المستخلص: As the flower shops are a part of the model that signifies the civilized appearance of Iraq , they became an important requirement on which depended the necessity of transforming the form in its design dimensions that keep with the style of the present age and its remarkable imprint as described as a directed message including an aesthetic and cultural vision to have flowers and that doesn’t mean necessarily that they embody living or real implications in themselves, but in their aesthetic symbolism and expressions according to aims carrying a meaning in their different taste dimensions , Consequently , a behavior will be produced which conforms with this direction in taste , This arrive us to the title named research "The mechanisms of transforming the form in the design of interior spaces ".The research consists of four chapters as follows : - 1 - The first chapter deals with the research problem " Which clarified by the following questions : - Q/ What are the mechanisms of transforming the form in the designs of interior spaces? May these mechanisms impact on activating the functional meanings "performance, aesthetic and expression" for the flower shop to contribute in attracting the others in their cultural levels and aesthetic tastes towards humane evolution for this activity ?The purpose of this research is to reveal transforming the form and its mechanism in design of interior spaces of flower shops and then to lay designs pillars for form transforming according to mechanisms that suit the age, and The importance of this research lies in presenting a study required by the necessity of evoluting the level of the interior space designs for the flower shops, the importance of research Lies the mechanisms of transforming the form in the designs of interior spaces objectively. One of these mechanisms is the flowers shops in Baghdad , Al - Rusafa side in the period 1975 - 2013 spatially and temporally. in addition , the chapter explains the terms mentioned in the title of the research linguistically and terminologically to get practical definitions.2 - The second chapter contains the previous studies and theoretical frame. This chapter consists of four part as follows : ? The first part : enlightens transforming the form and searches in the concepts of transformation and form.? The second part : deals with the design dimensions for transforming the form that include " idea , material , style, function".? The third part : is searching for the source of generating the design form and the forces affecting its transformation.? The fourth part : adopts the design consideration of interior design as the objective fundamental to transform the form.3 - The third chapter : contains the research procedures and methodology. It depended on the descriptive methodology in analysis, Only six models were chosen by the purposeful selection to study the samples of the original research population, the instrument of the research adopted across several axes on which the form of analysis was built, indicating the degree of realizing those axes in addition to describing the research models and their analysis.The fourth chapter : includes findings and conclusion reached by the research as follows : - 1. The deep understanding for the concept of mechanisms of transforming the form, as described the general topic contained in the phenomenon of interior space of flower shops, and its effectiveness of its role when it is applied on the part, its influence reflect in different partial transformations and with functional values (performance and aesthetic), it may reflect on all with high proportion, to realize the full transformation on the level of interior design.2. The interior design “separated from the building“ characterized with spatial characters satisfying the considerations of design to transform the form as compared with middle and corner spaces, The interior design also presents a wide and flexible space for active possibilities through which the interior designer may create formal transformation which their mechanisms adopt aesthetic things satisfying the receiver’s taste.3. The façade is regarded as the most active space visually in transforming the form in its functional dimensions of flower shop especially the aesthetics of innovated design and the nature the exhibited things express by their significant value about the identity of professional space design.The fourth chapter also contains the theoritical design and practical pillars, recommendations general suggestions, beneficiaries and design proposal, in addition to horizontal diagrams, tables, illustrative means and a list including references and appendices.
