Abstract: هذا العمل يركز على تصنيع الخلايا الشمسية المفعلة بالصبغه باستخدام مادة شبه موصله من نوع P بدل من استخدام السائل لغرض معالجة بعض المشاكل منها معالجة التسرب في السائل المستخدم. الى جانب ذلك، فقد تم دراسة وتحضير المواد النانوية التي تلعب دورا هاما في اداء هذا النوع من الخلايا الشمسية, حيث ان هذه المواد القابليه على تحقيق كفاءة تحويل عالية مع الحفاظ على البساطة والكلفة المنخفضة. تتكون الخليه الشمسيه من (ITO/ TiO2 or ZnO /Ru /CuI/ Ag) حيث تم ترسيب المواد النانويه المستخدمه في هذا العمل بواسطة استخدام تقنية الترسيب بالليزر النبضي. واجريت الفحوصات التركيبيه والبصرية والكهربائية لجميع المواد النانويه المستخدمه في تحضير الخليه الشمسيه وكذلك دراسة تاثير عدد نبضات الليزر نيديميوم, التلدين وكفاءة الخليه الشمسيه : - تم فحص اغشية اوكسيد التيتانيوم واوكسيد الزنك النانويه بواسطة حيود الاشعه السينية (XRD) وجد ان تركيبها يتغير من العشوائي الى متعدد التبلور عند التلدين بدرجة حرارة o C450 . اما اغشية ايوديد النحاس فكانت متعددة التبلور بدرجة حرارة الغرفه.اظهرت دراسة طبوغرافية السطح لجميع الاغشية المحضرة بان حجم الحبيبات يزداد وكذلك خشونة السطح تزداد بزيادة عدد نبضات الليزر المسلطه وكذلك زيادة درجة الحرارة.من خلال فحص الخصائص البصريه لجميع الاغشية المحضره وجد ان الامتصاصية تزداد بزيادة عدد نبضات الليزر وكذالك عند زيادة درجة الحرارة.قياسات هول اثبتت ان اغشية اكسيد التيتانيوم واكسيد الزنك هي من نوع n - type بينما اغشية ايوديد النحاس فهي من نوع p - type . تم ملاحظة ان كثافة حاملات الشحنه تزداد وتحركيه هول تقل بوضوح مع زيادة عدد نبضات الليزر.تم تصنيع القطب الضوئي للخلايا الشمسيه المفعلة بالصبغه من مادة اوكسيد التيتانيوم واوكسيد الزنك النانويه, حيث لوحظ في حالة وجود اوكسيد التيتانيوم او اكسيد الزنك فان القطب الضوئي يعتمد على زيادة عدد النبضات وبالتالي اعتماد كفاءة الخليه الشمسية على عدد النبضات بسبب زيادة السمك, حيث لوحظ عندما كان عدد النبضات المسلطة 200 نبضه فان كفاءة الخليه الشمسيه كانت %2.115) ) وعندمزااد عدد النبضات الى 800 نبضه زادت كذالك كفاءة الخليه الشمسيه الى ( 5.654%) . ان مادة اوكسيد التيتانيوم هي افضل من اوكسيد الزنك حيث كانت كفاءة الخليه في حالة استخدام مادة التيتانيوم اعلى من كفاءة الخليه في حالة استخدام مادة اوكسيد الزنك حيث لوحظ عند استخدام 800 نبضه بلغت كفاءة الخلية الشمسية الى 5.654% في حالة استخدام مادة اوكسيد التيتانيوم ولكن انخفضت الكفاءة الى 4.231% عند استخدام مادة اوكسيد الزنك. وايضا تم وضع مادة ايوديد النحاس مع اوكسيد التيتانيوم ومع اوكسيد الزنك وكان اوكسيد التيتانيوم افضل من اوكسيد لزنك نتيجة لزيادة الكفاءة. | In a solid state dye - sensitized solar cell the electrolyte is replaced by a p - type semiconductor avoiding problems of leakage of liquid electrolytes. During this work the solar blend from (ITO / TiO2 or ZnO/ Ru / CuI / Ag) is fabricated. The thin films were prepared by pulse laser deposition (PLD) technique and deposited on (ITO) glass substrate. The structural, optical and electrical properties of all samples where studied. XRD analysis indicated that the structure of TiO2 and ZnO thin film change from amorphous to polycrystalline if annealed to 450 Co . XRD analysis shows the CuI at room temperature is polycrystalline. The morphology of surface, found the grain size and roughness of TiO2, ZnO and CuI thin film increase as the number of Nd : YAG laser pulse and temperature increased. Optical properties investigation of TiO2, ZnO and CuI thin film showed that as the number of Nd : YAG laser pulse and temperature increase that lead to increase in absorption. Hall effect measurement prove that TiO2 and ZnO are N - type while CuI is P - type semiconductor, as the number of Nd : YAG laser pulses and temperature increase the carrier concentration nH increase while the mobility µH decrease. The I - V characteristics of the fabricated solar cell is measure , it can be noticed that the photocurrent collected from the TiO2 or ZnO is depending on the number of pulses. The increase in the number of the pulses resulting increase in the photocurrent, indicating the dependence of current collection efficiency on number of pulses. In the same material (TiO2) can be noted the number of pulses equal to 200 the conversion efficiency equal to 2.115 % while increase number of pulse to 800 pulse the conversion efficiency increase up to the 5.654 % from this value it can be observed the conversion efficiency increases when the number of the pulses increasing. Also when using ZnO material it observed that the conversion efficiency depend on the number of pulses when the number of pulses equal to 200 the conversion efficiency equal to 1.144 % while increasing the number of the pulses to 800 pulse the conversion efficiency increase up to the 4.231%, as well as when use TiO2 the efficiency increase more than the with use the ZnO. It can be observed that the use of CuI in solar cell the efficiency depend on the number of pulses , increase with increasing number of pulses. I - V parameter of the solar cell with different number of pulse for CuI thin film, can be observe when use the CuI with TiO2the conversion efficiency is higher from the use CuI with ZnO, the value of conversion efficiency when use CuI with TiO2 at 800 pulses up to rage 5.192%, while when use CuI with ZnO the value of conversion efficiency at 800 pulse equal to 3.654% from this value can be conclusion the efficiency of the TiO2 is up from the efficiency of ZnO

