Abstract: Praise is to Allah, Lord of all creatures, and blessing joined with peace of God be upon the seal of the Prophets and messengers (Mohammad) as well as his faithful Companions. Amen This research deals with literary criticism efforts which have been previously published on an Iraqi magazine "Al - Aqlam" extending to the period 1990 - 2010. It is titled as "The Trends of Poetic text Criticism ", as no unanimous approach deals with the literary criticism; moreover, there are several approaches contribute in one literary trend. Psychological Trend; for instance, has variant approaches : Freud - method, Lacan method, and Yong method. Each approach has its unique view and it somehow differs from another approach even if all approaches contribute on comprehensive view which it is the - psychological view. These fore mentioned methods are achieved on the level of theorization, and they are based on the same environmental rules. What is about the researchers who received the trends through translation?. The critical application in tackling literary texts ensures us that there is no specific enclosed approach can be applied on constant procedures and is applicable on all its details, but the overlap is obvious between all the different approaches. Therefore, it is impossible to depend on a constant inevitable approach because the criticism process is an interaction process between the creative text, the critic and his own literary and critical taste. For these reasons the critical trend is acceptable further than the depending approach. The period , which covers the articles within the research, is between 1990 - 2010, i.e. it extends for about 20 years and the concentration stage of the study was achieved on the last of this period ; in order that the study will be contemporary to the modern - literary criticism movement or to the literary criticism movements which have recently seen the light. This study presently shows unprecedented trends, since it includes for the first time studies about trends of literary criticism never established in the Arabic region; for instance, it includes the Cultural Criticism. For this reason, we'd rather the study be practiced on the recent years of the mentioned period since the Arabic region has witnessed relative stability.This research is established to deal with selective poetical texts, because it is impossible to deal with all the poetical texts published within the specific mentioned period. The plan has been put by researchers into choosing some agreeable poetical poems samples , the selective process had come according a certain view since the research obliged itself not to repeat the critic's name more than once , in order to be obtainable for more additional critics' names contribute on one study. The plan is made not to confine the critic's study to be subjected for unique circumstances whether the critic himself is one the followers of a certain trend or vice versa. These studies published in "Al - Aqlam Magazine" are by no means the best studies; however, the magazine includes between its pages many studies that differ between high significance and low - significance in order to let the reader read the magazine objectively. The research does not display the good studies only but also displays studies under the hopefulness level and the purpose beyond that is to disclose about the defects and to determine its places in order to overcome upon the defects. The research tries to achievean elaborate discussion and an analytic criticism to the under discussion critical context through active imposed dialogue in order to be capable of stopping at each point worthy of discussion , and lastly can classify each discussed point to be ordered and organized to its principal reference depending on the available critical - publications. On the other hand, the research can assay each text, and discloses its contents or stops nearer in order to thrill noticeable questions. The study is distributed among three chapters : the first chapter, "The Contextual Trends ", is related to the critics who made their deep comprehending understandable semantics meanings depending on the external environment i.e. the trends related to the factors are out of the text itself to understand the included meaning of the text. The second chapter, titled as "The Textual Trends", is concentrated on the critical achievements that depend on the text itself i.e. the efforts, which try to isolate the text, from the external factors in their approach. The third chapter, titled as " Other Trends " , includes critical efforts , which can not be ordered under neither the textual nor the contextual relation. Eventually the conclusion comes to conclude what is most significant on this study; moreover, the study has been initiated with preface to shortly introduce the reader to "Al - Aqlam Magazine ". Conclusions : Criticism movements have witnessed many continued turnings and many transformations; each trend may be utilized from the previous - mistaken trends, but after stages of its evolutionism, some of its adopters turn to be exaggerative then the defects occur once more which lead to emerge another trend as a result. The critical approaches, "Al - Aqlam Magzine" displays, are variant and different knowledge wise and type wise. Some of approaches are on the top of skillfulness and technique; while some of them are less significant.In addition, the approaches are variants according to the techniques they follow, so they come as (contextual, textual approaches and others). There is not a perfect application to any trend entirely, but in many - times the procedures violate the application limitedness, or maybe the researcher help himself, by a different approach, which his study adopts , because the creative doing is an art has its own property on estheticism and structure.Moreover, the creative doing is the outcome product of special essence lives on specific society which it has its own traditions and habits passes through specific history of special events and incidents This creative discourse or the creative dialogue is targeted to educated receiver of a good quality on culture and language, etc… Knowing these effecting factors is necessary to the critic of creativity, and it has an active consequence into directing the critical doing; therefore, there is not any critical approach that has the stability and the strictness or may refuse the borrowing from other trends. In addition, any critical doing has its own way in order to achieve its understandable point into the creative doing or to reveal and discover its nature, its esthetic secret, and its specific structure. The literary text has significant relation on the establishing process of the critical discourse and its procedures; because the literary text is the main substance of the criticism essence from which the critical process is formulated ; on the other hand , the discourse is not rooted out from the literary text and its procedures. Finally, praise is to Allah and peace and blessings be upon His honest Prophet. Amen.

