Abstract:
The present study aims at identifying : 1. Mature Personality of university students.2. The significant individual differences among students in Mature Personality according to social gender (male/ female) and academic assignment ( scientific / humanitarian).3. Practical Intelligence of university students.4. The significant individual differences among students in practical intelligence according to social gender (male/ female) and academic assignment ( scientific / humanitarian).5. wisdom Based Thinking of university students.6. The significant individual differences among students in wisdom Based on Thinking according to social gender (male/ female) and academic assignment ( scientific / humanitarian).7. The relationship between Mature Personality and Practical Intelligence, and the Mature Personality and wisdom Based Thinking of university students.8. Proportion of the contribution of The Mature Personality in Practical Intelligence and wisdom Based Thinking.The community of this research is morning students of Karbala University from both Gender (male/ female) and academic assignment ( scientific / humanitarian) in 2016 - 2017.To achieve these goals the researcher constructed a scale of mature personality, which consists of (56) items has positive and negative content. They are distributed of six domains. She presents the scale to (16) judges , then she utilized Q - square to compare responses of the (16) judges. Then she omitted (5) items which are not significant and the scale became (51) items. After analyzing the items one item is omitted, and the final form of the scale is (50).The researcher also constructed a scale of applied intelligence, which consist of (34) items that distributed of four domains. She presents the scale to (24) judges,Bthen she utilized Q - square to compare responses of the (16) judges. Then she omitted (12) items which are not significant and the scale became (22) items. After analyzing the items three item are omitted, and the final form of the scale is (18). The researcher also examines the affectivity of the alternatives which are all affective.The researcher adopted scale of thinking based on wisdom (Mohammed, 2016) which consists of (36) items has positive and negative content. They are distributed of six domains. She presents the scale to (16) judges, then she utilized Q - square to compare responses of the (16) judges. The judges suggested to separate the first domain into two dimensions and add some items, so the scale became consisting of (42) items distributed on seven domains. After analyzing these items one of them is omitted, and the final form of the scale is (41). The respondents for this study were students of University of Karbala (400 male & female) who were chosen randomly according to community distribution. She analyzed data using statistics bag SPSS.The results of the study revealed that : 1 - Students of University of Karbala have mature personality.2 - There are significant differences in mature personality according gender for male, but there are not in academic assignments.3 - Students of University of Karbala do not have applied intelligence.4 - There are significant differences in applied intelligence according gender for male, and there are significant difference in academic assignment too for scientific assignment.5 - Students of University of Karbala have wisdom based on thinking.6 - There are not significant differences in thinking based on wisdom according gender and academic assignment.7 - There is a significant correlation between mature personality and practical intelligence, mature personality contributes to practical intelligence (3%), and mature personality contributes to the existence of reasoning Wisdom based on Thinking (37%) of possible changes.Based on the findings of the study, recommendations and suggestions were made.
