المستخلص: The preparation of co - doping Tellurium glass of TeO2−B2O3−PbO by silver nanoparticles and Samarium were performed according 80TeO2−(7.5−x)B2O3−12PbO−0.5Sm+3−(x)Ag. where (x=0,0.05,0.1,0.15,0.2,0.25 mol%) by melting quench technique and annealed at 300°C for 3h as a first stage of this study.The prepared samples of glass ceramic with dimensions 1mmx1cmx2cm were characterized by XRD, SEM and TEM for their structural identification. UV - spectrophotometer in the wavelength (200 - 1100 nm ) Shimadzu and K - Mac SA miniature UV - VIS spectrometer - spectra were used for their absorption and fluorescence spectra.Patterns of XRD revealed amorphous structure for all sample. The element compositions were identified by TEM and EDX attached to SEM. Their densities 5.37 - 5.49 g/cm3 were measured by Archimedes experiment, and the corresponding molar volume were calculated in the range 29.7 - 29.1 cm−3.Their variation occur due to the molarity increase of doping.The absorption spectra revealed seven peaks which represented the transition from the ground state 6H5/2 to different excited states. The band gap for direct transition for all samples about 2.3 eV, while for indirect transition around 1.91eV.The highly doped sample named A5 is selected for fluorescence spectroscopy .It spectra showed five emission bands at 430(4G9/2➙4H5/2), 435(4G9/2➙4H7/2), 450(4G9/2➙4H7/2) , 600 (4I13/2➙4H9/ٕ)and 645(4 G 5/ٕ➙6H15/2) transitions. Then according to the resulted fluorescence spectra of it, two additional samples B1 and B2 were prepared with the same molar percentage as A5,but annealed at the same temperature for 6h and 9h. And two more sampleswere prepared by increases their molarity to 1% and 1.5% for both samarium and silver, symbolized by C1 and C2 respectively. The intensities of their fluorescence spectra increases many times for the same emission bands as it is compared with the same emission bands of A5.

المستخلص: تضمنت هذه الدراسـه قياس تراكيز اليورانيوم في نماذج بايولوجيه مختارة من جسم الانسان ودمه , باستخدام تقنية التنشيط النيوتروني (النيوترونات الحراريه) المنبعثه من المصدر النيوتروني (241Am - 9Be) بسيل نيوتروني مقداره ((1.8 x1011 n/cm2, وتقنية عد اثار شظايا الانشطار النووي باستخدام كاشف الاثر النووي للحاله الصلبه CR - 39) ). تم جمع خمسون نموذج بايولوجي من محافظتي (بغداد وميسان ) اذ شملت هذه النماذج (نماذج الدم الغير مسرطن ونماذج الدم المسرطن من نوع سرطان الدم النخاعي المزمن ), وشملت الانسجه البشرية جهازين من جسم الانسان هما الجهاز الهضمي (المعده,الامعاء الدقيقه, الكبد, القالون,المراره, البنكرياس والاثنى عشر). والجهاز البولي (الكلى ,الحالب والمثانه) وتضمنت هذه الانسجه حالتين مرضيتين هما الاورام الحميده والخبيثه.شععت النماذج التي تم الحصول عليها بعد تحضيرها لمدة (7) ايام بالنيوترونات الحراريه المنبعثه من المصدر النيوتروني ذو الفعاليه (12 Ci) وبفيض نيتروني (5x105n.cm - 2.s - 1) وذلك لاجل شطر اليورانيوم الموجود في النماذج وتسجيل اثار شظايا الانشطار على الكاشف.درست ازمنه مختلفه لقشط هذه الكواشف لاجل الوصول الى الزمن الامثل للقشط باستخدام الحمام المائي حيث تم اختيار المحلول الكيميائي القاشط NaOH)) بعياريه6.25N)) ودرجة حراره (70 Co) وتبين ان الزمن 70 min)) افضل زمن قشط للكواشف التابعه لنماذج الدم والزمن (90min) افضل زمن قشط للكواشف التابعه لنماذج الانسجه البشريه .بينت هذه الدراسة ان اعلى قيمة تركيزلليورانيوم وجدت في نماذج الدم غيرمسرطنه (ppm 0.146) واقل قيمه (ppm 0.078) وبمعدل (0.107ppm) وفي نماذج الدم المصابه اعلى قيمه كانت (0.121 ppm) واقل قيمه تركيز (0.045 ppm) وبمعدل (0.085 ppm) اما في نماذج الانسجة البشريه اعلى قيمة تركيز لليورانيوم في الجهاز الهضمي بلغ (ppm 0.068) واقل قيمه (0.022 ppm) وبمعدل تركيز (0.044ppm ) وفي الجهاز البولي اعلى قيمه كانت (ppm 0.06) واقل قيمه كانت (ppm 0.023) وبمعدل تركيز(0.047 ppm) | This study involvement the measurement of uranium concentrations in biological samples selected from Human body and its blod using neutron activation technique (thermal neutrons) emitted from the neutron source (241Am - 9Be) with neutron flounce (1.8 x1011 n / cm2), using technique of the nuclear fission fragments in solid state Nuclear track detector (CR - 39) Fifty biological samples were collected from