ause it identifies the way he can treat his problems. the right style of life may approach. man to perfection and live congruously with society. where as the wrong style which results from selfishness and domination may cause the man to behave against the society.The behavior of man may be changed during his life as a result ·of direct requirement of the situation and the long range goals underlying the style life. the style of life remains relatively constant unless he is satisfied with the changes by psychological therapy which involves techniques aim to recognize and direct his goals and modify his beliefs.* The Problem : The following question identifies the problem of the research : - It is possible to modify the socially useless style of life by using counseling programme depending on a variety of techniques in psychological treatment which is draw from idlerian therapy.* Objectives Of The Study : The main aim of the research is to improve the socially useless styles of life of the university students.There are also secondary aims : I.Constructing measurement to the style of life of the university students.2.Establishing counseling programme to improve the socially useless styles life.3.Recognizing the impact of counseling programme on the improvement of socially useless styles of life. The research is confined to the university students of basrah.of the year (1999 - 2000). The research includes male and female academic students distributed on all the educational stages and all the scientific and humanistic specialization in order to construct a tool and declare the styles of life among university students. It also includes a sample of academic female students from the first stage of the year (2000) to accomplish the test of the research. * The Theoretical Framework : The theoretical framework allows this stuoy to state all the theories that explain the styles of life with regard to their negative and positive structure and the ways of treating or improving the inconvenient style. Emphasis is given to Idler's theory : ! : "'ti Idler's therapy because it is a general and variant therapy it takes a shGr\ - time, it is also regarded as a principal therapy on which many knowledge and social strategy depend in order to improve the inconvenient style.* Procedures : A : Tools Of The Study : In order to construct a tool to measure the style of life for the university students ,(73) behavioral situations have been designed in it prior way of choosing from a variety of three choices. The responsive has to choose the alternative that he finds suitable. Themeasurement consists of four secondary measure : the socially useful style contains (self control , activity and effectiveness , social cooperative), the selfish· style ,avoidance style ,and obsession style ,About ( 400) statements have been distributed on an arbitrarynatural sample from the university students (mal and female) which is analyzed statically in order to verify the validity of the tool by using (content validity , structure validity). Also the constant is found by the retest way and anova with regard to the first way , theconstant coefficient is : ( 0/o67, %, 73, 0/o80, %89, 0/o90, 0/o86 ) for the life way styles(self control ,activity and effectiveness, socially cooperative ,selfish, , and avoidance ) respectively then some situations were eliminated because they could be distinguished. so the ultimate measurement contains (60) situation which is distributed on a sample of (2023) students (male and female) to explore the current style of life among the university students.* Bl The Counseling Programme : The counseling programme is constructed on the current model which is based on planning pragmatic ,budget. the programme is designed on the base of Idlerian therapy which contains individual programme through which (180) individual meetings have been hold , about(6) meetings to each and it began on November ,20,1999 - January ,27,2000. the strategy of (playing the role ,the empty chair ,explaining and studying and treating the dream) has been used in the meetings.Each meeting took about 30 - 60 Minutes.The counseling programme also includes a collective programme through which (22) collective meetings have been hold •The strategies used there are (correcting principle, playing the role, lecture ,encouragement ,imagination ,and self control). The meetings began on February 19 - jun,11,2000. Each meetings have taken about half an hour to an hour.* Experimental Design : The before - after test design has been used and it has a control group. The sample of the research has been classified in to six experimental groups and different conditions have been subjected to each group for treatment.The first three groups received the same counseling (individual and collective) but the kinds of activity and implication of activity sours were different depending on the style of life which it follows.As for the other three groups (control) they did not receive any direction. Each of the six groups they consisted of ten female students which were equating in all variables. * The Results : The current study has concluded the following : 1. The result of the study have shown the spread of the life way style (socially useless) among the university students the common is the avoiding style of life,then the selfish style ,finally the obsession style.2. The counseling programme which has been used in this study is proved.·to be effective including the activities and different strategies which is used in improving the socially useless style oflife as the following : A. The getting Style : There are differences distinguished statistically among the marks of the experimental group in the before - after ,style on the basis of getting style of life measurement •• In the after test ,differences distinguished statistically have beenfound among the marks of the experimental and control groups on the measurement.B. The domination style of life : • differences distinguished statistically have been found among the marks of the experimental group in both before - after tests on the measurement of obsession style of life • • There are differences distinguished statistically among the marksof the control group in the after test on the measurement obsession style of life. C. Avoiding style of life : • Differences distinguished statistically have been found among the marks of the experimental group in both after;before tests on the measurement of avoiding style of life.• There are differences statistically distinguished among the marks of the experimental and control groups in the after test on the measurement of avoiding style of life •* In the light of the result of the study it recommends the following : 1. In interest should be given to create social feeling and spread the moral consciousness by using the academic lectures.2. Effective and serious interest should be put on the direction in university andsupply the counseling center with counseling programmes which aim style improve the style of life or the socially useless style

