The study consists of four chapters. The first chapter includes the methodological aspect represented by the research problem, its significance, its necessity, its aims and the definition of terms. While the second chapter includes the theoretical framework consisting of the following sections : 1 - The artistic monuments in the world, the attitudes and styles. 2 - Beauty and its vision in the contemporary formation. The third chapter came dedicated to the research procedures and the analysis of its sample, while the fourth chapter is concerned with the research results, the most important of which are : 1. The aesthetic visions of the suggested monuments in Baghdad City were unconventional visions and characterized with contemporary, innovation and individualism. 2. The examples of the research sample bear an Iraqi cultural contemporary identity with contemporary aesthetic visions in terms of new sculptural formation as cited in all sample examples. 3. The suggested sample examples as artistic monuments in Baghdad City came mostly inspiring the Iraqi cultural heritage. 4. Abstract: The study deals with one of the modern techniques used in the formation of the metal casting, which include using of local materials in the preparation of typical mixtures without needing for imported ready - made mixtures, which are monopoly of technical secrets to those companies. The first chapter discusses the research problem, which were represented in (to reach a mechanism for the use of ceramic shell technology with standard specifications helps for not to loosing a lot of sculptural details and delicate task during the casting process through the traditional techniques). The importance and objectives of the research are : (1. Obtaining of precise details for works of art that perform the ceramic shell technology, 2. Reach for a scientific data base for technical functioning of these mechanisms and capabilities of local materials) as well as the limits of the search. The second chapter (theoretical framework) includes the first section : a brief history for the using of metals, the second section deals with the metals used in the research (as brunze and aluminum) as well as their types and properties the third section deals with the History of the mechanisms of metal casting in ancient civilizations, which are Mesopotamia, the Nile Valley, the Levant, the Greeks, the Romans, the Islamic civilization and then the Renaissance, after this, asection deals with the metal casting techniques, which divided into two types according to the type of templates : permanent, which include centrifugal plumbing and plumbing by electrical clicking and sedimentation. while non - permanent include the plumbing by sand and lost wax which includes two methods, the first one is the normal thermal template (traditional) and the second method of ceramic shell which is the subject of our research. It was taking four previous studies,two of them were Iraqi and two foreign studies. At the end of this chapter we reach to a theoretical framework indicators. The third chapter deals with the research measures which included the identification of research methodology, the research community, samples. And then the selection of local materials that will be included in research trials which are zircon and silica silicate (sand Erdma), Kaolan (Duekhlh), Filnt Klay, sodium silicate water and Sodium carbonate andresin (c.m.c).After preparation, crushing and screening of the materials according to the granular gradients and chemical analysis to determine their characteristics and components then calcination. Dry materials were calcinied at (600°) to lose its chemical water. After preparation of series of preliminary mixtures in some of them depending on local materials as alternatives to foreign ready mixes and through access to sources, references and the Internet, as well as local experiences. Eight mixtures were succeeded through the stuccoing process of the waxy model ,during the process of drying and burning there is problems such as crucking in the surface of ceramic shell as a result of internal tension and external pressure, as well as the reduction in the hardness of ceramic schell after burning due to the weakness in the linking between the components of materials during high temperature causing their destruction after burning, so that it is necessary to raising calcination temperature to 1000 ? to ensure the disposal of the transformations that will get during the burning process. In addition to the getting rid of plasticity to ensure that no shrinking in the ceramic shell after burning. All failed mixtures were excluded,while the other four mixtures were remained which were : Mixture of silicate zircon, silica (crushed Erdma sand), clay Filnt,caolin with silica (Ardma sand), because of the high coast silicate zircon and not providing in large quantities, as well as to the difficulty of obtaining of Filnt clay despite its presence in abundance in Iraq, it has not been extracted and provided in abundance as a consumer material, as there have been some problems in the use alone, so the researcher find two mixtures from (zircon silicate with silica) and ( Calcinied caolin with calcinied silica).The four mixtures