The reality of life has become fraught with risks, events, and tough experience. And one's psychological security is deemed threatened if it is exposed to psychological, social and political stress which he can not bear. Moreover, that will cause failure in meeting security needs for someone which makes him not harmonious psychologically and socially, So, some of the behaviors, that are not preferred like gossip ,appear.Gossip is one of the social and cultural phenomena which have been addressed by many psychologists recently. it has been turned out that gossip may achieve some psychological needs through the exchange of information and this information covers everything about ones' life. But at the same time, if gossip is overused, that will affect the relations between individuals and their closely ties. And that what motivates the researcher to deal importantly with another variable which is need for belonging that is considered a strong source to bring members for the group and resist to abandon it (group).However, this variable is able to supply others with a sensitive stimulus that will not make life get bored and they can give kindness and protection against risks. subsequently, one's need for other lies in meeting his needs that he can not solve or meet by himself, so, they will make him feel secure and self - respect will increase. Hence, the importance of studying the relation between gossip and need for belonging for Iraqi society specially State employees came.The study aims at identifying : 1. Gossip among State employees.2. Significance of the difference among state employees according to the gender variable (male - female).3. belonging among State employees.4. Significance of the difference in the need for belonging among employees of State Ministries depending on gender variable (male - female).5. Nature of relation between gossip and need for belonging among employees of State Ministries.This current research has been determined to the employees of both genders in State Ministries in Baghdad for the year 2016.Regarding the theoretical framework, the researcher showed a number of theories specific to gossip and another number of theories specific to need for belonging. The researcher, in her study, adopted Foster theory, 2004 for gossip variable and Hagerty theory; 1992 for need for belonging variable in order to achieve the goals of the research, the researcher followed the necessary procedures to translate the two measures of gossip and need for belonging in which measures of gossip, in its final form, is composed of 23 items and the measures of need for belonging, in its final form, is composed of 18 items. Moreover, the validity of translation and face validity and construct validity have achieved for the two measures.while reliability was extracted for the two measures ways : split - half reliability method and cronbach's method. so, fortitude in split - half reliability method is in two alpha (0.86), and in cronbach's alpha method (0.87) for gossip measure while in the measure of need for belonging, reliability in split - half reliability method reached to (0.86) and in cronbach's alpha method (0.91).After applying the two measures to a sample of employees composed of 450 male and female employees, the research results showed the following : 1. State employees have a high degree of gossip and they have a high need for belonging.2. The absence of differences, according to the variable of gender (male - female), in each of gossip and need forbelonging.3. There is a correlative and relation between the two variables of gossip and need for belonging in employees of State Ministries.According to these results, the researcher presents Rec - ommendations and suggestions to conduct further studies.

Abstract: يستهدف البحث الحالي التعرف على : - 1 - استراتيجيات التحكم بالتفكير (الالهاء/التحكم الاجتماعي/القلق/العقوبة/اعادة التقويم) لدى طلبة الجامعة.2 - دلالة الفرق في كل استراتيجيه (الالهاء/التحكم الاجتماعي/القلق/العقوبة/اعادة التقويم) على وفق متغير النوع(ذكور - اناث)ل | 1 - Thought - control strategies (Distraction/Social control/Worry/Punishment/Re - appraisal) by university students 2 - Significance difference in the use of thought - control Strategies according to gender (males - females). 3 - University students mindfulness.4 - The correlational relation between thought - control strategies and mindfulness.5 - finally , the study aims of testing the following hypothesis : The possibility of prediction of existanee of each thought control strategies in the presumed of mindfulness the current study determined to the students in Al - Mustansieriya university. To achieve these aims the researcher translated Wales and Daves 1994 thought Control strategy Scale and it Was submitted to a group of professionals and experts Who Confirmed the scale's validity. Then it Was applied on a sample of (400) students (males and females) to obtain The Scale's psychometric Characteristics. Items discriminations face validity , translation validity , factorial validity Construct validity and reliability are computed. Reliability by Cronbach's Alpha method Was ( distraction 0.38 / social control 0.43/ anxiety o.71/ punishment 0.55/ re - appraisal 0.46). so the scale is ready to be applied, with (30) items and a hypothetical mean of (75) the reaches also adopted mindfulness Scale langer's 1992, with (20) items and a hypothetical mean of (40) witch Was submitted to a group of and experts for validity confirmation. Then the scale Was applied on the some sample to obtain its psychometric Characteristics. Items discrimination Difference significance , face validity , translation validity , construct validity and (reliability) are computed. By the use of split - half method reliability was (0.38) before correcting , (0.55) after correcting with Spearman Brown equation and (0.56) by the using of Cronboach's - Alpha method. thus , the scale was ready to be applied.The results of the current study show that the sample students have both thought - control strategies and mindfulness and that the mostly used strategies are (re - appraisal social control and distraction) respectively. It is also shown that there is significant differences in the use of some thought - control strategies according to gender in favor of. Females in (worry / social control and re - appraisal) strategies , But no significant difference is shown for (distraction and punishment) strategies , Finally it has been shown that there is a strong relation (0.99) Between the two variables (thought - control strategies and mindfulness) and that mindfulness can predict thought control strategies used by student which proves the above - mentioned hypothesis to be true. Based on these result the researcher presented a set of recommendations and suggestions for future research's.

Abstract: يعد الانتماء التنظيمي مطلبا ضروريا ومهما لما له من انعكاسات مهمة في رفع كفاءة المؤسسة الانتاجية من جانب وانعكاساته النفسية والاجتماعية الايجابية على العاملين من جانب اخر اذ يؤثر بشكل ايجابي في سلوكيات اعضاء المؤسسة اتجاه بعضهم البعض، ويعتبر عاملرائيسا ف | The organizational affiliation is a necessary and important requirement because of its important implications in raising the productive institution efficiency and from the other hand, it has psycho - social and positive impact on the workers, also it affects positively on the behavior of members of the institution towards each other, And it is a major factor in promoting employees sense in job satisfaction, the success of the organization and reach down to achieve its objectives, it directly linked to the faith and conviction of individuals to these goals, which drives the worker to invest all his energies and creativity to work within the organization to make it successful, The Conflict handling of Styles are leading to strengthen the cohesion of the institution or weaken it according to user mode in dealing with that conflict. The researcher aimed to identify the organizational affiliation to the workers in media institutions, and to identify the differences between them according to the institution kind and gender, and to identify the Conflict handling of Styles among workers in media institutions, and to identify the relationship between the Conflict handling of Styles and organizational affiliation with the media. To achieve the goals of research, the researcher adopted the Conflict handling of Styles of scale to deal with the conflict of Roih (2007) and constructive organizational affiliation scale according to pattern of Meyer and Allen (1997) and a number of items in the final is (44) items were distributed among the three organizational affiliation components, the emotional has (16) items, the continuous has (15) items and the standard has (13) items. The application of current research applied on a sample of (382) employees in the media, and current research results : showed - 1. The media people (the research community) are characterized by a high degree of the organizational affiliation, and the females are more organizational affiliation than the males, and it did not show any differences in the organizational affiliation according to the variable of type of institution (government - independent). 2. The style used by the media people in handling with the conflict are (the integration, compatibility then avoidance and finally the styles of harmonization and coercion.3. There is a statistically significant difference in style of handling with the conflict (integration, compatibility, avoidance, and harmonization) among the workers in the governmental and non - governmental institutions and in favor of employees in government institutions, while it did not show any clear difference in style of coercion.4. The Research has shown that there is no statistically significant difference between the media people according variable Gender (Female - Male) in their tendency to use the methods of dealing with conflict (integration, compatibility, avoidance, harmonization) except for coercion style, as there was a statistically significant difference between the media males and females in favor of males.5. The results showed the existence of a strong positive correlation between organizational affiliation and styles of integration and compatibility, also it showed a weak relationship between the styles of avoidance and harmonization and organizational affiliation, and it showed an inverse relationship between organizational affiliation and style of coercion. Based on the outcomes of the research, the researcher recommended a number of recommendations and proposals.
