Abstract:
This Phantom covered a wide aspect of the Abbasi's poetry in general and Al - Bohtri's poetry in Particular. Al - Bohtri's phantom is restricted in the introductions of his Praises which draws attention to the fact that it is not concerned with a real woman but it was a symbol for what is beautiful and lovable to the poet himself.The facts that contributed to the use of phantom , Social and psychological ones. The poet suffered a lot when he was a way from the Caliph and the minister who loved them and had real friendship and admiration relation ships with them. The happy and nice time , had spent with them , made his life bored and not pleasant when the two characters got killed. These two characters were the central pillar in the phantom of Al - Bohtri's Poetry. The poet was Calliy for thers his old happy and nice days in the Abbasi Calphate Palace. Also , their phantoms were Called whenever he wanted to praise a Caliph or a stateman. The faculty of his poetic imagination helped his link vision with reality and real world with dream. The poet goes back to his memory to get the power from the old happy days. when hard times stand against the poet. He faces the painful present time with the old times.
