Abstract: تعد المستوطنات الصناعية اسلوب حديث في تجميع المشاريع الصناعية وانشائها بشكل يؤمن تقليل التكاليف الاقتصادية للمشاريع الصناعية القائمة فيها من خلال تخفيض تكاليف النقل والانتاج والتسويق والخدمات الاخرى وان اهتمام الدول بالمستوطنات الصناعية له اسباب عديدة ومهمة منها التطور الحاصل في العمليات الصناعية وظهور صناعات جديدة تنفث السموم وتسبب تلوث البيئة الامر الذي يحتم تجميعها خارج المدن وهو احد الاهداف التي تقوم عليها المستوطنة الصناعية فضلا عن الاهداف الاخرى كان تكون المستوطنة اداة للقضاء على التخلف الاقتصاد ي وتحقيق الرفاهية في المناطق الاقل تطورا وفي المناطق الريفية وبالتالي فان المستوطنة الصناعية جسرا يربط بين التنمية الاقليمية من جهة والتخطيط الحضري من جهة اخرى
