Abstract:
One of the important bases of the teaching process is the interest in learning, to have an effective teaching impact, and to have an active thinking that is able to independently choose its decisions. All this stems from developing teaching methods and strategies via applying various teaching approaches in the educational process. A proficient teacher is that who can persistently afford modern teaching and knows many teaching methods and approaches in the way that creates a positive, not a negative learner. Modern methods of teaching concentrate on making teaching more interesting and active in specifying the required material.Therefore, it is a must to use this strategy in teaching physical activities which rely on self - learning and making learners to be the center of the educational system through transmitting information to the learner in the best way possible. Kinetic learning depends on the effectivity of approaches adopted in teaching dynamic skills to reach to the accepted performance level within the allotted time. This has pushed those who are working in the field of dynamic learning to search for the best modern teaching approaches to achieve the aim of kinetic skills learning. Furthermore, the learning strategy is considered one of modern teaching strategies. It is a way of learning and teaching at the same time through involving students in activities and exercises to a great extent. To achieve this aim, we should depend on experts and specialists in setting the educational and training programs, relying on the scientific method in planning and executing them so as to raise the teaching level and ensure achieving the educational objectives. Here lies the importance of thestudy through contributing in equipping physical education teachers with generative learning strategy which might assist in increasing cognitive and skill achievements of their students in the field of sports, as well as involving students in generating new ideas based on their previous experiences and how to practically use and apply them to enable them developing some basic futsal skills. Problem of the study : in light of the experience of the researcher as being a player and in relation to futsal along with his recognition of the educational process concerning this material, he noticed that a great number of teachers are neither following nor applying modern strategies in the field of training and teaching practical lessons, but they are merely relying on teacher recitation and student listening in the educational process, while modern strategies encourage the teaching and learning to be carried at the same time. Aims of the study : 1. Setting a teaching program according to generative learning strategy in developing some basic skills in futsal.2. Finding out the effect of generative learning strategy in developing some basic skills in futsal.Hypotheses of the study : 1. There are statistically significant differences between the controlling and experimental groups in favor of the experimental one.2. There are statistically significant variations between the pre and post tests of the controlling group in favor of the post - test.Chapter Two : Theoretical Studies and Previous Literature : In the first part of chapter two, the researcher dealt with the concept of generative learning. He also tackled the basic skills in futsal as well as identifying and explaining them. While in the second part the researcher referred to many previous studies preceding this one.Chapter Three : Methodology and Field Procedures : The researcher adopted the experimental approach of experimental and controlling groups with pre and post tests. The sample of the study is selected from third year female students/ College of Physical Education/ University of Diyala in the academic year 2014 - 2015 comprising of (30) students. They are divided into two groups of (15) students each. Then, the researcher matched between the two groups. Field procedures include; zigzag walking and rolling tests, passing towards small goal test, and shooting towards two sided goal test. Then, the researcher prepared a teaching approach for members of the experimental group in concordance to generative learning strategy for the period from 17/11/2014 to 9/3/2015. The teaching method took a period of 12 weeks, two teaching units per week.Chapter Four : Results displaying, Analysis and Discussion : This chapter contains displaying results, analyzing and discussing them of the pre and post tests for both groups, the controlling and the experimental.Chapter Five : Conclusions and Recommendations : The researcher has come to many conclusions, most important amongthem are : 1. Embracing generative learning strategy has proven its effectivity in developing the skills of rolling, passing and shooting in futsal, which is reflected on developing the skillful performance of the study sample. 2. The appearance of significant differences between pre and post - tests indicates the effectivity of adopting generative learning strategy in developing basic futsal skills.3. Using generative learning in spreading perseverance inside of female students has increased their inclination towards learning and habituate them to independence in learning.Recommendations : 1. The necessity of embracing generative learning strategy in the field of sports and adopting it in learning the various activities and skills of sports as well as developing them. 2. Using the generative learning strategy as it is a strategy that is followed in teaching the various kinetic skills and learning them.3. The need to use a number of modern learning approaches and strategies, and not to merely stick to traditional and conventional styles