مقارنة نظرية بين HgCdTe وAlGaAs لنظامي البئر الكمي الليزري ذو التركيبين غير المتجانسين == Theoretical Comparison between HgCdTe and AlGaAs Heterostructure Quantum Well Laser Systems

Abstract: هذا البحث يصف مقارنة نظرية بين نظامي ولليزر البئر الكمي ذو التركيب غير المتجانس. حيث تم دراسة تاثير العوامل المختلفة لهذا التركيب مثل عرض البئر وعرض الحاجز للبئر الكمي المفرد والمتعدد على عوامل الليزرمثل عامل التقيد البصري وتيار العتبة وكثافة تيار العتبة والربح البصري وقدرة الخرج والكفاءة . بالاضافة الى دراسة كثافة الحالات للبئر الكمي.افضل قيمة لعامل التقييد البصري (0.308) للتركيب ذو ثلاثة ابار كمية و(W=21.5nm) و(0.0224) للتركيب ذو خمسة ابار كمية و(W=11.3nm). عامل التقيد له تحسن كبير في التركيب المتعدد الابار افضل من التركيب ذو البئر الكمي المفرد . واظهرت النتائج ان عامل التقييد للتركيب المتعدد الابار اكبر منه للبئر الكمي المنفرد بمقدار 18 مرة للتركيب وبمقدار 25 مرة للتركيب . هذا التحقيق لتحسين عمل نبيطة الليزر دايود من خلال تاثير عامل التقييد البصري على الربح وتيار العتبة والقدرة الخارجة والكفاءة تحت الانحياز الامامي في المنطقه الفعالة، كانت كثافة تيار العتبة ووكفاءة (89% ل و97% لـ ) | This work is description of theoretical comparison between two systems and for heterostructure quantum well laser. Where studied the effects of the variation parameters for this structure such as a well width, barrier width for Single and Multi - Quantum Well, on laser parameters such as optical confinement factor, threshold current, threshold current density, optical gain, output power and efficiency. In addition we studied the density of states for quantum well.The optical confinement factor has the best value (0.308) for 3QWs at (W=21.5nm) and (0.0224) for 5QWs at (W=11.3nm). It introduced a significant improvement in MQW is much higher than SQW for two systems. The results showed that optical confinement factor of 3QW are much higher (by a factor 18) for and (by a factor 25) for 5QW, from optical confinement factor of SQW. This investigated for improve the work of laser diode device through the effect of optical confinement factor on the gain, threshold current, output power and efficiency under forward bias in active region, where threshold current density , with efficiency (89%for and 97% for )

تحضير ودراسة الخواص الطيفيه الى الوسط الليزري الفعال Er : TiO باستخدام تقانة الصول - جل == Preparation and Study of the Spectroscopic Properties of Er : TiO2 Laser Active Medium using Sol - Gel Technique

Abstract: ions Doped nano particular titanium dioxide was prepared via sol - gel method under varying conditions (with doping rates equal to 1.24%wt, 2.65%wt, 3.78%wt, 5.05%wt and 6.31%wt). The structure, morphological and spectroscopic properties of prepared doped samples were investigated by a variety of techniques, including XRD, AFM , UV - Visible spectroscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy.XRD analysis shows that TiO2 prepared samples have amorphous structure turn to polycrystalline anatase structure after annealing process. The lattice constant parameters 'a' and 'c' of the tetragonal lattice anatase TiO2 powder has been calculated; the results showed that the value of 'a' remains essentially unchanged, while the lattice constant 'c' have slightly increased at lower doping rate then become stable at higher doping rate. This is due to a combination of interstitial and substitutional accommodation of the dopant ions.The FTIR spectra for pure and doped samples after annealing process show a single transition peak at wave number around 1200cm - 1 and 1102 cm - 1 respectively. The wavelength of high transition rate of this peak depends on Er3+ concentrations. By Comparing with wavelength of high transition rate of pure TiO2 sample, slightly peak wavelength increments shift occur with increment of doping concentration rate. FTIR spectra give a good indication in direction of synthesis of optical band - pass filter at a wavelength around 9.07μm (~1102 cm - 1).Judd - Ofelt analysis is performed to calculate the three Judd - ofelt of parameters; Ω2, Ω4 and Ω6. From the absorption spectra, the radiative transition probabilities A(J;J’), radiative lifetime τrad and fluorescence branching ratioare calculated for each excited upper manifolds states of Er3+ .A photoluminescence peaks was recorded at wavelength around to 498nm, 533nm and 1533 nm. The emission cross - section σem for prepared samples are calculated. It was founds that sample with doping rate 5.05%wt have high σem values in compares with other samples, and it’s value is close to those value of Er : Glass.According to the spectroscopic properties of doped samples, it could be concluded that Er : TiO2 has the potential to be a laser mat

