Abstract:
The present study revolves around (illiteracy and its risks in human development). This issue is very important because there are many illiterates which can be considered one of the fundamental problems that impede the process of development in any society.there are many to illiteracy causes such as poverty and lack of equitable distribution of incomes and wealth in society and other multiple reasons. Our current study found several reasons of illiteracy such as poverty , political system , culture, teaching methods ,modern media security situation, and increasing population size. In focusing on Iraq risks were discussed or negative effects which result from illiteracy.which are many such as political, economic and cultural problems, with emphasis on the social aspect.Was asked A sample from teaching staff to put proposals to eliminate illiteracy. The most notably were improved livelihoods, poverty eradication and elimination of corruption and the importance of education and try to change some customs and traditions which education of female to schools to name a few.Finally , proposals and recommendations were put to eliminate illiteracy or at least to reduce its size to pave the way for human development objectives
