Abstract: ان ليزر اشباه الموصلات الخاضع للتغذية الضوئية الرجعية يمكن ان يولد اشارة فوضوية ذات ابعاد كبيرة تستخدم بتطبيقات الانتقال الامن للمعلومات في الاتصالات الضوئية. التغذية الضوئية الرجعية ممكن ان تسبب تغيرات كبيرة في خصائص الليزر، مثل تيار العتبة، والكفاءة التفاضلية، خرج الطاقة وخط الطيف.اضطراب ليزر اشباه الموصلات يوفر تقنية مفيدة جدا ، ما يسمى الاتصالات الفوضوية. والفكرة هي ببساطة تحميل (ترميز) الرسالة المرسلة على الموجة الفوضوية واستخراجها حين وصولها الى (المستلم) اذا حصل التزامن بينه وبين (المرسل). في رسالة الماجستير هذه ، نقوم بدراسة السلوك الديناميكي غير الخطي في ليزر اشباه الموصلات ذي التكوين (المسيطر - التابع) في منظومات الاتصالات الامنة. سيتم تحقيق الهدف من هذا البحث عن طريق دراسة نوعية تزامن منظومات ليزر اشباه الموصلات ذات الحلقة - المفتوحة والحلقة - المغلقة, من خلال تقييم تاثير المعاملات المؤثرة على هذه المنظومات, مثل زمن التغذية الضوئية الرجعية , زمن الحقن الضوئي, وقوتي التغذية الضوئية الرجعية والحقن الضوئي.تم دراسة تاثير قوة التغذية الضوئية الرجعية المزدوجة والحقن الضوئي في منظومة الحلقة المفتوحة. وقد اظهرت النتائج عدم الترابط او الترابط الجزئي بين الليزران لاغلب القيم, كما تصبح خريطة التزامن بشكل سحابة نقطية (عدم وجود ارتباط بين خرجي اليزر المسيطروالتابع) او خط تزامن متقطع. لكن يمكن ان مشاهدة نوعية التزامن الممتازة بشكل واضح عندما تكون قيم العوامل المؤثرة ( kf = 0.14 وkinj =0.28) وتثبيت قيم τf ) وτ ) عند (1ns) . في حين ان تاثير تغير قيم τf ) وτ ) في منظومة الحلقة - المفتوحة اظهر ان ا افضل نتيجة حصلنا عليها كانت عند (kf = 0.14 , ( kinj =0.28 و) τf ,τ =1.6 ns (. حيث ظهر خط تزامن مستمر تقريبا مع غيمة من نقاط قليلة متفرقة ووجود اختلاف قليل في كثافة الحاملات لليزر المرسل والمستلم. النتائج الحسابية اظهرت ان المنظومة الضوئية يمكن ان تكون اكثر استقرارا من خلال استخدام الليزر المستلم مع نظام التغذية الضوئية الرجعية ذي الحلقة - المغلقة من خلال ظهور خطوط تزامن مستمرة وتطابق كثافة الحاملات لليزر المرسل والمستلم . وهذا يدل على امكانية تحسين نوعية التزامن باستخدام التغذية الضوئية الرجعية مع كلا الليزران المرسل والمستلم. من ناحية المنظور التطبيقي للاتصالات الفوضوية المشفرة تعد النتائج التي حصلنا عليها مهمة لتحديد ظروف التشغيل الافضل وتقييم محددات اداء منظومات التغذية الضوئية الرجعية التي تعتمد على ترابط التزامن بين الليزران. | In semiconductor lasers, chaos has offered a very useful technology, the so - called chaotic communication. The idea is simply to carry (encode) the transmitted message on a chaotic waveform and decode it on the receiver if the latter is synchronized to the transmitter .The aim of this work is to be achieved by numerical study of the synchronization quality of open - loop and close - loop Semiconductor Laser systems through assessing the effect of the variable parameters that affect these systems. Such as, optical feedback time( τ ), optical injection time (τf) optical feedback strength( kf ) and optical injection strength (king) The effect of optical injection and double optical feedback strength in open - loop system are studied. The results show the two lasers are decoupled or partially coupled for the most values as the synchronization map becomes a cloud of points (no correlation between master laser ( ML) and slave laser (SL) outputs) or discrete diagonal line. But, It can be clearly seen excellent synchronization quality when (kf = 0.14and