احتفى علماء العربية بكتاب " اللمع في العربية " ابن جني ( ت 392 هـ ) حتى بلغت شروحه التي ذكرت في الفهارس اكثر من اثنين وعشرين شرحا.وقد اخترت احد هذه الشروح لعالم عاش في القرن السادس الهجري وهو الاديب النحوي الاسعد بن نصر العبرتي ( ت 589 هـ | Scholars of the Arabic language has celebrated Ibn Jinni's (D.392 H.) book Ellame' fi Alarabiya to the extent that more than twenty two books are published aiming at discussing the book as is mentioned in bibliographies.
