فهذه دراسة للنقد الاكاديمي للادب الجاهلي، الذي نشرته مجلّةُ الاُستاذ العريقة لقد دابت هذه المجلة بما يزيد على سبعة وخمسين عاماً، عدا بعض السنوات توقفت فيها عن الصدور، على مواصلة نشر جهود الاساتذة وقبول نشر جهودهم وابحاثهم ودراساتهم فلا بد من وقفة يلتفت اليها الباحثون لدراسة جهدها المبارك هذا، ولا يكفي بحث واحد او اكثر لدراسة هذا الجهد وتقويمه وبيان المواضع التي يستفيد منها الباحثون ، وهذا من اهداف هذا البحث .
ومن اهدافه الاخرى ان افتتح توجهي الجامعي في الدراسات العليا بالادب الجاهلي؛ اذ تعدّ دراسته ودراسة نقده من الامور التاسيسية لثقافة ايّ باحث يريد بناء شخصيته الاكاديمية، بدءاً من هذا الاساس التراثي الذي رفد الجهد التفسيري للقران والجهد التنويري للحديث الشريف والحفاظ على اللغة العربية النقية الفصحى واساس الحضارة العربية، فلا غنىً لكلّ باحث في اللغة العربية وادابها عنه، وهو محط عناية الدارسين العرب والمستشرقين بل محط عناية الدرس العربي القديم كلِّه من معجميين ونحويين ولغويين وبلاغيين ونقاد وقبلهم المفسرون والمحدّثون وبينهم الشعراء والرواة والقرّاء الى يومنا هذا
وقد اتجهت انظاري نحو هذا الدرس لما واكبته المجلة من التطور الحاصل في النقد الادبي العراقي؛ فقد بدات بنشر الابحاث النقدية في بداية نشاة النقد العراقي الاكاديمي في ستينات القرن الماضي، وواكبت هذا التطور الى الان؛ ومن المعلوم ان الاتجاهات الرئيسة التي هيمنت على الميدان النقدي العراقي كثيرة ومتطورة كالبنائية والاسلوبية والنصّية واتجاهات الحداثة وما بعد الحداثة واتجاهات القراءة والتلقي وقبلها كانت الاتجاهات السياقية كالنفسي، والتاريخي، والانطباعي، والاجتماعي والفني، فضلاً عن اتجاهات الدرس النقدي الاخرى كدراسة التراث والنقد القديم والدراسة البلاغية ونقد النقد، والدراسات الموضوعية والفنية، وانتشرت هذه الاتجاهات في ثنايا الابحاث التي نشرتها المجلة واتجه كلّ بحث في دراستها بطرقٍ مختلفة منها نظّرية واخرى تطبيقية واغلب هذه الابحاث كانت تطبيقية، لذا سيهتم هذا البحث بدراسة الاتجاهات النصية التي درستها الابحاث في هذه المجلة العريقة، لايضاح دور الباحثين في دراستهم لهذه الاتجاهات وهل كان اعتمادهم لها اعتماداً واضحاً ومصرحاً به ام غير ذلك؟ ؛ فضلاً عن رصد الاثر الغربي فيها .

يدرس هذا البحث الجانبَ اللغويَّ من الدستور العراقيِّ في ضوء اللسانيَّات التداوليَّة, ويبدا بدراسة نظريَّة الاعمال الكلاميَّة في الخطاب الدستوريِّ الذي يقوم على الانجاز لا على الاخبار, ويحتوي على اعمالٍ كلاميَّةٍ من الفئات: التصريحيَّات, والتوجيهيَّات, والالتزاميَّات, والاخباريَّات, امَّا الفئة الخامسة وهي السلوكيَّات؛ فلا توجد اعمالها في خطاب الدستور العراقيِّ. وتُعدُّ الاخباريَّات اقلَّ الفئات حضورًا, في مقابل التصريحيَّات التي هي اكثر الفئات حضورًا.
ويدرس هذا البحث ايضًا الاحالة النصيَّة في الخطاب الدستوريِّ, وبيان مفهومها, وانواعها, وتحليلها في الدستور. ويدرس ايضًا ظاهرة الاشاريَّات, وبيان مفهومها, وانواعها, وتحليلها في الدستور. واخيرا يدرس ظاهرة الافتراض المسبق, وبيان مفهومها, وانواعها, وتحليلها في الدستور.