Abstract: The aesthetic studies are seen as one of the attempts to investigate the textual structure in the modern criticism. These analyses disclose the relationship between elements of the text and how they are interrelated. Accordingly, the present study entitled Emam Hussein's Prose : an Analytical Study of the Aesthetic Structure of the Text is concerned with the aesthetic, speculative and interpretive analyses in an attempt to pick out those aesthetic aspects and relations from the prospect of their concordance, order, adjacency and similarity. At the same time, these studies reveal the non - correspondences and antitheses of these aesthetical signs of the text.The study falls into six chapters, distributed throughout two parts. The first part comprises three chapters. The first one is an introduction to the aesthetics and textual structure in the contemporary criticism presenting a number of different views about the aestheticism. The second chapter is concerned with the aesthetics of lexical patterns in the texts as being used in Emam Hussein's prose writing and how critics have analysed these patterns. The third chapter discusses the aesthetical applications of the lexical patterns in the contemporary criticism. The second part is also composed of three chapters. The first one is concerned with discussing the aesthetics of similarity or conformity and adjacency and collocation in modern criticism as far as Emam Hussein's prose is concerned. The second chapter presents the aesthetics of the structure of condensing and the nature of its formation in rhetoric and criticism as well as how it is represented in Emam Hussein's prose. The third chapter argues the aestheticism of rhymed prose. and assonance in modern criticism and in Emam Hussein's prose.

Abstract: The Islamic oration was affected by rhetoric which was enlightened by the Holy Quran and the Prophet's Pure Talks to promote the art mode of the Arabic literature to such a remarkable level that couldn’t be noticed in the pre - Islamic period. Thus, it reached the peak. Oration is the only means of spreading and establishing new thoughts and concepts.At that time the orator became more comparable than the poet because oration was badly needed by people for establishing the principles of Islam and spreading its authority through preaching and directing them in the right way, and finally allow them to win what would enlighten their life on earth and after death. This also helped in uniting society, evoking determination and making enemies fear Islam.“Nahj Al - Balagha” represents a remarkable feature in the Islamic literature, being a unique mode and principle for all. It is a historical literal document second to the Holy Quran and the Pure Prophet's Talks in gaining rhetorical accuracy and magnificent mode.The Communder of the believers, Al - Imam Ali Bin Abi Talib, the henchman of Islam and the Prophet's son - in - law, was a caliph, a leader and a orator. He was the most revered and deliberate in manner; the knight who never hesitated to sacrifice for Islam and establish the good and right. He left behind unforgettable most effective literal inheritance for everyone and as our President Saddam Hussein (Allah may save and guard) said with regard of the evil forces “We are fighting them with the sword of Al - Imam Ali(peace be on him) to protect principles”. Indeed it is the sword of the right and good. And when one looks deeply into his words, he recognizes his rhetoric orations emerging from the bottom of his heart that was not free from pain These features appear in his oral and written orations. The warfare orations of Al - Imam make us feel that we are in front of a perfect magnificent rhetoric wording emerging from the bottom of a heart with some pain, so you find it stressed wording. He included in it what expresses God fearing and God worshipping and good deed. Oration was one of the Imam's weapons in his fights. He used it, owing to its being rhetorical, to evoke his men and encourage them and arousing their feelings and making them reach the aim he wanted them tounderstand and be aware of. I have chosen particularly the warfare orations in Nahj Al - Balagha to be aware of what they have from clarification. This is because those orations were often oral and none - officious, and free from any features of art. They are pure, so they represent the mode of the rhetorics. Some recent investigators have dealt with “The Nahj Al - Balagha” in general, and the orations in particular, but they were in grammatical and linguistic and artistry limitations. “The Clarification Performance in Warfare Orations” has not investigated the altogether content, but there are some bright images I utilized and some others I talked about.The references regard books of rhetoric, criticism and indication; and interpretation books of the Holy Quran and the Prophet's Talks sciences, and the proverbs as well as the Arabic literature cultural inheritance. I depended on Nahj Al - Balagha (Mohammed Abda Explanation) in determining the texts regarding warfare orations; and I also made use of Ibn Abi Hadeed Explanation.My research is arranged in three chapters proceeded by an a relusion and ended by a conclusion and as follows : Chapter one deals with the clarification performance aspects in warfare orations in Nahj Al - Balagha and includes four researches : assimilation, similitude, personification and association. Chapter two deals with the resources of the clarification performance of these orations - warfare orations - . The investigations are about The Holy Quran and the Pure Prophet's Talks and the Arabic poetry and then the Arabic proverbs.Chapter three deals with the functions of the clarification performance which comes in sequence as : the mental function, the psychological function, and the religious function.The conclusion includes : what the results that the research has arrived at. Then comes my whole tool in investigation, analysis, justification, and conclusion. These are the old and the new references. I have done my best and thanks to Allah I ended this research aided by Allah first, and by my supervisor Dr. Hakem Habeeb Al - Guraity who helped me much like a guiding torch in direction and reform. In the field of short stories , she had three groups " I wish i knew " , The lost aunt " , and " a struggle from real life ".The experience of the Martyrs narrator had a difference in the artistic level , sometimes , in the simplicity of froms inspite of good themes as in her novel " two women and a man " or in her short story " The lost aunt " but in some texts , we find a high artistic work written by a professional writer who knows how to write as in her novel " The virtue wins " and in her short story " The voice of conscience ".Althongh the experience of the writer had a growth in quantity , it witnessed agrowth in quality also. The Martyr narrator and through her understanding for the philosophy of writing stories works to define all the differences in life , its opposites and its basic unities through the credence on many elements , so we find in her stories many historical texts , verses , proverbs and wisdomsThrough the use of those implements , she was able to understand