kinj =0.28) while keeping (τ and τf ) fixed at (1ns). While under the the effect of varing τ and τf in open - loop scheme. The best result was when kf = 0.14, kinj = 0.28,  =2 ns and f = 2 ns that shows semi - continuous diagonal line accompany with a few cloud of points and short mismatch in the carriers density correlation for the transmitter and receiver. The numerical results have founds that the system can be more stabilized by utilized a feedback loop at the slave diode in close - loop system. It is evident that the synchronization quality improves by using feedback loop on both lasers. From the perspective of applications in chaos communications and cryptography, our results will be helpful to determine optimal operating conditions and estimate performance limitations of optical feedback schemes based on synchronization of coupled lasers

Abstract: اصبحت المقدرة على معالجة سرعة الضوء احد الموضوعات المثيرة حاليا في البصريات. هذه الاطروحة تتناول ابطاء الضوء في تراكيب اشباه الموصلات النقطية الكمية ذات البناء النانو اعتمادا" على خواصها التي تم التنبؤ بها. استخدمت انظمة InGaAs/In1 - xGaxAsyP1 - y/InP النقطية الكمية كموضوع للدراسة. ان هذا نتيجة لخواصها الطيفية حيث يصبح العمل ممكنا" عند الطول الموجي الخاص بالاتصالات البصرية (1550 نانوميتر). استخدمت الشفافية المحتثة كهرومغناطيسيا لابطاء الضوء في هذه الدراسة التي يمكن ان تقسم الى اقسام. في القسم الاول ، وبافتراض ان النقط الكمية تاخذ شكل قرص تمت دراسة انظمة InGaAs/In1 - xGaxAsyP1 - y/InP النقطية الكمية لنسب0.1=x ،0.2،0.39 وابعاد (14، 3.5)، (14، 6.5)، و(30،8) نانوميتر على التوالي لكل من (نصف القطر، الارتفاع) للقرص الكمي. استخدمت دوال بسل لوصف دوال الموجة. ومن ثم، تم حساب مستويات الطاقة في مستوي القرص وعند الارتفاع. تمت دراسة ابعاد مختلفة من (نصف القطر، الارتفاع) للنسبة 0.1=x. اعتمادا" على حساب مستويات الطاقة، تمت دراسة التاثيرية الخطية لهذه الانظمة النقطية الكمية ثلاثية المستويات في الجزء الثاني من هذه الدراسة. تمت دراسة تاثير معاملات مثل تركيب الطبقة الرطبة، قدرة الضخ، العرض المتجانس للخط، معدل الاسترخاء، تنغيم موجتي الاشارة والضخ على الامتصاص ومعامل الانكسار. وجد انه عند قدرة ضخ محددة يظهر شباك الشفافية. مع زيادة قدرة الضخ يتسع شباك الشفافية بينما يقل الامتصاص. نفس التصرف شوهد ايضا عند تناقص نسبة الانديوم في الطبقة الرطبة.كما شوهد تاثير قوي للعرض المتجانس للخط. في الجزء الثالث من الدراسة تمت دراسة ابطاء الضوء، حيث تمت دراسة المعاملات التي اثرت على الجزء الثاني من هذه الدراسة. لقد وجد انه عند قدرة محددة يمكن ابطاء الضوء باكبر قدر ممكن. من ثم تقل مقدرة ابطاء الضوء عند زيادة قدرة الضخ. لقد وجد ان العمل عند بعض قيم عرض الخط المتجانس مناسبة للتطبيقات البصرية كليا". لقد وجد ان تقليل نسبة الانديوم تقلل مقادير ابطاء الضوء. في الجزء الرابع تم اشتقاق التاثيرية اللاخطية للنظام النقطي الكمي ذي ثلاث مستويات، اعتمادا" على نظرية مصفوفة الكثافة. تم حساب الامتصاص الكلي (الخطي واللاخطي) للتراكيب موضوع الدراسة. لقد وجد ان الطاقة المطلوبة لكي تظهر الفجوة الطيفية تقل مع انخفاض نسبة الانديوم. | The ability to manipulate the speed of light has recently become one of the most exciting emergent topics in optics. This thesis presents the study of slow light in quantum dot (QD) semiconductor nanostructures depending on their predicted properties. InGaAs/In1 - xGaxAsyP1 - y/InP QD system is used as a subject of this study. This is due to their spectral