Abstract: The concept of poetry is considered the centre point around which all issues of the old criticism move. most of literary views and critical theories are connected to this concept. This is why our research is devoted to show the features of Arab poetry in critical and rhetorical heritage. The title of this paper is "The concept of poetry in The Old Literary heritage". We do that to know the essence of this aesthetic structure and creative art by which Arabs doted all over ages. This paper consists of four chapters preceded by an introduction and ended with a conclusionIn the introduction , we explained the function and importance of poetry in heritage to show its position which is above all arts because it has a great importance in Arab social , cultural and life. The first chapter is about "The factors which effect the crystallization of poetry concept". These factors were psychological factors which move poets to say poetry and the comfort which poetry makes. There are also environmental factors (social , natural, political and cultural). We also show religious factors and moral ideals and their effect on poet's verse. The second chapter is about the study of poetry concept and its rhetoric. It also shows development and changes that took place. It also focuses on the poet's concept of poetry since pre - Islam age until the Abbasid age. The third chapter is about critics' concept of poetry through the issues of old criticism such as articulation , meaning , meter , rhyme scheme , and plagiarism. We also explained their critical views and things they agree or disagree with. The fourth chapter is about the study of poetic image because it is means which gives beauty, vitality and motion to poetr. The poetic image has an effect on the receiver. It also has relation with imagination and rhetoric styles through which different patterns of image are generated. The conclusion has the results made by a tour among criticism books.

Abstract: Modern studies of rhetorics are interested in persuasion as one of the objectives in realistic prosodic discourse that involves displaying personal thoughts and ideas by employing certain technique to contribute to persuading the addressee of the discourse directed to him.Aristotle was the first who talked about persuasion and described in details the techniques and stages in prosodic discourse in his book ‘Oratory ’. Thus, the researcher preferred this book to be the main source and guide in our study of the techniques of persuasion in essays of Ghazi Abd Al - Rahman Al - Qusaibi, which were gathered from newspaper a journals and edited in a book.A question might be raised about the validity of studying such essays that belong to an independent genre with its own characteristics and aims. The answer is that the two genres ( essay and oratory) are similar in type. Both of them are realistic prosodic discourses and thus can be built by the same tools of persuasion. On the other hand, Aristotle began his work in this book by classifying oratory into three types : argumentative, consultative and proving. He assigned specific characteristics for each type as we will mention in details later. The researcher found an artistic and objective similarity between consultative oratory and essay specially in the aims behind using them.Additionally, Greek oratory at that time, in addition to drama, was a well - known and common tool of communication with people to convey thoughts, ideas, suggestions, and reforms. With time, techniques of communication developed and the press emerged and thus essay becomes one of the genres that can achieve the same aim intended by oratory. Furthermore, topics and subjects of ancient and modern Arabic and western rhetorics were influenced by the Greek rhetorics and ideas of Aristotle. Those subjects and ideas were not assigned to be conveyed in a certain specific genre. Rather, they were conveyed both as prose or poetry and not in a specific genre. All the reasons mentioned above led us to study rhetorics of persuasion and the techniques it utilizes in essay writing in light of the techniques that were set as bases for oratory.Our main source in this study is Aristotle’s ‘Oratory’, translated from Greek and introduced by Dr. Abd Al - Rahman Badawi and published by the House of Public Cultural Affairs in the Journal of Afaq Arabbia, Baghdad, **edition.The researcher adhered to Aristotlian principles in persuasion. Accordingly, the study is divided into an introduction and three chapters. The introduction highlights three points. The first point is abaut rhelorics in language and terminology and its status and development for the Greeks and its relation to persuation. The secand is persuasion in language and terminology, persuasion in verbal communication, introducing the idea of persuasion by Aristotle and stages and participants of persuasion. The third point tackles the essay and its types.Chapter one ‘ Source of the Proofs’ starts with preliminaries in which we show what it is meant by the source of the proofs and Aristotle’s opinion of them. The chapter includes three sections; a section for each source. The first section is about the speaker ( the orator) and his impact on persuasion and his scientificity and ethics that help him achieve persuasion. Section two sheds light on the speech of the orator and what participants and proofs it should contain to contribute to achieving persuasion. Section three talks about the listener (the addressee) and what should be the effect on him so as to persuade him of what is said.Chapter two ‘ The Style’ starts with a long section of preliminaries because of the much details about Aristotle’s style. The chapter includes three sections. Section one is about the linguistic style that contribute to achieving persuasion whereas section two is about the rhetorical styles as represented in the rhetorical images. Section three tackles the other styles including those mentioned by Aristotle i.e. narration, saracism and rhyme as techniques that support towards persuasion.In the preliminaries of chapter three ‘Sequence of the Discours’, the researcher talks about the parts of speech of Aristotle and the method that should be followed to classify them. In section one of the chapter, the researcher discusses the introduction and its types in essays of Ghazi Al - Qusaibi : section two discusses the intext and section three is about the conclusions.The Study arrived at some conclusions concerning the most important techniques that Ghazi Al - Qusaibi used to persuade his readers about the thoughts, ideas that he wrote to them and that might developed the society culturally, politically, and economically. Definitely, the researcher faced some difficulties; the most complicated of them is that the text of the book of oratory itself is translated and not the origin. The style is sophisticated and some of the expressions are ambigious; its terms are different from those known in books of Arabic rhetorics and in modern rhetorical studies. This difference can be obviously seen in the illustrative examples put by Aristotle for every term. The expressions were very abbreviated and shortened especially those when Aristotle talked about ethics of the speaker and how they could be reflected in his speech. Consequently, the researcher depended on books of modern linguistic and rhetorical studies that are concerned with rhetorics of discourse and pragmatics in language

Abstract: Definitely the persuasion is a theory which has been taken deep roots in the western tradition, as Aristotle had written his famous book (Eloquence art) unveiling in it the most distinguished means of persuasion in the persuasion theory such as the eloquent morals (ITOS), and(BATOS), the receiver emotions and (logos) the arguments and evidences. In the Arab tradition, the persuasion theory is appeared clearly and openly, in the rhetoric with Hazim al - Qurtajni as he intermixed between what is poetic (imaginable) and what eloquence (persuadable) according to the varieties in the rates between them, pursuant to the eloquence nature and its purpose. During the twentieth century some western studies has focused light upon this theory. The most important studies of are the book titled (fresh eloquence) which has been written by (Chaim Perelman) with (Olbricht Tetka) as Chaim has given life to the persuasion theory in eloquence in his book, bringing a persuasive function to the rhetoric, plus the aesthetic function.Under the light of what has been mentioned of the summary clarification on the persuasion theory, our study to the book (Minat al - Minan) has been given within the framework of this theory, due to the presenting of the persuasion theory clearly in the book purpose. Therefore, this study has been written in three chapters preceded with introduction and followed by an ending. in the introduction the persuasion concept I have researched the language and the term and the persuasion activity components in its practical dimension and the persuasion rooting in the western and Arab traditions.This study has three chapters; in the first chapter I have researched about the persuasive nature in Minat al - Minan book. In the first research I have studied the initial dimension for the persuasion through its features which have been formed of such as (title suggestive, introduction revelation, withdrawal method). Therefore, its features have been shaped as defined as persuaded means driven for attracting the receiver and push him argumentatively for entering inside the text subject. In the first research, also, I have studied the conversational dimension as defined ad persuasive way, presented the persuasive mode which has been committed by Sayyid al - Sader (God may sanctify his soul) and continued in his book. In the second research I have studied the persuasive method (passages of the persuasion operation) which has been clarified how the persuasion operation may become in the Minat al - Minan book)In the second chapter, I have studied the persuasion communicated means, in the first research I have been researched the continuation in the persuasive eloquence, focusing under its light the speech variety method and the speech conversation and the speech arrangement and the psychology impact in the speech as defined as the most distinguished persuasive means of al - Sader. In the second research I have research the persuasive communication with the receiver. As these levels which are personified with the receiver by the direct model and upon the receiver of the undirected model and the special (assuming) receiver and the (mind) imaginable receiver. In the third chapter, I have studied, the most important language and mind means for the persuasion. Abstract: This study deals with narration and the elements of narration in Mahmood AL - Dhahir's stories. This work falls into a preliminary, three chapters and a conclusion following the analytical procedure. Chapter one, which is entitled "Narration and the Structure of Events in Al Dhahir's Stories", starts with a theoretical introduction explaining the importance of narration and events in the story and the between them. It consists of two sections. Section one is about narration divided into patterns such as objective, subjective and interrelated. The second one is devoted to ways narration such as description and dialogue. Section three is mainly about the patterns of structuring the events such as sequences, overlapping, cycling, composing, reiteration,, and paralleling. Chapter two is entitled "Characters in Al Dhahir's Stories". It starts with an introduction showing the importance of the characters. It includes two sections. Abstract: This study entitled “Curricular Interference in Poetic Text Analysis Modalities - Semiotics as a model” examines one of the most controversial and problematic contemporary criticism curricula amongst modern criticism studies. Semiotics at its theoretical form is an old existing science which was emerged from the womb of knowledge theory; hence it contributed to philosophy, logic, mathematics, human and social sciences. Its critical importance lies by the fact that it stands at the border between human and social sciences; as well as its integration of the direction that accredited linguistic aspect (linguistics) and the direction of philosophical aspect that accredited the new phenomenology. The value of this critical study rises as it monitors the shifts of knowledge and intellect arguments of this approach, their transfer into the field of applied methodology, the way Arabic critical studies dealt with such shifts, the nature of receiving such mechanisms by Arab critics, and the methods of applying and representing them in Arabic poetic texts. This thesis is composed of an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. The first chapter - made of two sections - deals with the intellectual and philosophical fundamentals of semiotics, and examines their origins and approaches as presented by semiotics pioneers; American Philosopher Charles Sanders Peirce and Swiss Linguist Ferdinand de Saussure. In the first section of the chapter, we focus on the image of semiotics in ancient Greek philosophy, as well as different other philosophies followed. In addition, we examine deeply the way Arab and western critics had dealt with the nature of that image. In the second section of the first chapter, we review in details the hypotheses of Peirce’s and Saussure’s theories analyzing their philosophical and intellectual arguments; as well as explaining relevant attitudes of Arab and western critics.The first section of the second chapter examines semiotics in terms of its developed theoretical boundaries and its applied methodological image. Also, we detail the period that followed the foundation stage, and account for modern semiotics approaches that we present by the approaches of semantics, communication and culture. Then we scope the light on literature semiotics as being the theoretical and applied image of general semiotics. In the second section of this chapter, we review the mechanisms of applied semiotics, the ways of Arab and western critics’ interaction with that mechanisms, how they were put into application, and the reasons that lead to curricular interference amongst applied models. As for the third chapter, it deals with Arabic applied models as we examine the phenomenon of curricular interference within those models following the criticism - of - criticism mechanism. In conclusion, the study was culminated with a series of findings reached through our research