Abstract: تتضمن الدراسة تاثير الاضافات (SrO or Y2O3 or Sb2O3) على الخواص التركيبية والكهربائيه للمركب الفائق التوصيل . [Hg 1223] تم حضير النماذج الاتيه HgBa2 - xSbxCa2Cu3O8+δ) وHgBa2 - xYxCa2Cu3O8+δو (HgBa2 - xSrxCa2Cu3O8+δ ولقيم x=0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 بطريقه تفاعل الحاله الصلبة.وقد درس الخصائص التركب البلوري باستخدام حيود الاشعة السينية ( XRD ) واظهرتحليل حيود الاشعة السينية ان جميع العينات ذات تركيب (tetragonal) تحوي على اطوارتركيبه فائقه التوصيل منخفضة (1212و1201) وعالية (1223) , وان النسب الطوريه ) نسبه الطورالعالي 1223) تزداد عند الاستبدال. كذلك وجد بان قيمة الثابت الشبيكة (c) يقل عند استبدال (SrO or Y2O3 or Sb2O3) في موقع الباريوم.حيث ان قيمه ثابت الشبيكه c للمركب HgBa2 - x(Sr or Sb or Y)x Ca2Cu3O8+δ ل x=0 هي c=15.75 ,في حين عند استبدال Srتنخفض قيمه ثابت الشبيكه cالى c=15.3510 (x=0.1), 15.3811 (x=0.2), 15.4431 (x=0.3),كذلك تنخفض قيمه ثابت c عند استبدال Sbالى 15.3417 (x=0.1), 15.4274 (0.2), 15.4432 (x=0.3).عند استبدال Yتنخفض قيمه ثابت الشبيكه cالى15.353 (x=0.1), 15.397 (0.2), 15.473 (x=0.3). . لحساب درجه الحراره الحرجه تم دراسة المقاوميه الكهربائيه باستخدام تقنيه القطاب الاربعة, حيث وجد ان درجه الحرارة الحرجه تزاد عند استبدال SrO وY2O3 وSb2O في موقع الباريوم وان اعلى درجه حرارة حرجة تم الحصول عليها عند استبدال Srوهي 138 كلفن. في درجة حرارة الغرفة تم قياس ثابت العزل الكهربائي كداله للتردد في المدى (Hz50 - 1MHZ), قد وجد ان ثابت العزل الكهربائي للتردد HZ 50 هو 45.489، بينما عند استبدال (Sr)ينخفض ثابت العزل الكهربائي الى 45.1715 (x=0.1)، 24،2123 (0.2x=) ,16.82781313 (x=0.3)، وانخفض ايضا ثابت العزل الكهربائي عند استبدال (Sb) الى 12،708 (x=0.1)، 10.339 (0.2x=) ,10.816 (x=0.3) لكن عند استبدال (Y) ثابت العزل الكهربائي يزداد الى 63.3682 (x=0.1) الى 26،378 (x=0.3). | The present thesis includes effect of (SrO, Y2O3 and Sb2O3) substatution on the structural and electrical properties of the [ Hg - 1223] compounds. Which have prepared the superconducting compounds HgBa2Ca2Cu3O8+δ ,HgBa2 - xYxCa2Cu3O8+δ, HgBa2 - xSbxCa2Cu3O8+δ and HgBa2 - xSrxCa2Cu3O8+δ (x=0.1,0.2,0.3) by useing Solid state reaction method. The crystal structures for all the specimen have been determined by of X - ray diffraction. Shows the XRD that all specimen have tetragonal structures correspond to the high [ Hg - 1223] and low - phase[ Hg - 1201 and Hg - 1212], and there is a decrease in c - parameter value when substituted of (Sb2O3 or SrO or Y2O3) in Barium site, where that c - parameter value of HgBa2 - x(Sr or Sb)x Ca2Cu3O8+δ for x= 0 is c=15.75, while at substatution (Sr) decreased c - parameter value to c=15.3510 (x=0.1), 15.3811 (x=0.2), 15.4431 (x=0.3), also decreased c - parameter value at substatution (Sb) to 15.3417 (x=0.1) , 15.4274 (0.2) and 15.4432 (x=0.3), at substatution (Y) decreased c - parameter value to 15.353 (x=0.1) , 15.397 (0.2) and 15.473 (x=0.3). while the volume fraction of the high - Tc phase increased with the increase of (Sb2O3 or SrO or Y2O3) content. Electrical resistivity was used to find the critical temperature using the four - probe technique, found that transition temperature which it increased when substituted (Sb2O3 or SrO or Y2O3), and we get a highest critical temperature is 138k. The dielectric constant have been measured and is a function of applied frequencies ( range of 50 Hz to 1MHz) at room temperature HgBa2 - x(Sr or Sb)x Ca2Cu3O8+δ for x= 0. It was found that the dielectric constant of at the frequency 50Hz is 45.489 , while at addition(Sr) decreased dielectric constant are 45.1715 (x=0.1) , 24.2123(0.2) and 16.82781313 (x=0.3),also decreased dielectric constant at addition(Sb) to 12.708 (x=0.1) , 10.339(0.2) and 10.816 (x=0.3).but when addition(Y) dielectric constant increasing are 63.3682 (x=0.1) to 26.378 (x=0.3). It was found that dielectric loss factor (tan) of all specimens decreased with the increase of frequency.

تصنيع ودراسة الخصائص الفوتوفولتائة للوصلة TiO2 (1 - x) Bix/Si بواسطة الترسيب بالليزر النبضي == Synthesize and Characterization of TiO2(1 - x)Bix/Si Photovoltaic by Pulses Laser Deposition