characteristics, where one can work at (1.55µm) the wavelength of optical communications. Electromagnetically induced transparency is used to slow light in this study which can be divided into the following parts. In part one, assuming a disc shaped of the QDs, an InGaAs/In1 - xGaxAsyP1 - y/InP QD system is studied theoretically for mole fractions x = 0.1, 0.2 and 0.39 at (14, 3.5), (14, 6.5) and (30, 8) nm respectively, for (radius and height) of the quantum disc. Bessel functions are used to describe wave functions. Then, the energy levels are calculated in the disc - plane and height. Different sizes (radius and height) for x = 0.1 mole fraction are studied.Depending on the energy level calculations, the linear susceptibility of these three - level QD systems is studied theoretical calculated in part two. Effect of parameters like : Wetting Layer composition, pump power, homogeneous linewidth, dephasing rate, and signal (and pump) detuning on the absorption and refractive index are studied. It is found that at certain pump power the transparency window appears. With increasing pumping power the transparency window is widened while the absorption is reduced. This behavior is also seen with reducing In - mole fraction in the WL. Strong effect of homogeneous broadening is also seen. In part three, the slow light is studied, where the parameters affecting on part two is also studied here. It is found that at certain pump power the slow light gets maximum value 1.4x10 - 5 W/cm2. Then it is reduced with increasing power. Work at some homogenous linewidths is found to be adequate in all - optical applications. Reducing In - mole fraction is shown to reduce slow light values. While high values are gotten for structures with smaller size. Values of storage time are then deduced for structures under study. Parts two and three are included in chapter three of this thesis.In part four, the non - linear susceptibility for a three - level QD system is derived based on the density matrix theory. The total absorption (linear and non - linear) is then calculated for the structures under study. It is found that the power required to be the spectral - hole appear is reduced with decreasing In - mole fraction.

الخصائص الفيزيائية الضوئية وانتقال الطاقة لاغشية بولي مثيل ميثا اكريليت المطعمة بصبغتين ليزريتين كومارين 102 ورودامين B == Photophysical Properties and Energy Transfer of Two Laser Dyes (Coumarin 102 and Rhodamine B) Doped PMMA Films

Abstract: تم تقسيم هذا البحث على ثلاثة اجزاء : الجزء الاول تضمن دراسة تاثير التركيز للكومارين 102 والرودامين ب في الحالة السائلة والصلبة . النتائج بينت ان شدة الامتصاص تزداد مع زيادة تركيز الصبغة وهذا يتوافق مع قانون بير - لامبرت. وان افضل تركيز كان (5 - 10x5) مولاري لكلا الكومارين والرودامين ب. ايضا شدة الامتصاص ازدادت مع زيادة نسبة تطعيم الصبغة للبوايمر في حالة الاغشية وان افضل تركيز في هذة الحالة كان (4 - 10x1) مولاري بنسبة تطعيم ( 20 مل) للكومارين 102 حيث اظهر امتصاصية جيدة (0.252) وناتج كمي (0.72) ولاغشية الرودامين ب كان افضل تركيز (5 - 10x5) مولاري بنسبة تطعيم للصبغة (15 مل) حيث ظهرت شدة الامتصاصية (0.11) والناتج الكمي (0.96) . اما الجزء الثاني فتضمن دراسة انتقال الطاقة لخليط الكومارين 102 والرودامين ب في الحالة السائلة والصلبة. باخذ الكومارين 102 كمانح والرودامين ب كقابل وتثبيت تركيز المانح عند (4 - 10x1 مولاري و4 - 10x5 مولاري) وتغير تركيز القابل من (4 - 10x1 الى 2 - 10x1 مولاري) في كلتا الحالتين.