Abstract:
The thesis entitled Ibn Al - Authaymean’s Linguistic and Syntactic Effects in Explaining the Book of Zad Al - Mustaqni.The study consists of an introduction, four chapters and conclusion. The introduction deals with Al - Authaymean biography and the relation between the Arabic language and Shareea. The first chapter falls in two sections, the first of which presents the main sources and references of Al - Authaymean and also the well known scholars whose views appeared in the book. The second sections deals with the auditory sources of language based mainly on the Holy Quran, the Prophet’s sayings, the poetry and Arab prose. The second chapter falls in three sections. The first section deals with types of semantic references, i.e. phonetic linguistic, dictionary meanings, figurative and Islamic. It also talks about the contexts (linguistic, social and contexts). The second section reviewed the semantic relations among words. The third section presents the semantic, non - relations among words. The third chapter falls in two sections. The first one deals with factors and causes, whereas the second one talks about the syntactic aspects. The fourth chapter consists of three sections. The first one deals with markedness rules concerning nouns, the second one contains the rule of verbs. The third section was specified for markedness rules and preposition.
