Abstract:
The present study aims at knowing the level of the acquisition of sixth grade primary stage pupils in the subject of Arabic Grammar in governmental and private schools, and their tendencies towards the subject. In order to realize the objectives of study, the following two null hypotheses were formulated by the researcher : * There are no statistical significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the average scores of the sixth grade primary stage pupils in governmental school and the average scores of the sixth grade primary stage pupils of private schools in the grammar of Arabic in the acquisitive test prepared for this purpose.* There are no statistical significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the average scores of the sixth grade primary stage pupils in governmental school and the average scores of the sixth grade primary stage pupils of private schools in the grammar of Arabic in measuring the tendency towards Arabic Grammar. The community of study was confined to the sixth grade primary stage pupils in the three directorates in Baghdad Governorate 2013/2014 in governmental and private school. The researcher chose (29) schools from the three directorates and randomly (17) schools form the governmental in a rate of (%12) out of the original total community and (12) private schools in a rate of (%22) out of the original total schools. After the exclusion of the survey sample of (100) male and female pupils of the total pupils of Rusafa the first and second, as (50) from the Rusafa Directorate the first and (50) from thesecond directorate of Rusafa. The basic sample was made from (600) male and female pupils, out of the total community of the study which is made up from (70798) pupils from governmental schools and (977) from private schools who represent the total community,The researcher prepared an acquisition test for the sixth grade in primary schools made of (40) items. The validity and constancy was verified after exposing to experts in the field of Arabic and method of teaching Arabic, and in measurement and evaluation according to the behavioral objectives of 130 objectives. The statistical means used are the following : (Pearson Correlation Coefficient, Kudor - Richardson Equation 21, Alpha - Cronbach, coefficient of difficulty, Item Discrimination Power Equation, and the activity of the wrong variables, and chose among many). The results of study indicate that the relations are statistically significant for the private schools in average scores of the private schools is (29.970) and in governmental school is (25.213). It is noted that the high degree is (40) marks and the lowest is (zero) degree of success is (20).When verifying the second hypothesis it was found that there are no statistical significant differences at the level of (0.05) thus the zero hypothesis is accepted and the alternative is rejected. The average score of the pupils’ tendencies in governmental schools was (6.722) and in private schools was (33.741) in standard deviation of (7.741).In the light of the results, the researcher recommends to care for the teaching of grammar of Arabic in the governmental schools and make meetings and visits between the school staff in governmental and private schools to exchange expertise and discuss problems related to the development of the schools and the raise of the level, and equate the salaries and stimulus in all the schools private and governmental. The researcher recommends making a similar study to this one that includes some of the governorates of the country to be compared with the results and also make similar study to observe the reasons leading to the low level of pupils in the subject of Arabic in governmental schools, and by putting the proper methods for dealing with them.