Abstract: تم في هذا البحث استخدام طريقة الترسيب بالليزر النبضيPLD بواسطة ليزر Nd : YAG ذي الطول الموجي nm1064λ= وبمعدل تكرار Hz6 وفترة نبضة ns10 لترسيب اغشية رقيقة بنوعية عالية لثنائي اوكسيد التيتانيوم النقية والمشوبه بالبزموث وبنسب وزنية مختلفة (0, 3, 5, 7, 9) % تم الترسيب على قواعد زجاجيه ورقائق السليكون وذلك لدراسة تاثير التشويب على كل من الخصائص الفيزيائية لاغشية ثنائي اوكسيد التيتانيوم، وثم قياس خواص الكاشف TiO2 : Bi/ Si..بينت قياسات حيود الاشعه السينيه لاغشية ثنائي اوكسيد التيتانيوم النقية والمشوبة بنسب مختلفة (0, 3, 5, 7, 9) % بالبزموث بان هذه الاغشية تمتلك تركيب عشوائي للاغشية النقية تتحول الى متعدد التبلور عند التشويب والتلدين وذات تطابق جيد مع القمم القياسية لطوري Anatase وRutile وكان الاتجاه السائد للحبيبات هو باتجاه (110) Rutile مع زيادة التبلور بزيادة نسبة التشويب وخاصة لطور ال (Rutile)حتى نسبة 7% ومن ثم يتناقص عند نسبة التشويب 9% مع ظهور قمم صغيرة مطابقة لقمم البزموث . كذلك ازدياد درجة التبلور وخصوصا للطور (Rutile)عند زيادة درجة حرارة التلدين من درجة حرارة الغرفة الى 525 كلفن.تبين من دراسة سطح الاغشية بواسطة مجهر القوى الذريه ان الحجم الحبيبي يزداد بزيادة التشويب ثم يتناقص عند نسبة التشويب 9%. بينت دراسة اطياف النفاذية في مدى الطول الموجي ( nm1100 - 300) ان قيمة النفاذية لاغشية TiO2 النقية عند الطول الموجي 500nm تساوي 52.4 % وتناقصت عند التشويب بالبزموث , كذلك فقد وجد ان فجوة الطاقة البصريه لاغشية اوكيسد التيتانيوم النقية 3.7 الكترون فولت وقلت عند التشويب حيث تصل الى 2.2 الكترون فولت عند نسبة تشويب % 9.بينت دراسة الخصائص الكهربائية لاغشية ثنائي اوكسيد التيتانيوم النقية والمشوبة المتمثلة بتوصلية التيار المستمر في مدى درجة حرارة K(473 - 303) ,ان هذه الاغشية تمتلك طاقتا تنشيط وبزيادة نسب التشويب تقل قيمها وتزداد التوصيلية، ومن نتائج تاثير هول لتحديد نوع الحاملات يتضح بان كافة الاغشية المحضرة هي ذات حاملات من نوع السالب وبزيادة نسب التشويب والتلدين تزداد كثافة حاملات الشحنة وتتناقص التحركية. تزداد قيمة الاستجابية والكفاءة والكشفية النوعية لكاشف ال TiO2 : Bi/Siمع التلدين ومع زيادة نسبة التشويب بالبزموث من 0 - 7% ثم تقل عند نسبة 9% بينما تتصرف القدرة المكافئة للضوضاء عكس ذلك. تصل الاستجابية الى قمة عند 0.3 مايكرومتر ل TiO2النقية تتزحزح الى 0.6 عند زيادة نسبة البزموث الى 9% والى 0.4 عند التلدين بدرجة 523 كلفن كنتيجة لنقصان فجوة الطاقة | Pulse laser deposition is used in this research by Nd : YAG laser with λ=1064 nm average frequency, 6 Hz and pulse duration 10 nm) to deposit pure and content TiO2 thin films with Bismuth at different ratio (0, 3, 5, 7,and 9)wt. % on glass and Silicon wafer substrates to study the effect of content on the physical properties of TiO2 thin films and then study the TiO2 : Bi/ Si detector characteristics.X - ray diffraction pattern measurements for pure and contented titanium dioxide films with different content ratio of Bi (0, 3, 5, 7 and 9)% show that these films amorphous structure converted to polycrystalline structure with annealing and content and have a good identically with standard peaks for Anatase and Rutile phases. The preferred orientation is along (110) direction for Rutile. The crystallinity of the films increase with increasing content ratio to 7% Bi and specially for rutile phase then decrease at 9%. The crystallinety went up when annealing temperature increases from RT to 525K.From Atomic Force Spectroscope, a topography of prepared films show an increment in average diameter with content ratio then it started to decrease when it reach 9%.UV - visible spectra from 300 to 1100 nm shows that the pure TiO2 film has 52.4% transmittance at 500 nm wavelength. The transmittance decreases with increasing of content ratio with Bi. The optical energy gap for pure TiO2 film is about 3.7 eV and decrease with content until it reaches 2.2 eV at 9% Bi content.The results of electrical properties are represented by DC conductivity in temperature range (303 - 473) K for pure and contented TiO2 films show that these films have two activation energies and with increasing content ratio, these activation energies decrease and the conductivity decreases, as well Hall effect measurements show that all films have n - type charge carriers and its concentration increases and the mobility decreases with content and annealing.The responsivity, quantum efficiency and the specific detectivity for TiO2 : Bi/Si detector increase with annealing and with increase Bi content from 0 to 7% then decrease at 9% , while the NEP has inverse behavior. The responsivity reached peak at λ= 0.3 μm for pure TiO2 and this peak shift to 0.6 μm when Bi content increase to 9% and shifted to 0.4 μm when annealed at 523 K as a results of decreasing the energy gap