considered the sample of research which include (zircon silicate), (silica), (zircon silicate and silica) and (silica and caolin).Which has been conducting laboratory tests on them. The fourth chapter contained the results of the chemical analysis and the results of physical and mechanical tests and their discussion. Also included the conclusions which reached by the researcher. The results showed the success of the four mixtures in the casting of bronze and aluminum models with maintaining the accuracy of the details and achieve the goals of the research. The mixture (A) preferably used in the casting of mineral sculpture with temperature top of the (1200 ?) due to the cost of silicate zirconium, while the mixture (C) is the better becauseof its potential in metal casting and low coast ratio compared with mixture (A). The mixtures (B, D) preferably used in the casting sculpture as alolminium and lower heat metals. In Iraq, the critics artists have a vision and critic philosophy that contributed into crystallizing some of their directions and into having effects on artist production via effect and affected. This study aims at handling position of critics artist and their directions. Hence, the research problem comes as to study the critics artist's theoretical and practical Sides.This study stands behind questions listed below : . - Did critics artists have conceptions relying on criticism text books? What are the results standing behind that? The artistic criticism was previously dealing with a set of textbooks, either be those that concerned with artistic work surroundings or be those that concerned with the artistic depth. Those who specialized into criticism, together with their directions remain determined by methods of readings. Most prominent problem in artistic reading lies in the ability of the critic to untie artistic work codes and to re - build them. This problem forms the core of criticism script production. If the critic's handling methods be away from art atmosphere, then the criticism would be just more like other language and literary arts than be as textural and analytic method. Hence, we suppose Formulation of the problem following questions : 1 - Is it possible for the critics artist to perform critical excavations in artistic works most nearest to the art than to get side by side with it?2 - Could the artists critics have formed a movement inside the Plastic movement and that contributes into disclosing its context? The first chapter includes critic production and its classification in addition to most important terms (artistic criticism, direction and method). The second chapter deals with the theoretical side that comes with two parts (1st part concerns with conceptions and kinds of criticism, concept of critic and critical scrip separation into (the artist, script and receiver) and 2nd part concerned with criticism in Iraq, the critics artists and their opinions and readings. The third chapter includes procedures and purpose of the current study. The researcher depends on the analytic descriptive method as to describe samples and to analyze them according to methods resulted from procedural conceptions mentioned in the theoretical filed Enhanced tools and procedures which : 1 - Table of research sample from the critical essays (26 essays)) 2 - Table of works of the critics artists( plastic artistic works - paintings). The fourth chapter deals with results of research according to the research goal and deals with the critical centers and its directions for the critics artists. According to what was mentioned above , the researcher reached to the following : 1 - The critic artist (Balasim Muhammad) employed the modern critical textbooks in his essays (No.1, 2) , where the visage method had been formed ratio amounted %44.44 , while the structural criticism ratio %14.81 , the neutral criticism ratio is %7.40 , the estimation judgments ratio is %3.70 , The total ratio of his essays (No.1, 2) is %33.33. Results concerning the second goal of research lie into uncovering the comparison between the practical and theoretical production : 1 - By analyzing the critic artist Balasim Muhammad's critical essays and its comparison with his artistic works, the researcher concluded that the critic artist (Balasim) makes his depictions out of familiar logics in Iraqi paintings and adheres textural exactness in his critical journey. In his critical writings we see him sticking to textual exactness, but in his artistic production there are recitations and imaginations. Most prominent conclusions are : 1 - The artistic criticism in Iraq depends on self - impressions unlike artistic work. 2 - The artistic criticism in Iraq relies on search into the art itself and not in artistic work details. 3 - The historical and social criticism occupies a space in critical writings.4t - Plastic criticism in Iraq does not depend on scientific method and there are not contemporary methods in reading artistic works , but with simple proportions. 5 - The criticism often depends on personal motifs and general rules. 6 - The journalistic and literary language was dominant as to read artistic works and this resulted into forming a dictionary strange to artistic criticism conception.