two governorates (Baghdad and Maysan) , included blood samples ( Normal and Leukemic type CML) and tissues samples of digestive system (Liver, Small intestine, Stomach, Gallbladder, Colon, Pancreas and Duodenum) and urinary system(Bladder, Kidney and Ureter) were this included two types of disease (Benign tumors and malignant tumors ) All samples are irradiation After preparation for (7) days to thermal neutrons emitted from the neutron source with activity (12Ci) and neutrons flux(5x105n.cm - 2.s - 1) fission fragments in the samples and recorded tracks on detector.Studied different etching times of these detectors and to reach optimized time by using the water bath for etching where Choose chemical solution (NaOH) with (6.25N) and a temperature (70oC) , and show that the time (70 min) the best etching time of the detectors affiliated to the blood samples and time (90min) the best etching time to detectors affiliated to the human tissues samples.This study showed that the highest value of the concentration of uranium in Normal blood samples (0.146ppm) and the lowest value (0.078ppm) with average (0.107ppm) and in Leukemia blood samples the highest value (0.121 ppm) and the lowest value (0.045 ppm) with average (0.085 ppm), but in the tissue samples the highest value of the concentration of uranium in the digestive system(0.068 ppm) and the lowest value(0.022 ppm) with average (0.044ppm) and in the urinary system the highest value( 0.06 ppm) and the lowest value (0.023 ppm) with average (0.047 ppm).

المستخلص: اجريت هذه الدراسة لتحديد تراكيز اليورانيوم وغاز الرادون في تربة بعض مناطق جنوب شرق بغداد (التويثة وعشتار والوردية وفلكة المدائن وجسر ديالى والرياض وسلمان باك ) .استعملت (35) عينة ترابية اخذت من (7) مناطق وبواقع خمسة اعماق لكل منطقة (سطح التربة,10cm, 20cm,30cm,40cm) للتعرف على مدى تلوث تلك المناطق باليورانيوم جراء العبث بالمصادر المشعة التابعة لمنظمة الطاقة الذرية بعد احداث الحرب على العراق عام ((2003 .تضمن الجزء الاول ايجاد تراكيز اليورانيوم في التربة باستخدام تقنية عد اثار شظايا الانشطار في كاشف الاثر النووي (CR - 39) الناتجة من قصف نوى اليورانيوم بالنيوترونات الحرارية من المصدر النيوتروني (Am241 - Be ) بفيض نيوتروني بلغ (5x103n.cm - 2.s - 1), اما الجزء الثاني فقد تضمن ايجاد تراكيز غاز الرادون في التربة باستخدام تقنية عد اثار جسيمات الفا المنبعثة من غاز الرادون في كاشف الاثر النووي (CR - 39). حددت تراكيز اليورانيوم وغاز الرادون بطريقة المقارنة مع النماذج القياسية ومن خلال النتائج المستحصلة نجد ان تراكيز اليورانيوم في عينات الترب كانت كالاتي : التويثة ppm (0.881±0.086),الوردية ppm(0.850±0.077) ,فلكة المدائن ppm(0.762±0.085) ,جسرديالى ppm(0.604±0.037),عشتار ppm(0.557±0.103) , الرياض ppm(0.465±0.171) ,سلمان باكppm (0.441±0.036) وقد بلغ معدل تركيز اليورانيوم لجميع المناطق ppm(0.651±0.180) .اما معدل تركيز غاز الرادون في عينات الترب لمنطقة الدراسة كانت كالاتي : التويثة Bq/m3(84.565±18.889),الورديةBq/m3(78.648±16.363),جسرديالى72.238±17.227) Bq/m3),عشتار Bq/m3 ((68.268±16.306, فلكة المدائن Bq/m3 (63.934±12.685), الرياض Bq/m3(59.097±10.777),سلمان باك Bq/m3(56.113±11.931) وبلغ معدل تركيز الرادون لجميع المناطق Bq/m3 ((68.980±10.297 اجري في هذه الدراسة ايضا تحديد معدلات الانبعاث السطحي والكتلي لغاز الرادون وقد اظهرت النتائج الحالية ان المعدلات العامة للانبعاث السطحي والكتلي لجميع مناطق الدراسة Bq/m2.hr(0.072±0.011) Bq/kg.hr(0.011±0.001) على التوالي . يلاحظ من خلال النتائج التي تم الحصول عليها ان تراكيز اليورانيوم والرادون في منطقة التويثة اعلى من بقية المناطق . | This study was done for measuring the concentrationsof (Uranium and Radon gas) in soil samples taken from South - East Baghdad(AL - Twitha, AL - Wardia, Madain Square, Jeser Diala , Ishtar , Hiay AL - Ryaid and Salman pak) .