Abstract:
The interior space has its characteristics in terms of effectiveness involving a design that can be achieved functionally to a specific space but not other space. So that its system controlled by a mechanism which differs due to the space components. And this can be determined at any internal space characterized by factors and limitations by tools identifying the space. This identification comes according to the use of that space. The space of internal TV production studio has characteristics, components and elements which are distributed within the space because of its connection with functional and technical factors aesthetically and psychologically to its occupants.Through reviewing a lot of literature about international design studios, and comparing with what is available of TV drama production, the researcher has identified the following question : Is there any characteristics (Characterized by the local studio) at the interior space of TV production studios that matching its functional aspects?The aim of the research is to identify the characteristics of the internal space of TV production studios, depending on the functional and aesthetical aspects.The scope of the research is the period from 2009 to 2014 as it is characterized by new technologies, globalization and knowledge exchanging. Spatiality scope is Iraqi Satellite TV channels in Baghdad, which have production studios (i.e. Iraqiah, Sumerian and Educational channel).Chapter 2 consists of 4 sections; the concept of the characteristics in the interior design, the artistic interior spaces, specifications of interior spaces of TV production studio, and modern interior design techniques. An observation checklist has been designed by the researcher then viewed on experts in interior design for amendments.The researcher followed a descriptive analytical method, some of the results are : 1. It has been relied on functional components achievements through the performing aspect, and ignoring the functional and aesthetic aspects. This characterized in the samples unevenly.2. All samples lacked of systematic treatment to the aesthetic effects through psychological considerations at a value below the expected level.3. Samples 1 (a - b) and 2, have characteristics of internal space of area, measurement, lighting, and luminescence at an international characteristicslevel, but that internal space is not exploited in a good way resulting a failure in distribution and arrangement processes, while other samples lacked of that characteristic.Some of research conclusions are : 1. The principles of studio internal space characteristics rely on lighting diversity and multiplicity characteristic within the space, depending on its position, direction, automatic movement and temperature.2. The space capacity gives a greater freedom to construct shapes and expand those shapes toward the decoration design, and it provides easiness to the movement of cameras, people and optimum performance for training and performing.The most important recommendations of this research is : We have to get help from interior designer to distribute stable elements to add an aesthetic and expressive aspects, to provide a physical and engineering characteristics for achieving spatial arrangement, taking into consideration changing and redesigning