Abstract: Said Jaafar Al - Hilly is considered as one of the alawis Iraqi poets whose poetry is characterized by its richness at the artistic and semantic levels. His poems also shed light on the political and social reality with a dominant alawian sense. Thus, it is essential to investigate about these aspects with close inspection. This poet was not paid any considerable attention concerning his verse only in scattered articles and papers. Even in modern literary works, there are little references to his art, further, these references do not contribute in showing his artistic and aesthetic writings in verse that may put him in competition with other great poets of his time. This study mainly focuses on the rhetorical perspectives in his poems in an attempt to show the deep meaning of his lexical and syntactic choices in addition to his manipulation of cadence and poetic structure as well as imagery. The current study consists of a preliminary, three chapters and a conclusion. In the preliminary, rhetorical branches are introduced and explained and how these branches are shown to have a role in exposing the poet's artistic writings. This chapter also includes the poet's biography and the themes that he addressed in his verse. Chapter one is attributed to inspecting the cadence level in his poetry. It comprises three sections. Section one is concerned with alliteration. Section two is devoted to explaining repetition and its types and effects in relation to cadence. Section three comes under the title " Other Rhetorical Aspects" that contribute to make rhythmical patterns prominent. Chapter two is essentially devoted to the structural level of his poetry. It comprises three sections. The first one, which is entitled "Recantation in Structure", deals with things such as foregrounding and back - grounding, ellipsis. Section two is entitled "Recantation in the reporting style", whereas, the third section is concerned with the recantation of requesting style such as questions and command. Chapter three deals with the descriptive level of his poetry and it is compose of two sections. The first one is concerned with the study of images according to their artistic frame. Section two pays attention to the size of these images in that it focused on the single and simple images as well as the compound and the total images. This classification comes as a result of what is found in his poems in an endeavor to simplify their study. Abstract: Al - Atheer (637 A.H.) The study reached many results which can be summarized as follows : Important critical issues attained great attention of bin Jinni, he was not confined to the theoretical aspect only, rather he dealt with the applied analytic aspect. In roost of these issues, his viewpoints were artistic.No less degree of interest was linguistic criticism also, he was not confined to the theoretical aspect, but dealt with the applied aspect, especially his opinions in linguistic criticism of word and structure. As for his rhetorical criticism, it is pretty good, though it is ambiguous in many places and had to be justified. In some other places, it was artistic, in which he depended on the Arab uses of eloquent art and rhetorical style as a critical criterion through which quality of poetry can be measured.The fourth chapter concluded that bin Jinni was one of the critics who are known of various critical methods. He was not confined to one specific method, and this refers to his ability and wide breadth in criticism. While the fifth chapter revealed that he is one of the critics who left great effect on the Arabic criticism, especially on the most outstanding critical movement in the history of the Arabic criticism, of which those aroused against Al - Mutanabbi. This is revealed through his explanation of his poetry, and his affection by three great figures of Arabic criticism who took from his researches, affected by his opinions, and make use of him in their critical discourse Ibn Jinni is one of the scholars who are known of wide knowledge in the Arabic language and its different sciences such as grammar, morphology, phonetics, dialects..... so on.In addition, he was writer, explainer and critic of poetry, especially that of al - Mutanabbi who has close relation with him. He explained his divan twice : the first, which is the greatest, is called "al - Fasr", and the second, the smallest, is "al - Fat'h al - Wahabi". Besides, he has many opinions and critical pauses distributed in his other works, especially "alKhasa'es". On this basis, came the research idea to shed light on an important aspect of bin Jinni i.e., his being one of the fourteenth century critics.Research plan required to be divided into five chapters preceded by a preface, and conclusion. As for the preface, it was about the nature of criticism during his age. The first chapter was devoted to talk about critical issues according bin Jinni, such as literary thefts, form and meaning, old and modem, poetry, religion, and morals. Abstract: فان الايقاع يعد عنصرا مهما من عناصر الخلق الشعري، ذلك انه يثري النص صوتيا ودلاليا ويمنحه الترابط والانسجام والجمال والانتظام، ولا يقتصر مفهوم الايقاع الواسع سعة تطورات القصيدة العربية، والمتحول تحولات الذات الشاعرة على عنصري الوزن والقافية فحسب، بل م | The ancient and modern Arabic poetry represents an important of the literary arts which relation and belonging with the rhythm in its general concept - internal or external - , there is doubt that rhythm give the poetic text aesthetically and orderliness work on the effect in the reader, as well as it is regard as expressing about poet psychology in the same time.The pre - Islamic and Islam period poetry seems have a rich rhythm texts in the rhythm levels were the most important reasons to make us tend to the rhythm study in poet women's poetry in that two ages. Then we worked on analyzing the rhythm texts in their texts and examining what contain of the senses, we can touch them by texts contexts, and after saw their poetry in the ancient books (resources) I tried to select the texts which agree with the rhythm study, if there is no any text lacking from rhythm in any form.That the rhythm study in three important matters, I tried to follow them in my study that are : reading, statistic, and description, and we must followed an academy method to make the study in arrangement and classified method, so our study as following : The first chapter, including the external rhythm in the poems and the pieces, then we tried in this chapter to citing in texts which poetize on the most common meters in the women poets production. However, the poems were their relation less from the pieces, we cited in less number of the pieces, as we dealt with the relationship of the pieces with the meters according to the modernists' opinion, as we dealing with the rhyme which have absolute and limit pun and effect of each one in the rhythm and sense.But the second chapter, we dealing in it the internal rhythms which are most common, the repetition technology in its all kinds (the beginning repetition, first hemistich repetition, abbreviation repetition, complying repetition, first hemistich repetition), as we dealt the parallel technology which based on the twofold of sense similarity and paradox, in addition to the structural and conjugate parallel and its effect in rhythm and sense, as we dealt with rhetoric parallel which based on the technologies of the inlaying and the harmony.Finally, we dealt in this chapter with the reciting and dialogue rhythm and their effect on the rhythm and sense in general.Our study had benefit from many previous rhythm and style studies was first ( the modern Arabic poem between the rhythm structure and sense structure) for Dr. Mohammed Saber Obied , and the (poetical language) for Mohammed Kanoni and (style characteristics in Omar Bahaa Al - Din Al - Amiri' poetry) for Abdullah Abdul Khaliq Al - Ghanim.Finally, I don’t have any thing except the pray and thank word for my virtuous teacher Dr. Thunnon Al - Atraqchi and for all teachers in the Arabic language department, calling for Allah that I will never forget their favor, and what was right that from Allah, and what was wrong that from myself.

