Abstract: تناول هذا البحث دراسة الرمز في السينما الامريكية واليات صناعته فيها عن طريق اداة تحليل المضمون، كما تناول البحث دراسة انعكاسات الرمز في السينما الامريكية على الجمهور، عن طريق اجراء دراسة مسحية على جمهور مدينة بغداد المركز، وقد اعتمد الباحث في اجراء هذه ا | This research study symbol in American cinema and mechanisms symbol industry where by content analysis tool, also addressed the research study of the implications of the icon in American cinema to the public, by conducting a survey on the audience Baghdad city center, the researcher has adopted in this study on the hypothesis cultivation theory, notably : First hypothesis : US films and an effective means to inform the public of US culture and the formation of a positive mental images of the American reality.The second hypothesis : American films contribute to the formation of negative mental images to the public on the communities outside America.The third hypothesis : American films contribute to changing the culture of the public to amend or add new information were not previously exist.Fourth hypothesis : contribute to American films in the construction of ideas and actions and modify or enhance the formation or specific trends among the public about the internal or external issues. The researcher sought to achieve a number of goals, the most important (selecting the icon industry mechanisms in movies the US and the disclosure of major where aspects of Avatar, and see patterns of exposure audience Baghdad City Film and preferences of its own viewing, as well as to detect the levels of cultural planting exposure of US movies, and determine the relationship between demographic factors and patterns of exposure and planting achieved as a result of exposure to movies(. This study is one of the descriptive research, because the researcher was based on content analysis tool for achieving the goals of research associated with the industry icon in American cinema, through the analysis (40) Vilma US, representing the study sample analytical, as a researcher on the survey method adopted in his study to the public, using a tool questionnaire to get to know on the patterns of exposure and audience preferences Baghdad, as well as to test hypotheses and study the relationship between variables, where the researcher distributed form between the sample was chosen according to style Alacodeh cadastral - strong sample (520) of the respondents who watch American films.The research found a number of the most important results : With regard to the analytical study : 1 abundance aspects of symbolism in American films, as contained sample movies on (480) again, represented the most prominent aspects of those movies that sought to market them.2 Search Results showed pursuit of American films to marketing associated with the axis of security and military power models in the first place, the center of excellence in the US came in second only to the individual, of the seven themes that Hollywood has sought to marketing.With regard to the study of the public : 1 films in promoting the effectiveness of the American paradigm, and in the marketing of negative stereotypes about the other.2 Find revealed the ability of American films to achieve the cultural planting results, and that the level of this planting differed from respondent to another depending on demographic variables and viewing patterns.