what is found in life and used it in her stories. The story for Bint A - Huda had enumeration directed by an artistic hand and sometimes , we find dialogues, and dramatic scenes and description and the credence on the Poetic language in many of her stories especially the short ones.It is a kind of contrast , the writer used it to reveal and discover the false ideology of the other discourse as adiscourse that produces the loss and poverty.These are some of the artistic features which we noticed through the study and research , but what is important to us is that which is related to the " martyr narrator " herself and her position in the world of literature and art especially in the field of novls and short stories.The martyr narrator has a clear understanding of the circumstances in which she lived. she knew the historical , ideological and social structures in her society and she worked to absorb and re - build them in her stories. This shows us that the writer interacts with those complex circumstances and work with a clear thinking that gives her the chance to destroy the negative aspects and disclose them in her stories and made the reader takes the side of the positive - voices and ideas that the writer wants to explain in her stories.The martyr writer, in all of her stories was interested in the struggle between the good and the evil and she did her best to make the voice of the good , the highest , and make it the basic way in human communication. In her rich experience which contained , what is artistic , scientific and what is political , she was abl to disclose the depths of the humanitic soul in all its kinds which she had known well. we are in front of awriter who watched and understood her socity , so the story for her , is that which looks for the meaning , principles and the virtue in aworld in which the principles had confused. Abstract: Each nation has its own heritage which it celebrates as it is considered one of its continuation and immortality basis, a heritage that ensure interconnection of its present time with past reaching the future. Our literary heritage, especially the Pre - Islamic one has derived its facts from the nomadic environment to which it belongs, so it portraited it in the truest way of expressing its values, habits, traditions, thought, achievements and exploits. Hence, it has become a mirror in which the life aspects manifestations would be reflexed, and an alive image of the life status prevailing that period.This heritage has remained as a fountain from which the poets drew their need throughout ages of them is the Ummayad Era.The nature of the subject required that the research should be organized in three chapters preced by an introduction and a preface and followed by a conclusion.In the introduction, I referred to the heritage concept linguistically and conventionally, explaining the objective and the artistic causes hidden behind the Ummayad Poets inclination towards the Per - Islamic heritage and investing it in their poetry.In the first chapter, I have deal with the social tradition represented by the virtuous and the habits Arab values ,the Arab days, and the historical personalities and hreed horses and camels.While in the second chapter , I have studied the intellectual tradition and what legends and beliefs it contains such as AlGhurab, Al - Shaqraq, Al - Haman, Al - Sada…etc.In the third chapter,I have deal with literary and artistic tradition.In the literary tradition I stopped at the names of the poets that the Ummayad poets took from ,and educated in their poetry.Also I have stopped at the proverbs as they considered a social art and one of the literary culture's fountains while in the artistic tradition I talked about the poem artistic structure which is comprised the introduction, details and the main purpose. In addition, I have studied the language in words and in structure and stopped at some structures found in the Ummayad poem.As for rhythm, I have explained the nature of the poetic meters that the Ummayad prefer when writing poetry and studied the artistic image explaining the extent of the Ummayad poets’ being affected by their ancestors and their following them whether on thelevel of the single verse or a set of verses, or an the level of the whole poem. In the conclusion, I have reviewed the most important results that the research reached, of them were the following : ?? The heritage of any nation do not stop at the margins of a specific era. It is a continuous series that takes from each era what enriches it as influence and being influenced is acharacteristic accompanying each heritage.?? The literary heritage(artistic objective) is the main source of writer's education in general, and the poet in particular.?? The nomadic Arab values the Arab inherent have taken their to the Ummayad poets under the influence of the party that has blazed again.?? One who studied the purpose of wisdom, found out that it came from apure natuve motivated by experience. The word wisdom ( AL - Hikma ) does not come in poetry only, but alse in the holy quran and the holy prophet speech which refers to it s elevation, importance and it is wide using among people. The word comes in ninteen quranic verses in twelve sora but in each times it carries adifferent meaning deduced from context. It also comes twenty times in the holy prophet speech. We showed the relationship of wisdom with proverb, since bothe of them are abrief phrase come as aresult of experience or a sight towards things and matters, but they differes in other things of which is that wisdomc comes from a ware mind or reason so its more elevated than proverb. More, Islam rise had the important effect on people lives becaus, it is wisdom and advic guides people to the right way. During Islam begining, wisdom wos not taken from experience only,as in the pre - Islamic period, but it also taken from quran and people interested on the wisdom of the holy quran for its splended meaning. In the Aummayiad era, wisdom was mixed with the other poetic purposes like elegy , praising and AL - Ekhwanyat as in the political and Enthusiasm poetry, wisdom was restricted to the idea of unifying the social relalionships. Abstract: Novel has been academically occupied for more than a decade in our country as it could expand and take up a place comparable to poetry, and it was the best way which could express a nation that had no stability and for it is the closest to reality, I have found an appropriate way through it to study the nature of the relationships between the components of this country(my country), so I can participate in restoring some of our image on the statement of how it was originally portrayed and what the lines of deformation are or the lines of fake beauty through which it was painted as well as how far it is realistic.The research field was to study the other people (Kurds) and be fully knowledgeable of who they really are.Here we are researching about the Kurds as other people and how the Arabs portrayed and imagine them, the Kurds who are different from the Arabs in terms of nationalism, language and culture and who have in common with each other in terms of living in the same country.How was the image portrayed? Was