Abstract:
هذه الدراسة هي تحليل اسلوبي للفئات اللغوية والاسلوبية لمقاطع مختارة من رواية العقل والعاطفة لجين اوستن ومرتفعات ويذرنغ لاميلي برونتي وفقا لانموذج ليج وشورت 1981. تهدف الدراسة لتقصي البنى الداخلية لهذه المقاطع في ضوء البيانات الكمية للوصول الى ادلة ملموسة.كما تهدف الدراسة لتحديد وتوضيح الفئات النحوية والمعجمية والتنظيم الداخلي(التماسك) والخارجي(السياق) واللغة المجازية وصولا الى المبادئ الادبية لتلك المقاطع السردية.وتقع الدراسة في فصول خمسة. يتناول الفصل الاول(المقدمة) مشكلة البحث وفرضياته وحدوده واهدافه واجراءاته واهميته.ويقدم الفصل الثاني استعراضا ادبيا للمفاهيم الاساسية في الدراسة.ويعطي الفصل الثالث وصفا مفصلا لتقسيم ليج وشورت للفئات الاسلوبية واللغوية.ويقدم الفصل الرابع تحليلا اسلوبيا لمقاطع من روايات اوستن وبرونتي ويظهر التعقيد اللغوي لدى اوستن و"البساطة" النسبية لدى برونتي. اما الفصل الخامس فيعرض النتائج التي توصلت اليها الدراسة وبعضا من المضامين التي لها صلة بالجانب العلمي واقتراحات لموضوعات يمكن ان تكون محاور بحث مستقبلي. | The present study is a stylistic analysis of selected passages from Jane Austenʼs novel Sense and Sensibility and Emily Brontëʼs Wuthering Heights, in accordance with the model suggested by Leech and Short (1981). The study endeavours to investigate the internal structures of these passages in terms of quantitative data to arrive at concrete evidence. The study aims at identifying the lexical and grammatical categories of the narrative passages, showing their internal organization (cohesion), and their external organization (context). It also discusses the figurative language of each passage (figures of speech) to ultimately arrive at the literary principle underlying each passage. The study falls into five chapters. Chapter One (Introduction) introduces the problem of the study, its aims, hypothesis, procedures, limits, and significance. Chapter Two provides a literature review of the basic concepts of the study. Chapter Three gives a detailed description of Leech and Short’s classification of linguistic and stylistic categories.Chapter Four offers a stylistic analysis of Austenʼs and Brontëʼs passages. The analysis shows the complexity of Austenʼs language and the relative simplicity of Brontëʼs.Chapter Five projects the findings and conclusions of the study. It also offers some recommendations and suggestions for further studies