Arabic is one of the ancient living languages in the world. It has gained great attention that no any other language has gained from the scholars. This degree of attention has its own reasons. It is the language of the glorious Qur’an, the sacred book of Muslims. Thus, it has achieved its sacredness through its relevance to this great book. Understanding the purposes of the linguistic discourse was the objective of the researchers. So understanding the syntactic structures of Arabic and apprehension of its linguistic phenomena were the priority of the issues taken care by old linguists. The linguistic study has attained its higher standard earlierly, and the grammatical level was the most interesting one among the other levels tackled by scholars. The grammatical lesson began simple and easy on the hands of Arab scientists. Like any other science, being easy first, then it starts becoming complicated in research. This same description can be applied to Arabic. It has become complicated and a number of foreign trends such as logic, philosophy and philology, have penetrated into it. Then, it has be come a normative prescriptive lesson, away from being descriptive besides the obvious difficulties of approaches which made it difficult. So that scholars found it wise to escape. Since language is one of the means of learning and thinking, one can realize the sufferings faced by learners. So the voices were raised and complaints heard about the difficulty of the grammar lessons. This led to the appearance of a call for simplification. Old Arab grammarians have their attempts in this respect and they have written grammatical briefs and didactic poems to facilitate keeping the grammar of language by heart yet, Sibawayhi’s Book is still the controlling source which governs our grammar. The briefs and poems have no longer the power to meet the requirements of the grammar lesson. Even the old publications however scientific they are, cannot remedy the miserable. A number of scientific scholars have undertaken this task. Their endeavor has been welcomed recently. And as much as possible they have made use of the old attempts such as that of Ibn Madha’a Al - Qurtubi (592H). Really, one of the modern remarkable attempts may be that of Ibrahim Mustafa whose opinions have their obvious influences on the modern grammatical lesson. He tries to depend on meaning when interpreting linguistic phenomena. As far as he got rid of the theory of grammatical operator (al - a’amil), which was the basis for grammatical lesson that governed and complicated it, he was agreed by plenty of scholars such as Dr.Ahmed Abdulsattar Al - Juwari and Dr.Mahdi Al - makhzoomi and others. Since Arabic is an inflected language, one can imagine the difficulty faced by the researcher to facilitate its grammar. Really, no language can be simplified, but there are a group of ideas through which the linguists try to interpret the linguistic phenomena and this should be the concern of the researcher. These attempts showed extreme criticism and they were not free from some shortcoming. This study tries to shed light on these attempts and simplifies Arabic grammar comprehensively. We have discussed the difficulties of Arabic grammar and the reasons beyond that, in addition to grammar, its evolution and development as well. The study has also tackled thoroughly the phenomenon of parsing in Arabic, and the attitude of the old grammarians towards this phenomenon. The researcher has carried out an analytical study of the researchers’ opinions in simplification to be aware of the value of these opinions, and whether they can be a right nucleus to a simple and easy grammar lesson. It is not easy to achieve that because of the width of the scope of the research, greatness of differences and abundance of Arabic produced knowledge in the field of grammar. Clearly, the shortage of the serious analytic knowledge of simplification in this area, led the researcher to carry out this type of study characterized by modernity and scientificness trying to find out the essence of the notion of simplifican and main elements which guided the scholars to come out with conclusions and recommendations to serve Arabic language and support those who study it. God is beyond our purpose