it negative or positive? How was the relationship between the two people politically inside that unified space? , this is what we are endeavoring to answer through our research relying on the following plan : Preface (portray of the latter (Kurds), concept and representation) : Theoretical presentation, in which we handled the concept of the portray, the latter, representation and idioms related to the latter (Kurds) as well as the ideology as an effective factor in establishing the portray of the Kurds.Regarding chapters and how they are divided, the thesis was in three chapters, each has two sections (researches).Chapter one is entitled as (the political portray of the Kurds and the ideological representation), in which we handled the relation between politics and ideology and literature; therefore, it was classified into two researches (sections) : The first one is (political portray/against the Kurds - with the authority), we stated how the political events affected between the two nationalities in establishing a negative image (portray) about the Kurds and how that taken portray leaked out. We handled novels which could be described as political ones in which there were political portrays formed against the Kurds.The second is entitled as (political portray/ with the Kurds - against the authority), we presented the events which resulted in meeting between the Arabs and Kurds as well as handling novels which contained positive images for the Kurds.Regarding the second chapter, it handled how the social relationships between the two parties (the social image of the Kurds) in the novel and it are divided into two sections (researches) : The first entitled as (Kurds are self participant - peaceful coexistence) in which we presented the meaning of peaceful coexistence and we also handled the novels which depicted the Kurds as participant to the Arabs through presenting portrays of peaceful coexistence between them.The second is entitled as (Kurds are self - paradox - self transformations and persistence) in which we presented an explanation for self concept and we studied novels depicted the selfness of the Kurds which was transformed, changed or dispersed in terms of identity and portrays for characters which were maintained in identity as well as our endeavor to state the formation of women's selfness.As for the third and last chapter, we took a pause at the nature of establishing the portray of the Kurds through establishment of technical studied novels (technical portray of the Kurds in the Arabic novels and it is in two researches : The first is entitled as (place shifts) in which we presented a theoretical presentation about the place and we handled the place shifts (the Kurd or how he is related to it) and its significance in the novels which presented portrays for the Kurdish environment and the places which were the settling ones for them.The second one is entitled as (point of view), it contained a theoretical introduction about (point of view) and then we studied point of view and visions in novels, subject of study as point of view establishes a technical standard in dealing with events from an angle.Eventually, we finished our research reaching to a closure which included all what we had come up with, I tried in my research(study) to answer all the questions that we put forward in the introduction and research them even relatively and prepared a summary for critical reading through which I endeavored to analyze novels and decode them.

Abstract: My thesis "Humanitarian Inclinations in Andalusian Poetry during the Age of Princelings" is composed of introduction, preface, and 2 chapters, each includes 2sections. The first section of the first chapter tackles the most important ages Andalusia had undergone before the Age of Princelings, and most prominent poets thereof. As for the second section, it tackles humanitarian inclinations in Andalusian poetry before the Age of Princelings. The first section of the second chapter exposes biographies of most prominent humanitarian poets of that Age, while the second section discusses humanitarian inclinations during the Age of Princelings.The preface includes information about humanity and its meaning in literature, and about sub states and princelings at the Age of Princelings.In short, my thesis exposes the humanitarian problems facing Andalusian poets being spokesmen of typical Andalusians. The problems used to be many whereas their solutions used to be almost "nil" because to fund deficiency due to the events they were exposed thereto subsequent to dividing their country into sub states and princelings as a result of their kings' misbehaviour, tyranny, and plunge in lusts, wine, impudence, effemination and invasion to enlarge their kingdoms. The victim was none but the typical Andalusian having to bear the rulers' tyranny as he was burdened with huge amounts of taxes he had to pay… he would see his money go to rulers squandering the same on their lusts whereas taxpayers were in bad need therefor to provide their families to improve their living… that was very painful. Hence, many found themselves obliged to leave their families, children and homes to get rid of that tyranny. Others were thrown into prisons and expatriated… the reasons were numerous and trivial. Andalusian poets undertook to depict all tragic events and scenes via rime, dictions, and figures of speech. So, they were not safe from the rulers' tyranny. Therefore, many poets emigrated… many were thrown into prisons… many were deported…Once you want to get acquainted with Andalusians' sufferings at that time, my thesis is exposed for you to read its contents and get knowledge thereabout… May God grant us success and prosperity.

It divides thesis into an introduction and three chapters discussing the reading of the text and margin in Adonis "The Book"; it depends on three pivots; first fundamental; second foundation; and the third the term which seeks for the potential exemplar of knowledge beyond Adonis's creative and intellectual idea. On the light of the exemplar, the term "the text and the margin in The Book" will be specified. The first chapter is The start / Deconstruction which discusses the tools of Adonis's critical view point toward The Stable / The religion. The first tool : the rebellion against the sacred; the second : the glorification of sin. Chapter two is The Conflict / the revelation which throws light on the dialectic of text and margin leading to exposing knowledge. That is achieved through three points; first is the combinative structure of The Book; the second is the dialectic the history of authority / the margin. The third is the dialectic of glorification / the body. Chapter three is salvation / visions which consists of a comprehensive vision discussing its singularity and its optimistic / pessimistic dimensions. The systematic and academic process of thesis ends up with conclusion which recapitulates the important results of the research, on intellectual level is that man in the absolute center of universe. On the creative level is that poetic writings do not correspond with axioms. However it is a perpetual transformation producing suspicion and anxiety in all certainties.