لوحظ هناك ازاحة نحو الاطوال الموجية الطويلة (ازاحة حمراء) في طيف انبعاث الرودامين ب تزداد مع زيادة تركيزه. والتي تعطي لنا امكانية تنغيم عالية في هذا المدى من الطول الموجي. في حالة السوائل افضل تركيز لانتقال الطاقة كان للمانح (4 - 10x1) مولاري وافضل تركيز للقابل كان (4 - 10x5) مولاري. في هذة التراكيز تم تحسين طيف فلورة الرودامين ب. ان عملية الامتصاص الذاتي حدثت عندما يكون تركيز القابل (4 - 10x1) مولاري وبهذة العملية تم تحسين طيف فلورة الكومارين 102 الى اعلى قيمة. في حالة الاغشية افضل نسبة تطعيم لانتقال الطاقة كانت للكومارين 102 (4 - 10x1) مولاري وللرودامين ب (2 - 10x1) مولاري وعندما يكون تركيز الكومارين 102 (4 - 10x5) مولاري وللرودامين ب (2 - 10x1) مولاري. الجزء الثالث يبين FTIR وحيود الاشعة السينية XRD والتصوير الفوتغرافي الذي يخص التركيب. نتائج FTIR تظهر زيادة وازاحة في شدة قمم الاواصر عند زيادة تركيز الصبغة ونسبة تطعيمها مع البوليمر. ومن نتائج مXRD نلاحظ سلوك الكومارين 102 والرودامين ب سلوكا بلوريا. اما PMMA فسلوكه عشوائي. ومن نتائج التصوير الفوتغرافي نجد بان صبغة الرودامين ب تعمل كمرشح عند خلطها مع ال PMMA بوليمر | This study included three parts : the first part included concentration effect study of coumarin 102 (C102) and Rhodamine B (RhB) in solution and solid state, the obtained result show the absorbance intensity increase as increase the concentration and this agreements with Beer - Lambert law, the best concentration was (5x10 - 5M) for both C102 and RhB. Also, the absorbance intensity increased with increasing the doping ratio of dye in film state, the best concentration in this state was (1x10 - 4M) for C102 with doping ratio (20ml). Which have a good absorbance was (0.252) and quantum yield was (0.72). And for RhB films was (5x10 - 5M) with doping ratio (15ml) which has absorbance (0.11) and quantum yield (0.96). The second part contented the energy transfer study of C102 and RhB mixture in solution and solid state by takeing C102 as donor and RhB as an acceptor and fixed the donor concentration at (1x10 - 4M and 5x10 - 4M) with variation the acceptor concentration from (1x10 - 4M to 1x10 - 2M) in two cases, observed that the red shift in RhB emission increase with increase the acceptor concentration, which give us a long range of tunable in emission spectrum of RhB dye. The best donor concentration was (1x10 - 4M), and the best concentration of acceptor was (5x10 - 4M) in solution state this concentration led to improve the RhB fluorescence spectrum. The self absorption process occurred when the acceptor concentration (1x10 - 4 M) and this process led to improve the C102 fluorescence spectrum to maximum value . For the solid state the best doping ratio of energy transfer was (1x10 - 4M C102 + 1x10 - 2 M) and (5x10 - 4C102 + 1x10 - 2M). The third part explained the FTIR and X - ray diffraction and microscope structure study. The FTIR result show increase and shift the band peak intensity at increase the concentration and doping ratio. From XRD show the crystalline structure of C102 and RhB and amorphous structure of PMMA polymer. The morphology study show the RhB dyes behave as filter at doped it with PMMA polymer