This study shows the effect of the Holy Quran in the development of Arabic language as we believe that the Holy Quran has enriched Arabic language with great creative energies which have not reached before its revelation though it has got to an advanced stage of development.In order to know the amount of Quranic development in the use of the sort of preposition known in Arabic as : Huroof al - ma'ani , (Huroof al - mani ) and specify its size and places, the study has chosen the two - latter and Three - latter prepositions in order to investigate their Quranic uses. In order to know this development , the Quranic uses were compared with another texts of rhetoric which represent the best rhetoric al ones before the revelation of Quran.This texts were quoted from the poetry of " The Suspended Poems ". The study has chose the Diwans of The Seven Suspended Poems according to Al - zozani version. their poets were : Umru'a aL - Qeis (80 b.h) ; Turaf bin AL - Abd (60 b.h) ; AL - Harith bin Hilleza (54 b.h) ; Amr bin Kalthoom (39 b.h) ; Antara bin Shadad (22 b.h) ; Zuhair bin Abi Salma (13 b.h) ; Labeed bin Rabia AL - Amiri (41 a.h).The Study has investigated the use of two - Letter and three - Letter prepositions in their Diwans and balanced the Quranic use with them. That was in three chapters the first chapter entitled "the preposition : its whatness , its place in language and use. This is a theoretical chapter which explained the meaning of the prepositions and its place among the parts of speech in Arabic and the ancient and modern Arab philologist's view point of its nature and function.Also the Speech levels in the use of words and how to change the means of eliciting the meaning according to the different levels speech The chapter has also presented the two theories of "alternation and affirmation" which were used to deal with the multi meaning of the preposition. The chapter ends with the conclusion on that the two theories are not exempt from criticism.In chapter two the study dealt with a new theory which can be applied to deal with problem of multi meanings of prepositions. it was entitled "The Central Connotation and Peripheral Connotation". This theory was applied to two - letter and three - letter prepositions successfully.As for the third chapter entitled " The Effect of Quranic Context in the Meaning of Letters " , it specified and limited with numbers the places of Quranic improvement of meaning of two - letter and three - letter prepositions.This was in two sections. the first was dedicated for revealing the meanings used and improved by the Holy Quran ; the second section was dedicated for the Quranic use of new meanings.It was found that there were five central meanings created by the Quran. There were also fourteen peripheral meanings which were not used before the revelation. This was the most important finding of the research through which the study could prove the theory presented at the outset of chapter three which is " the Quranic context is an essential influence in the improvement of the meanings of preposition ".There are other findings which have been found by the study. foremost of which is the amount of using two - letter prepositions by the Quran (48%) over what was with the Arab poets. the three - letter prepositions (42%) over what was used by the Arab poets.Most of the two - letter prepositions used in Quran were (from - min - من) and so was the case in poetry. The less widely used preposition was (what - ayاي) which indicates the answer. And in the poetry, the less used preposition was (wa وا) which was not used by the Quran.In general the Quran has used the two - letter and tree - letter prepositions widely.These are the most important findings. One can refer to the graphs at the end of the study in order to review the findings

This thesis concerns itself with applying the theory of the American philosopher Charles Sanders Peirce on one particular type of the Qur’anic verses. That is, the universal verses, which involve references to a number of aspects of the universe i.e., Earth, Heavens, Stars, Seas, Wind, among others.The thesis focuses on the second triadic proposed by Peirce to interpret the Sign. This triadic studies the Sign in relation to its subject, which is embodied in three components. They are : Icon, Index, and Symbol.The thesis falls into an Introduction, three Chapters and a Conclusion. The Introduction deals with such important and pertinent issues as the semiology, its origin, formation and development, its definition, and the semiotic approaches utilized by scholars in both Arabic and Western heritages. The Introduction also sheds some light on the contemporary trends of semiology manifested in the works of the main two philosophers i.e., Ferdinand de Saussure and Charles Sanders Peirce. The main semiotic pillars of Peirce's theory (Sign, Semosis, and Interpretants) along with the main bases upon which the semiotic approach is established are dealt with in the Introduction as well. The first Chapter accounts for the Semiotic Icon of the Universal Qur’anic Verses. In which the Iconic Signs of these verses are tackled. This Chapter begins with an introduction highlighting nature of the Semiotic Icon, its types, and its place in Peirce's sign system.The second Chapter deals with the Semiotic Index of the Universal Qur’anic Verses. In which the Index Signs of these verses are accounted for. This Chapter starts with an introduction underlining nature of the Semiotic Index as proposed by Peirce.The third Chapter attends to the Semiotic Symbol of the Universal Qur’anic Verses. In which the Symbolic Signs of these verses are dealt with. This Chapter begins with an introduction underscoring nature of the Symbolic Sign, its types, its place in Peirce's semiotic theory, and the movement of its interpretants. The conclusion, however, summarizes the main ideas covered in the thesis along with the results arrived at by the present researcher. A list of the sources and references consulted in the study is presented at the end of the thesis.