Abstract: We have chosen the title " Al - Ekhwania epistles in First Abbasid Period / Technical study " after presenting the subject matter to the headship of Arab language Dept. and the committee of high studies. We have aimed at selecting most of Al - Ekhwania epistles (the informal ) which had been exchanged by Al - Ekhwan (the brothers ) and other writers , ministers , and caliphs - sometimes - for personal reasons unrelated to formal matters. We have limited the period from 132 A.H. to 335A.H. the year in which Baghdad , the Abbasid capital , being occupied by Bani Bowaih. The cause of choosing this subject has been the availability of prosaic and poetic texts which were written in the period covered by the study , and revealed the significance of studying and taking care of them for they are considered another aspect of Arabic eloquence in its fruitful period (i.e. the Abbasid period ). We have observed that Al - Ekhwania epistles in this period , which we chose it , deserved to be studied from different aspects.In addition , they should be paid more attention and research by the researchers in the technical Arab prose in Abbasid period - the age of Arabic eloquence and culture.So I have chosen this subject after consulting the supervisor (the assist. Prof. Dr. Sahira M. It is a very important subject, because it sheds light on an essential part of the styles of the Holy Qu’ran.The study comprises an introduction, two chapters, and a conclusion. The introduction is a theatrical one, for it discusses the rise of the term and the proble of its overlapping with other terms. Abstract: This thesis is a study of an unknown poet who lived in the late era. The Poet concerned is Mohammed bin Ali bin Abdullah bin Al - Hussein bin Al - Qasim, who was called as Al - Harathi - Wasiti,Ibn Al - Mu’alim (Teacher) and referred to as Najim Al - Deen with the family name "Abu Al - Ghana’im”. The study tries to uncover the aspects of seriousness and innovation in his poetry in one hand, and to set the part to serve the whole so as to use the poet as a witness of his time. Thus the group of creative poets, among whom Ibn Al - Mu'alim lived, constitutes a strong evidence of the value and the level of literature at that time. This study tries to present a full vivid picture of the Artistic style of the poetry of Ibn Al - Mu’alim; a question which was very rarely tackled in details by the researchers before. There were only some hints and some quick remarks that were not adequate to provide a sufficient picture of the position and role of this poet at his time.The study starts with an introduction followed by two books. Book one deal with the political, social, religious, cultural, and literary aspects of his time. Book two is devoted to a biography of the poet concerning his name, family name, and year of birth, career and opinion of the critics of his time and the modern ones of his poetry, education and his death.Then, the study contains two parts consisting of nine chapters. Abstract: Muhammed Mehdi Al - Jawahiry, agreat Iraqi poet, was born in Najaf in 1899. He studied rhetoric while he was very young and begun composing poetry at the age of sixteen. His first poetic anthology with the title of Halabat Al - Adab (The Circle of Literature) was published before 1927. He edited a number of newspapers and worked as an official in the palace of King Faisel I in 1927. In 1947, he was a member of the parliament for kerbala.In 1948, he taravelled to paris, and then to poland. In 1950, he travelled to Egypt and stayed as a guest of the Egyptian Government. In 1956 he travelled to Syria and returned to Baghdad in 1957. He went to kuwait as a member of the Iraqi Cultural Delegate. Al - Jawahiry migrated to prague in 1961 until 1980. Then he remained in Syria until he died in 1997 and was buried in Damascus. This Al - Jawahiry becamse of a number of factors environmental, psychological, idiological, social and economical. All these factors participated in constructing the personality of Al - Jawahiry. He was very courageous in declaring his points of view in which challenged the dectators using his poetic talent ln his poetry, he defended his people who were suffering from hunger and death because of their bad rulers. This thesis also shows the poet's rebellion against the backward social treatment of women. He called for the freedom of women and their equality with men. The thesis studies Al - Jawahiry's artistic rebellion in which he called for poetic modernism both in form and content. Al - Jawhiry left the unity of the line of verse to the poetic sentence

Abstract: The concept of Sadness in Arabic Poetry the Islamic Age”This thesis attempts to study the concept of sadness through its causes that excited the Islamic Poet to express this feeling by all its aspects which appeared in his poetry. The Introduction discusses the lexical definition of the term, Sadness, Sadness in the Per - Islamic Age, its causes and its appearances. Chapter one treats the causes of Sadness and it cantions four sections one, “Death” ; section two “Home - Sickness” ; Section three, “Deprivation”, and Section for, “Old Age”. In all these sections the concept of Sadness is treated from its humanistic aspects. Chapter two dectares the appearances of sadness in the poetry of the Islamic age. Sadness was represented by weeping, moaning, watering graves, waking throughout the night and the night appears to be longer. These are the most widely used appearances of sadness through which the poets expressed their feeling of sorrow. And chapter three shows the most important technical abevices which appear in the poetry of sadness. The chapter consist of three sections. The first, “Language”, deals with the poetic lexicon. The words and abstractions from the Holy Quran ; the second, “Style”, contains : Intoragation, Addressing, Oath, repetition. Those devices were employed by the poets to express the images and meanings of sadness; And the third section which deals with the imagery through simile and metaphor which were the most important rhytorical devices that expressed the meaning and appearance of sadness in the Islamic poetry.

Abstract: Elegizing (Rithaa) is generally considered one of the loftier poetic purposes. It is the supreme and superior one. Elegizing of Cities is the more - exalted kind of Elegizing. The poet lets his country and home cry because he loves them and feels unhappy and pain when he loses them. He, by that, does not wait to be rewarded from someone sooner or later. This type of poetry is characterized by sincere emotion and deep feeling of sorrow and sadness.Standing on debris in the ancient Arabic poetry, by which the line of poetry be started, is a great evidence that art of elegizing is closed to the Arabic man's deepness and feelings. This standing was not upon the first origins of cities elegizing art, which was prosperous in the Orient at the Abbassid era by reason of unsettled political situations for some time and of foreign invasion at other times. Poets lamented their cities when they were destroyed because of interior and political troubles and affected by the natural disasters and calamities such as earthquakes and floods as well as occupied by their enemies, crusaders and moguls. Baghdad elegies (197 A.H.) were the oldest cities ones. They were the truest as to sorrow. They preceded well - known Andalus cities. This study showed that the Orient people preceded Andalusians in cities with regard to cities Elegizing.When he was elegizing his city, Abbasid poet was affected by the ancient poetry from which he derived many expressions and forms. Abstract: Due to the poetic tendency formed by modern currents towards new poetic horizons that lead to appearing individual creations; poetic prints started the spoiled Iraqi poetic scene limiting its identity as a new style in the achieved text image. Arif Al Saidi was one of the famous experiments that took part in supplying the literary climate in general and the poetic one in specific for what was achieved by this poet of texts with modern and contemporary spirit. Out of this complexity, it is necessary for the poetic language to witness a case of transforming responding for the stimuli of the modern expansion and emergence for it is described as the incubator of more comprehensive for whatever the underlying poetic textual structures imply. This formed a motif which drew me to engage in poetic language. It is one of the Iraqi poetic experiment with its uniqueness of form and content. This is what recognizes it or makes it very close to the nation's experiment. Nature of the study demanded the thesis to contain four chapters preceded by a preface and followed by conclusion included the most important results. The preface has two sections. The first included the poetic language concept and its turn in the poem constructing. The second tackled Arif Al Saidi's experiment and his poetic achievement. That's why it was entitled Arif Al Saidi : the experiment and affiliation. Concerning first chapter which is entitled poetic rhythmical constructing, the researcher talked about rhythm in his poetic texts. Second chapter which is entitled constructing poetic vocabulary, the researcher dealt with studying the poetic vocabulary that is described as basic foundations that the poet built his linguistic building. Third chapter which is entitled structure of poetic construction, the researcher showed the prominent expressive harmonies that participated in the poetic language construction. Fourth chapter that came under the title constructing the poetic image. Here, the most important image devices were mentioned that the poet resorts to incarnate creative experiment. The current study followed the analytical descriptive approach which depends on interrogating the poetic texts and exploration the prominent stylistic phenomena and their analysis to reach the poet's interests and his artistic ability. In brief the real value of Arif Al Saidi's poetry lies in their deviation of the familiar linguistic, ready - made, and repeated forms especially that the Iraqi poet's sensation in particular and of Arif Al Saidi's in specific belonging to a new limited poetic generation or to a particular group ( for example stanza poetry). It was a pushing power towards more privacy and to be distant isolated of rumination, repetition, and fluctuation in the first position of the particular poetic experiment. It tackles speech act and relative texts in the speeches of beginning of Islam and the Umayyad era and the effect of these relative texts in the argument of this speech act. The relative texts that are evaluated by orations extend to a stored culture in the collective memory which are inflected in departures and changes that are covered always with a modern garnet. This linguistic event is revived through precipitated procedures in the new oration. The text here is a web of linguistic, constructional, and ideological data, all cooperate to form speech acts. After completion, it practiced a great influence so as to produce other texts, so, the text depends on renewal according to its readability and on quantity according to its supplying privacy.The incoming text comes loaded with argumental references charges with pragmatic productive features to penetrate with the current text and melt in its essence, so the incoming text appears in various levels : the explicit and the implicit. This pragmatic fertilization results in new text with a directed argumental dimension. The pragmatic interaction which is established between the incoming text and the current text cannot be of a single path instead it goes towards the giving and taking reference; it grants the incoming a new reference as it grants an argument power to the current text with all its pragmatic referential roots within its environment. So, the coming text may grants old text new interpretation or show them with a new garment that was hidden before. They could not be seen before so long as the style process, that achieves great deeds that practice argumental power which guide the path of speech act.The research results in several argumental style that the orator adopted in the beginning of Islam and the Umayyad era. These speeches were coloured with different stylistic feature that carried the tendencies orientations and how to form the speech and presenting it to the listener as well as their dependence on the textual loadings that differentiate in their argumental guidance.The research plan included an introductory chapter, followed by three chapters, and conclusion included the most important results of this research in which all this term interpretations and details were discussed in addition to its influence on speeches of the beginning of Islam and the Umayyad era.

