تناولت الدراسة موضوع كبار السن في محافظة واسط وهدفت الى بيان توزيعهم الجغرافي ومعرفة تباين نسبة النوع لهم وتركيبهم العمري حسب البيئة والوحدات الادارية من بيانات التعدادات السكانية لعامي 1987 , 1997 والاسقاطات السكانية لعام 2012 , كذلك هدفت الدراسة الى ال | The study addressed the issue of the elderly in Wasit province, and aimed at the geographical distribution of the elderly statement and see contrast ratio kind to them and their composition age according to the environment and administrative units of the census data for the years 1987.1997 and population projections for the year 2012, the study also aimed to detect the most important economic and social characteristics of senior age and knowledge of the most important problems and indicators of care based on field study of 20 14.