The study includes study of the interpretation of Min Al - Huda Al - Quran by Sayyd Al - Mudarisi - a semantic study. The nature of study required that it is divided into an introduction, four chapters and a conclusion. The Preface includes (The Semantics for the Interpretation). Chapter One is entitled the Inflectional significance and the inflectional. In Chapter Two is entitled the Semantic Relation in three inquires : the first inquiry was (the antithesis and Synonym). The second inquiry is entitled (Semantic change) and the third is entitled (the semantic opposition). The third chapter is entitled (the grammatical semantic) in four inquires; the first inquiry is (the semantic of the letter meaning), the second is (The Semantic of Nouns and Verbs), the third is (the Semantic of Sentence and its meaning) and the fourth (the Semantics of Styles). Chapter Four is entitled the (The Semnatic of Text - The great Lingual technique). It includes two inquires; the first is (the context for Al - Mudrisi) and the second (the semantic harmony between verses and suras). Then, these chapters were followed by a conclusion that includes the most important findings of the study such as that Sayyd Al - Mudarisi was aware of the inflectional semantic, the interpretation lacked the phonetic semantic , and the interpreter was aware of the semantic relation and others.

The poet Zahir Al - Jeizani is one of the seventy s generation poets that seeks for the renewal and contrary the form and content of the modern poem.He started with the vertical poem as a traditional exercise , after that he wrote the rhyme poemaffected by the pioneers liveliness.Then he wrote the prose poem. The headline of my research “ Stylistic Phenomena in Zahir Al Jeizani Poetry “ that suggested by my teacher Dr Jassim Husein sultan Al - Khalidi. I found it as a worthy , because it is one of the subjects that didn’t teach on the higher studies level. In addition to that , my desire to study the modern Iraqi literature that represents the natural resource for our literary legacy for different ages and the cultural and critical poetry that Al - Jeizani has , was another motive in studying this poet according to the stylistic manner and the fewness of the modern stylistic studies of the seventy s generation and be limited to artistic and analytic studies. The importance of this study is the concentrate of the stylistic phenomena that distinguish Al - Jeizani poetry and how it connected with him and psychological affect on him. The first chapter is about the phonetic level (rhythm structures )and it is divided in to three topics , the first topic included the frequency studying as an artistic expressional need in the poetic text.The poet made it as a style in many contexts such as words, verbs , letters ,sounds and punctuation marks frequency. The second topic is about the revolving phenomenon as one of the modern poem requirements and its psychological and emotional on the poetic text. The third topic is about variety of the rhythm and types of the rhyme according to the mental requirements and modernism in the modern poem structure. The second chapter is about the level structural and included the stylistic structural phenomena in the poet language. It divided in to three topics , the first one is about the question and calling phenomena as a stylistic request that covers his poetry and helps to motivate the poetic meanings.the second included the verbs tenses far from the obligated tense and how the poet gave it new standards by changing the tenses to make the poem as pulsing or living tissue The third topic included different stylistic patterns that came in his poetry like the pronouns structures and the advancing and retardation that came as a stylistic variety.The third chapter was specialized for the reference level. the first topic deals with the meaning glide with the presenting of the metaphor manner according to the poetry mode. The second chapter is about the colours by describing them as stylistic phenomenon that contribute with the richness of the poetry mode. The third one is about the accord phenomenon by describing as a n artistic and cultural phenomenon in the modern Iraqi poetry and its historic , koranic and literary usage.

This study tackles the theme of the Poetics of the Narration in the Novels Hamid Al - Shabeeb. The study is subdivided into a Preface and three chapters. In the preface we studied the concept of poetics in narration and its meaning. Chapter One studies the levels of the peoticlangauein the novels of Hamid Al - Shabeeb tackling in the first inquiry the ideological level, in the second inquiry we studied the expression in the third inquiry we tackled the psychological level, the fourth inquiry we studied the narrative space. In Chapter Two we traced the poetics of time in three inquiries : the first is about the narrative of time, in the second inquiry we study the level of the duration (duration). The third inquiry is about the level of recurrence. The third inquiry follows the poetics of the place in the first inquiry includes the dimension of time and its types. He narrative place comes in the second inquiry.We included in the Conclusion the most important findings of the study : 1 - The concept of poetic language is the most accepted in the poetic language, because poetic language is more expressive and better in status. In addition to that it beaches the rules ofthe ordinary language. It also displaces it and reconstructs it again in new structural order. Poetic language composes the non - compassable.2 - Time includes recalling and foreseeing. Recalling is the process of remembering the incidents from the past and calling them to the represent time by the similar to these events. The foreseeing means anticipating the future. Maybe this is related to dreams sprang from optimism and excitement.3 - For the place and its importance as far as the novel is concerned. Place includes the closed space and the open space. There is also the realistic place and the imaginary place in the novel. In the end of the dissertation were listed a list of the references and resources and an abstract in English.