Abstract: After this long journey in the world of references and resources which have given me a lot of enjoyment I am about to embark on the end of my journey, here we should mention the most important results of this research : The way of balance was not easy, but risky because it is a thorny way and comprehensive process. Balancing between Al - Huttaya’a and Ibn bassam Al - Baghdadi - in their satirical sarcastic poetry she light on whatever concerned the two pets and revealed the hidden aspects of their lives and the influences in their satirical course depending the analysis and deduction in an objective way. The research revealed the circumstances surrounding the two poets. Their effect was one which is the hard circumstances that surrounded them and created two troubled, worried and troubled characters. There were incentives for their satire and sarcasm some was psychological and some was personal, social or political. The psychological incentive was stronger for Al - Huttaya’a while the political incentive was for Ibn bassam.For the trends of satire and sarcasm for the two poets, they share some and each was unique. The subject of satire which they share is self - satire, family (father, mother and siblings), the social segments like stingy people, cowards, liars, fools, etc. Also, they satirized the statesmen like caliphs, viziers, and rulers. The technical study took the great part of the balance the two poets for the inquiries and sections included, especially imagery like simile, metaphor and metonymy. For language they differed from each other in some aspects like the satirical tone : Al - Huttaya’a was characterized by his Bedouin language with its eloquence, while Ibn Bassam's language is simple and popular. The poetic segment is the dominant form on their satirical verse. They used some of the technical methods like interrogation, imperative, prohibition, interdiction, vocative, etc. The poets’ interest with the poetic rhythm : internal and external, in terms of meter and rhyme, the two poets did not get away from the meters of Artbaic poetry which were found by Al - Khalil bin Ahmed Al - farahidy. They also cared for the aesthetic devices like repetition, inlaying, segmentation, calembour, paronomasia, antithesis and opposition, etc.In the balance of critics, the two poets have gained a high satirical rank. Both were masterful of their arts and they were called ‘the poets of satire.’The satire of Al - Huttaya’a is modest and away from obscenity while that of Ibn Bassam was obscene.Al - Huttaya’a was outstanding in personal satire, while Ibn Bassam was remarkable in his political satire due to the bad political circumstances. Finally, this study tackled the hidden aspects of the two poets Al - Huttaya’a who lived between pre - Islamic period and Islam and Ibn Bassam Al - Baghdadi who lived in the Second Abbasid Era.

Abstract: The critical and academic studies demonstrated a great interest in the Arabic novel and exerted much efforts in the search, analysis and follow up of its different types, elements, artistic techniques, and narrative structure, that's why we proposed that our study be centered on the academic studies that focused on the Arabic novel through the search and analysis depending on criticizing the criticism. Our concern was limited to the M.A. theses in the department of Arabic in the University of Baghdad in the time period (2004 - 2013). The study has been divided into three chapters and twenty theses discussing in their content different concepts of the novel have been investigated. The study starts with a preface having three axes. The first has to do with literature, and the literary genres, and the second is related to the novel, criticizing and illustrating the stages the novel passed through since its rise until we received it the way it is and as has been studied in the thesis. The third axis contained an introduction of criticizing criticism, its concept and essentials. The first chapter (studying the contents and the subjects) has been divided into three sections introduced by a preliminary section clarifying the importance of the contents for the realistic novel in specific and for the novel in general. The study, in the first section, deals with subjects related to the (city and the society) dealt with by most of the university theses. The second section, on the other hand, dealt with the subjects related to (the exile, and the diaspora) after being considered by the academic researcher a phenomenon that pervade the Arabic novel in general, and the Iraqi novel in specific as a result of the wars and the policies of the governing regimes. The third section was dedicated to the (hero and the human models) that has a vital and fundamental role in the society and its social issues including the class, cultural and moral disparity The second chapter (studying the artistic structure) started with an introduction clarifying the importance of the narrative form in the structure of the novel. This chapter has been divided into two sections, the first one was dedicated to studying the artistic elements of the novel (time, place and character). The second section was concerned with studying the artistic techniques of the novel such as (ways of introducing the characters, a description and a dialogue) according to what the M.A. theses have addressed. The third chapter, on the other hand, (the viewpoint and the narrative structure) has an introduction clarifying the importance of the narrative structure and the importance of the narration. I found it as a worthy , because it is one of the subjects that didn’t teach on the higher studies level. In addition to that , my desire to study the modern Iraqi literature that represents the natural resource for our literary legacy for different ages and the cultural and critical poetry that Al - Jeizani has , was another motive in studying this poet according to the stylistic manner and the fewness of the modern stylistic studies of the seventy s generation and be limited to artistic and analytic studies. The importance of this study is the concentrate of the stylistic phenomena that distinguish Al - Jeizani poetry and how it connected with him and psychological affect on him. The first chapter is about the phonetic level (rhythm structures )and it is divided in to three topics , the first topic included the frequency studying as an artistic expressional need in the poetic text.The poet made it as a style in many contexts such as words, verbs , letters ,sounds and punctuation marks frequency. The second topic is about the revolving phenomenon as one of the modern poem requirements and its psychological and emotional on the poetic text. The third topic is about variety of the rhythm and types of the rhyme according to the mental requirements and modernism in the modern poem structure. The second chapter is about the level structural and included the stylistic structural phenomena in the poet language. It divided in to three topics , the first one is about the question and calling phenomena as a stylistic request that covers his poetry and helps to motivate the poetic meanings.the second included the verbs tenses far from the obligated tense and how the poet gave it new standards by changing the tenses to make the poem as pulsing or living tissue The third topic included different stylistic patterns that came in his poetry like the pronouns structures and the advancing and retardation that came as a stylistic variety.The third chapter was specialized for the reference level. the first topic deals with the meaning glide with the presenting of the metaphor manner according to the poetry mode. The second chapter is about the colours by describing them as stylistic phenomenon that contribute with the richness of the poetry mode. Abstract: The discussion can be summarized as follows : Praise be to Allah, and the best pray and peace upon His prophet Mohammed, and upon his followers and companions. My thesis entitled ( Critical Opinions on the Altawabaa Wal Zawabaa