Abstract: تبحث هذه الرسالة بشكل دقيق عن اصول ادب الخيال العلمي وكيف نشا في الغرب ، منتقلا عبر المؤثرات الثقافية والاجتماعية الى الوطن العربي بشكل عام والعراق على وجه الخصوص ، لتكشف الرسالة ضمن ثلاثة فصول عن الاسباب الدقيقة التي اظهرت هذا النوع السردي في بلاد الرافدين، ومن ثم تعرض لاهم الاقلام والاعمال التي تصدت للخوض في مضامينه ، لتنتهي بالخصائص التي يمكن بها وصف شكل هذا الادب في العراق .
