Abstract:
Strategic spatial planning had significantly attention in the past two decades and on all international and continental, regional and local levels and banded together several scientific competence in the highlight, was a joint product of thinkers in a variety of sciences such as management, planning and strategy, economics, geography, environment, resulting from this interest clear reflection in the field of urban and regional planning was the change the traditional goal of focusing on land - use planning his attention to focus on strategic spatial planning based on a strategic analysis of the internal and external environment of the region, and then adopted this research a number of styles and models planning on according to the available and used as input to the specimen of the proposed study and of a matrix of strategic planning quantitative data QSPM)) as the matrix output quantity has been certified as inputs in a matrix SOWT and then determine the appropriate strategic alternative. One of the important conclusions of the research are as follows : - Capabilities of self - agricultural sector plant in the province of Babylon, being able to developmental strategy for obtaining dependence on weights Kicks interior by (3.3) points (strength) index weights external weights by 3.6 points (Jobs Index) compared with the average Likert scale quadruple user (2.5) points. - Capabilities of self - agricultural sector animal in the province of Babylon, being able to developmental strategy for obtaining dependence on weights Kicks internal by 3.4 points (strength) index weights external weights by 2.6 points (Jobs Index) compared with the average Likert scale quadruple user (2.5) points. - Capabilities of self - industrial sector in the province of Babylon, being able to developmental strategy for obtaining dependence on weights Kicks interior by (2.8) points (strength) index weights external weights by 3 points (Jobs Index) compared with the average Likert scale quadruple user (2.5) points.One of the main recommendations recommended by the search adopt a more active approach to project planning in order to promote regional development and competitiveness of cities and the best approach is strategic planning.