(35) soil samples are taken from (7) locations with five depths ranged from (soil surface ,10cm,20cm,30cm,40cm) to determine the level of concentration of these areas with Uranium .This contamination was due to the mis handeled of the radioactive sources of the Atomic Energy organization after the war Iraq in (2003).The first part consists the determination of Uranium concentration in soil samples using fission tracks registration in (CR - 39) detector obtained by the bombardment of (U) with thermal neutrons from (241AM - Be) neutron source has flux of 5x103n.cm - 2.s - 1 The second part concerns with the determination of Radon concentration in soil by using alpha - emitters registration wich emit from Radon gas in (CR - 39) detecor .The concentration values were calculated by comparison with standard Sample. The results showed that the concentrations of Uranium in study regions from South - East Baghdad were as the following : AL - Twitha (0.881)ppm , AL - Wardia (0.850)ppm , Madain Square (0.762) ppm ,Jeser Diala(0.604) ppm, Ishtar (0.557) ppm , Hiay AL - Ryaid (0.465) ppm ,Salman pak(0.441) ppm, the average of Uranium concentration in study regions(0.651±0.180) ppm . The Radon gas concentrations in study regions from South - East Baghdad were as the following : AL - Twitha (84.565) Bq/m3 ,AL - Wardia (78.648) Bq/m3 , Jeser Diala (72.238) Bq/m3, Ishar (68.268) Bq/m3 , Madain Square (63.934) Bq/m3,HiayAL - Ryaid(59.097)Bq/m3,Salman - pak (56.113)Bq/m3 The average Radon gas concentration (68.980±10.297)Bq/m3 .The results of the current study showed that the surface exhalation and mass exhalation rates of Radon gas in study regions(0.072±0.011) Bq/m2.hr (0.011±0.001)Bq/kg.hr respectively. This work shows the Uranium and Radon concentration in AL - Twitha is higher than the other regions

المستخلص: باستعمال حسابات انموذج القشرة النووي لتقيم مستويات الطاقة . مصفوفة العناصر النووية للتفاعل المؤثر لنيوكليونين اشتقت لجهود USD,USDB,USDA لوصف التفاعل للنيوكليونات وفقا لفضاء انموذج التشكيل للنوى ولحساب طاقات الربط والتهيج النووي . ووفقا لنظرية الاضطراب حسبت طاقة المستويات على افتراض وجود نيوكليونين بروتون ونيوترون خارج القلب المغلق وصفت وفقا لجهود USD,USDB,USDA العالمية . الحسابات اتمت باستعمال طاقة الجسيمة المفردة لتفاعل النيوكليونات خارج القلب المغلق ولثلاث انظمة , طاقة المستويات حسبت اعتمادا على مبدا الاختيار للزخم الزاوي والبرم النظائري T=0,T=1 لدوال الموجة غير المتناظرة للنيوكليونات . نتائج الحسابات اتمت باستعمال حزمة الماتلاب لحساب مستويات الطاقة مع قيمة عملية ونظرية لطاقة الجسيمة المفردة ونتائج الحسابات قورنت مع القيم العملية لمستويات الطاقة ولوحظ توافق جيد مع القيم العملية | The nuclear structure for low lying energy states of isotopes (_2^6)He_4 , (_9^18)F_9 , and (_15^30)P_15 nuclei have been investigated and studied using shell model depending on the evaluation of the energy levels . Nuclear matrix elements for the effective interaction of two - nucleons have been derived for the USD,USDA and USDB potential to describe the interaction of the nucleons at configuration model space for nuclei to evaluate the binding and excitation energy. According to the perturbation theory , evaluation energy levels with assume two nucleons one proton and one neutron out the closed inert core. The interaction of the nucleons out the closed core describe by USD,USDA and USDB universal potential .the calculations have been performed using single particales energy for nucleons interactions out the closed core in three system.The energy levels are computed depending on the selection rule of angular momentum and the isospin T=1and T=0 for antisymmetric wave functions for nucleons. Their results has been employed using Matlab software to evaluate the energy levels with experimental and theoretical single particle energies. The results data are compared with experimental energy levels which show good agreement

المستخلص: Image processing technique was used in a lot of studies and research and it concluded , including a number of mathematical relations . In this study , two programs were used , the first one; MATLAB program and second Image - J program . These programs were used to tracks analysis of α - particles on the nuclear track detectors type CR - 39 and CN - 85 . Where irradiated detectors by thermal neutrons from (241Am - 9Be) source with activity 12Ci and neutron flux 105 n.cm - 2.s - 1 . Which obtained on incident α - particles for detectors through 10B(n, α)7Li interaction after covered it with boric acid H3Bo3 pellets . The irradiation times - TD for