Abstract: Praise be to Allah and peace and blessings on Muhammad and his descendants and those who followed them till doom`s day. What is reflected in the domain of criticism specially the post - intertextuality which adopted the closed text unleashes the intertextuality feature in among literary texts to generate new texts. The text that which presents the basic element is subject to relations forced by intertextuality due to the fact that intertextuality is an interactive relationship among different texts that are referentially different. Raad Abdulqadir`s poems has not largely been a subject of other studies especially those with intertextual focus that investigate cultural, technical, levels and brings meaning to intention closer. Since Abdulqadir`s poetry is clearly marked with intertextuality in all its cultural and intellectual shapes, this is the main reason behind choosing his poems as data for analysis not mentioning the effect of his poems on the addressee and our wish to mark the features of modernism. The approach adopted in this study is analytical in nature. It depends on text which forms the critical process. This eventually forced to divide the study into a preface and three chapters. Chapter One entitled types of intertextuality in Abdulqadir`s poetry. It was subdivided into three topics : Religious intertextuality, Literary intertextuality and Legendary Historical intertextuality. Chapter Two involved employing intertextuality in Abdulqadir`s poetry. It was divided into three sections : Technical employment, Symbolic employment and typological employment. Chapter Three entitled ( Surface Intertextuality in Abdulqadir`s Poetry ) which was divided into three sections : Dadain form, Syrialic form and Historical form. Some of the problems that I faced during writing this work, is the shortage in references relevant and required in this study and the many subdivisions and complicated nature of the subject.
