Abstract: The cultural references in the poetry of the Iraqi poet "Adeeb Kamaladeen" has formed a significant presence through their abundant frequency. Such references are various in their frequency and difficult in their source. Some of them have had obvious presence while the others are less frequent in his poetic texts. The diversity of cultural references have made the research consisted of four chapters based on six references, Quranic reference is one of them that featured by the most prominent presence in the experience of "Kamaladeen". Such experience has varied in its role into two kinds. One of them has inspired its presence from Quranic story, while the other has derived it from Quranic verse. The second reference is the mystic one, by which the poet has derived the mystic heritage from mystic conditions and stages. He has also employed the prominent figures, such as "Annefery, Alhallaj, and Altawheedi" in his poetry. Whereas the other references are historic and mythological ones which have been included in one chapter, because they are less frequent than the previous two references. Regarding the historic reference, the poet has manipulated "Karbala incident" and "Imam Hussain", who is the the most important person in that incident, Iraq¬¬ - Iran war in 1980 and other wars, which followed. In connection with the mythological reference, the poet has employed several myths, one of them is "Gilgamish myth" which has formed a striking presence in "Kamaladeen's poetry" In addition, the poet has used the artistic and literary reference, that has been combined in one chapter, through which the poet has employed the most famous Iraqi and Arabic singers. He has also used Iraqi and Arabic poets and novelists, as well as foreigners through the literary reference. Hence, all these references have signified variety of the poet's education and his continuous acquaintance with multiculturalism that has consequently served his poetic experience.