Abstract: Most of the Abbaside era Maqamat were based on a bitter irony out of a painful and a tragic reality that is full of contradictions and change of standards and values. Axiomatically they had a lot of instances of irony for it is the most suitable among artistic styles. It was , there fore , adopted by Maqamat writers as the artistic styles through which they expressed their suffering and boredom ; it had been a reflection of the time they lived. For them , irony was a defensive means for facing the cruelty , deprivation and misery in their lives ; a purification means , so to say , that would eliminate the deposits of dreadful ideas and would relieve the strains of poverty and need deep inside them. The irony of the Abbaside Era Maqamat is of three main types : 1. Verbal irony : it includes anti expectation , pedantry equivocation , pun , simile and quotation. 2. Irony of situation : it includes the self uncovering , dramatically and event irony. 3. Narrative irony : it includes spatial and temporal , the narrator - hero and the secondary characters irony. These three main types make up the three chapter of the this study , with each chapter being devoted to one type preceded by an introduction that illuminates the lexical and terminological meanings of "Maqama" and "Irony" and also the nature , importance , motives and aims of each one of them. All that followed by a conclusion that sums up the findings arrived at and most important of which are the following : 1. Maqama is a dramatized story that combines the techniques of both fiction and drama. It both narrates and displays ideas. It is based on a dramatic scene with action and dialogue , a matter which tints it with vitality and excitement that it has been an impressive type of art up to the present time. 2. Linguistic irony is produced by one signifier leading to two or more signified ideas. It , then , enables us to practice a multi - reading criticism because it deepens the text , extends its interpretative limits and widens its horizons. 3. The irony of situation embodied the suffering of the Maqamat writers that their Maqamat seemed to be a reverberation of what they lived and co - lived and what they thought and felt. The irony was their outlet to steam off and express their attitudes towards their surroundings. 4. Time and place in the Abbaside Era Maqamat where open. The characters moved about in absolute time and place. That is to generalize the purpose - idea and indicate that it is likely to happen at any time and place and to implicitly indicate the bad conditions and corruption. 5. The narrator in Abbaside Maqamat is an observer who seldom takes part in the events unlike the hero who undertakes the creation and activation of events and through whom the writer pictures what he wants to deliver. Most likely , the narrator represents the writer , whereas the hero represents the socially , politically and ideologically oppressed class

The study tries to discover the word aesthetics and its manifestation hints in the construction by selecting a traditional text and still keeping with a lot of aesthetic and virtual elements. The study tries, in addition to its induction and observation for aesthetic elements in the text, to understand the aesthetic philosophy in content from the function and goal sides, whether it is psychological, social, and so on. Nature of the subject demanded that the study is divided into an introduction, preface, three chapters, conclusion, and a list of references. Concerning the preface, it was entitled ' an introduction to aestheticism with a definition of correspondence'. It was divided into two branches. The first was entitled ' an introduction to aestheticism : roots and concepts'. It tackles some topics such as emergence and definition of the concept in the Old Greek and Arab studies. Then, it stated the concept - aestheticism - in the modern studies. The second part of the preface had an idea about the author of Imams' correspondence book, and definition of Imams' correspondence with clarifying their importance. First chapter which was entitled ' aestheticism of the musical level' was divided into three sections. The first which was entitled 'aestheticism of repetition' dealt with the extent of musical activity that can be achieved by repetition in the correspondence with taking into account of non - separation between this function and other functions of repetition. The second section which was entitled ' aesthetics of rhyme' came to uncover discovering functions of this musical style in the correspondence. The most prominent of these are rhythm and caring of listener's psychological aspect; whereas, the third section was devoted to ' aesthetics of alliteration' that had its influence on the text in the form and content levels. Second chapter was entitled 'aesthetics of structural level'. It has two sections. The first is composition styles. It included interrogative, imperative, and vocative; as well as efficiency of each style and its influence in achieving aestheticism in the text, in addition to efficiency to implement other functions. The second section dealt with the conditional style with clarifying its means and use of every one concerning structure and text coherence. Third chapter was about ' aesthetics of semantic level'. It has three sections. The first is concerned with aesthetics of simile. The study showed other functions that simile implied such as psychological or social functions : the second section tackled aesthetics of metaphor. Abstract: Ibin Hemmad Al Adewi is one of the great figures of the fourth Hegira century and one of Basrah scientists. He is considered one of poetry publisher. His verse is loyal to the family of the prophet (p.b.u.t.). the current thesis dealt with his verse under the title (Ibin Hemmad Al Adewi's Verse : A Study in the Subject and Art).The thesis consisted of six chapters preceded by introduction and preface, and followed by conclusion. Concerning the preface, it consisted of two parts. The first tackled a general idea about the situation in Iraq during the fourth hegira century while the second part dealt with aspects of the poet's life and culture. The objective study was divided into two sections. The first comprised eulogy and what relates to the family of the prophet's (p.b.u.t.) laudation and elegiac which includes lamentation of the family of the prophet's (p.b.u.t.).The second chapter was devoted to other poetic purposes, that is pride, satire, complaint, and wisdom. The artistic study was distributed as follows and according to the chapters series in the study. So, third chapter concerned with the artistic construction, that is, constructing the traditional dialogue poem ( poems with introduction) and the ideological which concerns his ideological tendencies towards the family of the prophet's (p.b.u.t.). other introductions comprise complaint, wisdom, and a single erotic introduction of an elegiac poem. The poet expresses his sufferings, pains, feelings, and emotions by these introductions as well as his abilities to attract the listener's attention and to prepare him to receive the main topic, in addition to the conclusion, thus, conclusions were in harmony with the subject nature. Fourth chapter came to discuss poetic language; it was of two sections. The first comprises vocabularies. They are vocabularies of doctrine, proper nouns, sadness, time, place, war, and peace.Constructing was taught in the second section such as interrogative with all its categories, imperative, vocative, negation, and emphasis that refer to attractive meanings in his poetic text. These increase rhythm with fascinating music. Fifth chapter was about the artistic image. It has two sections. The first comprises means of image formation particularly the rhetoric image ( simile with all its types, metaphor with its two types : implicit and explicit, metonymy with all its types : attributed, described, and relative). These images add shining colors of the beautiful music that evoke inspiration and urge the listener to listen and enjoy the poet's verse. Second section had two subsections. The first was the sensory image ( optical, acoustic, tactile, and gustatory, whereas the researcher could not find the olfactory image in the divan). The second comprises the single and compound image.Six chapter discussed rhythm.it was divided into two sections. The first was the external rhythm that contains meters, measures : perfect, long, simple, abundant, absolute, restricted, and rhyme faults. The second section, internal rhythm included repetition, inlaying, rotating, turning second hemistich to the first hemistich, and alliteration that increase musical harmony.Concerning the end was about the conclusion. Abstract: Pragmatics deals with the relation between linguistic activity and its users, and successful methods of using the linguistic marks and different keys and contexts within which the discourse is made. Praise poetry in general, and of Caliphs in particular isn’t based on the aesthetic conditions only, but also it takes into consideration the pragmatic and social conditions that require forms of speech manner according to tone keys in response to a general law that regulates the human communication and prescribes that the success of communication between speaker and addressee is based only on the response to the pragmatic rules, such as cooperation, politeness, courtesy … etc. Since these rules are characterized by usual communication, it is better that these rules are characterized by poetic speech which requires aesthetic form. So, how do the poets leave the dignity that they seek? The poetry that praises Caliphs requires special types of criticism, so the pragmatics is the most appropriate manner to approach this type of poetry. So, we followed the pragmatic manner in studying and analyzing the praise poetries mentioned in the Abbasid royal palace.

Abstract: I handle in my thesis : preface of culture of Arab Islamic Society and how this culture influenced on art level for poetry specially correspondence of poets because it is a source from culture sources, paradox started from this society and was a mean from means that used to make people laugh through humor which its essence was political most of time and declared among people as daily journals to get the component and call him names on sight and hear of ruling authority or by order from it, paradox reach its op and developed in Amawi age on hand of three poets (jarir, Al - Farazdiq, Al - Akhtal) and how Islam influenced in poetry of those poets and Islam influenced in poetry of those poets and how they influenced by it. In the first chapter ,handled influenced of Islam in meanings and how these meanings influenced in poetry of three Amawi poets, we study that they have colors of immaterial influenced which depend on adding properties of faith and good and Justice and mercy and wellness and belief and erasing the Injustice from complement persons of paradox poetry and most of its Islamic meanings were derived from holy Koran.In the second chapter I handled influence of Islam in terms and styles ,or terms and styles of three poets influenced by Islam, where they invested most of their terns from holy Koran ,also their ways influenced in way or another by Islam from style which reflect personality of poet where (style is a man).While third chapter handled poetical image for those three poets from their influence in poetical image by Islam and being derived from holy Koran and how reflect this image the experiences of poet where image connected with experience of poet and some specific emotional thought and related with feelings and control on poem and become apart from it and cooperate with rest parts by this complete experiences transfer and it is exactly structure of Arab poetry and from the most distinguish means which Koran depend upon it imaging meanings to apply feelings of material issues this wade it look like it is live image in movement ,poets used Koran image and refer to tern and Koran idiom and it is aesthetic mean in directing art consequence.