(MWCNTs, COOH - MWCNTs, short - MWCNTs and DWCNTs) .انابيب الكاربون النانويه رسبت بتقنيه (dip coating) و((drop casting لتحضير اغشية انابيب الكاربون النانوية متعدد الجدران على قاعده سليكون مسامي من نوع n و. p تم تبخير اقطاب الالمنيوم على اغشيه انابيب الكاربون النانوية لتصنيع كاشف يعمل في منطقه الاشعة تحت الحمراء البعيده. تم دراسه الخواص التركيبيه والطبوغرافية والبصريه وحسابات هول لهذه الاغشيه المصنعة . تم فحص الخواص التركيبه لغشاءMWCNTs باستخدام حيود الاشعه السينيه (XRD) واظهرت النتائج ان له تركيب متعدد االتبلور وشكله سداسي والغالب كان باتجاه (002). مجهر القوة الذري ((AFM تم فية التركيز على تشخيص خواص السليكون المسامي مع انابيب الكاربون النانوية متعددة الجدران. وجد ان الفلم له توزيع سطح متجانس مما يشير الى التوزيع الجيد لانابيب الكاربون النانوية فوق النتؤات النانوية للسليكون. تم تعين معدل الحجم الحبيبي وكانت بحدود 87.05 nm . المجهر الالكتروني الماسح (SEM)استخدم لدراسة طوبوغرافية اغشيه انابيب الكاربون النانوية متعددة الجدران ووجد ان هذه الاغشيه متجانسة ولاتوجد فيها اية تكتلات او شقوق .فجوة الطاقه البصرية في المنطقة تحت الحمراء تم ايجادها من فحص FTIR وكانت فجوة الطاقة0.12 eV. دراسة طيف رامان ولانابيب الكاربون النانوية متعددة الجدران, بينت ان الطيف يتحدد بثلاثة انواع من الحزم D وG وPRM .وجدن الخط (D) وجد انه يقع عند 1561.62 cm - 1 والتي تشير الى عدم الانتظام بسبب العيوب وتقوس لشبيكه انابيب الكاربون متعددة الجدران بينما الخط (G) يقع بحدود 1750 cm - 1 ويكون نتيجه اهتزازات في اواصر C - C الخط الثالث PRMكانت تقع عن2700 cm - 1, هذه الحزم ممكن استخدامها لتقدير اي عيوب في الكاربون. نسبه الشدة D/G تساوي 1.135 . مطياف الاشعه تحت الحمراء استخدم لدراسة طيف انابيب الكاربون النانوية وللبوليمر والصبغة وظهرت امتصاصية جيده لانابيب الكاربون النانوية عند الطول الموجي 10.6 µm والذي يقع ضمن منطقة تحت الحمراء البعيدة ممايجعلها اختيار جيد لتطبيقات الاشعة تحت الحمراء. اظهرت قياسات تاثير هول ان انابيب الكاربون متعدد الجدران المرسبة على قاعدة السليكون المسامي هي من نوع شبه الموصل الموجب p - type)) ولها توصلية عالية. خصائص التيار - فولتيه واستجابيه الكاشف المصنع قيست عند الظلام والاضاءة لهذه الاغشيه بواسطه التشعيع بليزر ثاني اوكسيد الكاربون بطول موجي 10.6µm وبقدرة 2.5 W و2.2 . استجابية وخصائص كاشف التوصيل الضوئي تم تحسينها عن طريق تغطية افلام انابيب الكاربون النانوية متعدد الجدران بطبقة سمكها0.1mm من البوليمرات polyanilin وpoly methyl acrylae وبالاضافة الى صبغة methylene blue هذه الانواع من البوليمرات المطعمة بالصبغه تعتبر كمعالجة سطحية لغشاء الكاشف والتي تزيد بشدة من الاستجابيه الضوئيه لكاشف اشعه تحت الحمراء البعيدة.خصائص الكاشف (الكشفيه , الربح ,الاستجابه , القدره المكافئه للضوضاء ) حسبت قبل وبعد عملية الطلاء بالبوليمر ووجد ان الربح يزداد بحدود 25 مره اكثر من النماذج غير المطعمة .بينما الكشفيه ازدادت من (cm.Hz^1/2)/W 107 الى 1011(cm.Hz^1/2)/W بعد طلائها بالبوليمر .النتائج اظهرت ان الاستجابيه تزداد اكثر من الاستجابيه لاغشيه الكاربون النانوية غيرالمطعمه وتصل الى 0.0177 A/W لنوع انابيب الكاربون متعدد الجدران من نوع شبه الموصل السالب المحضر بطريقه (drop by drop ) وبينما اعلى الكشفية النوعيه بعد اضافه البوليمرات المطعمه بالصبغه كانت 7.08*1011 (cm.Hz^1/2)/W في حالة انابيب الكاربون متعدد الجدران لنوع شبه موصل السالب محضر بطريقه (dip coating) .هذه القيم تعطي اثبات لتاثير البوليمر في تحسين خصائص كاشف التوصيل الضوئي الاشعة تحت الحمراء البعيدة تم التحقق من تاثير تغطية اوتطعيم افلام انابيب الكاربون النانوية بالبوليمر على زمن الاستجابة الكاشف ووجد ان زمن النهوض كان 1.42ms , زمن الاستجابية كان 2.14ms بينمزامن الهبوط كان 3.92ms . | In this study the infrared photoconductive detectors works at far infrared region and at room temperature were fabricated. The detector fabricated using four types of carbon nanotubes CNTs (MWCNTs, COOH - MWCNTs, short - MWCNTs and DWCNTs).The carbon nontubes suspension is deposited by dip coating and drop - casting techniques to prepare thin films of CNTs. These films are grown on porous silicon (PSi) substrates of n - type and p - type Si. The aluminum electrodes were evaporated on the CNTs film to fabricate the far IR detectors.The structural, morphological, optical properties and Hall measurements of the film were studied. The structure of the MWCNTs film is examined by X - ray diffraction (XRD) and found to be polycrystalline of hexagonal structure with strong orientation at (002). The AFM studies are focused on the characterization of the PSi - CNTs and found it had a good and uniform surface homegensity which gives a good indicator for formation of the MWCNTs over the nanospikes of Si. The average particle size was determined and found to be 87.05 nm. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) technique has been applied to study the morphology of the deposited MWCNTs film. The results shows that the film are homogeneous and does not have areas with clusters or cracks.The optical energy gap in the IR region was calculated from FTIR spectrum and found to be 0.12 eV. From Raman shift spectrum for the MWCNTs, it was found that the spectrum is dominated by three typical lines; D - band, and G - band, and RPM band. The D - line is located about 1561.62 cm - 1 which assigned to the disorder induced by defects and curvature in the nanotube lattice, while G - line is located about 1750 cm - 1 due to the in - plane vibration of the C - C bonds. The RPM band is located at 2700 cm - 1 . These bands can be used to evaluate the extent of any carbon - containing defects. The D/G intensity ratio was 1.135. FTIR spectrophotometer was used to study the infrared spectrum of CNTs, polymers and Methylene Blue dye, which appear that CNTs have good absorbance in the wavelength of 10.6 µm. This is mean that these materials are very good candidate for IR applications. Hall Effect measurements show that the carbon nanotubes deposited on porous silicon substrate has a p - type semiconductor behavior and high conductivity. The I - V characteristics and the photoresponsivity of the fabricated detector are measured at dark and under illumination for CNTs film by IR radiation from CO2 laser of 10.6µm wavelength and power of 2.2 and 2.5W. The photoresponse and figures of merit of the photoconductive detector is improved by coating (functionalized) the CNTs films with layer of 0.1 mm of the blend polyaniline, polymethylmeth acrylate and methylene blue dye. This type of polymer coating can be considered as a surface treatment of the detector film, which highly increases the photoresponse and specific detectivity of the fabricated CNTs IR detector. The figure of mertis (Rλ, G, NEP and D*) were calculated before and after functionalization process. It is found that is increased in about 25 time than that for uncoated samples, while the specific detectivity was increased from order of 10+7 (cm.Hz1/2)/W to 10+11 (cm.Hz1/2)/W after coated with polymer.These values give an improve for the effect of polymer on the enhancement of the performance of IR photoconductive detector. The effects of the coating CNTs film with polymer on the response time of the detector investigated and found that the rise time was 1.428 ms, response time 2.14 ms while the fall time was 3.92ms .

Abstract: The current study included treating a theory of general derivation equation coefficients output laser's power ( ) by using the analytical solution of the rate equations that included the transition factor ( ), in which the losses scattering be neglected for a laser system when the active material is an optical fiber, its core is silica glass and Yb3+ - doped.While its resonant cavity it resonator Fabry - Perot, and it is pumping through one end of the optical fiber, while the Continuous Wave (CW) laser emission from the other end.In this study, it has been selected pumping wavelength ( 920*10 - 9m) and lasing wavelength ( 1090*10 - 9m) for this middle effective as an example of a typical plan to pump quasi four levels to find a numerical solution of the equation of the output laser which have been derived by programmable coefficients of this equation matlab language (version 8.1) this happened, after the coefficient ( ) has been calculated for all these laser transitions of this middle effective when it has been pumped ( ) as mention above.The simulation results for this laser system have presented that since the optical fiber is Single Clad Fiber (SCF) and a design of (Lycom ) type, it has been found that the concentration of the type (CorActive) is the highest value for obtaining high efficiency.The laser output power ( ) has been drops linearly by the increasing of core optical fiber radius, while it increases linearly with the increasing of the length of optical fiber, the laser output mirror reflectivity, pumping power, it is the highest values when using the optical fiber Single Mode (SM).In case of the optical fiber is Double Clad Fiber (DCF) and the design of type Large Mode Area (LMA), the ( ) decreases with increasing radius of the core of the optical fiber, while increases with each of the length of optical fiber and pumping power.In addition to that it has been found that ( ) increases linearly with the increasing pumping power whether the inner clad fiber shape is a Rectangle or Square or Circular, and that, the value of laser output power and efficiency are higher in the case of a Rectangular shape.

