Abstract: The present study aims at investigating the relationship b etween oxidative stress and hyperlipideamia in diabetes mellitus. For this purpose,(120) diabetes patients were chosen (48 type1 patients and 72 type2 patients). This sample of (120) patients was compared with a group of (50) healthy subjects. The malondialdehyde (MDA) (one of the markers of oxidative stress), serum total cholesterol(S.TC),triglycerides (S.TG) high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL), low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL) and very low density lipoprotein triglycerides (VLDL) were all measured via the enzymatic methods. Results indicated a significant increase(p<0.05) in the levels of (MDA),(S.TC),(S.TG),(HDL),(LDL) and (VLDL) in diabetes patients of both types, as compared with healthy subjects. The same fact holds when comparing the two types of patients. A significant increase (p<0.05) was also observed in the levels of (MDA),(S.TC),(S.TG),(HDL),(LDL) and (VLDL) in male and female diabetes patients of type1 as compared with healthy subjects. As for type2 patients the increase in the same values was(p<0.01) as compared with healthy subjects. The comparison of male and female patients showed a significant increase(p<0.05) in the levels of (S.TC),and (VLDL) only in type1. It was also found that age is an influential factor in the criteria of serum lipids and (MDA) levels in patients of both types, except in case of(S.TG)and(VLDL) in type2 patients where age proved irrelevant. Moreover, results indicated that (BMI) has an impact on (MDA),(S.TC),(S.TG),(LDL) and (VLDL) levels. The duration of the disease in patients of both types also produced a significant increase(p=0.05) in (MDA) levels and serum lipids criteria. The complications suffered by the patients because of diabetes also produced a significant increase (p<0.05 - p<0.005) in (MDA) levels and serum lipids criteria as compared with those free of such complications for both types. No significant correlation was found between MDA level and levels of serum lipids in all patients and in both types except(VLDL) in type2. All these results prove the correlative relationship between oxidative stress and serum lipids criteria in diabetes mellitus.

Abstract: تم من خلال هذا العمل تحضير مشتقات 3،1 - اوكسازيبين جديدة تحتوي في تركيبها على مجموعة الازو. الخطوة الاولى تتضمن تحول (4 - ميثوكسي انلين) الى 4 - (داي مثيل امينو) - 3 - ((4 - ميثوكسي فنيل)) داي ازو) بنزلديهايد [Z] عن طريق تفاعل الازدواج مع (4 - N,N - داي مثل امينو بنزلديهايد). الخطوة الثانية تتضمن ادخال مجموعة الديهايد مشتق الازو المحضر[Z] في تفاعل تكاثف مع امينات اولية اورماتية مختلفة (4 - ميثوكسي انلين و4 - هيدروكسي انلين و4 - كلورو انلين و4 - امينو اسيتوفينون و2 - امينو بيرمدين و4 - امينو - N - (بيرمدين - 2 - ايل)بنزين سلفونامايد) بوجود الايثانول المطلق فتم الحصول على مشتقات ازو قواعد شف الجديدة [A6 - A1] على التوالي .اما الخطوة الثالثة فتتضمن مفاعلة مشتقات الايمين الناتجة [A6 - A1]مع كل من انهدريد المالك وانهدريد الفثاليك في البنزين الجاف فتم الحصول على مشتقات حلقية جديدة 3,1 - اوكسازيبين - 7,4 - دايون[A12 - A7] و[A18 - A13] على التوالي وان المخطط [ I ] يوضح خطوات تحضير كافة المركبات. ان جميع المركبات المحضرة شخصت بوساطة درجات الانصهار ومطيافية الاشعة تحت الحمراء والبعض منها شخصت بوساطة مطيافية الرنين النووي المغناطيسي البروتوني وتحليل العناصر الدقيق (كاربون, هيدروجين, نيتروجين). الخطوة الاخيرة تتضمن دراسة الفعالية البايلوجية لبعض المركبات المحضرة ضد نوعين من البكتريا هما : 1 - Staphylococcus aureus (Gram positive).2 - Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Gram negative).وضد نوعين من الفطريات هما : 1 - Aspergillus niger.2 - Penicillium. بعض المركبات كانت تمتلك فعالية تثبيطية عالية ضد البكتريا ولكن بعض المركبات كانت غير فعالة بينما نتائج الفعالية ضد الفطريات اوضحت بان كل المركبات كانت تمتلك فعالية جيدة ضد الفطريات المستخدمة. | In this work new 1,3 - oxazepine derivatives containing azo group have been prepared. The first step, 4 - methoxyaniline was converted to the 4 - (dimethylamino) - 3 - [(4 - methoxy phenyl)diazenyl]benzaldehyde [Z] by coupling reaction with 4 - N,N - dimethlaminobenaldehyde. The second step, aldehyde group of the azo derivative [Z] was condensed with different aromatic primary amines [4 - methoxyaniline, 4 - hedroxyaniline, 4 - chloroaniline, 4 - aminoaceto phenone, 2 - aminopyrimidin and 4 - amino - N - (pyrimidin - 2 - yl)benzenesulfonamide] in the presence of absolute ethanol to give new azo Schiff bases derivatives [A1 - A6] respectively. The third step, the resulting imines derivatives [A1 - A6] were reacted with maleic anhydride and phathalic anhydride in dry benzene to give new 1,3 - oxazepine - 4,7 - dione ring derivatives [A7 - A12] and [A13 - A18] respectively scheme[I]. All these compounds were characterized by melting points and FT.IR spectroscopy, some of them were characterized by 1H - NMR spectroscopy and C.H.N analysis. The last step including study biological activity of some prepared compounds against two types of bacteria : 1. Staphylococcus aureus (Gram positive). 2. Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Gram negative).and against two types of fungi : 1. Aspergillus niger.2. Penicillium. Some compounds showed high inhibition activity against bacteria but other compounds were inactive against same bacteria while the antifungal activity data showed that all compounds exhibited good activity against fungus species.