both detectors were 4h , 8h , 16h and 24h .Through the analyze irradiated detectors of using MATLAB outputs for found the following relationships : a)The irradiation time - TD has behavior linear relationships with following nuclear track parameters, Total track number - NT, Maximum track number - MRD (with depended on track diameter - DT at range of radiation response region 2.5μm - 4μm and 2.5μm - 5μm for CR - 39 and CN - 85 detector respectively) and Maximum track number - MD (without depending on track diameter - DT). b) The irradiation time - TD has behavior exponential relationship with maximum track number - MRA (with depended on track area - AT ) at range of radiation response region 7μm2 - 24μm2 and 9μm2 - 35μm2 for both CR - 39 and CN - 85 detector respectively. c) The irradiation time - TD has behavior a logarithmic relationship with maximum track number - MA (without depending on track area - AT).While through the analyze of outputs Image - J program for irradiated detectors found the irradiation time - TD has behavior linear relationships with following nuclear track detector parameters : a) Total track number - NT. b) Maximum track number - MRA (with depended on track area - AT ) at range of radiation response region 12 μm2 - 24μm2 and 5 μm2 - 27μm2 for both CR - 39 and CN - 85 detector respectively. c) Maximum track number - MA (without depending on track area - AT)This study show that MATLAB program was more analytical and accuracy from Image - J program , through the logarithmic behavior for both detectors between irradiation time - TD with the maximum track number - MA (without depending on track area - AT). There is the possibility of future use image analysis of MATLAB program in the other nuclear track parameters analysis , including ; etched velocity - Vt, , track diameter - Dt , critical angle of nuclear track - θt , nuclear track depth - Dp .The image analyze technique for nuclear track detector which obtained from this study especially with regard to track diameter - TD can be take into account for classification of α - particle emitters , In addition to introduce this technique in preparation of nano - filters and nono - membrane in nanotechnology fields

المستخلص: SAM 940TM detector has been used to detect and identify the radioactive isotopes (Radio - Isotope Identification (RIID)) at low levels of gamma rays emitted from food materials.Six samples of fresh milk have been pick out for six locations in Basrah. Ten samples of imported milk powder have been taken into account. Ten samples of lentils, rice, coffee and tea have been taken into account.Eight samples of mineral water, one of distilled water and one sample of piped water; the last one has been picked out from the net distributed water at physics department building in college of science university of Basrah.The results of our study show that, the annual effective dose for the radioactive potassium ????40 in food materials of the highest value. For local fresh milk is (0.216,0.529)mSv/y for adults and children respectively. It is of these samples have been taken from Zubair city, and its less value is (0.076,0.186)mSv/y for adults and children respectively. These samples have been taken from Abuo Al Kasseb. As for the imported milk powder, the highest value is (0.556,1.349) mSv/y for adults and children respectively. The sample is related to Al - munash milk from New Zealand, and less value is (0.272,0.660)mSv/y for adults and children respectively. The sample is related to modhash imported milk powder from Oman.For rice, the highest value is (0.303,0.636) mSv/y for adults and children respectively. The sample is related to Mahmood rice from India, and less value is (0.149, 0.313) mSv/y for adults and children respectively. That is for Galaxy rice imported from India.As for lentils, the highest value is (0.029 ,0.061) mSv/y for adults and children respectively. The sample is related to Wade al akdar lentils from Syria, and its less value is (0.020,0.042)mSv/y for adults and children respectively for Urbak lentils imported