Abstract:
The researcher has assessed the vocational training of educational colleges according to the comprehensive quality criteria. This assessment has been started from the indication that the performance level of teachers (primary, secondary and colleges for both humanities and scientific studies) has not reached the satisfied level that come with the ministry of education's systems, competencies and methodologies. The weaknesses of teachers' competencies can be attributed to the low vocational training at college's level which leads to the low academic level of students. The case of incompetent teachers represents a problem that lead to great critics against the ministry of education out comes from social, educational and media centers besides the critics of the students parents.Accordingly, it becomes very important to decide the vocational training level of educational colleges' students who will be primary and secondary schools teachers. Thus, there should be a need analysis to diagnose the weaknesses and shortcoming at teachers' training level and modern universal scales that are constructed according to comprehensive quality criteria to be used at training and development programs of educational colleges.The present study aims at finding out : 1. The vocational training level of educational colleges' students according to the comprehensive quality criteria from college teachers' perspective.2. The significant differences of the colleges' teachers' opinion at the vocational training level according to the following variables : (university, college, the scientific rank of the teacher).The study limits are : 1. Human limits : Educational college teachers at Baghdad universities.2. Place limits : the educational colleges of Baghdad city (university of Baghdad, university of Al Mustansaria, university of Al Iraqia).3. Time limits : Academic year 2014 - 2015.4. Subjects limits : The vocational training level of educational colleges' students according to the comprehensive quality criteria of Iraqi higher studies.The descriptive study is used to verify the study aims. The study sample consists of (230) teachers at the departments of educational and psychological studies of educational colleges at (university of Baghdad, university of Al Mustansaria, university of Al Iraqia) the sample is selected randomly from the population of (2156) individuals.The study tool which is constructed by the researcher is represented by a questionnaire of (120) items distributed into (6) fields (the aims of vocational training field, the subject matter field, teaching skills field, methodologies and learning sources field, ethics field and evaluation field).After displaying the questionnaire to the jury members the final number of indicators becomes (82) divided into five fields. The scale alternatives are represented in (verified, nearly verified, not verified).The SPSS is used to analyze the results, person correlation coefficient, weighting mean and percentage.The results of the present study are as follows : ? (78) Indicators exist in vocational training assessment of educational colleges' students and (4) indicators do not exist.? The following indicator (the aims of vocational training at the college guide are clear for the teachers, officials, students and society) gets the first rank and the second rank is for the following indicator (the department has annual and quarterly plans for its subject matters). On the other hand the indicator : the department compare the training of its students with other colleges students, gets the rank (81st ) and the last indicator states that the department shares the students with the assessment of the department activities by giving their opinion.? The teaching field gets the first rank while the evaluation field gets the last rank.? There are no significant differences in the vocational training of educational colleges' students according to the scientific rank (professor and assist professor).According to the results the researcher puts forward several recommendations and suggestions. 1 - Due to check the overall quality indicators in a professional setting for students of colleges of education researcher recommends the need to increase the interest in this calibrator indicators and make them part of the subjects that contribute to the process of professional preparation in the colleges of education in order to help graduates in their specialization and their future academic teaching.2 - The need for increased attention to vocational students preparing for colleges of education so as to benefit from the experiences of Arab and international experiences in the field of the overall quality of the educational process to provide different aspects such as the provision of curriculum and methods of teaching methods and examination system and everything related to the educational process. 3 - Students need to views and suggestions in care programs and courses of professional preparation for being Mahmor educational process. It suggests the researcher follows 1 - Conduct research to evaluate the academic preparation in light of the quality indicators mole. 2 - Conduct research to evaluate the professional preparation for students of other institutes and colleges in the light of the overall quality indicators. 3 - Conduct research to evaluate the scientific preparation of specialization for students of colleges of education in light of the overall quality indicators.