تحضير SnO2 النانوي ودراسة تاثير التشويب على الخواص التركيبية والبصرية == Preparation SnO2 nanoparticles and Study the Effect of Doping on Structure and Optical Properties

Abstract: تم في هذا البحث تحضير مسحوق SnO2 النانوي النقي المحضر من املاح القصدير المتمثلة بملح SnCl4.5H2O بطريقة الصول - جل بثلاثة مذيبات مختلفة وهي الماء، والميثانول، والايثانول، وتم اجراء عملية التلدين عند درجة حرارة (400°C) .تم اختيار المذيب الايثانول لاعطائه اكبر كمية من المسحوق ومطابقته للملف ذي الرقم (JCPDS : 41 - 1445) لتحضير العينات المشوبة (بالنيكل والمغنيسيوم والكادميوم) كل على انفراد وبثلاثة تراكيز (5, 10 و%15) من كل عنصر ثم اجريت عملية تلدين لهذه العينات لدرجة (700°C).اظــهرت نتائج حـيود الشعاع السيني ان جــميـع العينات المحـضـرة تمتلك نظاما رباعيا متعددة التبلور وفحصت العينات للمدى الزاوي (°20 - °100)، وظهرت السطوح الاربعة الاعلى شدة وهي ((110, (101), (200), 211))، تم حساب الحجم الحبيبي بطريقة ديباي - شيرر وبطريقة وليامسون - هول، وبينت النتائج ان حجم الحبيبات يقل بزيادة نسبة التشويب، كما تم حساب العديد من المعلمات التركيبية كثوابت الشبيكة وفسحة السطوح، والكثافة، والمساحة السطحية النوعية، وعدد خلايا الوحدة، وكثافة الانخلاعات، والاجهادات المجهرية وعامل التشكيل وعامل طبيعة السطح. اوضحت نتائج فحوص (AFM) طبيعة السطح للعينات المحضرة، وقد تم حساب معدل الحجم الحبيبي، ومعدل الخشونة، وقيمة جذر مربع المعدل(RMS) وكانت مختلفة من حيث معدل خشونة السطح. حيث تقل الخشونة بزيادة نسبة التشويب، ويقل معدل قطر الحبيبات بزيادة نسبة التشويب التي اتفقت مع نتائج حيود الشعاع السيني وكانت تتراوح ما بين (127.71 - 69.64) nm، وقد اظهرت صور (SEM) ان اشكال الحبيبات النانوية للنماذج (P4,N3,M3,C3) كروية او شبه كروية متجمعة بهياة عناقيد وظهر البعض منها بشكل متكتل. اما بالنسبة لفحص (EDX) فقد اظهرت جميع العينات قمة عالية عند ~3.5) keV) للقصدير مع ظهور قمم صغيرة لعنصر الكلور والبوتاسيوم التي عدت كشوائب بنسب وزنية ضئيلة جدا نتيجة عملية التحضير للعينة النقية، اما العينات المشوبة فقد اظهرت قمم مادة التشويب بالاضافة الى القصدير الا ان الاوكسجين لم يظهر في فحص (EDX).ومن خلال تسجيل طيـف الامتصاص لمحلول SnO2 وضـمن مــدى الاطــوال الموجـية (300 - 900 nm)، اوضحت النتائج ان الامتصاصية تزداد بزيادة نسبة التشويب لجميع العينات، اما فـجـوة الـطاقة البصرية للانتقال الالكتروني المباشر الـمـسـمـوح باستعمال معادلة (Tauc) وباستخدام معادلة (Kubelka - Munk) فقد وجد انها تقل بزيادة نسبة التشويب. | In this research, pure SnO2 Nanopowders were prepared from tin salt (SnCl4.5H2O) by sol - gel method using three different solvents; water, methanol and ethanol. The preparered powders annealed at temperature (400°C). according to the result of prepared powder, the sample of ethanol as a solvent is taken into consideration due to the greater amount of the powder is produced and it’s in a good agreement with the File No. (JCPDS : 41 - 1445). The preparation of doped samples is performed using ethanol as a solvent with each one of the dopants (Nickel, Magnesium and Cadmium) with three percentages (5, 10 and 15)% of each element. Then nine prepared doped samples as well as the pure one were annealing at (700°C).XRD results show, all prepared samples have polycrystalline tetragonal crystal system. The scan of x - ray in the range of Bragg’s angle (20 - 100)° which revealed the four highest intensity peaks, (110),( 101),( 200) and ( 211)planes. From the diffraction pattern of each sample, the crystallite size is calculated by Debye - Sherrer and Williamson - Hall methods. Their results showed that grain size decreases with increasing ratio of doping concentration, also there has been many parameter likes; lattice constants, interplanar distance, specific surface area, number of unit cells, intensity, dislocations density and macrostrain which are calculated. AFM test revealed the morphology of the prepared samples. Their grain size, roughness and average root mean square value (RMS) are different for each sample. Surface roughness decreased with the increase of the dopant percentage. The average grain size was ranging between (69.64 - 127.71) nm and is decreased with the increase of dopant percentage and this show a good agreement with the XRD results. SEM for the sample (P4, N3, M3 and C3) revealed spherical or semi - spherical nanoparticles agglomerate in the form of a cluster. While EDX test shows a high peak at (~ 3.5)KeV of the Tin, with small peaks of chlorine and potassium which are considered as impurity and that is due to its small quantity which is resulted from the process of preparation of pure sample. In the doped samples, the peaks of dopant elements appeared in addition to that of tin, but the oxygen does not appear.UV spectra for all samples are performed by dissolving some amount of the powder in the double distilled water in the range (300 - 900) nm, their results show the absorbance increases with the proportion of dopant concentration of all samples. The optical energy gap for allowed direct transition are calculated by using Tauc and Kubelka - Munk equations, which decrease with the increase of dopant percentage.