from Tukey. For water, the highest value is (0.189, 0.398) mSv/y for adults and children respectively for distilled water and Janaan drinking water from Baghdad. Its less valueis (0.183, 0.385)mSv/y for adults and children respectively for Aquafina drinking water imported from Kuwait.For coffee, the highest value is (0.041) mSv/y for adults for two samples from Brazil and one sample from Spain and other produce from Poland. Its less value is (0.019)mSv/y from European Union production. For tea, the highest value is (0.019, 0.039) mSv/y for adults and children respectively for Jant almunaash and Gazalian samples tea, its less value is (0.008,0.015)mSv/y for adults and children respectively for Alwaza, Mahmood and Baiet alteb samples tea imported from Sri Lanka.The annual effective dose of Iodine ????131 , Cesium ????????134 and Cesium ????????137 in lentils, rice, coffee, tea, mineral water, distilled water and piped water have been carried out and the results are listed in thesis.

المستخلص: This work aims to study the details the nuclear structure of selected heavy nuclei 198 - 208Po ,200 - 210Rn, 218 - 228Ra, 218 - 218 - 228Th and 226 - 236U, due to the important of nuclear structure of these nuclei in applied nuclear physics. In this study two IBM version have been used, IBM - 1 and IBM - 2. The versions of model used to described the ground band, quizi - beta and quadruple reduced transition probability B(E2) for selected transition. Also, the IBM - 2 version has been used to calculate the magnetic reduce transition probability B(M1) and mixing ratio for group transition emitted from ground band, quazi - beta and quazi - gamma band . the mixed symmetry states and the effect of majorana parameters of the energy of these state have been studied extensively .the potential energy surface of each isotope has been produced as contour lines using the output of IBM - 1.From the result calculation it is found that there is an agreement between the available experimental data and the calculated results of both IBM - 1 and IBM - 2 . The agreement concerns the energies of ground band and less in the beta and gamma band for 198 - 208Po isotopes. Also we have agood agreement in values of B(E2) and B(M1) from the results of the two version. It is noticed that all the studied isotopes are belong to the vibrational U(5) limit.The result of 200 - 210Rn isotopes show closed to the vibrational U(5) moving toward the O(6) . the calculated values are very closed the experimental data for the positive parity states of the ground, beta and gamma bands with increasing of energy value near the closed shell.The variable position of 218 - 228Ra isotopes between the three limits of IBM - 1 ((SU(3), O(6), U(5)) ,where is; these isotopes moving towards rotational away from the closed shell . We notice the excellent agreement between calculated values and available experimental data for energy level and other nuclear properties. The value of E41/E21 for 218 - 228Th isotopes decreases with moving away from the closed shell, in the same time; the values of level energies decreases also. The agreement between the experimental and calculated values of energy level is very clear for energy level and B(E2) and B(M1) values.All studied 226 - 236U are belong to the rotational SU(3) limit and both versions of the model succeed in producing such limit and found agood agreement for all the bands specially the IBM - 2. It is found that the change in the Majorana parameter FS has an effect on the energy of the mixed symmetry state in studies isotopes . The B(E2) values also calculated and compared with experimental data.In the comparison between all the studied nuclei it is found that systematic of energy level of single nucleus and all isotopes it is found that the energy of the first excited state is different for such isotope and also the ratio of E41/E21 found to be moving toward rotational limit with increase of atomic number. In the present work we found that the ratio N/Z is always agree when we used different isotopes in the studied nuclei
