Abstract: Objection phenomena have been an obvious seen in the sixth and seventh Hijri centuries, because of the restriction of authorship, as a result scholars started to explain the grammatical and morphological text at that time. They exposed their ideas and point of view concerning the subjects presented at that period. Several scholars adopted this method especially in Andalusia. The most distinguished one was Abu Hayan, his works were known for their criticism of his predecessors of grammarians such as Al - Zamakhshary, Ibn Usfoor and Ibn Malik. His writings such as “Irtishaf al - Tharb”, “Manhag al - Salik ala alfiat Ibn Malik” caused him wide criticism which was explain by several modernists that he envied the latter, especially when Abu Hayan’s style in his objections was sometimes cruel and hard. We can’t place the objections of Abu Hayan on this alone; we have mentioned in this thesis the logic how to answer the ones who followed this school.Abu Hayan’s motivation for his huge criticism on Ibn Malik is that Ibn Malik was distinguished him self with an ideology different from the others at his time, this was because of his sharp wit as many had approved it. Also Abu Hayan’s attempt to display his ideas through the explanation of Ibn Malik’s writings, this made him a follower of Ibn Malik’s ideas. To display the accuracy of Abu Hayan’s objections on Ibn Malik, this study presented the most important grammatical and morphological objections and illustrating the most appropriate opinion of the first scholars that suits the Arabic language. This thesis is constructed on a preface displaying the lives of these two great scholars and their background to reveal the importance of this thesis and three chapters.Chapter one studied the stance of Abi Hayan from Ibn Malikb and the reason for his objections, a number of opinions were displayed, also the reason behind this objection and the terminology that indicates the objection and marks it. Chapter two studied the objections on grammatical issues concerning names, verbs and letters.Chapter three studied the objections on morphological issues, which varied a lot.The thesis was concluded with a number of conclusions : Aib Hayan’s objection on Ibn Malik didn’t affect the knowledge and scientific position of the latter. This study showed that Ibn Malik enjoys a sharp mentality enabled him to present new unique opinions, despite it is contrary to the old scholars but it doesn’t expel the general grammar of the Arabic language. On the contrary we find that Abi Hayan prefers the progressive method. This study revealed the differences between the two scholar’s methods, Ibn Malik followed the Kufi School in grammar by measuring the little he hears, Abi Hayan on the other hand followed the Basra School that depends on quantity in measuring but neglects hearing. The difference between the two was also built on the pleading on Al Hadeeth Al Shareef which Ibn Malik used a lot in building grammatical structure, at the time Abi Hayan didn’t approve of it, he thinks it is not appropriate to do so
