Abstract:
The problem of current research is; the traditional methods used in schools now, It's limited to rote recitations and it's not pay attention to Individual differences of students or their learning patterns or types , that resulting to lack of student interaction with the subject , so the problem of current research have been identified, in the following question : " What the impact of building an Instructional design according to the Differentiated instruction strategies on the Achievement of Biology subject and cognitive failure at high school female students ? "The aims of this research is : 1 - Building an instructional design according to the Differentiated instruction strategies.2 - Verification of the impact of instructional design is built according to the Differentiated instruction strategies on the Achievement of Biology subject for a female students of fourth Grade scientific Branch.3 - Verification of the impact of instructional design is built according to the Differentiated instruction strategies on the cognitive failure for a female students of fourth Grade scientific BranchAnd to realization of this aims ,the following two zero hypothesis are set : 1 - There is no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group who studied according to the instructional design is built according to theDifferentiated instruction strategies and the average of the control group who studied with the normal way, in the achievement test.2 - There is no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group who studied according to the instructional design is built according to the Differentiated instruction strategies and the average of the control group who studied with the normal way, in cognitive failures questionnaire (CFQ).In order to validate these two hypotheses, the researcher built an instruction design and executed an experiment took full academic year. The researcher adopter the experimental method adopted of equal groups with a post - test, to biology subject and the cognitive failure questionnaire for the female students. the research sample represented by the fourth grade scientific Branch female students in one in one of the morning hight schools belong to Directorate of Baghdad's Education / 1st Al - Rusafa, distributed to two sections, one is represented the experimental group (35 students) studied by the instructional design according to the differentiated instruction strategies, and the other represented the control group (35 students), the two groups are equaled in the variable (intelligence, age, previous information, former achievement of biology subject, cognitive failure).The researcher prepare the two tools of research, one is a test of achievement in the Biology subject contained (60) item, (44) item objective type (multiple choice), and (16) essay. The second tool consisted cognitive failure questionnaire (CFQ) of Broadbent and his colleagues 1982 adopted by the researcher and translated with translateand Reverse Translate way , and it has been the expense of Validity and calculate the difficulty , distinctive power and the effective of wrong alternatives of them and then it has been found the reliability of tools using (Cronbach's alpha ).The experience lasted for full academic year, and the researcher taught the two groups of search by herself, after the completion of the experiment the results were analyzed statistically by recourse to Statistical Package SPSS , and using the (t - test) for two independent equal sample, the results have shown; Superiority the performance of the experimental group over the control group in each of the achievement test and measure of cognitive failure. Thus, it was rejected the two zero hypotheses to current research, with these results the researcher concluded that the instructional design that built according to the differentiated instruction have positive impact in the Achievement of Biology subject for a female students of fourth Grade scientific Branch , and in reducing the cognitive failure.In light of this, the researcher put a number of recommendations and suggestions based on search results.