Abstract: The present study, “The Function of Poetry in the Arab Rhetorical Heritage of Criticism from Al - Jahiz (d.255H.) to Hazim Al - Qirtajni (d.684H.)” Falls into an introduction four chapters and a conclusion A list of references and an abstract in English are also provided. The Introduction pinpoints the concept of function as well as showing the importance of poetry in the Arab rhetorical heritage of criticim and the role of the Arab poet. Chapter One presents a study of aesthtics as a coneept and science related to poetry within the sensational and descriptive frame, as well as the cognitive and semantic frame. Chapter Two shows the poetic benefit (al - nafii al - shiiri)as a term which is not found in the Arab heritage. Abstract: The terms, being practical and epistemological keys in any area of study, have become an effective tool that helps researchers in a certain discipline to understand them and to trace their true sense. The work on terms has busied a number of scholars in various areas. They exerted great efforts in the cause of illuminating concepts, and defining senses. They compiled dictionaries and encyclopedias which encompassed these terms. One of these books is Abi Al - Baqa Ul - Kafawi's (1094 A.H.) entitled Al - Kulliyat, a dictionary of linguistic differences, which contains a great number of terms that entered different scientific fields. We opted for studying this book for its highlighting of the rhetoric terms. The present thesis comprises four chapters. Chapter One studies the rhetorical term, which had undergone no changes. Chapter Two deals with the overlapping terms. The overlapping terms are those rhetorical terms that were presented by Al - Kafawi as overlapping with such disciplines as grammar, jurisprudence, logic, etc. Chapter Three is devoted to the rhetorical terms that were presented in a rather abridged manner to which we gave the label “condensed rhetorical term”. Chapter Four is dedicated to the rhetorical terms treated by Al - Kafawi away from their rhetorical arena. They were dealt with within grammatical, logical or fundamental frames - or other frames. The findings of the present study are : 1. Al - Kafawi depended on very subtle senses to show the differences among terms.2. Al - Kafawi has deviated from rhetoricians in his coning of some terms especially the term “ tandheem”.3. The obscurity of some terms of Al - Kafawi stems from his adoption of some rhetoricians’ limitations before having matured.4. Abstract: Poetic drama has been an important subject that draws much attention since lyricism has begun to lessen and be replaced by ways of depicting the different problems that people face in their every - day life. Thus , it is necessary that the poet be aware of this change and the relation between drama and poetry. This depends on his / her view of the dimensions and levels of the text in the discourse and his / her recognition of the artistic work he / she is performing and through which the poet embodies the drama that includes conflicting events and persons who make the temporal and spatial frames of the dialogue in its multi - direction aspects. This study is about the dramatic structure in modern Iraqi female poetry of expatriation. Woman is always considered as the weakest and most narcissist creature who attempts to prove her active existence and presence in a narrow - minded society that once cam cells her identity once establishes it depending on her supremecy on man. She is more skillful especially in poetry of expatriation. While she is away from her homeland , she tries to be a part of the reality of expatriation. She expresses that through her sensitivity and warm feelings and , at the same time , is facing the tragic life and the painful reality. Even though , she is the most able to face all types of political , economic and social expatriation in the society. The researcher has noticed a substantial link between the poetic drama and expatriation and to how the Iraqi female poet expresses that in her poetry. This study consists of an introduction , three chapters and a conclusion. The introduction defines drama and expatriation and establishes the origin of the relation between drama and poetry or one side and between expatriation and loneliness on the other to define and limit those notions in their final form in light of modern studies. The researcher also highlights female poetry and how it responds to the situation especially that the Iraqi female poets live outside their country. The question is how able they are to embody the dramatic structure in their poems and to express the feelings of expatriation. Chapter one is made of three sections and discusses elements of the dramatic performance. The three sections are about the dramatic event , the dramatic characters and dialogue and conflict respectively. Chapter two , " Techniques of contemporary poems " , consists of two sections : The disguise on the level of the symbol and the disguise on the level of the myth respectively. Chapter three includes two sections : the first is about place and the second is about time. The conclusion includes the important results of the study ; among which is the overlap of drama and poetry as for as form and content are concerned. The study also reveals the nature of relation between expatriation and loneliness and their effect on those who are expatriated while they are seeking to prove their human existence against conflicts and crises. The female poet finds in her texts an outlet and escape from her expatriation and a reflection of her inside. She is firstly a woman and then she is a poet. She , as a female , has the characteristics of motherhood and homesickness. All that expressed in the dramatic structure of female poetry of expatriation.

The plan of the study involve Preface with which the researcher introduces IbnHebib Al - Helebi, Nesimu El - Seba and the stylistic feature for the literature of eighth century A.D. Three chapters of the study are specified to deal with stylistic feature within Phonetic level, which include assonance, phonetic paronomasia,repetition, parallelism, rhymes, rhythms and duality. Chapter two deals with stylisticfeatures within structural level that include negation , condition , interrogation , call,anastrophe,asyndeton , polysyndeton , brachylogyand circumlocution. Abstract: Language of the pillar of a poetic text, it is marked by different characteristics which distinguish it from the tools and means of other arts. The research surveyed the essentials of the language of poetry and extensively studied them so as to see their components as to the levels of rhythm, wording, structure and image. Accordingly, the study fell into four chapters preceded by an introduction and followed by a conclusion. The introduction was based on three topics : the first was a viewpoint in the concept of the language of poetry, which depended on the viewpoints of the critics in presenting the concept of the language of poetry and also its function as a semiotic and an emotional language together with how the language of poetry presented as a connecting point between the pre - Islamic and Islamic poetry in addition to the characteristics it had at the early Islamic period in particular. It was followed by reading of the divan of the apostasy wars setting it right through presenting the criteria followed in arranging and ordering the posts' poems in the divan. Little was said about the historical side connected with the poetry of the poets of the apostasy wars regarding the political motives as what was related to such motives was relatively far from the technical sides and they were also studied by others. Then came chapter one with the title ( The Rhythmic Level ) containing the rhythm with the sound it included set by the measure. As the sound is considered the smallest unit of speech and that the rhythm is itself is considered sound in addition to the dependence of poetry in the Islamic period on the system of reciting, therefore it has had superiority in the system of the language of poetry. Chapter on showed the measure, the rhyme and the rhyming letter; it was considered an external music keeping the internal symmetry. Chapter one showed the common characteristics among poets keeping the sound system, such as repetition, setting and rhetorical beautifiers such as alliteration and other aspects which help keep parallelism inside the text such as parallelism and necessitating what was required. The text then started to express itself through utterances and according the ( utterance level ) was set showing what the poetic text was characterized by such as clarity, strangeness, eloquence and suggestion. The lexicon was then presented with the linguistic synonyms it has had presenting the words connected with war, scholars, Islamic doctrine, time place and nature. It showed how the poets employed the vocabularies during the emotional experience the experienced. Utterances ( words ) combine to constitute the text setting the structure and accordingly, came the ( construction level ) starting with showing the most prominent expressionistic styles which contributed to making language of poets. It was of two sections starting with showing the sentence and its styles the "nominative and verbal sentence" swinging in the poetic tissue between the constant and the changeable according to the situation. The narrative ( written) sentence came next including what the poets employed such as the interrogative, the vocative, the imperative, the negation, the supplication and the swearing. This was followed by the states of the sentence with all that it had of fronting, delaying and parenthesis ( objection). Following structuring ( construction) came picturing ( figuration) in setting imagination and emotion under the title ( The Figuration Level ) containing the source of the picture ( figure) such as the psychological motives with its function in drawing the picture, the cultural motive and the environment. And then came the second section to include the most important picturing styles such as the narrative, the mysterious and the communicative which stamped the poetic text with beauty in addition to adding the feature of determination of displaying. The research tried to show the structure of the language of poetry within the poetic text in the divan of the apostasy wars by using a descriptive and analytic method. The thesis ended with a conclusion which included the most important results the researcher came out with before giving the sources and references used in the study.