And how could it include most of its values in one constructional structure? The answer will be the resultant of that question , about the mechanism of employment the controversial values in the contemporary ceramic in Iraq?Therefore , the study aimed to : - Discovering the controversial values in the Iraqi contemporary ceramic , on the level of shape, technique and content.The researcher was limited with studying the contemporary ceramic works within the period between ( ) to ( ) existed in the Iraqi museums or as special findings the researcher has found in old books or online , then reviewing the term of values and the term of dispute and defining the controversial values by term and procedure. - Second chapter was represented by the theoretical frame including three sections , first one concerned with studying (controversial values by a conceptual approach) , second chapter concerned with studying (the controversial values in the arts of modernity ), second pivot concerned with (studying the controversial values in post modernity arts) , while the third section included three pivots, first pivot concerned with studying (representing of controversial values in ceramic) , second pivot concerned with studying (the contemporary Iraqi ceramic) and ended the theoretical with a punch of indications and then the previous studies. - Third chapter tackled with procedures of the research that included specifying the society of research and choosing the research population that were ( samples) , then the method used for analyzing the sample, depending the depictive method in analyzing the artistic works.While the four chapter included results of research, conclusions plus recommendations and suggestions from the results the researcher had come up with the following results : - The controversial value turn out through the using of the potter to couple of contradicted values in the aesthetic, artificial and academic phenomena which are (reality & experiment). - The controversial value is achieved through contradiction and closeness of two values that are of one element and between them there is a controversial contend. - Controversial value may be achieved by analyzing the reality for the human shape that carry composition and diagnostic features differ from the origin totally. - The controversial values have turned out through granting the brain its authority in implementing and granting the action of the emotion its authority also. - The controversial value also can be achieved by the letter - composition for the read ceramic work and the instantaneous composition of the ceramic work.The conclusions : Up to the results obtained by the researcher, he come up with the following conclusions. - The controversial values in the cognitive, aesthetic and intellectual knowledge , entangled circle of relationships and gathering of intervening letters. - The aesthetic knowledge for the system of contradiction in the art of contemporary ceramic, applied on the basis of the formative composition and the open - eye illusions and what these elements pose of intervenient values.The system of the controversial is a future system based on the historical instantaneous basis , so it emanated newly every time

The existentialism has interacted with these conditions and situations as to fulfill freedom of a human; the existentialism became prevailing over in the societies ,definitely in Europe and western world and even in Arab Home Land where we find it very effective and interactive in its arts ,literatures and its philosophers including (Abdul Rahman Badawi) who declares his existentialism , while he was proud of that. The present paper includes four chapters , the chapter one includes general frame of research and that includes problem of research to know causes and motifs that being relied on the existentialist thought and after that , accomplishing existentialist sculptured works concerning with the disdain of existentialism , nothingness and worry in addition to the freedom selection, alienation and segregation in a modernized period. Then it comes the importance and goal of research owing to rarity of studies and scientific researches about existentialism into sculpturing modernism and trying unfold intellectual concerns along with its method conversion effecting hugely on the modernized artistic movement ,especially the sculpture. Therefore the Surrealism when it call for destruction of criteria and classic traditions , it aimed at creativity and more developed frameworks. The researchers studied one of such this types ( Duet Shape formation) in the contemporary Iraqi Sculpture detecting the building relation within the constructive subject as its importance is merged by attributing it with technical