Abstract: In this research , Nano spinel ferrite (NixCu0.2Zn0.8 - xFe2O4) was synthesized using sol - gel auto - combustion and flash combustion methods .Nineteen samples were prepared and their studies were divided into three parts. Study the effect of citric acid in preparation of Nano ferrite (Ni0.1Cu0.2Zn0.7Fe2O4) by changing the molar ratio of adding fuel to any sample and the five samples were prepared from (C series). The structural properties of samples were studied using x - ray diffraction technique (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) which showed that the obtained ferrite possesses spinel cubic phase for all used molar ratios , besides when the concentration of adding fuel was increased leads to decrease in grain size and theoretical density , increase in dislocation density and the surface area. Then the molar ratio (1 : 1 M) was chosen as the best adding ratio due to that the obtained ferrite at this ratio possesses best texture coefficient with small grain size and best internal strain by comparing with the other ratios.  Study the influence of substitute (Zn+2) ion by (Ni+2) ion on the structural , electrical and magnetic properties of Nano ferrite powder (NixCu0.2Zn0.8 - xFe2O4)(0.1≤X≤0.7) synthesized using sol - gel auto - combustion method , there are seven samples were prepared (A) series and tested by two types of structural test included analyzer x - ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope, the results exhibited forming the spinel phase for all samples in spite of the substitute of (Zn+2) ion by (Ni+2) ion, and the increase of (Zn+2) ions concentration leads to decrease in the grain size and increase in theoretical density. Then the ferrite powder was divided in two groups, the first was pressed into the pellet shape which was used in electrical tests and the second group was pressed into the rings shape which was used in magnetic tests. The two faces of the pellets in first group polished by silver paste material in case to obtain a ceramic capacitors that subjected to electrical tests which included the measurement of dielectric constant , dielectric loss coefficient, alternating electrical conductivity and direct electrical conductivity ,and the study of magnetic properties for the rings samples included measurement of hysteresis loop , selfinduction, initial permeability and the relative loss factor. The results of electrical tests exhibited decrease in dielectric constant with frequency increase at room temperature , and dielectric constant increases at certain ratios of adding (Zn+2) ions and decreases at other ratios. However , the dielectric loss coefficient its fall when increasing frequency until reaches its lowest value at the high frequencies values and so it is various when the concentrations of (Zn+2) ion were changed .and the measurement of alternating electrical conductivity displaying it increases with the increasein frequency and it values disparity with the change of (Zn+2)ion concentration , in other hand the direct electrical conductivity increase with substituting (Zn+2) ion concentration increases. The magnetic tests results exhibited that the ratio (X=0.3) with chemical formula (Ni0.3Cu0.2Zn0.5Fe2O4) possesses a significant magnetic properties when compared with other samples because it has the highest initial permeability with lowest relative loss factor and it has best hysteresis loop so that it realized conditions for using it as a cores in transducers and electrical motors. Study the influence of substituting (Zn+2)ion by (Ni+2) ion on the structural properties of Nano ferrite (NixCu0.2Zn0.8 - xFe2O4)(0.1≤ X≤ 0.7) synthesized using flash combustion method, there are seven samples were prepared (F) series tested by two types of structural tests included xray diffraction and scanning electron microscope tests , and the results exhibited form the spinel phase for all samples and no other phases were presented and observed that structural results were agreed with these obtained from sol - gel auto - combustion method.

Abstract: The structural, optical, electrical, and gas sensing properties of nickel oxide have been studied. The structural properties of the deposited films were made using XRD, SEM and AFM. The NiO films have been prepared with different thicknesses (100, 150 and 200) nm on glass, Si and Al2O3 substrates, using RF - sputtering at 100°C substrate temperature. The electrical and optical parameters of the NiO films were characterized using Hall Effect and transmittance measurements.The X - ray diffraction result indicates that the films are of polycrystalline in nature with cubic structure. The grain size of the nanoparticales observed at the surface depended of films thicknesses, where 200 nm has smallest average grain size 85.5 nm and RMS increased with increasing of thicknesses.The optical characterization shows that the film has band gap that ranged in between 3.6 eV to 3.9 eV, the average transmittance of films was found to be ranged of 60% to 85% in the VIS - IR regions. The dark conductivity of NiO films has been studied as a function of film thickness, crystal structure transformation and temperature with particular regard to gas sensitivity in CO2, NO2, CO, NO and the ethanol vapor. The electrical properties were found to be dependent on the film thickness.I - V characteristics for NiO films at (air, vacuum, N2, O2andCO2) gases before and after annealing were investigation. It would appear from our result that the diminution of the dark conductivity after annealing may be due to the surface contaminations adsorbed on the surface of the NiO film during film preparation or from ordinary atmospheric air.The resistivity of the NiO thin films decreased with increasing of thicknesses, from 1.5x105 to 5.4x104 (Ω.cm), which is related to the increase of carrier concentration with film thickness. The results of measurements of NiO thin films show that these films have good conductivities and results obtained from Hall Effect indicate that the NiO films were (p - type).It was found that the sensitivity to other gases differs for different film thicknesses and working temperature. Furthermore, NiO films exhibits high and fast response to NO2 gas at 200°C, which makes it a promising candidate for a poisonous gas sensing.