At last we said : The Holly Quran is the speech for both man and Jens and for all the nations Arab or otherwise of Books followers and otherwise and despite the creativeness of this text but it left different effects inside who received it all according to his understanding and knowledge of the text beside the lusty deeds and the benefits which were the reasons for the acceptance or refusal of that Quranic text.where showing the Paradise scenes and the hell and the torture. This was because to rise the en\motions of the receiver, also the mentioning of the dialogue between the paradise dwelt and the hell people leaves its effects in the soul of the receiver and to realize that being never received at the lower life and not responding for the messenger Mohammed (peace be upon him) will face not receiving by God the only Dear at the Account day.Part two includes (the receiver out side the Quran text) : it includes the process of announcing and receiving outside the Quranic spelt, it lies intwo chapters : Chapter one : the included (assumed) receiver : this will be achieved at every receiver automatically, positively and deeply, and it can be explained for both hidden and apparent meanings. He is the assumed receiver who has the ideals features in solving the codes of the text and he is unlimited receiver who fills in his circle all of those who receive the text automatically and positively Chapter two : the real receiver : it divided into two parts : 1. The receiver at the time of descending of the Holly Quran.2. The receiver after the death of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him), that is after ending of the aspirator and accomplish of the text (this is out of our research extend). The receiver at the time of the descending of the Holly Quran coulddistributed into : 1. The Deep in Knowledge : they are the prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) and the pure Imams (peace be upon them).2. The believers.3. The Muslims.4. The maneuvers.pon him) invitation, the messengers and prophets had receiving the divine speech either by way of aspirator or without any device, or by speech from behind abstract. All the prophets had received the divine speech with acceptance and obeying because they had special nature which is recalling and reacting with the speech. What about the receiving level of the people for their prophets, all people were divided into two parts : 1. Positive receiving.2. the negative receiving.Because the Holly Quran consists of direction towards the receiver, it has to make full use of the reaction of the people towards their prophets when they invited them their messages. The positive receiving leads to saving of this class. The second class was destroyed and had tortured because their receiving was negative.Chapter two : the receiving at the time of Message : it includes the Quranic verses which referred to Qoraish receiving and otherwise of the Call to the believing and how was the reaction. We got the idea that the level of receiving in Holly Quran divided into : belief people and other disbelief and other class maneuver. The belief people were positively receive the Call this what the Quranic verses referred to. The disbelief people had received the Call negatively and we reach the reasons which led to this negativity one of which running behind the wrong inheritance and heir denied for God sending man to be messenger. Also Islam and Quran never agree with their benefits which temporal and their lusty.aspects. Finally the people who were maneuvering, this class heard and received Quran from Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) but their minds never reacted with the speech because they made the process of the receiving failed to keep their benefits of removal. Chapter Three : the receiving at future : it concentrates on what is mentioned in Quran about announcing and receiving and the Account day he research is studying the theory of receiving and the relation Tbetween the reader, the receiver and the literary text. Holly Quran is the highest and the most creative literary text. The speech of Allah (be highest) is not normal speech, since it enforces the receiver to listen to it and react with. There is strong relation between the reader, the receiver and the literary text. Each of them has the authority. upon the reader because the text has the highest degree of effectiveness, the mature and integrated text can surround the receiver and the later has no way but to stoop to its authority. One of these texts is the Holly Quran and came next the poetic verses which were created by the biggest poets. Thus, any text carries the features of creativeness the receiver has no power to resist but to stoop to it since it launches from the satisfaction of that text. The reader in other side can practice his authority upon the text by hisability on creativeness in understanding the text.The thesis has been organized in preface, two parts and a conclusion.The preface deals with the mention of the linguistic aspect and the pronunciation idiom (for the receiver) and talks about the growth of receiving theory beside the aspects which form it, and mention the levels of the receiver too about the most prominent establishers of it.Part One : it includes (the receiving inside the Holly Quran text). Abstract: The Arabic novel with its regional orientation has not been isolated from the novel in general, since it employs a lot of cinematic techniques, proving, meanwhile, that it is open to other arts, keeping up the vibe of renewal and development, because many writers wrote with cinematic awareness and cinematic technique. This elicited the researcher to delve deeper into the effort found in the novels to achieve new modes of expression, which rely heavily on the image and the cinematic formation to maintain the tools to elevate the narrative speech, granting it the necessary narrative identity, which is featured with innovation and high narrative performance. The study is preceded by a forward, which tackles the definitions of concepts that are relevant to the study such as technicality, the concept of cinema, its techniques, and its impact on the Arabic novel. It also highlights the term "New Arabic Novel", and the classification of the novels under study according to it. Examining eventually the studied novels and the criteria of selecting them. The study falls into three chapters beginning with theoretic entries giving sufficient idea about each technology. The first chapter highlights the scenario. It is divided into two sections; the first includes types of scenario in the Arabic novel; the second is about the elements of scenario in the Arabic novel. The second chapter highlights the functions of the camera put into application. It falls into three main sections; the first tackles the corners of the camera, the second tackles the movement of the camera and its steadiness, and the third tackles the duration of the shots. The third chapter discusses the impact of montaging on the Arabic novel. It is divided into two main sections; the first is entitled "The Narrative Montage in the Novel in its Four Types : Horizontal, Reverse, Parallel, and Alternative Montage"; while the second tackles the Expressive Montage in the novel in its two types : the ideological and the rhythmic. The Conclusion sums up the findings of the research and the proposed recommendations.