and ideological implications embodied by the ancient man in his artistic work making a substantiation for his persuasion and ceremonies through many raw materials and situations they lived with. Modern sculpture attempts to memorize his ideas , ego and vision through sculpture formations including that of duet forms as outlined as well as that some of which represented dramatically the activity of the scene filled with movement, embodied by divergent modes and ideas having traits and semantics of formative relations reflecting the concepts and ideas of the sculptor towards his environment while it is varied in its formative treatment in spite of the presence of common relations among its elements and then realizing new forms for these relations by which duet shape is formed. It is necessitated to identify this relation analyzing it scientifically within study empiric focusing on the constructive relations realized from shape distribution for the elements, thus the researcher studied and analyzed these elements through its relations of developed formative within the reaction of formative elements. The first chapter ( mainframe of the research) concerned with explanation the problem of the research , its importance and the need for which , aiming to outline by analytical study the duet formation of the shape in the contemporary Iraqi sculpture and argued the limits of the research determining the ideological terms through which the researcher derivate a procedural in compliance with the seclusion of the matter and to realize the objective. Second chapter ( Theoretical Study) consisted of three section the first one argued the duet formation in the ancient sculpture ( Iraq, Egypt, Greece and Rome) while the second section argued the due formation of the sculpture shape in the reviviscence era while third one is dedicated to study duet formations of the shape for the international contemporary sculpture. Third chapter ( Methods and Materials) includes the mechanisms of research community , electing its pattern in addition to diagnose the methodology of the analysis , tools of the researches making analytical study for this pattern. Fourth chapter is dedicated for results , discussion, conclusions and recommendations. The most important results are : 1) The Iraqi Contemporary Sculptor insists on the ideological aspect of duet relations never insisted on the shape appearance so that most duet formations appeared with shapes needs for diagnostic traits due to the exorbitance in simplification and reduction.2) It is shown the difficulty of distinguishing between the shape of woman and the shape of man as a constructive relations for duet shape but in some formations through which the femininity traits are appeared for example the conglomerate of the chest by outgoing outshoot resulted from the conglomeration in abstraction and reduction in the formation structure. 3) Creating gaps inside bodies of the formations of the similar relations for both shapes within the formation embodied by the Iraqi contemporary sculptor by areas may take half of formation evidencing the effects of European art in general and Henri Moor ;the English Sculptor in particular. 4) Number of Iraqi Contemporary sculptors used to abstracted man body from arms in addition elongation of the shapes and its meager reduction the skull making it just outgoing merge free from formation traits of the man face so that these formations are referred to the works of Swiss sculptor Alberto Chiakomitti. 5) Stylistic divergence of the Iraqi contemporary sculptor through tracing international works considering the contemporary international empiric and to benefit from in using his elements within self Singularity of real; effects detecting the continuous and developed looking at new styles of formative relations enrichment the artistic movement and the rendezvous culture.6) Sign through its derivatives in the symbol and icon appeared intensively in all samples ( pattern of the research) especially iconic sign representing the real situation but symbolic signs appeared lesser than it relatively while the denotation sign is disappeared slightly. Which confirms that samples of the research are expressive and reductive artistic achievements approaching to the abstraction.7) As the art is deemed the supreme community value in conveying the behaviors of the community trustfully in addition to that the surrounding and the community are the source effecting on the artistic achieved work , thus, their ad hoc with the behavioral values of the community is the truth imagination for these behaviors and the achieved work and the circumstance are related deeply in embodying the folklore surrounding the artistic achieved work especially the sculpture.

