Abstract:
The current research aims to : 1. Building an educational program according to the constructivist theory for the development the maps skills , and spatial ability in geographical material.2. To identify the effectiveness of the proposed program according to the constructivist theory for the development of the maps skills , and spatial ability in the subject of geography.To achieve the goal formulated researcher find the following assumptions : 1. There is no statistically significant difference at the level (.0.0) between the average scores of the experimental group students , who are studying foundations of geographical by the proposed program, for the development of maps skills the spatial ability between the average scores of the control group students who are studying the same subject in the traditional way to test the skills of the dimensional maps.2. There is no statistically significant difference at the level (.0.0) between the average scores of the experimental group students who are studying material foundations of geographical program proposed for the development of maps skills and spatial ability between the average scores of the control group students who are studying the same material in the traditional way to test the dimensional spatial ability.3. There is no statistically significant difference at the level (.0.0) between the average scores of the experimental group students who are studying the subject of geographic for the development of the proposed program maps skills and spatial ability between pre - test and post - test maps skills.4. There is no statistically significant difference at the level (.0.0) between the average scores of the control group students who are studying the subject of geographic in the traditional way between the pre - test and post - test maps skills.The researcher chose experimental design having a partial set of two groups, the experimental and the controller group. Two groups was rewarded with of search variables (chronological age calculated the final exam grades in the academic year 2.02 - 2.02 subject of Geography scores a half years from 2.02 - 2.02 , in the subject of geographic , the skills test of the tribal maps).Was selected as the General Directorate for Educational Baghdad - Rusafa\0 , be intentional for the application of the research, and chose researcher meaning junior high (the victory for girls) to make the search experience , were distributed to students bifurcated randomly in the fourth grade literary, as represented by the experimental group students division (a) who are studying material foundations geographical proposed program , and of the number of her students (2. students) , and represented the control group students division (b) , who are studying the same subject in the traditional manner, and the (2.) students , and thus the number of members of the study sample (2. students) , and included in chapters Four & Five in the book, (the basis of geographical and technologies) scheduled teaching for the academic year 2.02 - 2.02.studied the researcher sets of search itself, but the purpose of measuring the development of the skills of maps prepared researcher tested the skills of maps consisting of (20) paragraph of the type of multiple - choice , was presented the test on a group of experts , and the arbitrators , was amended some of the paragraphs , and achieved his sincerity , and persistence , and difficult , and indistinguishable , but the purpose of measuring spatial ability readied researcher tested the ability of spatial component of (2.) paragraph of the type of multiple - choice , was presented the test on a group of experts and arbitrators, was amended some of the paragraphs, and achieved his sincerity and persistence and difficult and indistinguishable.Treatment results were statistically using samples (t - test) for two independent samples and two samples showed interrelated where the search results : 1. Superiority of the experimental group students who are studying the foundations of geographic program, The proposed maps for the development of skills and spatial ability on the control group students who are studying the same material in the traditional way to test the skills of the dimensional maps.2. Outweigh the experimental group who were studying the foundations of geographic with proposed program for the developmnt the maps skills and spatial ability than the control group students, who are studying the same subject in the traditional way to test the dimensional spatial ability.3. There is a difference is statistically significant at the level of significance (.05.) between the average scores of the experimental group students who are studying material foundations of geographical proposed program between test the skills of the tribal maps - dimensional and in favor of post - test.4. There is no difference statistically significant at the level of significance (.0.0) between the mean scores of the control group students who are studying materialfoundations of the traditional way between geographical skills test maps).In light of findings of the current research results to conclude the following : educational programs adopted in the light of the needs of the students, and their problems are related to their everyday effective and impressive in the educational process, and the positive impact in the development of skills among students and raise the scientific level.In light of the findings of the current research results can provide the following recommendations : 1. Interesting makers and developers of geographic maps include skills and activities that develop spatial abilities in middle school to improve the performance of the students.2. That include geography books for junior high stage maps are developmental skills.In the light of the findings of the current research researcher suggests the following : 1. Prepare training programs to develop the skills of maps and spatial ability for intermediate school students.2. Study of the difficulties that faced by students in the mapping skills and spatial ability to put their treatment program.
