Abstract: The present thesis consists of an introduction, three chapters, and a preface explaining the nature of “concord” according to Arabic linguists. Chapter one contains two sections. Section one is entitled “concord between subject and predicate”. Section two is entitled “concord between verb and subject”. Concord deals in this section with number and genre. This type is applied to the Glorious Quran. Chapter two consists of four sections. The first section deals with concord between noun and adjective. Adjective here is of two types : real adjective as in number, genre and definiteness and indefiniteness, and causal adjective. It deals with definiteness and indefiniteness. All Quranic examples are applied to this. Chapter two focuses on “concord and conjunctions”. Conjunction is in turn of two types. All Quranic examples in this domain are given. Section three deals with concord and apposition. Apposition has four types. Chapter three deals with “concord between pronoun and its referent”. This chapter has four sections. The first one is “concord between the singular pronoun and its referent”. It has two sections : when the pronoun is masculine singular or feminine singular. Examples are given from the Glorious Quran. Section two deals with “concord between Dual Pronoun and its Referent”. Quranic examples are given here. Section three discusses “Concord between plural pronoun and its referent”. It has two subsections : when the pronoun is masculine plural and when the pronoun is feminine plural. Examples are given from the Glorious Quran. Section four deals with “concord between partition pronoun. The thesis ends up with conclusions and references