We should also determine the concept of significance and its correlation with form and content through the exchanging effect between the signifier and the signifies. This connection can be explained through the visual discourse, especially what is implicit in the metaphorical pressures and what they pressures produce like religious dictorine, mythological, social and political which the natural and civilized environment has produced for Babylon and Greek. The study tackles in this field the form and its significances in the Babylonian and Greek ceramic and pottery works. The study was limited to the Babylonian and Greek ceramic and pottery works of art, specifically the Babylonian ceramic and pottery of the two old periods (1595 - 2004 BC) and the Hittite period (627 - 601 BC) and the Greek ceramic and pottery in the century (1800 - 500 BC). The study includes four chapters which cover the determined objectives. It includes : Chapter One : the methodology frame of the study which is based on the problem of study that is represented in the achievement of the Babylonian and Greek ceramic and pottery artistes how the internal and external pressures has affected the understanding of the significance of meaning of the form system in the Babylonian and Greek civilization and the external pressures like the culture and regions and politics which contributed to the foundation of indicators that satisfy the form and its significances in the Babylonian and Greek ceramic and pottery works through the period of the study. In addition to that, the chapter includes the importance of the study and the need for it according to the direct items in nature. It is important to point out that the study includes previous studies because there is none. Chapter two includes the exposition of the theoretical frame in three inquiries : The first inquiry tackles the concept and meaning of the general concept of significance and then defining the significance philosophically and then describe then according to the formal concept (iconic, symbolic, referential). Then, the significance and its reading were applied. The second includes the referential and intellectual pressures in the plastic arts of Babylonia. It includes the historical root and the intellectual pressures represented in the environmental mythological, political and social pressures. The forms of Babylonian pressures are also illustrated. The third inquiry tackles the referential and intellectual pressures in Plastic arts in Greece. It includes the historical root and the intellectual pressures represented in the environmental mythological, political and social pressures. The forms of Greek pressures are also illustrated.In Chapter Three which illustrated the procedures of the study represented in how to detect the society and choose the sample, and the methods and tools for data collecting and analysis. In addition to that, the researcher prepared diagrams in which some of the significancs have been form and matching them. Finally, the community of the study through the sample of the study which includes 12 samples varied between the Babylonian and Greek ceramic and pottery works out of 180 Babylonian and Greek earthworks. They were purposefully chosen using the assistant specialized professors in the field of ancient pottery like Prof. Dr. Zuhair Sahib in addition to the assistance of Prof. Dr. Majid Na’fa Al - Kinani. In chapter four the study comes up the following findings of the study which can be summarized as following : * The significance of the forms in Babylonian and Greek ceramic and pottery works are clearly reflected through the realistic forms and the organizations which represented in iconic and symbolic forms. Also, we found some unrealistic forms like the compound and abstract forms to represent some forms with significance the ceramic and pottery works. * Some significance has come with purposes of completing the level of the colorful functions on the level of Babylonian and Greek forms. * Ceramic and pottery works revealed the inspiration of natural themes and effects on pressures through which can artistic tendencies. The analysis sample analysis of ceramic and pottery works resulted in approaches in the significances.Finally, the most important conclusions of the study are tackled and based on that the researcher put some of the recommendations and suggestions. Then, the study ended with a list of references and resources.

We use seven local material included sand (Arzama) ,Cawolen (Dwelka),Calcium carbonate(AL - Jabha)Bentonite and unlocal material included Sodium carbonate ,Sodium bicarbonate, feldspar soda added in different ratio after sieving and grating and chemical analysis to determined the properties and the continent of materials added to five mixture managed from references and internet adjusted according to researches s' aims.We evaluated the results and select the sample of researches from the whole models depend on researches s' aims and we made several tests on the sample s' models such as plasticity test, efflorescence salt test, porosity,absorption , density , linear shrinkage ,hardness, scratch hardness of surface,the analysis chromatic , glaze surface topography , formula units.From tests we know that the rise of clay ratio to (30% - 45% ) increasing Plasticity and produce body in a different dimension and the rise of water percentage to a specific level produce slip glaze stuck on pottery body beside using of alternative feldspar made suitable results and the rise of Fusing material ratio led to reduce porosity , absorption , density increasing and forming bound body.and the mixtures s' glaze appear so opaque in spite of ratio of (R2O3 - RO2 ) produce transparency glaze. The reason of darkness is the adding of colored oxides (RO ) group to earthenware glaze beside silica percentage (Higher than the equilibrating ) and gasses resulting from reaction. The slip stationary on pottery body depended on paste texture and body pores ability to absorb liquid and salts which work after firing to fix slip on the body , and the appearance of glaze on surface depended on self glazing of mixtures s' contents and ratio of efflorescence salt weight which reach to surface , beside the heat s' effect on surface

