Abstract:
The Urban spatial structure is a dynamic complex phenomenon that Consists of the group components, associated with on a regular relationship to form a system affected by a variety elements and factors change status to case. The urban spatial structure changes are not limited to the area changes but extends to include functions and relations changes between components urban spatial structure, this components take jobs and new patterns within a conceptual urban planning science that were discussed in the first chapter of the thesis.The urban spatial structure is a different according to space, there is not similar spatial structures of cities because the difference in the characteristics of these cities and their functions. Urban spatial structure affected byfactor, elements and these elements are associated with multiple and varied historical and traditional factors specific to the city or the same space, researcher named it as a physical elements. The study of the phenomenon urban spatial structure change summoned study the theories of place and spatial structure to understand the mechanisms or urban growth spatial dynamics which included inter spatial variables identified under which relations between the spatial structure of the components and gave a vision about nature of space , spatial structure , spatial elements and their relationships, theories focused on link the population level of service within the spatial structure and thus link the level of population density and size efficiency, other spatial variables strengthened and deepened understanding of the researcher studied the phenomenon and their variants, which was discussed in the second section of the first chapter of the thesis.The spatial structure of urban cities study the need to study the internal structure of the cities and organizing and activities of the Interior showed, which was discussed in the third section of the first chapter of the thesis as it has been to review the internal structure of the city theories and listing matches of philosophical depth regard to the phenomenon studied and basic components same as urban land uses and it linking relationships of attraction or repulsion , patterns of spatialdistribution , juxtaposition of these components to each other lead to certain functions of urban spatial structure. According to the study area (the old part of Najaf city) was formed and has grow n based on the Arab city planning theory Islamic therefore have been identified this theory and the study of the foundations and principles under which the planned Islamic city as well as the study of the tools that I talked about the interpretation and analysis of the phenomenon in particular style (Typo Morphology), to complete the study of literature , concepts and philosophies of urban spatial structure which supplied researcher scientific evidence enabled him to understand the phenomenon and its components and the changes in the second chapter study the reality of the spatial urban spatial structure of the study area, analysis and diagnosis of the research problem and the use of tools and methods of planning to link the phenomenon variables and measure the causal relationship between the independent variables and dependent variables, simplifying the mathematical model and prove the research hypothesis and Access to results
