The present research aims at identifying the effect of using Keller's plan on the critical thinking of the first year intermediate student in mathematics material. To achieve the aim of the research it has formulated the following hypothese : There is no statistically significant difference on (0.05) level of significance between the mean scores of those who are taught mathematics using Keller's Plan (experimental group) and those who are taught mathematics according to the traditional method (control group) critical thinking test. The research is limited to the first grade female students in Al - Anwar intermediate school for girls in Baghdad / ALRsafa/ 1, administrative the first education directorate of Baghdad for the academic year 2014 - 2015. The sample was adopted in teaching were taken from chapter 3, 4 and 5 of textbook mathematics, The research has chosen two sections randomly, section (A) had been chosen to be the experimental group who are taught Keller's Plan and section (C) had been chosen to be the control group who were taught mathematics according to the traditional methods. The sample of this research is consisted of (60) female students, (30) for the experimental group and (30) for the control group. The researcher adopted has the partial control design for two equalized groups for the posttest, the two groups were equalized by the variables of : (test of previous knowledge, previous achievement, chronological age measured in months, test intelligence degrees and parents' qualification). The researcher has studied taught the two groups of the research and he has formulated a behavioral goals for three