It deals with many aspects that are related essentially with the topic which have been forgotten by the scholars. It is known that journalism faces a great challenge, that is, the movement of photographs, the spread of visual media and the development of its techniques. The journal cartoonsare regarded as one of the means that competed the typical journal image. The art of journal sketching acquires features and characteristics from the rest of the arts for the receipt and the public via a display means and an easy way for spreading.Since the journal drawings and the documentations, especially the colored sketched and magazine cover, formed a challenge to the motion of pictures in black and white which were prevalent in television before it evolves to colors. In addition the other challenge posited by cartoons of the journal photographs which were known by their traditional static framework.The research tackled in Chapter One the problem of this study, its spatial and temporal limits, and the objective of the study, and knowing the definition of the terms of the study linguistically and lexically. The second chapter studies the lexical framework in which the researcher studies in First Inquiry to the journal cartoons; the foundation and the historical origin. The second inquiry includes the techniques of the journal cartoons and the most important like ink in its types, pencils, water colors, Pastille, and also the most important techniques of the journal cartoons like AutoCAD, marking and graphic.In the third inquiry the researcher studies the aesthetic references of the Iraqi journalistic cartoonsindicating the effects of the Arab magazine, and the international and the traditions.The four inquiry includes the structural relations between the written text and the journal cartoons referring to a number of theories and opinions concerning the problem of the relation between the written text and the visualcartoons.The researcher comes up to number of indicators that have resulted in these inquiries dealt in Chapter Two. These indicators have formed to the researcher an important tool in the analysis of the samples which were chosen in the Third chapter. They are 12 samples chosen according to the justification to which the researcher has referred in. After the analysis of samples, the researcher comes up with the findings which are mentioned in Chapter Four. The most important one are : 1 - The journal cartoons were characterized by violence in the motion of the characters and the figures which is a reflection of the prevailed phenomena in Iraq with the use of the torn human body.2 - The use of the theme of the cut head and its repetition. The result was of many references like the cut head, the bronze head of kings of Mesopotamia which formed an aesthetic addition. Also, the image of the sacred head carried on spears for tis relation to the sacredness of Imam Hussein martyrdom.3 - The journal cartoons were influenced by the ideologies of the authorizes and the ideologies of the journal as in the (Tareeq Al - sha’ab) of the leftistpolices. 4 - The avoidance of the difficult techniques like graphic or the inscription technique on the Britishscraper board. 5 - The journal cartoons were not an attraction in Iraq for the Iraqi female cartoonists except for some of the few names like (Afifa Laebi, Hana Mal - Allah, Antlaq Mohammed Ali). This is a negative phenomenon that required analysis and reflection. 6 - The attraction to the expressionist school in most of the journal cartoons for the purpose of maneuvering the monitor and censorship. Second chapter consists four sections : Section one studies the concept of the legend and it's causes of emergence and discusses the relation between and superstitions. Section two study Iraqi legend according to historical periods. The researcher here divides it into tow groups : 1 - Ancient legends.2 - Legends before and after Islam.Section three discusses the relation between legend and sculpture, some examples of sculptural pieces of art relating to some important ancient cultures were also mentioned with a brief presentation of the history of Iraqi sculpture and the effect of legend on it. Section four about the contemporary Iraqi sculpture Chapter three begins in collecting information and photographs about Iraqi sculptural pieces of art which are basically inspired by legends after this scanning of the materialistic evidence of the research was done starting with first work finished in 1950 until the end of 1992. The total number of works was 63 pieces created by 12 Iraqi contemporary sculptures. The researcher selected 20 works out of the whole as specimen for study, and the conclusion he reached resemble direct answers to the objectives of the study, and was introduced together with suggestions and recommendations in chapter four. About the first aimed , there are 63 sculpture works inspired by legends, done by 12 Iraqi sculpture. The number of sculpture works inspired by legend of the first group (ancient Iraqi legend) is 48 sculpture works. And there are 13 pieces sculpture works taken from Iraqi legends of the second group most of them taken from the tales of (thousand nights and night).