and Alghufran theses; Comparable Study ) consist of the search on a subject arousing debate and controversy that is is there an influence between the two writers in these two theses. Some scholars see there is an influence between Almaree and Ibn Shuhayd, and other think the reverse, and the third one stand equitable between the two writer, they say that there is no influence between the two theses. All of this issue with all its reflections and what is aroused about it was a good reason for me to investigate and search about the truth through the search in the opinions and the critical thoughts which is found with in the two theses, then to find if there is an influence between of them or not. This is a new vision about the influence issue but in another hand it became scientific more than being a controversy and supposed issue. Thus I find it is necessary to divide me thesis into a preface and four sections and an end. I have focused on the nature of the criticism at the Third and fourth centuries(Hegira).Through the first part I have talked about the biography of the two writers and about the content of the two theses. In the second part I have talked about the critical opinions in the Altawabaa and Alzawabaa thesis, and at the third part I have displayed the critical opinions in the Alghufran theses, while at the fourth part I have displayed the equality between the two theses and I have centered on four items formed into four parts; at first section I have talked about the main issues that the two writers had participated in their study and this issues are; pronunciation and meaning, mode and artificiality, old and modern and the poetic steals. The second section is about what is Ibn Shuhayd write about, and the third section is about what is Abu Allaa wrote about, while the fourth section was about the equality of the language between the two researchers on there theses, and the style of them in displaying the critical issues within his thesis. After the search and the study for the critical issues which is found in the two theses I have find that there is no influence between the two critics in their critical opinions more over in their language and their style and this mean that the issue of influence and effect is not found because the huge difference between the soul and the mentality of the two writers and between the subject of the two theses. Thus it is acceptable the say of those who say that there is no influence between the two critics in there theses because of the mentioned reasons and we approve the saying which say that there is influence between the two writer in there Islamic point of view through the ( Alesraa Wal Miraaj Story ) and (fairies world ) and ( the last life )and what is mentioned in the Holy Qur'an and Sunah and a description to its people and its views concerning to Paradise and its hellfire concerning to the Hell.

Abstract: The present research probes into the portrait of argumentation in AlSalik's poetry. The significance of this research derives from the crucial role played by argumentation in the active intellectual life. This research makes use of modern literary theories in examining AlSalik's poetry. Previous research has overlooked this issue examining other issues like the linguistic or rhetoric aspect of this kind of poetry. It is worth noted that most of AlSalik's poetry is full of argumentation, persuading attempts and submissiveness making it argumentative and far from being simple. This research has dedicated itself to the examination of this kind of poetry from the Pre - Islamic era to the end of Umayyad era. It is theoretical and applied research in nature falling into three chapters with an introduction. The introduction entitled "The Argumentation and its Development" tackles what is meant by argumentation and how it is evolved! Start with defining argumentation linguistically and technically, and following its historical development for westerners and easterners. Chapter one entitled" Elements of Argumentation" has three sections. Section one deals with the AlSaluk poet in the Pre - Islamic, Islamic and Umayyad eras and the reasons behind the emergence of such kind of poets like the poverty, the tribal system and self - conditions. Section two sheds light on the audience of the AlSalik's poetry such as the tribe and the people in the power position. And section three presents the subjects of AlSalik's poetry like adventures, elegies, praising, etc. Chapter two explains the different types of argumentation and arguments. It has two sections. Section one spots light on the various types of argumentation such as acting argumentation, interpreting argumentation and measuring argumentation. Section two deals with the two main types of argument based on Perelman's taxonomy. Chapter three, on the other hand, is divided into two sections. Section one lists the main mechanisms or techniques of argumentation adopted by these poets to persuade their audience including linguistic tools (such as lexical choices, argumentative conjunctions and some verbs), rhetoric tools (such as simile, metaphor and allegory) and metrics (such as antithesis, antonymy and metaphor). Section two is a detailed analysis of Alshanfri's poem shedding lights on his biography and the argumentative nature of his poem. It details the main techniques of argumentation used by the poet in persuading his audience. Finally, the research has been concluded with the main findings achieved highlighting that AlSalik's poetry is not naïve in its nature rather it is based on reasoning which affects the audience and their means.

Abstract: My thesis entitled : (Religious Intertextuality in the Poetry of the Ghdeeriyat from The Encyclopedia of Sheikh Amini as a Model,), in which I applied one of the concepts of modern criticism which is Intertextuality on the poems taken from Islamic Heritage. My goal is to contribute to the revival of the heritage by using modern approaches.I studied the Ghdeeriyat poets from the first century after Higrah to the sixth century. The number of poets whom I studied their poetry of Ghadeeriyat is fifty - five. I have noticed that religious intertextuality was limited to the interaction with purely Islamic sources, such as the Koran, the Sunnah, biographies, and histories. That approves that these Ghadeeriyat are totally influenced by Islamic resources, as they did not demonstrate any other effects derived from other religious traditions.Koran was the cornerstone in the construction of intertextuality among poets, employing its words, phrases and connotations, using its style and reflections in a productive and interactive way. This interaction with the religious text demonstrates the evolution of the religious intertextuality. The tangible images varied in their texts including visual, auditory, and taste, it contributed to supplement the text with artistic beauty, continuous movement and imagery creativity reflecting the dominance of the sensory image in this accomplished poetic, which has added to the Arabic poetry creative a clear touch cannot be overlooked by unbiased critic.We have found that the poets of the Ghadeeriyat until the sixth century AH had been committed to the rhythm and did not follow those who tried to abandon them. They have totally turned away from composing poetry by feet of five rhythms, which are : the Hazaj, Madeed, Muqtadhab, Mudharia and Mutadara. In which they did not compose even one line. That may be because their desire to cope with inherited Arabic poetic, and respecting the recipient, as well as the lack of adequate freedom of expression and prolong the poem in these rhythms.The poets of the Ghadeeriyat preferred rhymes ending with vowel sound over that ending with constant sound in which they did not abandoned the Arabic poetic teste. The Ghadeeriyat were full of internal music, especially in the late centuries, reflecting the attention of poets to this arts after Ibn al Mua’taz had established the Badee’ and the style of modernize poets who followed Abu Tammam.

