المستخلص: The most important of urbanization in cities indicators is the shift from rural life to urban population growth due to natural growth and migration of internal and external both types as well as high natural growth rate of population growth, and all that has led to population momentum in the cities led to the fluctuate population balance and for concentration of population excessive in cities certain, especially large cities, research tries to study the disadvantages of excessive and its impact of urbanization on cities in the economic and social aspects in terms of the lack of services and overtaking on the capacity of the city, as well as the search will go with the concepts of sustainable development in cities and their relationship to growth and urbanization will examine the impact of excessive urbanization on land use negatively and positively, it will discuss urban land market and the absorptive capacity of the land of the aspects of housing and urban transport in particular.The research problem is the lack of a clear scale and a clear mechanism to assess the excessive increase in the urbanization of cities and the effect of this increase on the diversity and changing land use, this relationship between excessive urbanization and uses the picket relationship which in turn will determine the subsequent form of the city, where the total number of posts and uses the space increases increasing the volume of works and the type of function, leading to excessive use of urban land, It will aim research to analyze the changes that occur in the cities as a result of excessive urbanization and its impact on the increase and diversification of land use in cities, and analysis of these changes in the light of global studies in this area to find a flaw areas and deficiencies in the Iraqi cities, as I suppose Find the excessive urbanization witnessed in modern cities as a result of population growth and rising birth rates and reducing mortality rates and increased immigration has led to a change of land use in cities and the creation and the development of new uses and that the growth process over the index of random urban growth and lack of consistency in the distribution of services compared to the population distribution, which also means unequal road networks in terms of Takaful and utilitarian and a weak economic base and would be unable to city funding changes and the growth and spread of unemployment and lack of individual productivity and increase urban spending, while the scope of the research included the temporal border since placed first for the city of Arbil, the basis of the scheme in 1959 to 2014, extent, and limits the spatial included the region in the environment limits urban city of Arbil consisted of seventy - five and confined area within the street percent, meters, and has research descriptive and analytical approach adopted a formula that research aimed at qualitative and quantitative description of the phenomenon or set of phenomena combined interconnected through the use of known data collection tools. المستخلص: The research studied the analysis of the economic structure of Tikrit and showed its economic capacity, to provide an important information and analytic database needed by the decision and policy makers when they plan to develop the economics of the city (Tikrit). Some regional economic methods have been used in the analysis process such as economic base, location quotation, and shaft share methods since these methods can give more precision results for the planners.The main problem is the lack of most of the cities and provinces including Tikrit to sufficient economic studies shows the economic reality, specialty, the variety, the consumption industries, the production industries, for domestic consumption and export … etc. and determine the economic base of the city; whether its agricultural, industrial or tourism.Aim : The aim of the research is to analysis the economic reality of Tikrit using some important analytical methods such as economic base, location quotation, and shaft share methods, those methods can take part in analyzing the economic structure of Tikrit and show its economic capacity to give an indicators needed by the decision makers to improve the local and regional economic reality, and determine the essence of technical ways that can improve the analysis method, and the modality of using those methods in the analysis of the local economics.Hypothesis : the research is analysis the economic structure of Tikrit using regional quantity methods which have more accurate and clear results and can help in scientific and realistic analysis, and can also help to predict the future accurately, and this can help to make more reasonable plans.Research end up with few conclusions, the most important one that every work chance in 1987 in the province level at the base sector generates 1.3 work chance at the non - base sector, while at 2011 it generates 1.9 work chance at the non - base sector.On city level (Tikrit) every work chance in 1987 in the province level at the base sector generates 1.3 work chance at the non - base sector, while at 2011 it generates 2 work chance at the non - base sector.On the economic activities level Tikrit has higher level in health and education sectors than other districts in salahuddin province.