The present study entitled (linguistic context in Asas al balagha and its impact on semantic diversity) The importance of this topic lies in its effect on leading the meaning, some words still ambiguous in its meaning, unless used in its context. The present study consists of a preface and three chapters, preceded by an introduction and followed by a conclusion. The first chapter entitled (the evidence and its linguistic context) that consists of four topics. In the first one (the acoustic evidence and the acoustic context ), the second one is ( the morphological evidence and the morphological context), the third one (the grammatical evidence and the grammatical context) while the fourth one is (the collocations and the linguistic context).The second chapter entitled (Linguistic context and semantic relations) which consists of three topics. The first one is (Linguistic context and synonymously) while in the second topics (Linguistic context and subscribe verbal), the third one is (Linguistic context and opposites). The third and last chapter entitled (linguistic context and change semantic), the first topic is (linguistic context and semantic customization) the second one is (linguistic context and semantic generalization), and the third one is (linguistic context and semantic transition).And eventually I reached several conclusions, I recall them as follows : • Our ancient scholars realized that the concept of the context and its important function which consist of specifying the meanings of the words, it becomes a linguistic theory proposed by the British linguist (John Robert Firth) who improved it in order to become a comprehensive theory including integrated aspects of the theory influenced by many others. • The evidence has major importance in the linguistic context, they contribute to determine the meaning of the word, they also because it works to specifying the meaning of the word, also it has the main importance in achieving the connection between parts of structure.• The opinions of modern linguists differ with ancients linguists in synonymous. The Modern sees that there is no completely synonymous among words and the meaning of synonymous is semantic convergence. • A linguistic context has its effect in specifying the meaning of co - verbal vocalizations, And words of opposites is the one who sets us one meaning in every sentence.

The research studies the phenomena of standardization tafasuh (Over correctness) taking Al - hamza as a model for it. It was based on the few examples based on the odd examples from Arabic sources, with an attempt by the Arabic language scholars to stop the expansion of these instances, as the state of standardization to come out of it either asking for the origins or for imitation, or for exaggeration. All that was a simulation to search in their emergence, commonality and their reasons and functions as well as the aspects of strength which enable its examples to enter into books arable sources. Also, the study tries to search in the Arabic traces whether sportively or negatively. Form the results of the study the phenomenon is deep rooted in Arabic and its not one of the characteristics its self. The emergence of phenomenon and the secret of its strength and survival were because of its relation to motivations of the articulator and their ends in the first degree. The researches refer to that the process of substitute in an involuntary and may be also voluntary. It divides the apparent examples about the patterns into rejected and other accepted, and applying some of the proof of its existence because of the flexibility of its laws not through proof. The research showed that standardization has contributed to the increase of the articulate wealth of it. The recommendation of the study is to teach the phenomena of the concerned to evade the negative results.

This study is an attempt to investigate; the originality of the voiced Arabic articulation in the writings of the orientalists, linguist and nonlinguists. The study reveals their opinions and assesses the phonetic theory of the ancient Arab scholars. It aims at the finding out the scattered works in one unified study to fill the gap in the Arabic phonetic system. The study is divided into four chapters after an introduction and a preface. In the Preface, the general meaning of orientalism, its beginning, objectives, and the methods applied in the study of Arabic phonetics. Chapter One tackles the early writings of linguistics of orientalists, and the sources of the linguistic orientalism in which I displayed the most important writings of the orientalism (dialicism), syntactical and inflectional and the comparative linguistics. The chapter also studies the most important phonetic entries which orientalists tackled. Chapter Two studies in two inquiries the definition of the sound and the manner of articulation. The first inquiry studies the mechanism of articulation and the organs involved in sound production. The second inquiry studies the sound outputs, their number for the ancient and modernists scholars. Chapter Three includes the features of Arabic sources in the studies of the orientalists, and the basis on which they depended in the categorization in the light of modern phonetics. Chapter Four is devoted to the study of the Arabic vowels in the orientalists studies, in which the concept of vowel and the reasons of preferring the vowels for some of the concepts used by the Arab scholars used and followed by the orientalists to express the vowels. The research tackled the various phonetics like the concept of accents) diacritical marks), the number of vowels and their articulation. The Chapter also includes the subsidiary emphatic pronunciation. The dissertation a concluded the most important finding of the study, suggestions and names of the prominent orientalists whose names were mentioned.
