Abstract:
Maha Hussein "Measurement of technical and technological skills of Iraqi university librarians" supervision Ass.Prof.Dr. Mona Abdul Hassan Jawad Al - Zubaidi M.Sc. Mustansiriyah University/ College of Arts : Department of Information and Libraries science 2015.The study aims to identify the technical and technological skills of specialist information and libraries in the university central library has been used survey method for workers in the Iraqi university central libraries in Baghdad, (Central Library of the University of Baghdad, the of the Central Library of the University of Mustansiriya, the Central Library Technological University, Central Library of the Iraqi University, Library of the University of Nahran) and the number of employees of specialist information in the study sample libraries (82) Information Specialist and libraries for the duration of (2014/2015) were distributed the questionnaire to them and ensure that the questionnaire several topics were analyzed and identify the technical skills and technology with the specialist information and libraries study Pearson correlation to measure the relationship between the studied areas coefficient used the total score and then test the significance of statistical coefficients link the application of t - test and then find a mean and standard deviation, standard error and the lowest value and the highest value for the field of cataloging and classification distributed by the university and where I found significant differences statistics and percentages are close among the studied universities and then apply contrast unilateral analysis (ANOVA) and reach to the lack of statistically significant 0.05 teams) <p) between universities in terms of average cataloging and Equsition and after the application of the multiple comparisons in a manner difference moral younger has been reached and there is a difference between each of the Central Library of the Iraqi Central University Library and the University of Nahran from the rest of the three university libraries where declining average indexing and abstracting in the central university libraries and the Iraqi Nahran compared to the other three central libraries of universities.The study found a number of the most important results : 1. The existence of a highly significant correlation between the technical and technological skills among workers in the university libraries at the level of 0.01.2. The study find there is a shortage in the number of employees in the university libraries as the total number (260) employees and workers with jurisdiction Information and Libraries (82) employees and the remaining number of the rest of the terms of reference.The study came out a set of recommendations including : 1. The need to train workers with the jurisdiction of information and libraries all of them, without exception, to modern technologies and programs, not just workers in the automatic.2. The need to provide qualified staff of specialists (Libraries and Information Specialist).
