Abstract: The main purpose of this thesis is to determine the cyclic decomposition of the finite abelian factor group cf(Dnh,Z)/R(Dnh) when n is an odd number, which is denoted by K(Dnh) .We have found that the cyclic decomposition of K(Dnh) depends on the elementary divisor of n ,if n= Moreover we have found the rational valued characters table of the group Dnh .We have used the Matlab program to calculate some results of this thesis .

Abstract: هذه البحث يعنى بالحلول العددية والتقريبية لمسائل السيطرة المثلى التربيعية المنتهية وغير المنتهية والتي تحكم بالمعادلات التفاضلية الاعتيادية التي تمثل القيود. الطرق المطروحة تصنف الى طرق مباشرة وغير مباشرة. الطرق غيرالمباشرة عادة استندت على الشروط الضرورية لللامثلية. بالاضافة الى الشروط الضرورية، يجب فحص الشرط الكافي لضمان امثلية الحلول. مسالة TPBV هي نتيجة تطبيق شروط الامثلية. الطرق المباشرة في هذا البحث وظفت باستخدام اسلوب SVP لتحويل مسالة السيطرة المثلى التربيعية الى مسالة البرمجة التربيعية على اساس استخدام دوال اساسية مختلفة لتقريب منظومة متغيرات الحالة بواسطة طول محدد من سلسلة الدوال الاساسية بالمعلمات المجهولة. يقترح في هذا البحث خوارزميات عددية جديدة والمتضمنة : خوارزمية اويلر, خوارزمية شبه المنحرف, خوارزمية استكمال اويلر, خوارزمية استكمال شبه المنحرف. هذه الخوارزميات تصنف ضمن الطرق غير المباشرة لحل مسائل السيطرة المثلى التربيعية. بالاضافة الى ذللك, ثلاث خوارزميات مباشرة جديدة والتي استندت على اسلوب SVP وتتضمن الخوارزميات SVPL , SVPH وSVP . هذه الخوارزميات تعتمد على متعددات حدود لاكير, متعددات حدود هيرمت ودوال لاكير كدوال اساسية لحل مؤشرات الانجاز التربيعية للزمن المنتهي وغير المنتهي مشروطة بمنظومة متغيرات الحالة. يعتبر استخدام متعددات حدود لاكير وهيرمت اضافة الى دوال لاكير يتم للاول مرة. بعض الصيغ المهمة اشتقت وبرهنت, حيث كانت ضرورية في تطبيق الخوارزميات المطروحة في هذا البحث. علاوة على ذلك, قدمت في هذا البحث خوارزميات غير مباشرة جديدة وكفوءة. هذه الخوارزميات استندت على تطبيق فكرة طريقة الطيف باستخدام سلسلة القوى, متعددات حدود لاكير وهيرمت ودوال لاكير للحصول على الخوارزميات SMP , SML , SMH وSMبالتتابع. اشتقت بعض الخواص الجديدة لسلسلة القوى, متعددات حدود لاكير وهيرمت ودوال لاكير لتسهيل الحسابات.طبقت الخوارزميات المطروحة على بعض الامثلة واعطيت نتائج افضل مقارنة مع طرق اخرى معطاة في المصادر [50], [49], [27], [25],[9] . | This thesis is concerned with the numerical and approximate solutions of both finite and infinite quadratic optimal control (QOC) problems that are governed by ordinary differential equations which represent the constraints. The proposed methods are classified as indirect and direct methods. The indirect methods are usually based on the necessary optimality conditions. Besides necessary conditions, sufficient condition has to be checked to ensure the optimality of the solution. The result by applying these conditions is a two point boundary value problem (TPBV). The direct methods in our work is employed by using state vector parameterization (SVP) technique to convert the QOC problem into a quadratic programming problem. Here the state vector parameterization is based on different basis functions to approximate the system state variables by a finite length of the basis functions series of unknown parameters.This thesis presents proposed numerical algorithms including : sigle - step methods (SS) (Euler method and modified Euler methods) and sigle - step extrapolation method (SSE) with the aid of Euler method and modified Euler methods which are classified within the indirect methods to solve some QOC problems. In addition, three modified algorithms which are depending on SVP technique including : state vector parameterization with Laguerre polynomials (SVPL), state vector parameterization with Hermite polynomials (SVPH) and state vector parameterization with Laguerre functions (SVP ) to solve the finite and infinite time quadratic performance indices subject to the system state variables. The use of Laguerre and Hermite polynomials as well as Laguerre functions is new. Some important formulas are derived and proved which are essential in these methods. Furthermore, in this work very efficient algorithms are proposed which are based on applying the idea of spectral method using power series, Laguerre polynomials, Hermite polynomials and Laguerre functions, as abasis functions, to give the methods SMP, SML, SMH and SM respectively. To facilitate the computations, new properties of power series, Laguerre polynomials, Hermite polynomials and Laguerre functions called differentiation operational matrices are derived. Additionally, the proposed algorithms have been applied for several examples. We find that the proposed methods produce better or comparable results to that given in [9], [25], [27], [49] and [50].
