Abstract:
After this long journey in the world of references and resources which have given me a lot of enjoyment I am about to embark on the end of my journey, here we should mention the most important results of this research : The way of balance was not easy, but risky because it is a thorny way and comprehensive process. Balancing between Al - Huttaya’a and Ibn bassam Al - Baghdadi - in their satirical sarcastic poetry she light on whatever concerned the two pets and revealed the hidden aspects of their lives and the influences in their satirical course depending the analysis and deduction in an objective way. The research revealed the circumstances surrounding the two poets. Their effect was one which is the hard circumstances that surrounded them and created two troubled, worried and troubled characters. There were incentives for their satire and sarcasm some was psychological and some was personal, social or political. The psychological incentive was stronger for Al - Huttaya’a while the political incentive was for Ibn bassam.For the trends of satire and sarcasm for the two poets, they share some and each was unique. The subject of satire which they share is self - satire, family (father, mother and siblings), the social segments like stingy people, cowards, liars, fools, etc. Also, they satirized the statesmen like caliphs, viziers, and rulers. The technical study took the great part of the balance the two poets for the inquiries and sections included, especially imagery like simile, metaphor and metonymy. For language they differed from each other in some aspects like the satirical tone : Al - Huttaya’a was characterized by his Bedouin language with its eloquence, while Ibn Bassam's language is simple and popular. The poetic segment is the dominant form on their satirical verse. They used some of the technical methods like interrogation, imperative, prohibition, interdiction, vocative, etc. The poets’ interest with the poetic rhythm : internal and external, in terms of meter and rhyme, the two poets did not get away from the meters of Artbaic poetry which were found by Al - Khalil bin Ahmed Al - farahidy. They also cared for the aesthetic devices like repetition, inlaying, segmentation, calembour, paronomasia, antithesis and opposition, etc.In the balance of critics, the two poets have gained a high satirical rank. Both were masterful of their arts and they were called ‘the poets of satire.’The satire of Al - Huttaya’a is modest and away from obscenity while that of Ibn Bassam was obscene.Al - Huttaya’a was outstanding in personal satire, while Ibn Bassam was remarkable in his political satire due to the bad political circumstances. Finally, this study tackled the hidden aspects of the two poets Al - Huttaya’a who lived between pre - Islamic period and Islam and Ibn Bassam Al - Baghdadi who lived in the Second Abbasid Era.
