Abstract:
The study aims to release the problem of influence of the oil industry on the environment in Basra, it is by the oil industry described the industries most pollution and in stages, all starting from the stage of research and exploration, through the extraction stage and ending stage of refining and petrochemicals, and on the other hand Basra owns three - quarters of the oil wealth in almost Iraq and attracts the world s largest oil companies, and therefore one of the most provincial pollution of the environment resulting in resulting from the burning of gas associated with oil costs which deprived Iraq in general and the province of Basra, especially the huge financial resources due to the optimum utilization of the wealth of hydrocarbon and social costs is the impact of the oil industry on health rights and the spread of many cancers and skin and respiratory diseases in the province and material costs is to allocate large sums of money for the establishment of hospitals and health centers specialized for treating diseases caused by the oil industry influence on the pollution of the environment in the province of Basra, which requires rapid practical solutions to save the man and the environment of the industry risks oil .
