Abstract:

Until recently, the brain was a dark black box. The studies did not dare to break into it, and the mechanics of its work were activated, until the time the man developed his tools and opened windows revealing the darkness of the brain. The laboratory devices developed on the psychological, neurological, medical and intelligent levels. Experiments were done and results were obtained results, all seeking to reveal the mysteries of the brain.The linguistic research was not free from the development of neighboring sciences, and contributed to the tools it had, and the resulting results in the formation of a picture of the mechanism processing of information in the brain, and its relationship to resulting behavior, including linguistic behavior, taking advantage of its findings in other sciences of these , it was necessary to raise the slogan of "overlap of competencies" while maintaining the existence of each specialty, as science intersects the brain area, bringing about all the results.In the midst of all this, the science of the brain and its abilities met under the name of cognitive science, namely : psychology, artificial intelligence, neuroscience including physiological, linguistics, and anthropology, all of which became known as conative. This has resulted in a reconsideration of a number of lingual phenomena in linguistic research, the metaphor of borrowing by George Laikff and Mark Johnson in 1980.The second study focuses on how Arab researchers treated them. The study is of an exploratory origin, then an assessment of the efforts of the Arab researchers, and that it is a difficult task. Because the novelty of the related ideas by the one hand, and the subject's capacity on the other. The first chapter was devoted to giving account of the stage of the emergence of cognitive linguistics and the main theoretical foundations on which it was built this orientation.The second chapter focused on giving account the most important Arab studies that dealt with the language from the perspective of cognitive linguistics.