Amen This research deals with literary criticism efforts which have been previously published on an Iraqi magazine "Al - Aqlam" extending to the period 1990 - 2010. It is titled as "The Trends of Poetic text Criticism ", as no unanimous approach deals with the literary criticism; moreover, there are several approaches contribute in one literary trend. Psychological Trend; for instance, has variant approaches : Freud - method, Lacan method, and Yong method. Each approach has its unique view and it somehow differs from another approach even if all approaches contribute on comprehensive view which it is the - psychological view. These fore mentioned methods are achieved on the level of theorization, and they are based on the same environmental rules. What is about the researchers who received the trends through translation?. The critical application in tackling literary texts ensures us that there is no specific enclosed approach can be applied on constant procedures and is applicable on all its details, but the overlap is obvious between all the different approaches. Therefore, it is impossible to depend on a constant inevitable approach because the criticism process is an interaction process between the creative text, the critic and his own literary and critical taste. For these reasons the critical trend is acceptable further than the depending approach. The period , which covers the articles within the research, is between 1990 - 2010, i.e. it extends for about 20 years and the concentration stage of the study was achieved on the last of this period ; in order that the study will be contemporary to the modern - literary criticism movement or to the literary criticism movements which have recently seen the light. This study presently shows unprecedented trends, since it includes for the first time studies about trends of literary criticism never established in the Arabic region; for instance, it includes the Cultural Criticism. For this reason, we'd rather the study be practiced on the recent years of the mentioned period since the Arabic region has witnessed relative stability.This research is established to deal with selective poetical texts, because it is impossible to deal with all the poetical texts published within the specific mentioned period. The plan has been put by researchers into choosing some agreeable poetical poems samples , the selective process had come according a certain view since the research obliged itself not to repeat the critic's name more than once , in order to be obtainable for more additional critics' names contribute on one study. The plan is made not to confine the critic's study to be subjected for unique circumstances whether the critic himself is one the followers of a certain trend or vice versa. These studies published in "Al - Aqlam Magazine" are by no means the best studies; however, the magazine includes between its pages many studies that differ between high significance and low - significance in order to let the reader read the magazine objectively. The research does not display the good studies only but also displays studies under the hopefulness level and the purpose beyond that is to disclose about the defects and to determine its places in order to overcome upon the defects. The research tries to achievean elaborate discussion and an analytic criticism to the under discussion critical context through active imposed dialogue in order to be capable of stopping at each point worthy of discussion , and lastly can classify each discussed point to be ordered and organized to its principal reference depending on the available critical - publications. On the other hand, the research can assay each text, and discloses its contents or stops nearer in order to thrill noticeable questions. The study is distributed among three chapters : the first chapter, "The Contextual Trends ", is related to the critics who made their deep comprehending understandable semantics meanings depending on the external environment i.e. the trends related to the factors are out of the text itself to understand the included meaning of the text. The critical approaches, "Al - Aqlam Magzine" displays, are variant and different knowledge wise and type wise. Some of approaches are on the top of skillfulness and technique; while some of them are less significant.In addition, the approaches are variants according to the techniques they follow, so they come as (contextual, textual approaches and others). There is not a perfect application to any trend entirely, but in many - times the procedures violate the application limitedness, or maybe the researcher help himself, by a different approach, which his study adopts , because the creative doing is an art has its own property on estheticism and structure.Moreover, the creative doing is the outcome product of special essence lives on specific society which it has its own traditions and habits passes through specific history of special events and incidents This creative discourse or the creative dialogue is targeted to educated receiver of a good quality on culture and language, etc… Knowing these effecting factors is necessary to the critic of creativity, and it has an active consequence into directing the critical doing; therefore, there is not any critical approach that has the stability and the strictness or may refuse the borrowing from other trends. In addition, any critical doing has its own way in order to achieve its understandable point into the creative doing or to reveal and discover its nature, its esthetic secret, and its specific structure. The literary text has significant relation on the establishing process of the critical discourse and its procedures; because the literary text is the main substance of the criticism essence from which the critical process is formulated ; on the other hand , the discourse is not rooted out from the literary text and its procedures. The first one is an introduction to the aesthetics and textual structure in the contemporary criticism presenting a number of different views about the aestheticism. The second chapter is concerned with the aesthetics of lexical patterns in the texts as being used in Emam Hussein's prose writing and how critics have analysed these patterns. The third chapter discusses the aesthetical applications of the lexical patterns in the contemporary criticism. The second part is also composed of three chapters. The first one is concerned with discussing the aesthetics of similarity or conformity and adjacency and collocation in modern criticism as far as Emam Hussein's prose is concerned. The warfare orations of Al - Imam make us feel that we are in front of a perfect magnificent rhetoric wording emerging from the bottom of a heart with some pain, so you find it stressed wording. He included in it what expresses God fearing and God worshipping and good deed. Oration was one of the Imam's weapons in his fights. He used it, owing to its being rhetorical, to evoke his men and encourage them and arousing their feelings and making them reach the aim he wanted them tounderstand and be aware of. I have chosen particularly the warfare orations in Nahj Al - Balagha to be aware of what they have from clarification. This is because those orations were often oral and none - officious, and free from any features of art. They are pure, so they represent the mode of the rhetorics. Some recent investigators have dealt with “The Nahj Al - Balagha” in general, and the orations in particular, but they were in grammatical and linguistic and artistry limitations. “The Clarification Performance in Warfare Orations” has not investigated the altogether content, but there are some bright images I utilized and some others I talked about.The references regard books of rhetoric, criticism and indication; and interpretation books of the Holy Quran and the Prophet's Talks sciences, and the proverbs as well as the Arabic literature cultural inheritance. I depended on Nahj Al - Balagha (Mohammed Abda Explanation) in determining the texts regarding warfare orations; and I also made use of Ibn Abi Hadeed Explanation.My research is arranged in three chapters proceeded by an a relusion and ended by a conclusion and as follows : Chapter one deals with the clarification performance aspects in warfare orations in Nahj Al - Balagha and includes four researches : assimilation, similitude, personification and association. Our literary heritage, especially the Pre - Islamic one has derived its facts from the nomadic environment to which it belongs, so it portraited it in the truest way of expressing its values, habits, traditions, thought, achievements and exploits. Hence, it has become a mirror in which the life aspects manifestations would be reflexed, and an alive image of the life status prevailing that period.This heritage has remained as a fountain from which the poets drew their need throughout ages of them is the Ummayad Era.The nature of the subject required that the research should be organized in three chapters preced by an introduction and a preface and followed by a conclusion.In the introduction, I referred to the heritage concept linguistically and conventionally, explaining the objective and the artistic causes hidden behind the Ummayad Poets inclination towards the Per - Islamic heritage and investing it in their poetry.In the first chapter, I have deal with the social tradition represented by the virtuous and the habits Arab values ,the Arab days, and the historical personalities and hreed horses and camels.While in the second chapter , I have studied the intellectual tradition and what legends and beliefs it contains such as AlGhurab, Al - Shaqraq, Al - Haman, Al - Sada…etc.In the third chapter,I have deal with literary and artistic tradition.In the literary tradition I stopped at the names of the poets that the Ummayad poets took from ,and educated in their poetry.Also I have stopped at the proverbs as they considered a social art and one of the literary culture's fountains while in the artistic tradition I talked about the poem artistic structure which is comprised the introduction, details and the main purpose. In addition, I have studied the language in words and in structure and stopped at some structures found in the Ummayad poem.As for rhythm, I have explained the nature of the poetic meters that the Ummayad prefer when writing poetry and studied the artistic image explaining the extent of the Ummayad poets’ being affected by their ancestors and their following them whether on thelevel of the single verse or a set of verses, or an the level of the whole poem. In the conclusion, I have reviewed the most important results that the research reached, of them were the following : ?? The heritage of any nation do not stop at the margins of a specific era. It is a continuous series that takes from each era what enriches it as influence and being influenced is acharacteristic accompanying each heritage.?? The literary heritage(artistic objective) is the main source of writer's education in general, and the poet in particular.?? The nomadic Arab values the Arab inherent have taken their to the Ummayad poets under the influence of the party that has blazed again.?? The Ummayad poets have made the pre - Islamic days one of their education sources, and utilized them in their as they were considered a record of their ancestors’ achievements and exploits ,and exploits, and bright pages of the history of their life.?? The Ummayad poets utilized the myths to relive their feelings and sentiments through subjecting then to their artistic experiences and their psychological sufferings.?? The poets’ talk about the poetry finds was not stamina from a belief or faith, but it is an attempt to show their artistic abilities, and their differentiation from their companions.?? The Ummayad poets followed their ancestors’ method in the artistic structure of the poem which is formed of three parts(introduction, details and the main purpose), with stopping at the margins of the sheer imitation, but they strived for renwal inside that arts framework.?? Abstract: The object of this study is to determine the style aspects in the poetry of Abu AL - Fath Kashajim Al - Ramly Muhammad ibn Al - Hussain. It appears in the from of preface and three chapter. Who second chapter is a study of construction level of poetry , and its divided in to three papers. the first is about the styles of poetic discourse (Nida style vocative partich (A - ya) ) , Is tifham (interrogative Amrw , Alnahi , the article "Aya" pat at the first position more than the others used in his poems. The third chapter tackled with semantic level in kashajim poetry , and it has three divisions. One who studied the wisdoms subject found that it is ahuman Phenomma comes from asharp sight and accurate thinking. This thinking don’t separate from realistic content. This reality is coming from organizing the relationship between the individual and society. This research cansist of introduction, three chopters and aconclusion. The research has many vesults. The most important ones are : - Wisdom is one of the ancient Arabic poetry purposes, It is aresult of along experiments and asharp sight towords people and their ethics. One who studied the purpose of wisdom, found out that it came from apure natuve motivated by experience. The word wisdom ( AL - Hikma ) does not come in poetry only, but alse in the holy quran and the holy prophet speech which refers to it s elevation, importance and it is wide using among people. The word comes in ninteen quranic verses in twelve sora but in each times it carries adifferent meaning deduced from context. It also comes twenty times in the holy prophet speech. We showed the relationship of wisdom with proverb, since bothe of them are abrief phrase come as aresult of experience or a sight towards things and matters, but they differes in other things of which is that wisdomc comes from a ware mind or reason so its more elevated than proverb. More, Islam rise had the important effect on people lives becaus, it is wisdom and advic guides people to the right way. During Islam begining, wisdom wos not taken from experience only,as in the pre - Islamic period, but it also taken from quran and people interested on the wisdom of the holy quran for its splended meaning. In the Aummayiad era, wisdom was mixed with the other poetic purposes like elegy , praising and AL - Ekhwanyat as in the political and Enthusiasm poetry, wisdom was restricted to the idea of unifying the social relalionships. When we studied the purpose of wisdom in Al - Hamassa divan, we found it as passages said by the poet, for this purpose, in an occasion, So the research studied the most distinguished poets of the divan and the psychology or mentality of each of them and his conditions which reflects on the poet who mentioned it in his wisdom poetry. The subjects of wisdom is poetry goes in two important dimensions and : - the mental or thinking wisdoms and moral wisdom. The first one clerified in life and death , time and its turnings or changings , charity and erils richness and poverity. while the moral wisdoms is represented by patience , ignorance,brother hoods, Frienship, ageness and youth. Each subject of hos its purposes and elevated meanings, which induce the poet psychology when he wrote any of these subjects. The most important of what we reached that all the similarities mentioned in the divan and all the poets of wisdom was connected with the material things that taken from noture and reality on which the poet lived , and all that comes from the real experience and deep Thoughts and feelings. most of the metaphors mentioned in the divan were imagination metaphors. Each poet has apoint of view when he draw his metaphors and connected it with what suit it and all that depended on the education and psychology of each poet. Meters and foots that poets used in Al - Hamassa in all wisdom verses, the most distinguished and more frequent was Al - taweel which half of the divan verses fallowed because it has awide space in which the poet stated his wisdoms throughout the experince he lived. The (AL - Rawy) letters that frequently used or mentioned in the divan poetries were (D) followed by (M) in the rhyme schme.the poets did not use the less frequent letters (h and ta a) or the rare (tha a,dhal,z,shaan,sad,dha a,gheen and w) , because of their difficult field. The meters of the divan verses came in more than one phase or phenomenon like (tasre a and tadweer). Was it negative or positive? How was the relationship between the two people politically inside that unified space? , this is what we are endeavoring to answer through our research relying on the following plan : Preface (portray of the latter (Kurds), concept and representation) : Theoretical presentation, in which we handled the concept of the portray, the latter, representation and idioms related to the latter (Kurds) as well as the ideology as an effective factor in establishing the portray of the Kurds.Regarding chapters and how they are divided, the thesis was in three chapters, each has two sections (researches).Chapter one is entitled as (the political portray of the Kurds and the ideological representation), in which we handled the relation between politics and ideology and literature; therefore, it was classified into two researches (sections) : The first one is (political portray/against the Kurds - with the authority), we stated how the political events affected between the two nationalities in establishing a negative image (portray) about the Kurds and how that taken portray leaked out. As for the second section, it tackles humanitarian inclinations in Andalusian poetry before the Age of Princelings. The first section of the second chapter exposes biographies of most prominent humanitarian poets of that Age, while the second section discusses humanitarian inclinations during the Age of Princelings.The preface includes information about humanity and its meaning in literature, and about sub states and princelings at the Age of Princelings.In short, my thesis exposes the humanitarian problems facing Andalusian poets being spokesmen of typical Andalusians. The problems used to be many whereas their solutions used to be almost "nil" because to fund deficiency due to the events they were exposed thereto subsequent to dividing their country into sub states and princelings as a result of their kings' misbehaviour, tyranny, and plunge in lusts, wine, impudence, effemination and invasion to enlarge their kingdoms. The victim was none but the typical Andalusian having to bear the rulers' tyranny as he was burdened with huge amounts of taxes he had to pay… he would see his money go to rulers squandering the same on their lusts whereas taxpayers were in bad need therefor to provide their families to improve their living… that was very painful. Hence, many found themselves obliged to leave their families, children and homes to get rid of that tyranny. Others were thrown into prisons and expatriated… the reasons were numerous and trivial. Andalusian poets undertook to depict all tragic events and scenes via rime, dictions, and figures of speech. So, they were not safe from the rulers' tyranny. Abstract: The thesis deals with the text and the margin in Adonis's "The Book" A Critical Study. It describes the central saying which dominates the content of The Book on special level. On the other hand, It dominates the history of the population on public level. It is a hegemony throwing light on Adonis's view point who has uttered the culture of the transformed text. It springs from philosophical basis, believing in the principle of move due to the move of reality, leading to guarantee the Adonisian pure transformation, that forms an intellectual, knowledgeable, innovative and aesthetic break off with what is prevalence in the Arabic and global cultures.Adonisian text is interwoven one; many philosophies and culture has melted within it. It divides thesis into an introduction and three chapters discussing the reading of the text and margin in Adonis "The Book"; it depends on three pivots; first fundamental; second foundation; and the third the term which seeks for the potential exemplar of knowledge beyond Adonis's creative and intellectual idea. On the light of the exemplar, the term "the text and the margin in The Book" will be specified. The first chapter is The start / Deconstruction which discusses the tools of Adonis's critical view point toward The Stable / The religion. The first tool : the rebellion against the sacred; the second : the glorification of sin. Chapter two is The Conflict / the revelation which throws light on the dialectic of text and margin leading to exposing knowledge. That is achieved through three points; first is the combinative structure of The Book; the second is the dialectic the history of authority / the margin. The third is the dialectic of glorification / the body. Abstract: After this long journey in the world of references and resources which have given me a lot of enjoyment I am about to embark on the end of my journey, here we should mention the most important results of this research : The way of balance was not easy, but risky because it is a thorny way and comprehensive process. Balancing between Al - Huttaya’a and Ibn bassam Al - Baghdadi - in their satirical sarcastic poetry she light on whatever concerned the two pets and revealed the hidden aspects of their lives and the influences in their satirical course depending the analysis and deduction in an objective way. The research revealed the circumstances surrounding the two poets. Their effect was one which is the hard circumstances that surrounded them and created two troubled, worried and troubled characters. There were incentives for their satire and sarcasm some was psychological and some was personal, social or political. The psychological incentive was stronger for Al - Huttaya’a while the political incentive was for Ibn bassam.For the trends of satire and sarcasm for the two poets, they share some and each was unique. The subject of satire which they share is self - satire, family (father, mother and siblings), the social segments like stingy people, cowards, liars, fools, etc. Also, they satirized the statesmen like caliphs, viziers, and rulers. The technical study took the great part of the balance the two poets for the inquiries and sections included, especially imagery like simile, metaphor and metonymy. For language they differed from each other in some aspects like the satirical tone : Al - Huttaya’a was characterized by his Bedouin language with its eloquence, while Ibn Bassam's language is simple and popular. The poetic segment is the dominant form on their satirical verse. They used some of the technical methods like interrogation, imperative, prohibition, interdiction, vocative, etc. The poets’ interest with the poetic rhythm : internal and external, in terms of meter and rhyme, the two poets did not get away from the meters of Artbaic poetry which were found by Al - Khalil bin Ahmed Al - farahidy. They also cared for the aesthetic devices like repetition, inlaying, segmentation, calembour, paronomasia, antithesis and opposition, etc.In the balance of critics, the two poets have gained a high satirical rank. Both were masterful of their arts and they were called ‘the poets of satire.’The satire of Al - Huttaya’a is modest and away from obscenity while that of Ibn Bassam was obscene.Al - Huttaya’a was outstanding in personal satire, while Ibn Bassam was remarkable in his political satire due to the bad political circumstances. Finally, this study tackled the hidden aspects of the two poets Al - Huttaya’a who lived between pre - Islamic period and Islam and Ibn Bassam Al - Baghdadi who lived in the Second Abbasid Era.

