Abstract:
يمكن لمتتبع التنس الحديث ان يلاحظ الاهمية الكبيرة التي تحتلها مهارة الارسال، لما لهذه المهارة من تاثير كبير في النتيجة في اغلب المباريات، واهتم مدربو التنس في الاونة الاخير بتدريب مهارة الارسال والتركيز على المتغيرات الكثيرة التي تتصف بها هذه المهارة بدا | If you are a tennis fan you will certainly notice the importance of serving on the outcome of any tennis match. Recently, tennis coaches have been interested in serving and on the many variables that influence this skill. Three kinds of serving have been selected (flat, top spin and slice) to develop the accuracy of serving. The importance of the study lies in designing a training program according to kinematical variables for three kinds of serving to develop the accuracy of serving. Kinematical variables indicate good artistic performance which means good accuracy and speed for the task. The Problem of the study is that the researcher noticed that Iraqi players use only one type of serving a matter that expose them to their opponent which makes winning a difficult task. In addition to that, most tennis players suffer from the lack of accuracy and speed in performing serving. Thus, the researcher hoped to develop this weakness by analyzing three kinds of serving of elite players as well as designing a training program according to the results of this analysis to identify the effect on the accuracy of serving. The Aims of The Study : 1. Identifying the kinematical variables of three kinds of serving. 2. Designing a training program according to kinematical variables for three kinds of serving. 3. Identifying the effect of the training program on serving kinematical variables and its level of accuracy.4. Comparing between the results of the kinematical analysis for international elite tennis players and Iraqi tennis players. The Hypotheses of The Study : 1. There are significant statistical differenced in some kinematical variables between international elite tennis players and Iraqi tennis players. 2. The training program has positive effects on the accuracy of serving performance of Iraqi tennis players.3. There are significant differences in the level of serving accuracy between pre and posttests of the tennis national league players. The Procedures : The subjects were (8) international elite tennis players and (8) Iraqi tennis players who represent the national league for the season 2008 - 2009. in order to conduct accuracy tests, the researcher standardized an accuracy measurement for three kinds of serving (flat, top spin and slice). He used motor analyses for kinematical variables to measure the variable that affect on serving. After that, the researcher designed a training program according to these kinematical variables and applied it on the subjects. The results were compared with international elite tennis players. Conclusions : The researcher concluded that there are significant differences between the level of Iraqi players and international elite players in serving. This difference is due to the weakness in using angles that international players use effectively to apply hi skill, acquire a point and to verify his serve. Iraqi players, on the other hand, do the opposite thing. Thus, after applying the training program, Iraqi players reached high levels closer to international players yet the training period was too short to achieve greater effects. The researcher realized that tennis players are only trained on one kind of serving that they cannot change while international players can simply shift from one kind of serving to the other. Recommendations : The researcher recommended that training should not be fixated on one type of serving but on three other serving kinds. He also recommended that training sessions should not be restricted to one training session per week.