He has also pondered over universe and existence.His existential concern has been clear which was its main motive to think of the other world and the eternal rest.*It has become clear that Al - Samawi's has penetrated the language looking into it as deep as his emotions using its styles in line with what he deems convenient for his psyche and doctrine. He reclines once on the eternity expressions of the heritage while in other times uses simple expressions , but the language of eternity which has taken a distinctive feature is the easy and simple language. His poetic lexicon has been characterized by the domination of the eternity expressions and their derivatives. They are considered the most dominant expressions over the poet's vision. Through these dominating expressions , he has been able to express cases struggling in his mind whether in reality or in imagination.*It has been apparent that Al - Samawi made manifested the linguistic structure in the poetry of eternity in more than one meaning as deemed convenient according to his poetic experience. The poet , therefore, has subjected for this purpose expression and constructions which he thinks they can achieve this objective. These style have varied and they have been controlled by his poetic feelings and emotions.*Al - Samawi has adopted the traditional criteria in the metrical structure of his poem. Examining carefully and employing the Arabic metres , he has revealed to us the intensity of his use to specific metres as used by ancient poets such as the metres of the Kamil, Tawil, Khafif, and Basit. He has intentionally resorted to metres diversity in texts where homogeneous and heterogeneous metres are used for the sake of waving movements among feet. As for rhyme, it looked as though it were a rich multidimensional sonorant action which has contributing to granting the text sobriety and stability.in addition to shedding light on the semantic dimension of texts.*The internal music for the poetry of eternity has reflected in alliteration and bringing the reare to the fore to express what Al - Samawi feels of. it has also been found that he resorts to repetition in its being one of the styles of expression. The poet had recourse to creating his own internal music through repeating a group of sounds which have a specific type of phonetic characteristics. He has repeated letters, utterances and constructions to perfect the meaning and fix it alongside phonetic effects to achieve musical harmony.*Al - Samawi has found in the Glorious Quran an inexhaustible fountain of meanings and utterances which have been absorbed by his mind and filled the depths of his soul. So, he started to drink of this sweet fountain living with the verses of eternity to such an extent that his texts were formation of many texts rephrased to meet his poetic attitude and vision.*The role of the religious symbol in the poetry of eternity has become apparent and the most outstanding symbol has been that of religious and historical heritage. The poet has been in the habit of recalling his immortal religious characters whichreflects his feeling that such characters were of great richness especially when we take into consideration that his look is in accordance with his psyche and poetic experience ; thus he has cared a lot for his doctrinal thought which formed later on a discourse specific to him in order to achieve cohesion between his experience and the symbol of eternity because he has expressed what he has inside himself by means of subjective motives.*The study has revealed the domination of personification in an imaginative context adopted by the poet in more than one poetic image. This personification has emanated from the passion and psyche of the poet. Thus , one of the results is that , Al - Ramal stanza was dominating and it was more popular in Al - Muashah than its use in Arabic poetry in general Iraqi poets of Al - Muashah made use of collocation of some rhyme types and added an aesthetic feature which enable them to achieve deviation in poetic rhyme and this gave it creativity. As far , internal music of Al - Muashah was full of explicitness , repetition and alliteration. I have found that the image sources of Iraqi Muashah did not depart from the earlier sources of Andulsim. Nature dominated the image which has a great verity. This made it easier to understand and carrying more aesthetic and artistic hints indicate to their culture. I also found that their aims were not different from poetic aims such as praise , love and prond. They achieved their intention in shortest and deepest ways. It was void of strang vocabulary , this has mad their rhymes so much related to reality and close to the readers. It has the ability to touch our feelings. The introductions of most Remas were traditional in their start with love and flirt besides using famous characters. All these these features made Al - Muashah poems liable to interpretation which raised the aesthetic value of Al - Muashah. Abstract: The Title of this thesis has been based on two important technical terms taken from text linguistics : (acceptability) and (coherence), in order to coin a new term, i.e. the acceptability of coherence. The aim of doing so is to investigate the critical conceptions and applications written by ancient Arab critics which might be congruent with the intended significance of this new critical term. This is especially true according to the fact that the significance of the acceptability of coherence has gained important attention by the ancient Arab critics as this research has shown. The Arabic literary and critical movements had depended on what could be called (acceptability) in accepting the literary products or in putting them in hierarchical ranks since the acceptability was declared by (very well qualified persons) according to the most important criterion of the seven textual criteria of the text linguistics, i.e. coherence. Yet, the researcher will try to extend the concept of the coherence and make it more congruent with the topic of this study. The non scholarly treatment has been very helpful in this respect; moreover, making use of this concept has enabled in shedding light on the topic of this research.The topic has been based on a plan of three chapters preceded by an introduction and followed by a conclusion which included the most important and salient results. Then, a full bibliography of reference and consulted books has been supplied.The first chapter, entitled (The Acceptability of Coherence in the External Rhythmic Dimension) which is divided into two subsections : the first, (The Acceptability of Coherence in the Prosodic Dimension); and the second (The Acceptability of Coherence in the rhyming Dimension). The second section deals with (The Acceptability of Coherence in the Internal Rhythmic Dimension). The second