The effects of the number of laser pulses (100,300,600 and 800), Fe concentration (3,5,7%wt) at ambient temperature and annealing temperature at 500ºC on the structure, optical and electrical properties of these films have been studied.The structure characteristic investigated by X - Ray Diffraction (XRD). XRD pattern showed that as number of laser pulses increase the structure changed from amorphous to polycrystalline at 800 laser pulses for pure ZnO. For ZnO : Fe(3%) the structure stay polycrystalline and the intensity increased also the grain size increase. Same result obtained as the concentration of Fe increased (3,5and 7%) for ZnO : Fe thin films and after annealing.The morphology is analyzed by AFM technique. The AFM results showed that the Root Mean Square (RMS) of surface roughness is increased with increasing number of laser pulses from 5.96 nm to7.16 nm and from 3.23nm to 10.2nm for both films of pure ZnO and ZnO : 3%Fe respectively. The RMS for both surfaces were increased at the pulses range 4.15nm to 8.55nm when increasing Fe concentration at ambient temperature and conducted by annealing process.The optical properties measured by UV - VIS spectrometer to compute the band gap of pure ZnO and ZnO : Fe were found high transparent in the visible region band gap for ZnO and ZnO : 3%Fe were decreased from 3.13 eV to 2.9eV and from 2.8eV to 2.55eV respectively. As well as the energy gap was found severe reducing in its values when the Fe increased, where the energy gap suffer decreased and became 3.02eV to 2.52 eV at ambient temperature and from 3.15 eV to 2.7eV after performed annealing process.The hall effect measurement proves that the pure ZnO and ZnO : Fe are n - type semiconductor, the conductivity is increased by increasing mixing Fe concentration where the value was increased from 6.4X10 - 4 Ω. - 1cm. - 1 to 6.37 Ω. - 1cm. - 1 and from 1.97X10 - 5 Ω. - 1cm. - 1 to 5.207 Ω. - 1cm. - 1 when achieved annealing at 500ºC.

Abstract: to find equation of lasing output power (Pout) by using the numerical emulation Secondly, calculating the (Pout) of Nd+3 - doped optical fiber laser as a typical example for the optical fiber laser, which is process according to this system. The required equations to calculate (Pout) was programmed by Matlab program (version8.1). Two types of hosts were used in this simulation, the first type is Silica with four designs using commonly in the above mentioned, the four designs are Lycom (a), Lycom (b), York and IVA with lasing emission at the wavelengths (1064×10 - 9m) and (1331×10 - 9m). The second type of hosts is ZBLAN with only one design is Le Verre fluore, with lasing emission at two wavelengths (1048×10 - 9m) and (1317×10 - 9m). The first step in this emulation was determining the value of numerical aperture (NA) for each design of special designs and at the special wavelengths for every host, which can obtain the highest values of lasing output power (Pout) and efficiency (η) at value of (NA).The second step was calculating the (Pout) corresponding to pump power (Po) for each host according to the designs and the wavelengths related to the host, In case of the host Silica, for the two wavelengths of this host, it is found that the (Pout) was the highest value when the design (York) was used, while in case of the host (ZBLAN), it is found the highest value of (Pout) is when using the wavelength (1048×10 - 9m). For addition that, it is found that to obtain the highest values of (Pout) and (η) for this type of laser, it must be use the host Silica at the wavelength (1048×10 - 9m). According to that, the third step was using this host and this wavelength to calculate the effect of the numerical aperture (NA), core radius (a), cladding radius (b), fiber length (L),reflection coefficients (R2), Nd+3 - dopant concentration in the core (No), lifetime of upper laser level (T2) and pump power (Po) on the (Pout). The changing of the above mentioned coefficients values was determinate with its range which is finding in four designs related to the host Silica. It is found that the value of (Pout) decreased with the increase of the values of (NA, a, b, L and No), while increase with the increase of the values of (R2 ,T2 and Po), through that, the optimal values of these coefficients which must be used to obtain the highest values of (Pout) and (η) for this type of laser.

Abstract: Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles (NPs) have been widely investigated to employ in the paint fields due to its importance as pigments. Therefore, TiO2 particles are perfect candidates in the paint industry. In addition to use nanoparticles for enhancing the local coating properties in our country.In this work, the sol - gel technique employed to prepare TiO2 nanoparticles with two procedures and two precursors (TIP and TiCl4), the obtained two phases of TiO2 (anatase and rutile), nanopaticles colloid irradiated by pulse laser ablation (PLA) for minimizing particle size. It has been fabricated a laboratory paint (TiO2/SiO2 hybrid sol - gel). Nanoparticles characterization has been carried out by different devices to study properties such as morphology, structure and optical properties, Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) and Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) demonstrated the size and shape of nanoparticles in the range of (3 - 40) nm spherical for anatase, while the rutile results were around (50 - 70) nm with ellipsoidal shape. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), which was confirmed the results of TEM and DLS. Zeta - potential (ζ) results which were indicated the colloid stability, surface charge for the first procedure and the second procedure, anatse and rutile (+39.02, +25.68,+41.31 and+34.33) mV, respectively. The structural characteristics of TiO2 nano - powder investigated by X - ray Diffraction(XRD) to define the phases of TiO2, anatase at 500˚C , rutile at 900˚C, and Raman Spectroscopy to distinguish between crystalline phases, Raman shift resulted for anatase about (142.1,411.1,547.4 and 669.6) cm - 1, rutile (190,272,452 and 616) cm - 1. The optical properties measured by UV - Vis. Spectrophotometer to compute the energy band gap for both phases at (3.8 eV) for anatase and (3.4 eV) for rutile.The nanoparticles were mixed with coating solution (i.e. hybrid sol - gel and organosilicate nanoparticles (OSNP) in different concentrations (1%wt and 10%wt) for both anatase and rutile. Films were prepared by spin coating method which has been studied by the Energy Dispersive X - ray Spectroscopy (EDS) / Scanning Electron Microscope to define the components of concentrations, additionally, the films were studied the thickness and refractive index (n) by Spectroscopic Ellipsometry(SE) for nano - anatase (1%wt and10%wt) films thickness (128,382)nm and n equal (2.25,3.32), for nano - rutile films thickness (313.5,645.2) nm and n equal (2.5,2.8). Profilometer investigated the coating topography to demonstrate the Root Mean Square (RMS) toidentify the roughness which increased by increasing particle size. Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) analysis showed the strong bonds of the nanoparticles in frequency region between (400 - 1000) cm - 1 corresponds to Ti - O - Ti, also the bands at 793 and 1100cm - 1 were for a symmetric Si - O - Si stretching and vibration, respectively.Self - cleaning tests on the films were performed using Rhodamine B (RhB) as a pollution indicator. The effect of UV - irradiation on the films and contact angle measurements were studied. Anatase and rutile incorporated as a mixture with different ratios (1%.1.5% and 2%) in the local paint measurements, such as a washability and contrast test.Antibacterial activity in 10 - 5 and 10 - 3 TiO2 concentrations exhibited superior antibacterial activity with two types of bacteria, Escherichia coli (E - coli) and Staphylococcus aurous (S. aureus), respectively. TiO2 nanoparticles were more efficient as antibacterial agents with Staphylococcus aurous as compared with E - coli.