Abstract: The critical and academic studies demonstrated a great interest in the Arabic novel and exerted much efforts in the search, analysis and follow up of its different types, elements, artistic techniques, and narrative structure, that's why we proposed that our study be centered on the academic studies that focused on the Arabic novel through the search and analysis depending on criticizing the criticism. Our concern was limited to the M.A. theses in the department of Arabic in the University of Baghdad in the time period (2004 - 2013). The study has been divided into three chapters and twenty theses discussing in their content different concepts of the novel have been investigated. The study starts with a preface having three axes. The first has to do with literature, and the literary genres, and the second is related to the novel, criticizing and illustrating the stages the novel passed through since its rise until we received it the way it is and as has been studied in the thesis. The third axis contained an introduction of criticizing criticism, its concept and essentials. The first chapter (studying the contents and the subjects) has been divided into three sections introduced by a preliminary section clarifying the importance of the contents for the realistic novel in specific and for the novel in general. The study, in the first section, deals with subjects related to the (city and the society) dealt with by most of the university theses. The second section, on the other hand, dealt with the subjects related to (the exile, and the diaspora) after being considered by the academic researcher a phenomenon that pervade the Arabic novel in general, and the Iraqi novel in specific as a result of the wars and the policies of the governing regimes. The third section was dedicated to the (hero and the human models) that has a vital and fundamental role in the society and its social issues including the class, cultural and moral disparity The second chapter (studying the artistic structure) started with an introduction clarifying the importance of the narrative form in the structure of the novel. This chapter has been divided into two sections, the first one was dedicated to studying the artistic elements of the novel (time, place and character). The second section was concerned with studying the artistic techniques of the novel such as (ways of introducing the characters, a description and a dialogue) according to what the M.A. theses have addressed. The third chapter, on the other hand, (the viewpoint and the narrative structure) has an introduction clarifying the importance of the narrative structure and the importance of the narration. The chapter has been divided into three sections. The first section is related to the (narrative structure elements) including the narrator, the narrated, and a narrated to. This study displays the subject(The protest of loyalty) as described it as a wide range for the protest,and that made it related to the problematic which rasied by rhetoric and lingual speech and communcation.The study includes perface and three chapters : The structure of protesting text, logical indications in Al - Kumait poetry and the protest and poetry. The preface dealt the concept of the protest and loyalty as language and idomatically.It tried to find relations between the protest and loyalty because they are very important in the speech protest. The first chapter ,the structure of the protest text is dedicated to search in the concepts of the structure and the protest text and the methods of its structure and characteristics and the most important conditions which are underlied the protest in certain textand the most important features which distanguish it for the other texts. The second study dealt the linguistic structure of the loyalty of the protest text. The second Chapter offered the connection the protest with figurehead logic under the title of logical signs in AL - Kumait which is divided into two sections the first is in the meaning of the connotation, logic and showing their linguistic and idomatically meaning and this Section dealt with the meaning of the logical connotation and its functions in the protest of Al - Kumait potery by focusing on a group of the concepts such as connections, the factors ,the principles, relationships , power and peace of protest and results power and metaphorical sayings that located at the top of the protest peace.The issues are consisted which raised by the implications of mental , natural and objectivity and protest of these indications that served each issue presented by the poet. The third chapter which called ( the protest and poetry) was set aside an applied the elements of protest for the adults ,it is a study of aesthetics that the protester depending on them.The research is divided into two sections.The first in the protest of the poetic dialogue and the second presented the connotative and aesthetical aspects for the poetic image and appearing the hprotest aspect from it.

Abstract: The poet Zahir Al - Jeizani is one of the seventy s generation poets that seeks for the renewal and contrary the form and content of the modern poem.He started with the vertical poem as a traditional exercise , after that he wrote the rhyme poemaffected by the pioneers liveliness.Then he wrote the prose poem. The headline of my research “ Stylistic Phenomena in Zahir Al Jeizani Poetry “ that suggested by my teacher Dr Jassim Husein sultan Al - Khalidi. I found it as a worthy , because it is one of the subjects that didn’t teach on the higher studies level. In addition to that , my desire to study the modern Iraqi literature that represents the natural resource for our literary legacy for different ages and the cultural and critical poetry that Al - Jeizani has , was another motive in studying this poet according to the stylistic manner and the fewness of the modern stylistic studies of the seventy s generation and be limited to artistic and analytic studies. The importance of this study is the concentrate of the stylistic phenomena that distinguish Al - Jeizani poetry and how it connected with him and psychological affect on him. The first chapter is about the phonetic level (rhythm structures )and it is divided in to three topics , the first topic included the frequency studying as an artistic expressional need in the poetic text.The poet made it as a style in many contexts such as words, verbs , letters ,sounds and punctuation marks frequency. The second topic is about the revolving phenomenon as one of the modern poem requirements and its psychological and emotional on the poetic text. The third topic is about variety of the rhythm and types of the rhyme according to the mental requirements and modernism in the modern poem structure. The second chapter is about the level structural and included the stylistic structural phenomena in the poet language. It divided in to three topics , the first one is about the question and calling phenomena as a stylistic request that covers his poetry and helps to motivate the poetic meanings.the second included the verbs tenses far from the obligated tense and how the poet gave it new standards by changing the tenses to make the poem as pulsing or living tissue The third topic included different stylistic patterns that came in his poetry like the pronouns structures and the advancing and retardation that came as a stylistic variety.The third chapter was specialized for the reference level. the first topic deals with the meaning glide with the presenting of the metaphor manner according to the poetry mode. The second chapter is about the colours by describing them as stylistic phenomenon that contribute with the richness of the poetry mode. The third one is about the accord phenomenon by describing as a n artistic and cultural phenomenon in the modern Iraqi poetry and its historic , koranic and literary usage.

Abstract: This study tackles the theme of the Poetics of the Narration in the Novels Hamid Al - Shabeeb. The study is subdivided into a Preface and three chapters. In the preface we studied the concept of poetics in narration and its meaning. Chapter One studies the levels of the peoticlangauein the novels of Hamid Al - Shabeeb tackling in the first inquiry the ideological level, in the second inquiry we studied the expression in the third inquiry we tackled the psychological level, the fourth inquiry we studied the narrative space. In Chapter Two we traced the poetics of time in three inquiries : the first is about the narrative of time, in the second inquiry we study the level of the duration (duration). The third inquiry is about the level of recurrence. The third inquiry follows the poetics of the place in the first inquiry includes the dimension of time and its types. He narrative place comes in the second inquiry.We included in the Conclusion the most important findings of the study : 1 - The concept of poetic language is the most accepted in the poetic language, because poetic language is more expressive and better in status. In addition to that it beaches the rules ofthe ordinary language. It also displaces it and reconstructs it again in new structural order. Poetic language composes the non - compassable.2 - Time includes recalling and foreseeing. Recalling is the process of remembering the incidents from the past and calling them to the represent time by the similar to these events. The foreseeing means anticipating the future. Maybe this is related to dreams sprang from optimism and excitement.3 - For the place and its importance as far as the novel is concerned. Place includes the closed space and the open space.