chapter is devoted to discuss (The Acceptability of Coherence in the Syntactic Dimension). It includes two sections : the first studies (The Acceptability of Coherence in the Syntagmatic Axis), and the second investigates (The Acceptability of Coherence in the Poetic Necessity). The third chapter, which is entitled (The Acceptability of Coherence in the Semantic Dimension), also includes two sections : (The Acceptability of Coherence in the Semantic Correlation) and (The Acceptability of Coherence in the Reproduction Dimension). All these chapters have been dealt with two critical points of view : the theoretical critical conceptualization and the application efforts concerning central the concept of the acceptability of coherence.Investigating the data of the ancient Arabic criticism has shown that the referential concept of almost all critical judgments is coherence. As a result, it is noticed that whenever this criterion is available, the acceptability will be achieved. Since coherence focuses on the semantic aspect of the ideas and thoughts found in the text, then the process of judging the consistency in the syntactic aspect will be, according to the theoretical point of view adopted in this research, either through the coherence of the semantic concordance of all the elements of a given text, or through several texts. The same is true in case of information and whether it is based on the semantic factors or on the contextual factors. This point can be achieved according to whether it tries to join the situation & the intended significance and the intentionality as the relational link between intention and the given semantic significance in the text. Accordingly, intertextuality, i.e. the inevitable relationships between literary texts, is just the semantic linkage of the syntactic components of several diverse texts on one hand and the components of the new text on the other hand. This means that coherence is linking thread between these elements which necessitates that acceptability of the coherence can be achieved whether this coherence is semantic, consistent, informative, contextual, intentional, or contextual. Using the techniques and terminology of the text linguistics in studying the Arabic critical texts covering the period of pre - Islamic decades till the end of the fifth century of Hegira has shown that every critical behaviour or speech can be rendered to only one specific foundation the acceptability. This term be very useful in pinpointing the main characteristics of the Arabic unified critical conceptualization of literature and poetry. Subsequently, this type of conceptualization can present a comprehensive account of its issues, solve its problems, and reveal its diverse attitudes. It also shows that modern criticism is able to get deep insights in the ancient Arabic criticism and make use of its vivid and active features. It also reveals the type of coherence, its examples, and throws light on the area of acceptability and its activeness in the ancient Arabic criticism.

These novels contents come as historical texts. it seems that political text of history has the widest existence , which tackled with contents of war , political power, revolution , and novels also full of social cases of importance, like historical cases of countryside , poloticovl cases of society and historical cases of civil society , and general cases about society , and social changes. - We concluded that Alrikabi depend on ways and techniques to prepare historical text and indicated that it has two properties inside it : the first about point or bases of preparing history text. Abstract: The concept of imagination is part of the Arabic poem. Poets of the pre. Islamic times (Jahilite) and subsequent eras had been keen on this topic, as this is closely related to the human identity or self. It also reveals personal experience poets had and describes their feeling and sentimental value. With varying degrees which reflect their feelings and sufferings. For the poet, imagination is an unexpected visit , delight , and a gift.The important of this topic lies in the fact that it helps the poet to strongly express his own sentiments and sufferings. It is an outlet for his feelings. Imagination has its own signification which is not confined to woman’s imagination but extends to other scopes that enable the poet to achieve psychological balance following a state of anxiety and confusion he has experienced.This study has revealed on important theory in the Arabic literature insofar as the phenomenon of imagination is concerned, that is Al - Shareef Al - Murtadhaa’s theory which involves a relationship between the soul and the body and which shows the strong connection between this on the one hand and imagination and dream on the other hand. The point is that it is the soul that sees what it sees in dreams and that this comes in poetry in the form of metaphor.It is in imagination that poets could describe their suffering from the long time they live in, that is ‘night’ Night is a symbol of severe suffering because of its darkness and gloom. The poet finds himself alone fighting hopelessness and anxiety; he lives in a state of psychological forlornness , longing for past memories engraved on their minds and hearts.This study has shown that there are in Arabic literature celebrated figures of their respective eras, but unfortunately totally forgotten in the present era. It is hoped that the present study may pave the way for future researches to show some of these poet’s outstanding contributions to Arabic literature, especially to the concept of imagination. These poets superbly wrote eulogies, elegies, love poems , etc.The study has adopted an analytical approach in dealing with the poems analysed to show what implicitly and explicity these poems involve.This thesis includes an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, and bibliography. The introduction defines the concept of imagination in language and poetry. It also offers a psychological treatment of imagination from the point of view of psychologists.Chapter one is devoted to studying the motives for imagination on the part of a number of poets of the Abbaside Era, to show imagination means to any one of these poets.The second chapter has dealt with the relationship between imagination and the various purposes of poetry, such as eulogizing, elegizing, flirting, etc. Imagination is closely related to the poet’s psychology.Chapter three offers an artistic treatment of the poetry of imagination via studying poetic image based on figures of speech like simile, metaphor, metoying, and musical rhythm which includes outer music which, in turn, involves rhyme, metre, feet, etc. Furthermore musical rhythm encompasses assonance, pun, paronomasia, repetition, etc. The chapter also summarizes the conclusions arrived at