These events represent & index for the existential anxiety. Feeling the threat and the lack of security weaken the intimate social relations. Consequently , the individual feels that he/she is responsible for his/ her life or death. In this case life becomes meaningless for the individual.Secondary school students are strongly associated with existential anxiety if they realize that this stage determined failure or success. This means too much to their self - esteem and capabilities. During this period the student is just a teenage which is a very critical period of life time. He/she is subjected to different behavioral disorders which makes it very important to build a remedial program. Tlte st11dv aims at the {olloH"i11g : Constructing a scale to measure existential anxiety. Identifying the level of existential anxiety in Secondary school students. Identifying a statistical difference between anxiety and any of its fourdimensions in relations to(sex, class grade, study major)(scientific of literary).Designing a remedial program for a selected sample of Secondary school students to reduce the le\·el of existential anxiety. - Applying the program and identifying its results.To achieve the aims of the study, the researcher has constructed two Existential anxiety which consists of 80 items distributed among for dimensions. They are : ( death anxiety , freedom , existential isolation , meaninglessness. The validity and reliability of the scale were approved and it was applied to 400 female and male Secondary school students.2 - The counseling Program : The researcher has constructed a remedial program in accordance with the (five points). It includes : a) Analysis b) Planning c) applicationd) program evolution. e) decision making.different techniques of Psychotherapy have been adopted. The program takes (88) days, (24) group sessions and (38) individual sessions, two session a week. Each session is (90) minute.The researcher has used different statistical tools like qi square , Anova, t - test, mean , sd standard error and Person formula. The results show a high desgree of existential anxiety in Secondary school students. It is higher in female students and develop gradually in relation to the stage of study from the fourth grade to the sixth grade. The results show no significant difference in relation to the study major whether sci en ti fie or I iterary.The results show also that the program has a positive effect in reducing the degree of existential anxiety. Accordingly some recommendations and suggestions are forwarded.

The sample was randomly chosen and was ( 25 % ) from the population and the number of the students was ( 442).Instrtnnents and statistical 1nethods : Two instruments were used in order to accomplish the purposes of this study, first is the scale of parents treatment and vocational interests list. In order to get validity of the instruments, content and face validity were used as well as item analysis. (Thetest - Re - test) was used to get the instruments reliability. Both instruments were found valid and reliable so the next step was application.The statistical computation used to get the results were percentage , the mathematical mean , the standard deviation , persons correlation coefficient.The finding can be summarized as the followings : 1. There were significant differences between thesample according to the variables of sex and field of especially on both instruments. 2.There was relationship between the sample parents treatments and most of their vocational interests.Recommendation and Suqqestions : The researcher recommends the following.I.School counselors must be pervaded to construct programs that could help students to be which motivate them to make their vocational Interests.2.Higher education Institution must develop a new policy selecting students to collages by using some aptitude interests tests.It has been suggested that : A - A similar study must be mad in different areas of the country.B - Using the vocational Interest Inventory and parents treatments scales by school counselors in planning their Interests programs.

The study adds a qualitative and qualitative addition to the previous studies I this field.5 - Show the future importance of such studies for researchers I the field of counseling and children with cancer.6 - Draw the attention of health establishments to use psychological counseling programmes with the patients and their families tomaintain their psychological health. The tools of the research includes the construction of a Stresses scale hich is valid and reliable. A pre test and a post test are used to identify he sample of the study in both groups. The study includes the onstruction of a family counseling programme with some group essions. It includes some selective techniques like giving instructions, iscussion, positive reinforcement, phaticcomm dramatization, union, roblem solving practice, rephrasing and self esteem practice. The rogramme lasts for one month and 24 days with 15 group sessions; two essions per week. Each session takes 45 minutes except for session one hich takes 60 minutes. The procedures of the study are determined to ee its effectiveness in achieving its aims. The postponed test is applied fter 21 days after the end of the programme to ensure the continuation of he effect of the programme. Statistics used includes Man Whitney test, ilcox test, Chi square, Pearson formula, T - test for two independent amples, Alpha - Kronbach formula and median.Statistical interpretation shoes positive changers concerning parents ith pressures during the period between the pre - test and the post - test ith significant difference in favour of those who participate in the rogramme. The experimental group are better than the control group ho have not participated in the programme. The postponed test shows he continuation of the effect of the programme. The researcher arrives at ome conclusions, recommendations and suggestions.Mandatory counseling, which is used in this research, represents one f the most effective tools in dealing with family pressures. The esearcher makes use of different techniques in counseling. It is agreed pon that there is no comprehensive theory that can interpret and analyze he individual's behaviour and motives and can deal with all his living d cultural needs.Accordingly, the research aims at investigating the Stresses found in he sample of the study according to a scale which is constructed for this urpose. Moreover, a counseling and a psychological programme 1s onstructed to see its effect concerning its purpose.The researcher adopts the experimental approach and the experimental esign for the experimental group and the control group with pre and post ests. A sample with cancer infected children is chosen. They suffer from tresses and they are all registered in the oncology department in Basrah rom 2003 to 2007. All of them are regular patients from the southern rovinces in 2008 at the department and are willing to participate in the ounseling programme. They are randomly classified into two groups : xperimental and control with l 0 individuals of parents in each.
